What if the universe's call for revolution asks not for force, but for a profound and patient humility? This week, the Sun in Scorpio activates a major configuration in the heavens, touching off a sequence of events that speaks directly to the soul's desire for liberation and the structures that contain it. In this reflective talk, we explore the Sun's movement into a Grand Water Trine with Jupiter and Saturn, and its subsequent opposition to Uranusโa moment that coincides with a potent New Moon and a rare Mercury cazimi.

We often feel that to change our lives, we must seize control and force a breakthrough. But what if the most revolutionary act is to refine our attention, to do the small things well, and to trust a timing beyond our own will? Drawing on a timely reading from the I Ching, we contemplate the archetypal wisdom of "lying low" and "modesty" as the true path to alignment with a fate that wishes to be born through us, not just by our own hands.

"There is a revolutionary impulse in the air, a gathering tide that wants to break the mold. Yet the wisdom for this moment suggests that if we try to force it, to will it into being too quickly, we may miss its divine timing. The real work is to become a channel for the revolution, not its dictator. By focusing on the small, present-moment tasks with care and humility, we paradoxically align ourselves with the very change we seek, allowing it to birth us rather than us trying to birth it."

Hey everyone. This is Adam Elenbaas from Nightlight Astrology [https://nightlightastrology.com/].
Today we are going to take a look at the sun in Scorpio moving into the Grand Water Trine with Jupiter and Saturn, while it is also moving closer to an opposition with Uranus, which will be forming at the same time as a new moon and a Mercury cazimi in the middle of next week.
This is the sun creating a major revolutionary moment. This is on my list of new moons in 2025 at the very top of my list for one of the most dynamic.
And so the sun moving into this dynamic right now is what I want to be meditating on over the going into the weekend, because I think that's going to prepare us for what's to come next week, which will also be spending a significant amount of time with on the channel next week. So anyway, that's our agenda for today.
Before we get into it, remember to Like, Subscribe, hype us all of the things, but especially subscribe. We are trying to get to 100,000 subscribers on the channel by next year, and for anyone who watches us regularly but is not yet subscribed, taking a single second to just click that subscribe button helps us grow so much. We really do appreciate it.

Those of you signed up and are about ready to journey, take this journey with us. We're really excited to meet you, and we'll see you in class this weekend.
Okay, on that note, let's take a look at the real time clock.
First of all, I just want to highlight the timeline and the details that I'm looking at before I give you a list of five things to watch for. This five. This list of five things to watch for that I'm working with today is based on my morning ritual with the I Ching.
I've included this a little bit more recently. Sometimes you guys can watch my channel for a while. Know that sometimes the I Ching makes an appearance. I am going to be sharing with you some nice passages from the I Ching a very specific reading given the astrology of the next week that I sat with this morning as I wrote my talk for the day.
So that will play a role in the five things to watch for. But before I get there, let me just again tell you about the details. Here we are, Friday, November 14. The sun is at 22 and a half Scorpio, and you can see, oh, big arrows out.
You can see that the sun is going to be trining Jupiter and Saturn. It's just a couple of degrees off, and we'll be making that Trine by Monday. So we go to Monday November 17, just a few days from right now. And now you can see, oh, tiny arrow now.
And now you can see that the Grand Water Trine is exact. This connection between all three planets is something I've spent exploring the Grand Water Trine itself in a number of previous episodes. You could look back do a little Grand Water Trine.
Search on my channel, you're going to find lots of videos over the past couple of months where I've talked at length about this major watery signature in the sky.
What I want to do today is just say a few brief things about that part of it, but then recontextualize This Grand Water Trine within another sequence of events that's happening that is very, very powerful.
So let's take a look at that next what's happening as the Grand Water Trine forms next week is The Sun is getting closer to an opposition with Uranus. So This Grand Water Trine that the sun meets with Jupiter and Saturn is immediately followed by a sun Uranus opposition, which is a major astrological event that we you know, if.
You've been again, if you've been around my channel for a while, you know I always cover the sun, Uranus, oppositions and the new moon will be forming in Scorpio at the exact same time as this opposition, while Mercury is also cazimi.
Let me just show you more specifically what this looks like. I'm going to advance this by hours so we can get to the exact hour of the new moon. Here is the exact hour of the new moon. This is like a little this is Thursday, November 20, about 12:40am Central time.
So that's going to be what 11:40pm Mountain. You know, you might be still kind of late evening on the on the West Coast, or what have you. But you get the idea this New Moon is forming.
Notice that mercury is right at the heart of the sun. So as the new moon forms, very rare that we get a Mercury cazimi at the exact forming of a new moon. So the new moon cycle toned by a powerful Mercury cazimi.
And what else? The fact that that New Moon is happening with the mercury cazimi, that it's all within three degrees of coming off the Grand Water Trine, and that these are all taking place at the 28th degree of Scorpio, just a degree off from an exact opposition to Uranus and Taurus.
Wow, that, and that's why it's a big deal. Now next week, we're going to spend a significant amount of time on the new moon, on the mercury cazimi, the opposition to Uranus. We're going to say a lot about that.
So today is meant to prep us by giving us a few of the details to start thinking about as we go into the weekend. Namely, I want to start by thinking what it might mean that the sun is the one activating the Grand Water Trine and then hitting the opposition to Uranus. We'll fill in the rest of the details later.
First of all, there is no symbol in ancient astrology, generally speaking, more connected to our evolving and growing sense of purpose, ambition, intentions and life direction than the sun.
The sun is like that perfect triangle that we see in our mind's eye when we get an idea. Ah, this is what I'm going to do with my life. Ah, this is the direction we're going to head in as a couple. Ah, this is the direction I'm going to take my business in, or this is where I'm taking my spiritual practice, or my health or whatever.
We are all living with ideals that come up and flash like golden, beautiful images. They're like perfect triangles in the Platonic mind of the universe, you know. And then we set that ideal before us, and we say, I'm going to try to get my life to match that ideal as closely as I can.
If my if my life, in some area of my life, can come to resemble that ideal as closely as possible, then I'll be happy. And we often find the evolutionary journey of life is about getting as close as we can to that ideal.
And then we get there, and we go, oh, well, that does give me some degree of satisfaction or happiness, you know. And as soon as we get there, usually we go, what's next, which is why ancient Mystic said we keep incarnating, and we have a new sun sign and a new birth chart in a new lifetime, because there will be a new collection of images that shape and steer a broad sense of ambition, purpose and direction in a new lifetime, but within a lifetime, week by week, month by month, year by year, decade by decade, there are New Directions, New ambitions, new intentions, little micro ones that appear up, that appear in life, in all the different areas of life, regularly, and that evolving sense of, what's the triangle I'm chasing, what's the ideal I'm trying to approximate? Why do I think it will give me happiness? What what comes into my life and gives me some ideal and convinces me is this will provide me with happiness? What is, how does that desire manifest in us?
Those are the philosophical questions that the sun also gets us to reflect on as we evolve, pursue our ideals, get as close as we can to them, and then reflect upon why we ever did that in the first place, right? And this is human, and it's beautiful and it's interesting. It's like a Choose Your Own Adventure book.
So here's the sun activating the Grand Water Trine as the sun activates it. And the reason where I'm saying the sun activates it's because it's the fastest moving planet. When you have weightier planets, like Jupiter or Saturn just sitting there, slowly moving, and they're connected by a Trine, and then you have a third piece that comes in and activates the third leg of the triangle, so to speak, that fast moving planet is the one through which the slower two are typically experienced.
So let's go back to Jupiter and Saturn. What do we know about those two planets? And how might the sun, with its sense of evolving purpose and direction and ambitions, activate the Jupiter Saturn part of it?
Well, Jupiter and Saturn we've been talking about on this channel in the Synodic Cycle, represent the. Evolution of structures in our life, structures that are meant to grant a sense of meaning, coherence, purpose.
I've mentioned this many times, but Jupiter in the world gives rise to things like things like universities, religions, the justice system, governmental systems that ideally are supposed to be vessels of meaning and purpose and order, divine order, a justice system ideally keeps things fair and equitable. A religious system ideally keeps us connected to the Divine, enchanted cosmos.
A university helps us to learn more about truth and dharmas. What is reality? These are ideally what these systems, jupiterian systems, are supposed to do for us. But they go through so many we go through so many changes in our life with respect to how wisdom and understanding and the structures are evolving.
For example, Jupiter Saturn dynamics are known for coming about at times where legal systems are changing, governmental regimes are changing, institutions are changing, laws are changing. You know, the paradigms of religion and education are changing, but when we boil that down to a person on a personal level, it means, how are the structures of our lives changing to accommodate new understanding and new wisdom.
So we know that the Jupiter Saturn part of the Grand Water Trine right now is about this nice moment where we should be seeing a gathering of new resources, new wisdom, the evolution and development of new structures dating back to the conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn in 2020 and that should feel like something that's happening in our personal lives in one way or another.
We could notice it societally or what have you. But now we see the sun coming in to activate This Grand Water Trine. And so the connection between life purpose, life direction and the ongoing revision or development of new structures that are accommodating new wisdom.
That's how you put it all together. It sounds like a lot, and sometimes it's hard to see our lives from, you know, that 20,000 foot perspective. So so we can identify where are the structures changing? How are the paradigms changing? How am I growing in wisdom, and how is that redirecting my sense of life purpose?
How are my ambitions being shaped or reshaped right now, as wisdom and structures are growing and changing, but this is a good moment to be reflecting on those those things is the point now, simultaneously, the element of water suggests that all of this may be toned by themes of greater emotional maturity, greater depth of emotional awareness or intelligence, healing, emotionally nurturance, emotional connection with others, bondedness and Healthy forms of attachment or interdependence all water themes, so you put all of that together, it's a pretty powerful moment.
It's a moment where life purpose, direction, our ambitions are being redesigned, redirected as deeper forms of emotional intelligence are rising up and also asking us to revise much broader, bigger paradigms and structures in our lives.
Okay, so that's like the celestial engineering language, right? But it becomes really interesting to me that all of that is taking place as the sun is also moving into this opposition with Uranus, as a new New Moon will be forming in the opposition to Uranus, and as Mercury will be cazimi in opposition to Uranus.
That's a lot. So that's all happening by the middle of next week. What I want to do now is give you five things to watch for. And I want to give you these five things to watch for, along the lines of the I Ching reading that I did this morning, that I asked when I asked the I Ching to give me some insight for the preparation of this talk, which is something I frequently do, by the way, sort of behind the scenes.
One of the the way that I phrased the question was, what do we make of This Grand Water Trine being activated by the Sun given the upcoming oppositions to Uranus that are also forming at the exact same time.
This is the reading that I got, hexagram 62 changing to hexagram 15. That is sometimes the hexagram 62 is sometimes called lying low, and 15 is called modesty. So what I want to do is read you this. I want to give you the reading of the hexagrams first, and then give you the list of five things to watch for, and put those five things in the context of the reading so that they make greater they make better sense.
Okay, let's get into it. So hexagram 62 a beautiful hexagram. Uh, means lying low. So here it is, do everything there is to do a little bit better than everybody else. Pay attention to the details, and in that way, you shall achieve success.
The timing for your intentions is not right at the moment, it is still premature for you to take action. Initiate small changes toward your goal. Do not petition for a dramatic change or instant results. Advance up the ladder one rung at a time, great prosperity, if you heed the message.
This, by the way, is benefel Wenz translation, which I've been raving about lately. Here's more. There is Thunder atop the mountain, inciting small movements, but keeping the greater matter at rest. Maintain stability in the wider foundation, but pay attention to the details and initiate small changes toward progress.
A bird in flight delivers a message, it is not the proper time to strive upward. Instead, strive downward. Seek not from heaven the heavens, but seek from the underworld. Seek not to compete with heaven, but if you strive ambitiously, then seek to understand the shadows.
Strive downward, not upward. Let the downward striving hoist you up great prosperity and fortune if you heed the message. That's also by the way, one way that the I Ching has of saying, you'll be in trouble if you don't, it is not time for expanding. It is time for refining.
The sage is humbler than the humble, expressing more heartfelt sorrow than the sorrowful, and it is more frugal than the frugal. Do everything there is to do a little bit better than everybody else. Pay attention to the details, and in that way, you shall achieve success.
There will be fruition if you persevere through your endeavor, but undertake it one small step at a time. Pay attention to the details. Notice how many times we're instructed to pay attention to small things, to small detailed things, to doing things just a little bit better than people often tend to do them because you're paying attention to those small things, rather than brushing over them because you're obsessed about getting to the next thing or achieving some great big thing.
In the opening lines, hexagram 62 warns not to be overly ambitious in trying to overpower Heaven's Will and nature. The short term gains yielded from such ambition will be eclipsed by the long term disasters that ensue.
The progression of the first six lines relay that narrative, and what will happen if the warnings in the opening line is not heated, do not ascend, but you may endeavor to descend. That is really fascinating.
Now, before I go on, I just want to share a few initial thoughts about this. When this hexagram came up for me, the first thing that came to my mind is the fact that This Grand Water Trine is bringing a flood of very powerful energy or emotions, and then immediately Uranus.
There's a big opposition from Uranus to Uranus, to me, that speaks to the feeling that we may be tempted by the desire to do something big, or to create a major shift, or to create a very profound breakthrough.
But this hexagram coming up in relation to these events suggests almost exactly the opposite, where it says something like, if you want a really big change, be careful not to push for it too hard, too fast, too quick, because there's something about this moment That's not conducive even though there's a revolutionary impulse or revolutionary desire or intention or vision that following that impulse too quickly, too recklessly, things are not going to work.
There are revolutionary moments in our lives where, if you look back on it, you can identify, yeah, this was a revolutionary moment. However, the way that the impulse was followed, it didn't work out. I can't tell you how many times I've done readings for people that are truly in a revolutionary moment in their life, but they don't pay attention to the timing.
There's like an alignment that gets missed, and because of missing that alignment, they're not able to, almost like receive the catalyzing force of the revolutionary impulse. And so instead, it becomes destructive, or they follow the wrong thing, or they do something. Thing that's lacking substance.
It's like the impulse of being in your mid 40s and wanting to act out because you're in midlife and you buy a car that you know doesn't actually satisfy the revolutionary impulse of the soul. Instead of buying a car, you need to make a change to your heart, your soul, your consciousness, but you buy a car instead.
You follow the impulse, but not in alignment. So this hexagram is really interesting because it speaks at a very deep level to a revolutionary impulse, but really biding your time, being patient and focusing on small details, doing really, really good with small things, knowing that the time of the revolution will come, and you have but you have to find alignment to it.
The only way to do that right now is to recognize, ah, there's a revolutionary impulse, but I have to pay attention to doing small things in the best way I can. If I focus on that, then, paradoxically, it will lead to this big thing happening.
A lot of athletes talk about this. A lot of athletes talk about, if you focus on just fine tuning the basic things that then, you know, doing the basic things over and over and over again leads to a it's like a cascade effect, and suddenly you're, you're an All Pro.
You know, you've gone from like, average player in a professional sports league to one of the best. But it's only because you actually focused on the smallest, simplest things, and getting really, really, good at those paradoxically leads to this huge amount of success, this spectacular play.
Get good at the small things. Bide your time. Be careful of the impatience of a revolutionary impulse or moment that's at hand right now, because following it too rashly, too quickly impatiently will lead to disaster and long term problems.
So that's, that's really good advice. Okay, the changing hexagram, when the lines change, leads to 15, which is modesty. Modesty means draining out things that are excessive and almost like, you know, it'd be like a boxer getting down to fighting weight.
There's, uh, I'm using sports analogies. Let me use something different. So in when there's a revolutionary impulse, there's often a great spirit of charisma and excitement and enthusiasm and big visions and the sense of there being some very different reality that wants to come through.
It's not about killing the joy or excitement of that moment, but it's also about shedding like excessiveness around the moment that can lead you in the wrong direction. You know, it's kind of like you get overly excited in a revolutionary moment.
And this is sort of telling you, keep the revolutionary intention, but kick the over excitement, because it's going to jack you up. It's actually going to lead you astray. You're too excited. Call like, chill it out.
And if you chill it out, the revolutionary impulse doesn't leave. It doesn't vanish. It gets directed and aligned. Very fascinating. And I think the reason that this is coming up is because we have so much water in the sky, so much emotion, so much charisma at the time of a major revolutionary moment.
Could make us, you know, if we don't work to kind of control and channel those emotions, it could push us into premature activity, trying to get too big, too fast, etc.
Now, the line that was changing, in particular in this hexagram was number 4/4, line, there is no blame that which should have come to pass was missed. Forward movement will surely encounter adversity. Do not unduly delay. Do not engage in prolonged undertakings.
So this line is really talking about how time is of the essence. Time is of the essence for matters in progress. Get them to completion as quickly and expediently as you can. Don't delay. Do not procrastinate. So on the one hand, if something is if you're trying to finish something, but you're getting stuck, this line often says, wrap it up, like conclude it, finish it.
The revolution might be rather than letting yourself get stagnant or letting yourself get stuck like bringing something to completion or closure in a resolute, determined, quick way, but that's an instruction for things that are in progress, that you've been dilly dallying with, that you've been struggling.
Thing to bring to conclusion, if you need to break up with someone, and you've been knowing you need to do it, and you've already decided you're going to do it, but you've been dragging your feet, this is sort of like saying you're going to make the whole thing worse if you don't just do it.
So there's something interesting about this line, in particular, within the overall wisdom of the hexagram, which has to do with right alignment within a revolutionary moment, and sort of like being small, not big, within a revolutionary moment, as the way to become aligned with it.
And this line in particular seems to be saying, on the one hand, if you're in the midst of some revolution in your life, in this moment, and you're dragging your feet like, zip that shit up, get it done. But on the other hand, the second part of this line says this, something that should have come to pass, is being diverted because of an interference from human will.
So this line talks specifically about Miss missing divine timing, missing it because you're dragging your feet, or missing divine timing because you become excessively willful. But in either case, the overall message of the hexagram, as well as the changing hexagram, which is modesty, has to do with aligning yourself in a revolutionary moment by sort of draining the drama around it and focusing on small things, which almost seems like like it's counterintuitive, because again, you would think, well, if I focus on small things, I'm not going to create this big, revolutionary thing.
But when you feel the impulse of major changes coming through this, this hexagram in the I Ching is talking about getting yourself correctly aligned with it, and to do that with this, one has to do with not getting too excited, not getting too big, not being too fast, and trusting that the revolution is guiding you, you are not steering it, and that's why this line in particular says that there is a possibility you can miss a moment because you become overly willful.
It's exactly like that guy in his mid 40s, at midlife, who really needs to make a substantive life change and gets a car because he's being too willful because he's not listening to what the soul actually needs for that change to become real.
So five things to watch for given this reading from the I Ching. First of all, just note that with the sun creating the Grand Water Trine, there's a strong force or collection of feelings and forces that is coming through with the desire to break the mold and to change things creatively.
But the point is not to let those feelings get so big and so overwhelmed that we become impulsive or that we lose our modesty or our humility. We want to be a channel for these things, not the dictator of them. That's a very important little lesson here.
Number two, release, Moksha and liberation. If it's, if you've been dragging your feet, it's time to let something go, or it's time to finish something up. Don't, don't, Dally, don't, don't. Dilly dally. And this, this moment is about liberation, and it's about creating a new paradigm, or it's a revolutionary moment that wants to create greater freedom, Moksha and liberation, but we have to follow its intelligence, rather than forcing it so trust that the release, the moksha, the liberation, comes when you either wrap something up and don't drag your feet or allow it to happen in its own time, in its own way, lying low, going downward.
When you feel that revolutionary impulse, there's no better time to just clean out your closet, to just do the simple things in front of you the best you can the force of that revolution will have its own way of interjecting within the flow of normal daily events, how it's going to happen.
Don't try to force it lay low, go downward. Do the small things focus on this day, this task, this present moment, one after another and the revolution will birth you rather than you trying to birth. It a temptation of force.
In order to create change, we might mistakenly think I have to actively oppose someone or something. I have to win. I have to overthrow, I have to conquer. I have to dominate. I have to force. I have to push. All of these may be temptations right now to be very careful of.
And then finally, if I think to myself, there is only the divine timing of this there is only it is inevitable that release, that moksha, that this collection of feelings and forces and liberation or freedom or revolution will occur because of the gathering of this energy or this momentum, if we trust.
That then we can get out of the way of it. And the evidence that we're trusting it and getting out of the way is the modesty, the patience, the humility, the curiosity, the way that we hold excitement. We don't have to banish it and become, you know, artificial Stoics, but we have to hold it in the right way.
Okay, well, that's what I have for you guys today, some ways of thinking about this gathering tide of water coming at a super Uranian moment in the next week. I hope that this has been a useful way of preparing yourself psychically for what's to come.
I want to tell everybody after I sign off the information about the year one course we start this weekend. Come study with us. Come learn astrology, deepen your connection to this language. Can't wait to see all of you who have already signed up there. It's going to be a great journey that we take together. I really can't wait.
Also want to remind you that the annual Kickstarter campaign launches on Monday. So starting next Monday, I will be banging the drum for the last days of 2025 to rally the support of just over 2000 backers for our goal this year.
Our goal is always to just kind of grow our support year by year. We got 2040 some backers last year, so we'll be just trying to outdo that this year. There's a ton of rewards and really cool things you can get when you donate and support the channel.
I'll be telling you all about those next week, and to round out the year here, I'll be doing a bunch of live streams and giving chart readings and really trying to rally support for the channel and all that we do at Nightlight.
So thanks in advance. I can't wait to tell you more about that on Monday. Hope you have a great weekend. We'll see you again soon. Bye.
