Hey everyone. This is Adam Elenbaas from Nightlight Astrology [https://nightlightastrology.com/].
Today we're going to continue our exploration of Mercury and Mars conjoining in Scorpio. We're going to look at it today through the lens of the upcoming Grand Water Trine. And I'm going to give you some horoscopes for all 12 signs that are both focused on the house that Mercury and Mars are conjoining in that whole sign, House of Scorpio in your chart, while also anticipating the Grand Water Trine and the connection to those trigonally connected houses.
If you're not familiar with that in Indian astrology, those houses connected by Trigon are also connected philosophically. So we're going to be looking at one house as it is, sort of prompting a conversation between all three in your chart today. I think this will make for some unique horoscopes. I hope that you will enjoy them.
So before we get into it, as always, remember to like and subscribe, share your comments if you have them. That helps the algorithm find us. Turn on the notification bell for updates that's going to help you find us on youtube regularly, all of those things really do help us grow, especially your subscription.
If you listen regularly, you can find transcripts of any of our daily talks on or any of my daily talks on the website, Nightlight astrology.com and when you are over there, I want to promote a few things. One is this Thursday night, I'm giving a talk go to live talks. I'm giving a talk on the second house. That is from seven to 9pm October 23 if you want to learn more about the roots of the money house, the underlying philosophical meaning of this house, and how you can read it more accurately in your chart, a lot of people have questions about money and finances, very basic part of our lives that a lot of people ask astrologers about.
So learn more about that in this talk, it's from seven to 9pm eastern this Thursday night. If you can't attend, of course, you will get the recording afterward. Then silent Sundays. If you want to get together for some quiet time in group and community, once a month, I'm starting to host silent Sundays. It's about half an hour of sitting in quiet together in community. It's free to attend. Just click on the join link that you find there on the silent Sundays page, trying to create a little bit more opportunities for spiritual growth and spiritual community connected to the channel.
That's why I also show you what's on my altar on Mondays to hopefully encourage some people to start an altar practice. This is something similar. I hope you'll check it out. Finally, Courses page, our first year course, ancient astrology for the modern mystic, begins again. November 8, new cohort starting. There's an informational video on the page, and at the end of today's talk as well, you'll learn more about the program.
At the bottom, you'll find the early bird rates those last until October 24 come study with us. You can save quite a bit on the cost of the course through this early bird sale. There's also need based tuition assistance. If you are someone who needs a little help to make the program happen, we are very glad for you to use that and choose your tuition within a sliding scale.
That's also for really anyone who has any financial need or hardship or you can't afford the course because it pushes you outside of your means. We want to make sure that people aren't priced out of studying a sacred time. It's also a big part of our programs that emphasizes astrology as a spiritual practice.
Every day, I've been saying something about why I think it's worthwhile to take an astrological training program like this upcoming course. Astrology at Nightlight is considered a spiritual practice in the same way that so many ancient practitioners describe. The first reason for practicing Astrology, for studying astrology seriously is that it becomes a spiritual path, not just what does my birth chart tell me or what's going to happen to me, which are all important parts of learning and important part of doing astrology, but studying astrology at Nightlight is really setting you up for a life of living astrology as a spiritual path.
That is something we emphasize and teach in everything that we do at Nightlight. So that's one main benefit that I think our programs provide people with, and I hope you'll check them out. All right. On that note, let's turn our attention to the real time clock. Here we go.
So we're looking at the moon entering the sign of Scorpio today, which is going to further emphasize the mercury Mars conjunction that is just now separating in the sky as of this morning, it really came through yesterday, and we spent some significant time on the channel yesterday exploring that conjunction.
What I want to do today are some horoscopes that focus on that whole sign house of Scorpio in particular, but then also connect this to the approaching Grand Water Trine in three connected houses, the houses that are Trigon, that are connected by Trigon, which means Trine, the triangular houses, are all expressing a similar philosophical concept in ancient Vedic Astrology and the trigonal houses are obviously connected in ancient Hellenistic astrology as well.
So I'm going to be giving you a little tour of not just the mercury Mars conjunction in your birth chart right now, but also the connection to the upcoming Grand Water Trine. I think it's worth mentioning that this is a very important window of time between today Tuesday. I. October 21 and let's stretch this out as the moon goes through Scorpio and kind of converges with Mercury and Mars by Thursday, October 23 and that's going to be activating the Grand Water Trine ahead of Mercury and Mars, doing so, which occurs by the end of the week as Mercury trine Jupiter, and then by Saturday into Sunday, Mercury will start trining Saturn, kind of completing its tour through the Grand Water Trine, but the moon is really kicking it off, starting today.
So the rest of this week, you're starting to see the first iteration of our Grand Water Trine. Okay, so that's the short version of that. We'll be spending more time with the Grand Water Trine signature as the week goes on. What I again, what I want to do today is just sort of take a look at this mercury Mars conjunction.
And what I'm going to do now is I'm going to get rid of everything on the screen except for our Grand Water Trine planets. So give me just let me get rid of a whole bunch of stuff, and here we go. Oh, one more I need to get rid of is Venus. Let's get rid of Venus on the screen. And this is what we have. These are the Grand Water Trine planets forming in the sky this week.
Now I've taken out the north node of the moon, which is also in Pisces, but you get the idea. So what I'm going to do now is I'm going to take this through all 12 whole sign house horoscopes, and I'm just adjusting to get Aries on the screen here. And you can consider this a forecast that is not only applicable for the Mercury Mars conjunction yesterday and today, which could be very useful just as a standalone horoscope, but also as a horoscope pertaining to the Grand Water Trine, as it's applying this week throughout three whole houses in your chart.
So what I'm going to do is I'm going to start off by focusing on the whole sign House position of Scorpio, and then expand into the philosophical area of life, denoted by all three houses, connected by Trine. And I'll explain what that means as we go along, you'll see me demonstrating it. So let's start with Aries.
The sign of Aries, the mercury Mars conjunction, is taking place in your eighth house. I think of that as both a termination of or initiation of soul contracts with other people. It's about the depth that's being exchanged mentally, verbally and energetically with other people, the give and take, the fairness of it, the power dynamics within those relationships and an exploration of those things.
Now, more broadly speaking, as the week goes on, we're seeing three houses connected by Trine that the Grand Water Trine, especially activated by the moon, this week will be opening up for you. Those three houses, 12, four and eight are all what we call Moksha houses. That means that all three houses pertain to some of the work you're doing in this lifetime that has to do with liberation from karmic entanglements.
These houses have a particularly potent way of making us look at unhealthy attachments and the process of liberating ourselves from unhealthy attachments as a matter of spiritual evolution from lifetime to lifetime. And so consider this week to be one of profound emotional release the exploration of these eighth house soul contracts is connected to a much deeper and broader process of liberation from karma in general.
So that's the way you can look at this for Aries rising. Let's move forward to Taurus rising. We can see that the mercury Mars conjunction is taking place in the seventh house. What are the important exchanges and dynamics within relationships that are taking place for you right now as a Taurus, that's what Mercury and Mars is focusing on, however, more broadly speaking, as Mercury and Mars in the seventh house are focused on relationships for Tauruses this week.
More broadly speaking, the 11th, seventh and third houses are being activated by the Grand Water Trine. These are comma houses. They have to do with pleasure. They have to do with like gratification and pleasure and happiness, usually socially, but also mentally and emotionally. So this is a week for Tauruses, where explorations of healthy versus unhealthy pleasure and emotional connections with other people and those that are appropriate versus inappropriate, the potential for greater depth and intimacy and happiness and pleasure, and maybe there's also some need for emotional releasing or processing that's happening within those relationships.
That's part of the conversation of how to make life happier. So this is a way of thinking about the Grand Water Trine, as well as the union of Mercury and Mars. Let's go forward to Gemini. For Gemini, Mercury and Mars are meeting in your sixth house. What kinds of things are you working on right now? What kinds of things are you finding mentally or emotionally draining or taxing? Where are you being.
Asked to persevere or chop wood and carry water even though you don't want to. What is the work that's really on your mind? What's the sacrifice, the suffering, service that you're doing right now? These are questions that the sixth house will tend to bring up very acutely when Mercury and Mars get together.
However, this is also facilitating a much broader conversation between the sixth, the second and the 10th houses. These are the art te houses, the places of work in the world, the places that pertain to our need to survive and thrive materially, to build assets and acquisitions and resources a degree of mastery over the material world through skill and career and money and things like that.
This is a week in which there's a significant shifting or gathering or pooling together of resources, or there's some kind of shift in the emotional dynamics related to your assets, resources and possessions. Sometimes we need, almost like an emotional reorientation of how we're dealing with or managing physical, worldly things.
I wouldn't be surprised to see some pretty big shifts this week for Geminis relative to material assets and resources coming off from whatever the most critical degrees of work or the most critical degrees of sacrifice or service that you're working through right now. Now, let's go forward to cancers. For cancers, we're looking at Mercury and Mars in the fifth house coming together in the place of creative fulfillment, things like children pregnancy, things like creative fulfillment and creative Dharma was associated with this house.
Now, the meeting of these two planets in this house could very easily speak to the need to express yourself with greater depth and authenticity, to communicate or convey something that is both creative and deeper, perhaps more vulnerable and honest with yourself or with others, getting to the bottom of things that either block or free you up creatively and then looking and noticing, okay, these Grand Water Trine is forming as the week goes on in what are called the Dharma houses.
This has to do with understanding truth, understanding what is real and what is essential about yourself, but also about reality. And this is a week for profound learning, learning about self, primarily for cancers, learning about who you are and what's inside of you, and how to access it more authentically, but also that truth is connected to higher truth and to advancing spiritually philosophically, to becoming wiser somehow.
So those are the things I'm looking for. For cancers this week, let's move on to Leos. For Leos, we're looking at the meeting of Mercury and Mars in your fourth house, the place of home and family. What kinds of conversations are taking place around your family relationships within your home and living environment? What are the deeper, more probing investigations that you're doing? What are you trying to get to the bottom of with respect to home? What is the private inner landscape of your life like right now? What do you hide from people rather than show people.
These are the deeper, more deeply rooted kinds of things coming up with Mercury and Mars in that fourth house of home and family or private interior life. However, as the week goes on, these are connecting to the Grand Water Trine forming with Saturn and Jupiter in the eighth and fourth houses. These take us back to the Moksha houses.
The Moksha houses, again have to do with release, release from suffering, release from attachments, release from things that are meant to be let go of to facilitate greater enlightenment, greater Lightness of Being. And so there's a really profound opportunity for Leos this week for greater spiritual release relative to home and family, relative to that inner private sphere of your psychology, maybe the stuff that people don't see as much, or maybe things that live in the ancestral or family background, your family history, your upbringing, an opportunity for release around the roots.
So watch for that greater feeling of release to be quite profound as the week goes on. All right, so for Virgos, we're looking at Mercury and Mars conjoining in your third house. What is on your mind? What is on your what is coming up for you mentally and emotionally? What impulses are you following? What things are you needing to say or speak or convey or communicate? What are you passionate about learning or getting better at so very mental and emotional place for Virgos this week, things that need to be said or that are maybe difficult to say, things coming up with respect to siblings, sibling dynamics and so forth.
Now we're seeing. Is that the Grand Water Trine will be connecting off from this mercury Mars meeting in houses 11, seven and three. So these are comma houses. They have to do with pleasure and happiness. The question this week is, how does the proper regulation honoring and development of your own mental, intellectual and emotional capacities, the need to speak and convey things that are authentic and acknowledging of how you feel and think, how do they convey and connect to other dimensions of life and the broader question of how happy you can be, social happiness, interpersonal happiness, what are you seeking? How are you seeking it? And how are you seeking some greater sense of happiness in the world and with other human beings? It comes back to how you're incorporating and integrating your own personal, mental, emotional, psychological dynamics.
So for Virgos, that's a big deal this week, and don't be surprised if there's also questions about competition, or, you know, almost like, how much can I, or should I be compromising with other people based on my own needs and desires and how? You know, those are important too obviously. So anyway, let's move on to Libras, the mercury Mars dynamic is forming, sorry, here we go, forming in your second house.
This is the place of assets, money, resources, income and expenditures. So what kinds of conversations are taking place right now? What kind of deadlines or bills are being paid. What kind of needs do you have? What kinds of skill development or acquisition of resources are you pursuing, and what kind of expenditures are coming up? What's taxing you mentally and emotionally, what's draining your resources versus what's filling them up, giving you more resources.
So a pretty acute conversation around things like money and resources for Librans this week, but connecting this now to Saturn and Jupiter in houses 10 and six as the week goes on, the Grand Water Trine forms in the art te houses, the broader conversation about work in the world, reputation, vocation, earning a living, power and influence in the world, abilities and mastery in the world.
So there's a much broader conversation built off from questions about money and resources that sort of expand into much broader questions about power, influence, development and success, materially, that are going to be taking place for Librans. All right, let's go forward to Scorpios. If you're a Scorpio, this week, the mercury Mars conjunction is forming in your first house.
The place of character, the place of body and the place of identity. This is a place where, when these two planets get together, how you're speaking, how you're thinking, how you're asserting yourself, how you're speaking your mind or not, become really important. Are you being too strong? Are you being a little bit pushy? Are you being too demanding? Or are you having to face some fears and speak up or speak out? Development of mental capacities, pursuing your ambitions, mentally and emotionally, being strong minded and strong willed.
These are all features of what Scorpios could be experiencing this week, for better or worse. Now, the Grand Water Trine is going to be connecting off from this mercury Mars meeting in your first house of identity through the fifth and ninth houses. These are all Dharma houses, which means that at the root of this Grand Water Trine, you could say is an exploration of what is real and what is true, first and foremost, about you, about who you are, about what's authentic, about who you are, about what's right and good that you should be developing or cultivating within who you are and about what is right good, real and true with Respect to reality itself.
This is the week to get more authentic, to get wiser, to get better as a person and to understand more about reality itself. So a lot of opportunity for that coming through mental, emotional strength in the first house, and compassion and softness coming in good measure together. I think. All right, we move on to Sagittarius, where we see Mercury and Mars combining in your 12th house.
Now, in the 12th house, these two planets come together in what could be a bit of a blind spot, a place where we're not always in control. We can't always see what's happening behind the scenes or benefic the surface. And so how are we being put in touch with mental emotional patterns or people or environments that undermine us? Whether, again, it's coming from our self or someone or something else, becoming more aware of what is healthy versus unhealthy, mentally, energetically, emotionally is really important.
What kinds of talk is supportive versus not supportive? Again. Whether it's within or people around us, where are we sabotaging ourselves, or where are we allowing someone or something else to do so these are really good, healthy explorations of an unconscious dynamic in the 12th house that Mercury and Mars could bring up this week.
Also, any time spent in solitude or quiet could be quite profound and provide you with some really unique insights. So I would encourage that. But also, as the week goes on, these planets will be connecting to Jupiter and Saturn forming the Grand Water Trine, and so those houses are all connecting us back to Moksha.
Moksha, broadly speaking, across these three houses, has to do with liberation from entanglements, liberation from the stuff that keeps us stuck in an old story, liberation from falsehoods or illusions and any, again, any kind of unhealthy attachment. And so this is a profound week for Sagittarians to really let go of things that are not serving.
Let go of toxic, bitter, negative mental or emotional energies or patterns or relationships or obligations to other people. This could be very freeing mentally and emotionally when all is said and done, but it will perhaps involve relinquishment of various kinds of attachments. Let's move on to Capricorn. With Capricorn, we're looking at the mercury Mars conjunction taking place in the 11th house, groups, friends, allies, the social dimension of life.
If you think about the 11th house as a comma house, it's connecting, of course, as the week rolls on to Jupiter and Saturn in houses three and seven, all of those are comma houses. But if you think of the 11th house as our starting point, this is a House speaking to that topic of comma, happiness and pleasure, that is about the kind of happiness and pleasure that's socially formed and conditioned we all have a sense of how we ideally find ourselves in the world, fitting in receiving a feeling of well being or status or praise or support or success that is socially visible or socially defined or conditioned in some way, that's a really important it's an important moment for Capricorns right now to be pursuing things that grant some greater sense of social acknowledgement or success, or even social harmony or connection with others that You see as valuable or important or strong in some way.
But then also, there could be moments of almost having to, you know, make difficult decisions or come to hard determinations or conclusions about who and what is really capable of providing a degree of happiness or success socially, and what isn't this would be a good moment to explore relationships that are advantageous but that you can live with versus those that are advantageous but maybe you can't live with it.
So is it worth the trade off? I think the broader question as the week goes on, though, is what does happiness look like for me? And the social component to that happiness, the broader social or collective component, is being examined in maybe a way that's pretty intense. All right, going on to Aquarius, we see the mercury Mars conversation in your 10th house.
That's the place of career, vocation, the workplace, your reputation or status in the world, the influence or power or mastery that you have or are known for within a craft or trade or something like that. So Mercury Mars in this house could be a really strong moment of mind or will or voice, accomplishing something, setting your mind to something, maybe also difficult conversations in the workplace.
Now the as the week rolls on, and this kind of acute moment is happening in the sphere of work and career, it's connecting to Saturn and Jupiter in the sixth and second houses. These are the art the houses. So this week for Aquarians, there's a lot with respect to work in the world, material resources, assets, paying the bills, developing wealth, acquisition status, materially, accumulating things, accumulating ability or status or recognition.
Materially, those are, then there's maybe some something that has to be processed or let go of or a kind of difficult conversation, or almost like a come to Jesus moment with respect to the direction your life is taking on the material plane, what is or isn't really supportive, or how you are defining success. Now for Pisceans, we're looking at the meeting of Mercury and Mars in your ninth house, the place of the higher mind, education, spirituality, religion, pilgrimage, understanding what is truth in the highest sense.
This is, of course, a Dharma house that pertains to what is real, what is true, what is good in the universe itself. So that very high level. But this is also. Also a conversation philosophically or with respect to things like ideology or morality or beliefs or religion or learning that is going to filter into the other two Dharma houses through the Grand Water Trine as the week goes on, meaning what's happening in that philosophical realm of the higher mind this week and encounters or clashes that you're having about what is real or true or good in some higher minded sense are connected deeply to an evolution of what is real or true or good within yourself.
And so that's how the Grand Water Trine is going to be showing up as the week progresses, connecting to that broader topic of dharma. All right. Well, I hope that this exploration has been useful. I thought it would be interesting to kind of pair the meeting of Mercury and Mars with this flowing set of trine to the other planets in those in that, you know, philosophically connected area of life, I have found, personally, that's a really useful way of conceptualizing big connections happening between three houses at once, perfect For the Grand Water Trine this autumn.
So anyway, I hope you're having a good day. Check out the informational video about the year. One program that follows after I sign off, you'll find that and I hope to see you in classes soon. Remember that one thing you're going to get consistently throughout all the training programs we offer at Nightlight is learning to see and live and walk astrology as a spiritual path.
That is a great value, I think, in all of our programs. So I hope you'll check it out. Use that need based tuition, if it'll help. All right. Take it easy. Everyone. Bye.
