Hi everyone, this is Acyuta-bhava from Nightlight Astrology, Happy Friday to everyone out there. Today we are going to refresh on the transits that are currently perfecting in the sky right now and those that are coming in the days and week ahead. There is a lot of intense astrology in the sky right now, so I think it's a good idea, even though I've covered some of these transits in a few videos this month already to sort of refresh on them in real time. So that's what we're going to do today. I've also got two more interesting election charts to show you. Some people in the last video that I made wondered if we might not cast a horary chart, if one could cast a horary chart, in order to look at individual states within the electorate, which I've actually done in the past. During primaries, I've done that, when candidates within one party are competing in individual states during the primary phase. But I never thought to do it during the general election, which is kind of weird that I would never even think of that. So, taking the advice of a few people who put this idea into the comment section, I cast two charts earlier in the week, one for what the state of Pennsylvania would be and the other one for Michigan. And I'm just going to show you how I judge those charts and what appears to be the results of those charts right now. So that I think that's kind of a just a fun exercise in horary, and horary education. And I'm also going to tell you about a book that you can read if you want to learn more about horary, if you're like, this is really interesting. Maybe you don't have the time or money or energy to take my horary class, which doesn't start until next June anyway. But in that case, I can point you towards a really good textbook. And I'm going to do that towards the end of today's talk as well.

First of all, and I've been practising in Hellenistic mode. A lot of people ask me why the outer planets aren't involved in chart analysis. That's because I practice similar to Indian astrology, vedic astrology, I practice with the traditional seven planets, the nodes of the moon, a lot of fortune, a lot of spirit, I don't use the outer planets, generally speaking, when analysing a chart. I have a very special use for them in my practice every day. And I use them as you guys know, in mundane forecasting on my YouTube channel, and stuff like that. And I use them in transit tracking my practice. But when I'm looking at a chart, usually, from a more Hellenistic or traditional perspective, I look at it without any of the outer planets, no asteroids, anything like that, for starters, so sometimes you'll see that the outer planets aren't involved in a chart that I'm working on. And that's pretty common for a lot of Hellenistic practitioners these days, by the way, are traditional practitioners that they won't necessarily use the outer planets. So at any rate, you could have a much longer talk about why that is. And I've done that before in lots of my videos. So I'm not going to do that today.
2:57
But let's just take a look at what's perfecting First of all, you're going to notice that Mercury is in the overcoming position with Saturn. And that overcoming position is called the superior square, Mercury station turn direct and then very slowly has moved through the square. How have we seen that in terms of things happening in the collective right now? Well the media spotlight event has been the US election. And in the election, the results have come very, very slowly as razor thin margins have defined a number of sort of battleground states. And you've seen the votes kind of trickle in little by little. A lot of that is due to the way that this election worked because of the Coronavirus and people mailing their ballots in or dropping them off in drop boxes, as well as voting in person. And so you have this weird mishmash of different ways in which people voted this year. And as the counting has taken place, you've also seen what initially looks like one outcome turn in the opposite direction, which is very common for this kind of astrological scenario in an archetypal sense. Mercury stationed, Mercury is in a square with Saturn but Mercury is slowly overcoming Saturn. So a limitation a blockage, a constraint, time pressure. You know, a lot of there's like protests going on outside of some of the places where people are counting votes and so forth. And, and so there's this kind of perfect pressure cooker of energy and a very slow moving Mercury that then finally overcomes Saturn. And as I mentioned earlier, with Mercury in the balance, you get this idea of eventually the fair outcome is decided the votes are tallied, and so forth. And if there's the feeling of constraint or limitation in your own life right now and you're starting to see this kind of turnaround, there you go. That's, that's a big reason why. You're going to see this over the next two days continue.
5:06
Now, that doesn't necessarily mean that we're free of some major conflicts on the horizon, though, because what you're also seeing is Venus moving into the opposition with Mars. So, for example, in the US, I'm using the US election because it's low hanging fruit. Sorry, if you guys are tired of hearing about it already. But the point here is that watch what's going to happen. Venus is going to go through the opposition to Mars between now and Monday. And then you get to about Tuesday of next week, and Venus is just overcoming the opposition to Mars. And at the same time that that is happening, we have this very cathartic moment with Jupiter conjoining, Pluto. And then right after that, you're going to see Venus then go through the squares and overcome Jupiter overcome Pluto, overcome Saturn. And Venus in the balance, again, would suggest fairness. So my sense of that in terms of, for example, the US election here, we'll do that first, and then I'll sort of draw parallels to how we might notice it in our own lives, is that you're going to see a peaceful transition eventually. But Venus has to sort of go through all of this first. And I say peaceful transition, because that's Venus, Venus in the balance. That'll happen eventually. But there's some real hostile energies that Venus has to cross through along the way before that transition is more or less final. And it's also going to coincide for example, with a couple of other events like you see, Venus finally moving through the overcoming position to Pluto at just about the same time that the new Moon is coming through in Scorpio. So here's Venus just about to get into this whole lineup of squares and Capricorn, which she will overcome. And then you have the new Moon in Scorpio, and Mars is finally turning direct. So the Mars energy around the next new Moon cycle signals a very big turn of momentum.
7:27
Mars retrograde sometimes feels frustrating, I want to do something I'm exerting my will or my force in a particular direction, but it's not working or there's major delays, I don't feel as strong or I feel even a little rundown or even just sort of just sort of the feeling of being a little bit beat up. And there can be more intense hostility or confrontation or conflict. For example, that Mars is retrograde in my 12th house. During this Mars retrograde my father's had serious health problems. My mom and her partner have COVID right now and are dealing with it. My sister, I think I told you guys these stories already, but my sister who is pregnant in scheduled for an induction accidentally got in an accident, and then went to the ER and they decided right there boom, they were worried about the baby. I believe it had something to do with the placenta. But at any rate, they were like, okay, C section right now, boom. These are all Mars retrograde things as well, just in terms of the dynamic of Mars being retrograde that's in my 12th house right now, which is also very in a very difficult place. In the meantime, back home, we had someone in Maryland where we're selling our house right now it's under contract, thankfully, but that we had someone while it was under contract during Mars retrograde break into our house because it was empty. So some kids like broke in. That's the kind of stuff that depending on where Mars is at in your chart, not everyone's going to feel that intensely right. But depending on your perfection year, which planets are being impacted in your chart, that Mars retrograde can come up with just sort of this hardship after hardship after hardship.
9:20
I want to tell you guys another story, just to illustrate this. Yesterday the Moon in Cancer moving into a square with that Mars retrograde. This was yesterday afternoon. So what was happening yesterday is I decided all the stress that's been going on. I was like, You know what, I need to take a break. I'm going for a walk. So I'm walking, and I'm walking around the lake that's near where I live in the Twin Cities. And I'm walking around the lake and I come around this corner. And it was a really nice day here it is today to in Minneapolis, like unusually warm for November. And there was a couple of women's swimming in the lake with wetsuits on. It's pretty cold. And I was walking by I had my headphones on.
10:32
And they suddenly started screaming, "Call 911 call 911! Oh my god!" and I was like, what I took off my headphones, and I was like, What? And she was like, call 911. So I got on my phone and started calling 911. And I said, "What happened?" And she said, "Look," and she pointed, and just down the trail there was a car of a minivan that had crashed, it had somehow careened off the highway down through the running trail struck a jogger, who is laid out in the trail in front of me maybe like 100 yards ahead of me, she's just laid out on the ground, and the van is has flew into the lake. And she's in her wetsuit just sprinting down the trail. And there's a bunch of people up the trail immediately going to the woman who's on the ground who got hit by this van, and others are like diving into the water and going to extract people who are in this minivan. Turns out there was one guy, an elderly man. And they dragged him out of the van in the water, and set him on the bank. And then there's people attending to this woman by the time I got up there, it happened really quick. The woman in the wetsuit, who is sprinting ahead of me wasn't even able to get there prior to everyone being in the water and like dragging this guy out.
12:00
It was crazy. And get this. The woman is down on the ground. And to me like this was like such saintly behaviour. I was so impressed. She's moving her fingers in her arms and people were like, are you okay? And she was trying to sit up and they were like, No, just lay down. I watched the news later and they said she had non life threatening injuries, which probably means she might have broke something. At any rate, this woman said to her, "Do you want me to take your mask off for you so you can breathe easier?" And the woman said "No, no, I'm I work in the hospital. And, you know, I'm around people who could be you know, who are infected and I don't want to like infect anyone. So don't take my mask off. I'm fine. I can breathe fine."
13:04
It's like wow, you know what amazing teamwork first of all to see you know, everybody like literally rushing into the icy water and it's cold like these two women who are swimming they had wet suits on just to give you idea. Minnesota November, lake waters not warm. So they dove in, you know, immediately like drag this guy out. He's sitting on the bank. And he had had some kind of health episode they said on the news last night, which is what it looked like to me, he didn't look drunk he looked like he had had a stroke or maybe a heart attack or something. Because he looked like peaked and like something was wrong with him. At any rate, he crashed off the trail and hit this runner and so not the walk that I was anticipating like that was not what I was expecting to happen on like an afternoon walk but first of all, it fit really well with the Moon in a water sign square to Mars retrograde. It also fits with Mercury in a square with Saturn. There's an automobile accident for my sister I witness almost an automobile accident. You know, just here around the lake is very Mercury Saturn. Mercury being the car of Saturn being the accident. This one involved a water rescue and a struck you know, someone who is struck while running and the moon squaring Mars.
14:23
That feeling of disaster is sort of in the sky right now. But one of the things that's really promising is that and I'm going to bring up the real time clock again, just to show you guys Isn't that crazy? By the way, like isn't that just nuts? People will be like, why are you seeing so much drama lately? Because I've had I've had a little bit of a share of drama lately. You know, it's been like real intense. That's because all of these transits are configured to the Sun in my birth chart right now. You know anyone's Sun or Moon, the transits are going to hit a lot closer to home or be a lot more personally felt. So I've had that Pluto Jupiter is exactly opposed to the sun in my chart, the Mars retrograde is square to the moon in my chart. So that's why you're looking at that's why you're looking at these events being so much more personal for me right now from an astrological standpoint, it's feeding into the karma of my own chart my own life. And in that's typically how you'll see By the way, these transits becoming more pertinent in your life is if they have a feed into your birth chart in a very clear way, that's usually the easiest way of sort of predicting how intensely personal you'll feel these transits.
15:52
So why do we have this sense of disaster averted? Well, it's because Jupiter is in its fall, but Jupiter is the great benefic. Usually there's a sense of things getting significantly better with Jupiter in general, like when Jupiter hits something, things tend to get a little rosier not a little darker. This is a Jupiter that's in its fall and with Pluto, which means that there can be ominous signs and, and difficult heavy events. There are accidents, there are broken bones involved here. And what I've seen lately, there was a, you know, a scare with my sister. My mom and her partner are both sick with COVID right now, you know, we had someone break into the house, tried to steal my wife's identity, like there's been some crazy things that have happened, but in each one, thankfully, there's been this aura of like, and it ends up being okay. Is there anywhere that you can see that astrologically? And the answer to that is yes, you can see it specifically through Jupiter being in its fall. But as Jupiter turns direct, it's now on a runway to leave the sign of its fall. And it gets when it hits Pluto as it's moving to leave its fall. Usually you start seeing this kind of regenerative, redemptive twists and turns of the plot that become more uplifting. There's a rebirth theme. This is the rebirth end of the Jupiter Pluto kind of year. And as we're seeing this, we're also seeing these two planets in Libra with a very strong Venus overcoming everything Venus and Mercury overcome the obstacles right here. And then we're going to see Mars slowing down and stationing and turning direct. This is the momentum shift that I've been talking about in my videos for like the past three or four weeks. But it's dicey, as you can tell, you're going to hit these obstacles and have to persevere, there's some losses that come with them. There's some stress, you know, you there's the feeling that you kind of have to pay the piper a little bit.
18:00
For example, as all these things have happened in my own personal life, the mantra that I've been repeating to myself is, you know, it could be worse. And there's probably a lot of grace and mercy going on right now. Because I could really see I'm not the judge, I don't know, but I could see deserving worse. You know, and God only knows what, you know what better angels are hovering over me right now. I try to take that attitude as a practice that if things are really good, I think, Wow, that's amazing. I, you know, it may not last, I may not deserve this much, but kind of just to stay humble in terms of the ups and downs. And the downs come like, Oh, they could be worse, some of the ups come like, that's really nice. I probably didn't deserve this. And I should try to be really in integrity about how I respond to the good fortune as well. And not thinking like, Oh, yeah, of course, it's supposed to go well, you know. So, anyway, um, I think that's good advice for all of us right now. Because even though things are looking up, it's still a little hairy. You know what I mean? Like, there's, it's, it's dramatic enough, right now the astrology is where I would not tell anyone to gloat or get on a high horse about, about anything, even if you can feel the momentum starting to shift in the positive for yourself, and you're starting to feel like you're going to overcome or meet the challenges, there's still a number of them to come. And let's just refresh exactly on what we're saying is still to come. Venus still has to oppose Mars. That's not going to be easy. You're talking about the potential for real conflict and hostility around that transit. Mercury's going to overcome Saturn over the course of the next couple of days, and it's still in the process of doing so, and also you're gonna see Jupiter and Pluto conjoin, right? That conjunction is very cathartic. Not all easy. Catharsis, you know, you can get a few hairs blown off. You can, you can, you can develop a few grey hairs with Jupiter Pluto. So it's not like it's regenerative, but it's also purgative. And potentially it can be kind of extreme, then you know, Venus is going to overcome all the planets in Capricorn. So that's still to come. We've got a new Moon coming up in Scorpio with like a new Moon in Scorpio is not messing around. But the good news is, Mars will turn direct right after that new Moon happens. So again, momentum changes. Once the Sun at the end of this month, hits the the lunar eclipse in Gemini and then we start getting that Sun into Sagittarius, and a Sagittarius eclipse in December. And then, you know, Jupiter leaves Capricorn and Jupiter and Saturn can join in Aquarius, that's going to be a very new and refreshing energy in a lot of ways. There's some bewares about that one two that we're going to talk about, but it's there's the chapter changes happening. And so that's something to look forward to. But I also just wanted to make make sure I was really clear in today's video that, you know, don't get cocky, as Han Solo says Luke Skywalker, "Don't get cocky kid!" Tthat's kind of like where we are right now.
21:37
All of that is fine and dandy. Now I want to take some a few minutes to just show you some of the horaries that I've been working on. So this one is whether or not Joe Biden will win Pennsylvania. And this was cast on Monday evening, here in Minneapolis around 5:25pm. And what I did in this, horary was just say, hey, look, everyone's saying it's going to come down to Pennsylvania, that's going to be the one that either makes or breaks Joe Biden in this race, according to how the polls looked, which we know now, by the way, that there's just like 2016, there were some sizable errors and some of the polls this year, which is another interesting thing. But at any rate, very interesting that a lot of the polls, by the way that were wrong appear to have probably been gathered during Mercury's retrograde. But at any rate, so in this horary the horse that you have in the race, that's the ascendant ruler. And that's for me, Joe Biden. And then the incumbent, the king, who is going to be Saturn. And what's so interesting in this chart is that, again, typically you want to look at the Moon as the voters, and who will the vote go to, and we know that, you know, the the electoral college vote in the state is going to go according to the way that the voters in the state go. So this is a good way to get down into the nitty gritty of the Electoral College, which was one of the things I sort of had a question mark about in the horary that I did for the election, generally, which showed the Moon going right to Joe Biden. And so the horary, you know, that I predicted was in Biden's favour. But I was wondering, because back in 2016, I had predicted in Clinton's favour, but then it had very clearly shown a Clinton victory through the vote, and yet the electoral college didn't go in her way. So I had been wondering, should I include the electoral college or not? And some people commented and said, Well, why not? Pick some of the battleground states and do horary's for those? I didn't want to do all of them because I don't think I don't think the Oracle is like a Pez dispenser. But I did sit with it. And I thought Pennsylvania seems like the one to do.
24:41
So this is again on Monday at about 5:25pm. And what we want to look for is if the Moon is again going to go into any direct aspect with either candidate. Now this is not like I have when I'm casting these charts, when you're casting a horary chart, it's very important that you do it. At the moment that you you the question or actually arises, not that you go, hmm, when is the astrology going to be like this or like that? Like, there's no calculating in advance of when to cast this. It's, it's in the moment when you sort of go, Oh, yeah, I should ask about Pennsylvania, boom, take the time cast the chart. So that's that's how it happened for me. And I don't have enough of a, what do you call it an ephemeris in my head to be able to do to do it instantly, right. So I don't know where what surprising when or whatever. So because sometimes people will ask that, like, you know, do astrologer sort of know what's happening when and then tailor that time to get a certain response and like, unless you're really crappy astrologer, you wouldn't ever do that. Because that's just not a it's not a, you're not an integrity when you do that. If you were to be an Oracle doesn't respect that either. The Oracle will start not giving you clear answers, just in the same way that if you ask if you cast the tarot cards too many times, you'll just start getting muddled. The cards will be like bleugh. And you're like, Oh, I guess I couldn't shouldn't keep asking the same question. Same thing, if you try to manipulate a horary, you won't get a good answer. At any rate, so here you can see the Moon, the voters going right into a trine with Venus, who is Biden, it was interesting to me to see that Trump is depicted as Saturn, the incumbent, the king, on the MC. And he is really strong in that position, like right on the MC and I thought, huh, that's a pretty strong position, accidental dignity-wise. And yet, you know, the Moon is going straight to Venus. So, you know, if the Moon didn't have anything to say, in this chart, then I would have judged for Trump because Trump is in a much stronger position in the chart. But in this chart, the Moon, the voters do go straight to Venus. So I judge this one for Biden, and was not surprised to I was not surprised to see that, pretty early on, he was up in all of the counting. And then it became clear that the pattern of mail in voting and, and so forth, was going to swing in his favour than I thought, yeah, I think this one's gonna pan out and be what I thought it was. So yeah, so Biden wins Pennsylvania was the judgement of this horary.
27:34
At any rate, I want to show you guys one other one that I did, which was Michigan. So I cast this one actually late on election night as the results for Michigan was coming in, but it was still pretty unclear. So I want to show you this one, because this one actually doesn't involve the Moon, and sometimes it's not going to. So my candidate again is Biden. So you can see, the ruler of the ascendant is the sun in Scorpio in the fourth house, and then the incumbent, again, the king is going to be the ruler of the 10th or Venus. In this case, the Moon is not making aspectual connection to either Venus, or to the Sun, meaning it won't perfect an aspect to either of them in this case. So I'm sitting there going, Hmm, yeah, I don't, I'm not seeing how this is going to like what the voters are not giving a decisive picture here. And sometimes that'll happen in horary charts. And in which case, my my teachers, the method that we follow is to look at the dignity of each planet, especially accidental dignity. Accidental dignity would mean house position. Because the essential dignity might give a picture of someone who is, you know, stronger, or I mean, it might say something about their character, or any number of things, but the accidental dignity is typically going to tell you who's in the stronger position. For example, if I was judging a question about if my team would win the football game or the basketball game or not, the Moon's really not going to have a lot to do with it, usually, and it's going to be more about which planet is in the stronger house position. In this case, you can see Biden is the son in a fixed sign in a cardinal or angular house, whereas Trump is Venus in her own sign, but in a cadent house. So I judged this one in favour of Biden because Biden is in a stronger house, and in a more stable sign, whereas you have Trump in a cadent house, in a cardinal sign and the essential dignity of Venus is a bit stronger here, but doesn't really factor into the overall the analysis at least as far as the way that the methods that I've been taught and reading contest horary. So in this one I judged for Biden as well. And yeah, it also appears that Biden's won Michigan. So that's an example when the Moon may not be involved in a horary chart. I thought you guys would find those interesting, just to see how a little bit more about horror, how horary works.
30:20
The person that I've studied under has that I want to textbook I want to promote in case you would like to learn more about these methods. The practitioner that I've studied with is John Frawley have taken his private apprenticeships and really enjoy his work. He wrote this book, The Horary Textbook, Revised Edition. I recommend the revised edition because it's the continuation of he wrote an original book and then updated it. And this updated version has a lot of really good extra stuff in it. So the Horary Textbook, Revised Edition is one of the textbooks that I use in my hoary classroom that I teach. And the methods that I follow come from Frawley, in terms of, especially in terms of like election horrors that I've been demonstrating. So I put that out there not only for people who might be new to astrology and looking for a new textbook to to learn from but also for those people who study astrology and are like, why aren't you using this method or that method? I follow most of the methods that come from Frawley, a combination of Frawley and William Lily, who also wrote a famous horary textbook called Christian Astrology. And of course, there's other you know, people out there that I've read medieval astrologers and, you know, people like bonati and his considerations. And so there's a lot of stuff rolling around in my head with horary that I draw on, but most of the simplest methods that I believe are most eloquent, simple and effective, come from John Frawley. Frawley, by the way was you know, part of a there's a woman named Olivia Barclay who sort of helped to bring horror area astrology back into the West in the 1980s, and one of the ways she did so was by republishing Christian astrology from William Lily who was this masterful Renaissance astrologer and his his textbook called Christian Astrology. So he was in a line of people who are all sort of students from Olivia Barclay. I also really like Geoffrey Cornelius, he's also been a really important figure in my life as a as a kind of student of horror. He came and taught for about a week in my programmes back in 2014, and had a big impact on my horary trajectory. So and then I studied with another gentleman, who he's much more private about his astrology practice and he was a student of John Frawley's as well. He also studied with another woman named Sue Ward and and also I've taken some courses from Deb Houlding, if you want to take a really good course in Horry, there's also one from the traditional school of astrology, the horary course online, which you can find Deb teaching. I think people like Lee Lehman and Wade Caves. So there's some other good stuff out there to check out.

Anyway, that's what I've got for you today. I hope that this has been valuable and interesting. Don't forget that my new class Ancient Astrology for the Modern Mystic begins on November 14. If you ever want to study horary astrology, like we're talking about today, I recommend taking my first year programme first so that you can learn all of the fundamentals of ancient astrology which is very different from modern astrology. And kind of work your way in through natal charts into the horary, which starts next spring so many of my students will take my year one programme and about six, seven months in, you're totally ready to jump into my year two programme or my horary programme or both that start in the spring so a lot of students will be doing that. So anyway, you can check that out on my website, nightlightastrology.com early bird rate is still in effect you can save $500 off when you sign up and pay in full. There's also payment plans and there's need based tuition if you're a single parent if you're you know, part time student if your disability or you're a veteran and so many other kind of like categories that that are there plus people who are struggling due to COVID. So check that out. Feel free to take advantage of that we don't like to price people out. So yeah, check that out. Have any questions email me info@nightlightastrology.com. And thankfully, by the way, just a little follow up on what happened both the man who went into the lake and the jogger were okay, so yeah, crazy story right. All right.
