Today I've made a video explaining the philosophy behind the use of essential dignities.
For example, why did ancient astrologers ever categorize Venus in Aries as "detrimental," or Jupiter in Cancer as "exalted?" Were these categories just simple prejudices, or was there something deeper at work? Also, how should we use this language today? I've made this video after something of a public debate took place over the weekend about the language of the dignities, which a number of my students emailed me about.
