Hey everyone! This is Adam Elenbaas from Nightlight Astrology. Happy Monday! Today, we’re taking a look at the major astrological events of the week ahead. We have some big transits coming up, both today as the week begins and as the week unfolds.
To kick things off, we’ll be looking at Mercury’s opposition to Jupiter and the Sun’s trine to Neptune. These are key transits happening early in the week. Also, tomorrow, Pluto enters Aquarius again to stay, which is a huge shift we’ll be talking about more in upcoming videos. I’m also hosting a webinar Thursday night, where we’ll dive deeper into Pluto’s entrance into Aquarius. I’ll share more details about how to join that later.
Other significant events this week include the Sun’s move into Sagittarius, a Sun-Pluto sextile, and a Venus-Saturn sextile with an interesting form of mutual reception. By the end of the week, Mercury will begin slowing down to a halt, and by next week, it will officially turn retrograde. So, we also have Mercury stationing this week.
Our goal today is to unpack these transits for you and give you a preview of what’s to come over the next few days. But before we dive into all that, I’d like to remind you to like and subscribe if you haven’t already. We’re aiming to hit 80,000 subscribers by the spring equinox, and your support has been amazing—helping us almost double our monthly average of new subscribers over the past couple of months. A big thank you for that! Subscribing is free, and it really helps us grow the channel and our business.
You can find transcripts of all our daily talks on the website at NightlightAstrology.com. I’m also excited to announce that we’ve launched our 11th Annual Kickstarter campaign, which will run through the end of the year. If you’re new to the channel, I’ll explain what the Kickstarter is all about and the kinds of rewards you can get when you donate to support the channel. We have a lot of cool things available this year, and I’ll be talking about it more in the days to come.
Last year, we had 936 backers, and our goal for this year is to gain at least one more backer than we did last year. Every year, we’ve seen more support, and we’re hoping to keep that momentum going. The funds raised through Kickstarter go directly into supporting the development of our content. This is how I make my living and how we support the various projects at Nightlight, including our staff, our donation-based Reading Clinic, and our sliding scale programs.
A big part of Nightlight’s business model is creating content year-round and asking for your support at the end of the year. In exchange for your donations, we offer some great rewards, including big discounts on our online courses. We’re offering up to 50% off our entire catalog of classes, including Year 1, Year 2, Year 3, our Horary class, Master Class series, Roots and Spheres program, and more. You can also purchase bundles to save even more.
Other exclusive rewards include an Astrology of 2025 talk I’ve recorded, where I break down all the major astrological transits for the year ahead. Plus, you can get a horoscope for all 12 signs, covering the entire year of 2025. These horoscopes are only available through the Kickstarter and come bundled together, so you’ll get all 12 signs in one package. We’re also offering personalized readings, including Horary and Birth Chart readings, as well as a 2025 astrology calendar to help you track the transits all year long.
If you're new to the channel, you may not know that creating content for Nightlight is my daily sadhana, or spiritual practice. This has been my routine for over 11 years, and it’s a labor of love. Each day, I devote time to physical exercise, meditation, reading, and outlining my content before sitting down to produce it. After that, my team helps with editing and distribution across all our platforms. It’s a process that takes 3-4 hours every day, five days a week, and I pour my heart and soul into it.
At the end of every year, I ask those who appreciate this content and can afford to donate to support the channel. We know not everyone can, and that’s completely fine! Your good vibes, prayers, and support are also deeply appreciated. For those who can donate, we make sure to offer meaningful rewards in exchange for your generosity. We aim to reach 1,937 backers by January 1st, and between now and then, I’ll be hosting live streams to rally support for the campaign.
You can find the Kickstarter link on our website at NightlightAstrology.com under the "Live Events" tab or in the comments and video description below. Thank you so much to everyone who has made Nightlight a success, and we are grateful for your ongoing support!
Now, let’s shift our focus to the astrology of the week ahead.
Okay, let’s give this another go. So, we’ve got Mercury opposite Jupiter today, which is an interesting aspect, especially because Mercury and Jupiter are in each other’s signs. This creates a form of mutual reception by detriment, which suggests that despite the opposition, there’s potential for growth or resolution—whether it's intellectual, ideological, philosophical, organizational, or communicative. Even though Mercury opposite Jupiter can signal a clash of ideas—where one person believes something that another finds offensive, or they simply disagree—there’s still a way for both sides to benefit. In other words, despite these opposing viewpoints, there’s potential for cooperation or at least understanding.
This transit also highlights the way we communicate and how messages are received. Mercury opposite Jupiter can show that what I think I’m saying might be heard in a completely different way. It’s also a time when we might need to revise or rethink our ideas and beliefs. So, it’s a great opportunity for reflection and a mental reassessment: What do I really believe? What do I think? How does it all fit together?
Keep in mind, this Mercury-Jupiter opposition will return during Mercury’s retrograde soon, and Jupiter is also retrograding into a square with Saturn. Mercury's retrograde will bring it back into the conversation with Saturn as well, which all points to an important time of mental, intellectual, and ideological restructuring. We’ve already discussed this at length in last week’s video on Mercury opposite Jupiter, which is perfecting today, so if you’re interested in a deeper dive, I recommend going back to that. I also recently did a video called "Two Things Can Be True," which would be another great resource for exploring Mercury opposite Jupiter.
The other major transit today is the Sun's trine to Neptune, which is perfecting today and lasting into tomorrow, November 18. When the Sun trines Neptune, there’s a harmonious blending of our ambitions and higher ideals with the mystical, spiritual realm. The Sun represents our deepest desires, goals, and aspirations, and Neptune brings a sense of something greater, something transcendental. It can make us feel like our efforts are part of something bigger than ourselves, or that we are serving a collective good rather than acting out of personal ambition. This aspect can also foster moments of leadership and self-sacrifice for a cause greater than the self.
On a more practical level, this trine can heighten our sensitivity to emotional and spiritual dimensions, inviting us to dream, imagine, and tune into more subtle energies. It can also indicate a thinning of the veil, where we become more aware of the intangible, otherworldly realms, allowing for mystical experiences or deep intuitive insights.
So, that’s Mercury opposite Jupiter and the Sun trine Neptune, which are setting the tone for this week. But the big news tomorrow, of course, is Pluto entering Aquarius for the final time. I’ll be diving into that in my Thursday night webinar, where I’ll explore the historical and mythological significance of Pluto in Aquarius, including how it relates to the French and American revolutions and what we might expect over the next 20 years. If you're interested in that, you can check out the event on my website under the "Live Events" tab.
The key thing to understand about Pluto’s entrance into Aquarius is that this marks a permanent shift. We’ve seen temporary flirtations with Pluto in Aquarius before, but this is the real deal. It’s like the difference between an orientation day at school and the actual start of the semester. Tomorrow marks the true beginning of Pluto in Aquarius, and we’ll be exploring that through the myth of Ganymede and some collective themes surrounding this long-term transit. This new chapter in Aquarius will bring us into uncharted waters, with a focus on collective power, technology, and intellectual reform.
As we move through this week, keep an eye out for the shift into Sagittarius as the Sun enters that sign on November 21. Typically, Sun ingresses don’t get much attention, but this one is significant because it coincides with the build-up of a T-square between Mercury, Saturn, and Jupiter, which will be exact in early December. This is going to bring the focus to belief systems, ideologies, and the structures they shape—whether personal or collective. We’ll see debates over differing convictions, especially around December 7, when the Sun opposes Jupiter, and Mars goes retrograde in its own sign. This will also occur as Jupiter and Saturn are in a tense square, creating an atmosphere of ideological conflict and potential restructuring.
On November 21, the Sun will also sextile Pluto in Aquarius, a subtle but potent connection that will shed light on the deeper structural shifts Pluto is triggering. This is a moment to look for clarity about what we want and how our hopes and ideals may evolve in the face of larger collective changes.
By November 22, Venus will sextile Saturn, bringing a cooperative energy between these two planets. Venus in Capricorn and Saturn in Pisces form a mutual reception, suggesting a time when beauty and structure work together. This is a transit that favors maturity, refinement, and grounded aesthetics—whether in art, relationships, or work. It’s a great time for building something lasting, whether it's a physical object, an emotional connection, or a sense of stability in your life.
Finally, as we close out the week, Mercury will slow down in preparation for its retrograde station on November 25. By Sunday, Mercury will barely be moving, and you'll likely start feeling the effects of the retrograde. This stationing period often triggers the beginning of delays, shifts, or breakdowns, as we revisit or rethink past ideas and conversations. With Mercury opposite Jupiter and in mutual reception with Jupiter, this retrograde is all about reworking ideological or intellectual frameworks, figuring out how differing beliefs can lead to structural changes in our lives.
That’s all for today. Before we go, I just want to express my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported this channel over the years. Your support has made all of this possible. As we head into the final stretch of the year, our goal is to reach 19,137 backers by January 1. Any and every contribution helps, and it’s a huge part of how I can continue to create content, support my family, and provide for my team. If you appreciate the work we do, I’d be so grateful for your support. You can find the Kickstarter link in the video description or on the Nightlight Astrology website.
Thanks again for being such a wonderful community. Take care, and I’ll see you next time!
