What does it mean when the planet of relationship, harmony, and value takes up residence in her own sign?
Venus enters Libra on August 5, 2026, beginning an unusually long stay that stretches through December—one marked by benefic connections, a retrograde, and a return that may reshape something important in your life. This is not merely a pleasant transit.
It is an invitation to examine where you have been out of balance and where genuine harmony might now be restored. Venus moves through Libra with a series of significant aspects: an opposition to Neptune that asks about boundaries, a sextile to Jupiter that brings momentum and blessing, and an opposition to Saturn that may require difficult conversations. Then she dips into Scorpio, stations retrograde, and eventually returns to Libra—suggesting that something begun now will be revisited, deepened, and perhaps remade.
Whether you are considering a relationship, a creative project, or simply how you hold yourself in the world, this transit offers a sustained period for working with the questions of love, fairness, and beauty.

Hey everyone. This is Adam Elenbaas from Nightlight Astrology [https://nightlightastrology.com/].
Today we're going to take a look at Venus's upcoming stay in the sign of Libra. This is one of Venus's better sign positions for 2026. There are a number of interesting twists and turns that Venus will take while going through Libra.
We'll outline those, and I'll give you some very brief horoscopic reminders of what Venus might be bringing through the whole sign house in your birth chart seems to be like mini horoscopes. Hopefully, all of that information will be useful.
I think noting, in addition to our eclipses and our Pluto squares and all of this, I think it's good to take a moment and recognize, hey, we've got a nice Venus is in good dignity for this period of time. Let's take a look at it and see what might happen specifically during certain aspect periods within Venus's day.
So I figure that would be kind of uplifting to do today and this week. I've been trying to focus, you know, on bringing some uplifting content after one of the busiest periods of 2026. You know, it has been taking place recently. So anyway, that's our agenda for the day.
Before we get into it, remember to like and subscribe. It's free to subscribe. It takes two seconds. It helps us tremendously to sustain what we do, to grow what we do. We appreciate and rely on people who listen to subscribe.
You can find transcripts of any of these daily talks on the website every day on Nightlight astrology.com. A couple of promotions as always, and today it is our retreat, the Oracle within. This is a retreat that is meant to help us deepen our relationship to the intelligence behind astrology, which ancients believed was kind of oracular intelligence, a spiritual intelligence that speaks through the language of astrology.
It also speaks through tarot. It speaks through dreams. It speaks through so many things, and so this retreat is really about deepening that aspect of our relationship with astrology, which makes it perfect for absolutely anyone, whether you're just like a hobby kind of beginner or an intermediate.
We had people of all levels at the retreat. It's not a deep technical kind of retreat, but it is a deep experiential immersion. That's what I want to call it—a pilgrimage, really. Anyway, you can check it out here. It's August 7 to 12th next year, 2027.
Registration is now open. Early bird rates are open. Everything about the program is here. As a little documentary video we made about this year's retreat in Mexico, so you can check that out as well. So take a look. I hope to see some of you there.
I am really, really excited. I've told you guys this a number of times, but I really do think this is probably the most special class event that I've ever taught. It was very powerful and really changed lives, including my own and my own kids who were there too.
So it's a real, it's a real intimate group experience, and so I think you'll enjoy it if you check it out. Go over to the Nightlight website for a couple of other things. Obviously, my book is on sale. Go to shop page my book, The Oracle Speaks, my new book, which came out in May.
So it's still a little baby in terms of it being out in the world. And I've enjoyed and appreciated all of your comments, reflections, and your reviews on Amazon. It really does help to leave a good review there. We appreciate it, and the audible version will be coming out soon.
So if you've been waiting for that, your wait will be over shortly. Finally, you can also go to the events page, click on Community Quiet. Every day we have free meditation. So if you would like to join us for daily meditation, the schedule is there.
The link to join every day on Zoom is there. It's a really nice community and just a free offering to help make this community on the channel a little bit more spiritually focused and intentional. Anyhow, on that note, let us turn our attention to Nightlight Astrology. You guys know this is our official astrology software. I'm an affiliate.
You can get a 20% off discount perpetually when you sign up using that link in the comment section or the description of the video, so check that out. What? So here we are, Wednesday, August 5, and it is tomorrow. By tomorrow afternoon, Venus will have entered Libra.
Now, what I want to do is outline for you the basic journey that Venus is going to go through, in addition to being in one of her own domiciles, which typically makes Venusian things stronger. And if Venus represents harmony, good fortune, friendship, and this is kind of nice, eloquent, flowing sensibility to Libra, well, then I think we can look at this as a pretty positive transit for Venus.
There are some really interesting mile markers along the way, and you can jot these down if you want to. We'll probably visit some of them on the channel. Some of them we won't, but let's just take Venus through Libra. And first of all, let's just say we're August 5, and we're going to fast forward this all the way until Venus enters Scorpio, which is where her retrograde is coming, by the way.
And she doesn't enter Scorpio until about September 9, because Venus's speed is slowing down. This gives Venus an extra long stay in a good sign. Not to mention that she's going to come back through this sign in retrograde later in October. So if I take this forward just a little bit, you're going to see that Venus enters Scorpio.
And by early October, Venus is going to station and turn retrograde. That retrogradation happens right here. It's about Friday, October 2nd, then the third, and now Venus is retrograde. Now, as Venus is retrograde, Mercury will also turn retrograde in Scorpio, so we get a real deep dive there into Scorpio, and then Venus's Cazimi happens at zero Scorpio, pretty powerful, kind of a deep reboot there.
And then she goes retrograde into Libra, in between October 25, all the way up to her second station, where she turns direct. That will take place here about November 15, and then going forward again at slow speed, she gets out of Libra entirely by about December 4. This means between August and December we have quite a bit of time that we're going to be spending with Venus in Libra, with some interesting interlude with Venus in Scorpio.
But I think what's especially fascinating is that Venus is setting the table for some things that are going to happen that will have a natural evolution to them during the retrograde. So because of that, I felt like let's take a look, let's do some mini horoscopes, let's get ourselves set up for what's to come.
Now, what I want to highlight here are some of the aspects that are happening between now and the end of Venus's stay, so we're going to take it forward one day at a time and notice that right away Venus will go through an opposition with Neptune around Monday, August 10th. I'm sure we'll be looking at that one on the channel next week, and then we go forward just a little bit.
We have this nice little sextile with Mercury, and actually I should be. Let me use my epic pen and draw. Okay, so you'll notice that there's the opposition to Neptune. Then right away we have a little sextile to Mercury. These are two very powerful aspects in Venus's journey, I think Venus Neptune oppositions, you know, Libra to Aries probably asks us some questions about independence versus dependence in relationships.
There's a give and take to every relationship. There's the need to balance needs and interests and power and responsibility, and Venus opposite Neptune might be asking questions about boundaries when it comes to these things. The ability to harmonize and have heart-centered conversations around this, I think, gets really strong when Mercury and Venus come together in a sextile just afterward.
So within three degrees of Neptune separating Venus separating from Neptune, Mercury and Venus get together. There's something being worked out or harmonized there that seems pretty positive overall. Now the next aspect that's going to come through is right here. Now we're going to see a little sextile between Venus and Jupiter. So the benefics are getting together. This is August 17, so some really interesting Venus aspects to come.
Now that sextile brings the benefics together and is usually very constructive and harmonious, and often brings a feeling of momentum, consensus, meaningful exchange, positive value, and like beneficial contact with other people, help and blessings that appear. There can, of course, always be the potential to sort of inflate things or get grandiose or sort of, you know, you can deal with the shadows of vanity or you know elitism stuff like that that could come up.
But I like their sextile. Let's take this forward a little bit more, and we'll see another couple of interesting points for Venus as she goes through Libra. Venus will oppose Saturn. I think this is probably one of the more difficult Venus transits of the stay in Libra. So we have the opposition to Saturn.
That's around Friday, August 21. That opposition will be a little bit more about confronting hard limits and harder or more difficult conversations happening in relationships and social situations, but if we keep going forward from there, oh, and you know that I missed actually I missed early on, and I'm so sorry I can't believe I missed it.
When we initially when Venus goes through the opposition to Neptune, there will also be a very brief trine to Uranus, of course, and that trine to Uranus, along with the little sextile, kind of recreates it. Almost like kind of recreates the basket configuration a little bit. So that's interesting. Anyway, let's keep going.
So we were at the opposition to Saturn. I can't believe I spaced on that note. I'm sorry, guys. All right, so we keep going from here, and Venus will continue on, and then we have this lunar eclipse in the sign of Pisces. That means that we have the benefics as the host of the eclipse, and both are pretty well situated.
You have Jupiter as the morning star appearing in Leo, and you have Mercury configured by a whole sign sextile as the co-ruler of the eclipse. That lunar eclipse is in the sign of Pisces, which is the domicile of Jupiter and the exaltation of Venus, and the benefics are in pretty good condition. So I wouldn't think that that lunar eclipse would be super harsh, considering the good placement of its hosts.
One thing to note, though, is that it is in an aversion to both of them. There might be something that the Pisces moon is trying to connect to Venus and Jupiter that's just a little difficult to connect. Let's keep going. So we take Venus along, and from that point, the only other major transit that's going to occur is going to be the connection with the nodes of the Moon, which happens around September 8th.
As soon as that's over, then we're in Scorpio territory, square to Pluto, retrograde incoming, and when we come back into Libra, let's go forward a little bit after the intensity of the Venus retrograde in Scorpio, we're going to see that Venus comes back into the Cazimi with the Sun right around Friday, October 23rd.
Dances backward into Libra, and as soon as that happens, it catches the full moon in an aspect. So the full moon makes an aspect opposition to Venus right as it's becoming full, and now Venus is retrograde, starting to appear as a morning star in Libra. It feels to me like something has been renegotiated, and maybe a new person, new relationship, new social situation has been worked out after maybe looking deeply beneath the surface and doing some transformative healing work within relationships.
Now that new something is ready to come forth. Now as Venus retrogrades, what's interesting is that in the retrograde, there's going to be another moment here where Venus in her retrograde catches Jupiter again, so the Venus Jupiter dynamic comes back, and those were the rulers of that lunar eclipse. And so, where they weren't able to work something out initially, what I find really interesting is that when they get back together, if you actually take this back.
Watch this. This is kind of neat. I was looking at this and just going like, "Wow! If you take this back just a little bit, when the benefics meet again after the eclipse that they were rulers of, notice that the moon is translating the light almost immediately.
The moon is now sandwiched in a benefic enclosure, very temporarily, if you even want to put it that way, you know, the moon basically is going through this little configuration with Jupiter and Venus right as they come together in early November. To me, this really gives me confidence that something that maybe wasn't working and maybe sort of falls apart a little bit is being rebuilt or reconstructed.
That's kind of the image that comes to my mind. Now, if we take Venus back a little bit, she's also going to reconnect with Mars, and that reconnection with Mars takes place. The reconnection with Mars since their square that they had in late July, so here's their sextile coming through now. That's about November 10.
I like harmonizing between Mars and Venus. That feels good, and then through Venus's direct motion, after she turns direct, she goes back one last time through one final sextile to Jupiter, and that takes place by the end of November. So you can see how between now and November, there's a lot happening for Venus, and a lot of really interesting connections with benefic Jupiter, rulership over the eclipse, a long stay in Libra.
So I thought it was worth mentioning these things, just kind of mapping them out for you. Hopefully that's useful. What I want to do now is something, you know, even simpler, which is to eliminate. We're going to eliminate everything, but Venus, and we're just going to give you some brief horoscopic reminders of the houses that we have Venus present in in our birth charts, and I guess what I'll do is I'll just fast forward this to Venus's entrance into Libra, and let's put this through all of the houses, and we'll just give you brief like look for the look for both a process of working and reworking harmony in relationships, or harmony in social dynamics, harmony around love, grace, beauty, the arts, women, friends, a making and a remaking of the right kind of balance or peace, and let's take it through the houses and imagine what.
Might look like if you're an Aries Sun or Rising, this would be the seventh house, quintessential love and relationships, bliss, sexuality, and the joy or happiness that we ideally experience in love. That's very straightforward. Now, if you're not in a relationship, that doesn't necessarily mean that relationships still can't be an important part of what you're looking at.
If you're not in a relationship, it might mean that you're getting into one revisions taking place within an existing relationship. Or another possibility would be that your social life in general, interpersonal relationships in general, are coming to a head somehow, like even close friends or something like that. I find that the house can be a bit more broadly social than people sometimes think.
Anyway, if you're a Taurus, this is in the sixth house. If you employ people or if people work for you, the people that you hire or employ in any kind of work or job, but also the upkeep of health and the everyday maintenance and work of your life, and also the care for what you are in service to, and real like harmony and blessings kind of coming through this sphere.
It probably rewards hard work, and you feel good if you're taking care of yourself, or you find ways to feel better if you've been feeling down. You find good people to work with, you find good projects to give time and energy to, and there's good results. These are the kinds of fortunate things I would expect with Venus in the sixth for Tauruses.
If you're a Gemini, it's in the fifth house, so it rewards the creative act, the creative impulse, joy, pleasure, happiness, children, pregnancy. This house is about what it means to feel joyful and fulfilled and happy with who you are, but not just with who you are, but what you do with who you are creatively, and so much of this house boils down to: Are you enjoying your life?
Does it feel fulfilling? Not 24/7, but like in general, when you stand back and look at your life, do you go, Yeah, I feel like I'm making something out of my life creatively that I enjoy. What is Venus bringing in there? What blessings does she provide right now? For Cancer Sun or rising, it's in the fourth house, so it's bringing that harmony, peace, ease, balance, flow, or restoration of such things, or healing energy.
You could even say into the spaces of home and family, living environment, property, it's connected to the specific karma that you have with family members, extended or like your own family or extended family members, and it also has to do with the private internal sphere. Like, do you feel like you have a happy, safe, peaceful space within? Let's go forward to Leo's.
It's in the third house, communication. This house has to do with the subjective mind and emotions and psychology of the individual. Leo here is maybe thinking about restoration of, like, what do I want to say? Restoration of friendships or relationships that need some kind of balancing or smoothing over, where one ego and another need to communicate and understand each other better.
The topic of siblings and peaceful relationship with siblings could come up. Anything that you're writing or developing as an artistic skill or medium could be flourishing, and any change of mind, or if you're figuring out how to have a more peaceful existence in your own mind and your own kind of subjective orientation to life, different perception might come in, and things that you're interested in that your mind finds beautiful.
These are the things that I see for Leos. Now, if you're a Virgo rising, this is in your second house. So we're looking at blessings and potential benefits that are coming in through the space of money, finances, resources. Venus can provide things that are enjoyable and pleasant, good fortune, blessings, positive connections in business or money, and can also provide just a sense of, you know, a taste and style.
Like I'm buying some nice clothing, or I'm going out for nice meals. Venus here brings the blessings of fortune into the material world, whether that means enjoying them or acquiring more things or changing your values around material things somehow, there's a journey here that Venus represents. So if you're a Libra, this has to do with your own sense of identity. Are you happy when you look in the mirror?
Not everyone is, you know, all of the time, but you should like what you see. You should be. You should love yourself, right? I mean, everyone ideally should have a positive relationship, a positive self-image, positive body image. How do you develop that if you don't have it? That might be a subject for right now.
Also, you know, when Venus is in the first, we're almost a little bit more charming or graceful, or just a little bit more attractive to other people. You could also find that relationships are really the questions about which relationships are the most important or valuable ones to you personally could be very much on your mind.
The extent to which you are identified with relationships that could also come up. And in general, I think physical well-being, health, vitality as concerns and topics of interest for this transit are likely. All right, so Scorpio. Now we're in the 12th house, and we're looking at the hidden, unseen, unconscious dimensions of life, and the potential for those dimensions to be sources of suffering that we need to be liberated from, so what are the hidden or secretive dimensions of relationships?
Where is more diplomacy or tact needed so that your relationships are healthy and vibrant? What are the shadows or unconscious places around love, sex, friendships? What role does do things like healthy boundaries or lack of boundaries play in your life with when it comes to other people, and I would also say that Venus in the 12th house can provide almost an otherworldly and secretive or hidden dimension to Venus.
It's that you know it's like you know, painting naked in your basement or something. It feels to me like it feels like Venus in the 12th. Like I actually the reason that comes to my mind is I had a long time client who lived pretty much on her own and just loved to paint and was really reclusive, and she had Venus in Libra in the 12th.
Anyway, so maybe a little bit of artistic retreat is coming. Well, we go to Sagittarius. We get Venus in the 11th house. We're talking about friends and social circles, social groups. That'll be the focus here. The blessings of those spaces, the peace, and mutual interest and shared resources that can come through people, groups, communities, friends, colleagues.
We're talking about some work that'll be done in this area, but a lot of good energy that Venus is bringing to that space of community and your social life, and the greater culture and ideas that bind you to other people, the greater visions and dreams that you have for yourself out in the world, and how you connect to other people through them.
If you're a Capricorn, you've got some good career house energy from Venus, right? Bringing potential blessings and benefits into the space of work, career, vocation, public image or reputation. I love this for things growing in a good direction or just positive workplace relationships, collaborations that are positive, blessings from other people, admiration or attraction to your work or your abilities.
I think this one can be really fortunate. Be careful of caring too much about what other people think of you. Now, with Aquarius, we're talking about the ninth house, the place of philosophy, religion, the pursuit of truth, teachers, and so one thing that might be coming up right now is questions about justice and fairness and the law and reciprocity and balance as an ethical, moral, or philosophical dimension of things.
You might be thinking a lot about what is fair, what is just? What is really beautiful? What is truth and what is beauty? Sexual questions about sexuality and philosophy and spirituality could be coming up. An interest in the arts as a pursuit of divine wisdom, the goddess and all of her knowledge.
These are the things that come to my mind for Venus there, bringing I think some real benefits into that space for you Aquarians, and then finally we have Pisces placing Venus into the eighth, where the positive potential here is for really meaningful exchanges of assets and resources, and the give and take of relationships to be reciprocal and fair and balanced.
And the shadow would be if they aren't, how is that being dealt with? Are people using one another? Are people being taken advantage of? Are there bonds that have been useful, but maybe they come with there's too high of a cost associated? So maybe a little bit of work in that sphere, but otherwise, I think the potential for meaningful exchange of values and resources, and a meaningful exchange of blessings or benefits for people, and also good luck when it comes to eliminating attachments that are unhealthy.
There's just when Venus comes into that house, sometimes it's like I notice people paying off their credit card, paying off an old tax debt, or something like that. Well, they're kind of quick and brief, but I hope they're useful, and it'll be interesting to track this out right away with the Venus Neptune opposition, this little trine to Uranus, the opposition to Saturn, so many sextiles with Jupiter, the retrograde that brings it back.
What an interesting Venus in Libra transit we have ahead of us. That's it for today. I hope you're having a good. We'll see you again next time. Bye.
