Hey everyone. This is Adam Elenbaas from Nightlight Astrology. Today, we are going to take a look at Mars coming into conjunction with Jupiter in the sign of Gemini, and both planets are also moving into the square with Saturn and Pisces. We started off this week looking at Jupiter and Saturn square, which is of great historical significance because the Jupiter-Saturn cycles are quite important when it comes to large and dynamic cycles of contraction and expansion that happen historically, culturally, and collectively. Of course, they happen personally as well. So we talked about that yesterday.
Today, we're going to add into the mix the planet Mars. Mars is hitting Jupiter, right as Jupiter squaring Saturn, which means Mars is also squaring Saturn. So we're going to try to unpack those three planets in combination through some archetypal turning of the jewel.
Before we get into it as always, don't forget to like and subscribe. We are trying to get to 70,000 subscribers by the New Year, and right now, we are at. Let me see, we're almost at 67 as of the time I'm recording this, but I record about a week in advance, so it's possible that by this time when you are seeing this, we'll be over that mark, which would be awesome, but that puts us about 3000 subscribers away. So we're seeing what we can do, see if we can bring more new people to the channel, and that helps to grow our business as well. So we really appreciate your support.
You can find transcripts of any of these daily talks on the website nightlightastrology.com. We have a sale going on that I want to point out to all of you. That sale is for a brand new course that we have, that I've designed and created, and that my team has helped me get on our website. So if you go to the Courses tab, see our normal first-year course, second-year course, third-year course, and horary course; these are all of our one-year programs. But sometimes people come to us and say, I am an absolute beginner.
Or maybe there are people out there listening to this who have just recently gotten into astrology and are thinking about studying somewhere. We're thinking about going to the next level. And you're saying, you know, I just need somewhere, just like, where do I start? Click on astrology essentials.
This is our new class, the Absolute Beginners course. In this course, there are eight modules. They're all pre-recorded. So, this is a recorded course that you can download, open, and watch at your own pace. In this beginner course, we start with what astrology is and how it works, a little history lesson, and a little talk about what kind of knowledge astrology is like. Is it a science? What is this? We move through Module Two on planets, Module Three on signs, and Module Four on houses. These are just introductions that, of course, will set you up to study with us in our more intensive year one, year two, and year three programs if you so wish.
On the other hand, if you're new to astrology, this is a great way to just get to know the language so you understand a little bit more of the content that you're taking out there. Module Five is on aspects and dignities. Module six is on timing techniques. Module seven is on horoscopes, how they are made, astrological content creators, and what kinds of astrology people are doing when you're typically listening to content on Instagram or YouTube or whatever. We tell you a lot about how to navigate knowing what you're listening to and what kind of astrology it is, and then, at the end, we talk about the best ways to continue learning astrology.
So I'm really excited about this course. I put a lot of care into its design and really set it up to be a course for people who are looking for someplace to start. So, at the bottom, you'll see that this early bird sale is through August 27. It is on sale from the 12th to yesterday, all the way through the 27th, so you can pick it up and save about $50 off; the course will be released in mid-September. So this is a pre-sale, and the actual course will be released to you. You'll be able to watch it on the website that hosts the course about mid-September.
So, anyway, these are not live meetings. Everything is recorded so you can go at your own pace. And this is, again, this is especially something for people who, I mean, maybe you have a friend or maybe a spouse or a family member who is interested in astrology or wants to know what it is that you're listening to all the time.
This would be a great course for someone who's really starting at, you know, like the bottom floor, I'm just saying I don't know much at all about astrology. So this is something that can really set you up for our other training programs, or it's something that can give you a nice introduction. So you know a little bit more about what kind of content you're consuming, where it comes from, what all of this language means. So yeah, so check it out. If you have any questions, feel free to email us at nightlight astrology.com.
Okay, now let's turn our attention to real-time; here we are, Tuesday, August 13, and what I want to point out is the major aspect that is forming right now is Mars conjoining Jupiter in the sign of Gemini. Now, as those two planets are conjoining at 16 Gemini, they are moving into a square within one degree of Saturn and Pisces at 17 degrees.
So if we just advance this one day, we'll see that the two planets are coming together tomorrow, Mars and Jupiter, and then advance it another day, Thursday, and we'll see that Mars is coming into the square with Saturn and that's over by Friday. And then we see that by Saturday, Jupiter is moving into the exact square with Saturn. We'll also see by the weekend that Venus is making her way into the same dynamic, moving into an opposition with you can see right here, whoops. See right here; Venus will be coming into opposition with Saturn and the square.
So we're getting a little T square created in the sky. And this, of course, is happening over the weekend, at the same time that Mercury's retrograde is squaring Uranus, and simultaneously, Mercury will be Kazimi over the weekend as well. So, and then the sun goes through the square with Uranus. So, we get the full moon squaring Uranus.
So we have a very Uranian middle of the month, going back to the power of the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction in April one more time. Anyhow, the thing that we're looking at today, for the early part of this week is simply the formation of the square between Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn, while Mars and Jupiter come together in conjunction.
So what do we get when we put these three planets together, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn as an archetypal combination, especially across the signs of Gemini and Pisces, number one, early this week, like today tomorrow, especially into Thursday when we see Mars and Jupiter come together, you may notice the following themes, Mars representing speed, and when Mars contacts Jupiter, that speed can be amplified, so things can feel like they're moving really quickly. That may just be like an energetic signature of the week that you notice things are moving really quickly; typically, in the sign of Gemini, they're moving quickly on the level of mercurial things, which would mean mind, information, data, speech, words, communication, things like that. Mercury's retrograde.
So that could easily mean that there is some element of speed and conflict and potential for misunderstanding and conflict due to the speed at which things are moving, which would be something to watch for. And then you get Jupiter's amplification of those potential themes, which just sort of blows them up.
Then, on the other hand, we have bravado when Mars, who naturally can be a little bit of a braggart. You know, when you place Mars with Jupiter, you get the potential for that kind of, I'll just call it cocky, like a cocky energy, so speed that can amplify the mind and Mercurial stuff that could lead to potential conflicts, and amplification of conflicts, maybe due to misunderstanding or due to reactionary thinking or speaking. And then you have the bravado of Mars-Jupiter, which could also be a positive. The courage, the swagger, the confidence, the moxie. You know, those are words that sometimes help us, so watch for them to potentially be your ally. This week, those kinds of energies victory.
Mars-Jupiter is victorious, especially given the square from Saturn. It could be that we are overcoming some difficult things and feeling really good about ourselves because we're finding the strength, determination, and courage to overcome something. We'll talk more about that in a minute. Strength is just an amplification of strength, feeling strong momentum, feeling like you're gaining really positive momentum in something that you are actively seeking or working toward due to your ambitions.
Mars-Jupiter is very ambitious, and when they come together, you'll often find that the strength and momentum is moving you in the direction of accomplishment. Those are wonderful things about that we could say about Mars-Jupiter. Of course, there are some difficult things as well. For example, we also have the square from Saturn in Pisces. And so this may be a pressure cooker experience where we need all of the qualities I just mentioned, unchecked by Saturn, which would sort of make you feel like you're flying.
You know, this might be a little bit more like the focused, determined, heroic effort that conquers a difficult problem through mental ingenuity, stick-to-itiveness, and hard work and focus, especially when the temptation is there to feel overwhelmed or to feel flooded with emotions.
So, a moment of focus, determined, heroic effort, maybe mental effort, maybe intellectual or communicative effort, maybe technological gathering and focusing of resources somehow. But it's a pressure cooker when Mars and Saturn get together, adding Jupiter in certainly helps. It suggests the ability to bring forth something magnificent out of some kind of contractive space, the pressure cook, the pressure that makes the diamond, so to speak.
So but there is definitely a feeling like, if you again, if you just had Mars Jupiter, you get this line, speed, bravado, victory, strength, momentum. Add in Saturn, and you get the focus, determined, heroic effort, the pressure cooker that blends with all of those sorts of amplified Mars-Jupiter themes.
Number three would be overcoming obstacles through courage, perseverance, intelligence, and discipline; like Saturn, Saturn with Mars and Jupiter can indicate a moment of great, focused effort that is very much in line with your plans. It's not out of the scope of what you are expecting. It's just part of the journey. It's like this is a moment of determination, hard work, effort, focus, and contractive. You know, working, there's a pressure, and it's coming through some spaces in your life. And you know you are; you are earning something through hard work and dedication. And it's not like out of the ordinary.
On the other hand, when Mars, the ruler of bad fortune, which is nothing more than saying the stuff that comes up that we're averse to, that we don't really like, and that we have to overcome somehow, which could be very minor. It's like, oh shoot, you know, I need a new tire on my car, or something like that would be a bad fortune in the ancient sense of fortune, stuff that shit that happens, you know.
So when, when obstacles come up, when Saturn the malefic and Mars the malefic meet, it can be like, Oh, here's unplanned for unexpected, bad fortune, a kink in the hose, you know, a twist in the plot, a frustrating, unexpected moment that suddenly has to be overcome, and it can only be overcome through a kind of courage, persevering, intelligent, mature, focused effort.
So the juxtaposition between number two and three on this list is in number two, the focus, determined, heroic effort. The pressure cooker is usually not out of the ordinary. It's not outside the scope of what has already been planned for or what you knew was coming. It's just this is the contractive moment. This is a contractive space that's part of the plan, and you have to go through it to get where you want to go.
On the other hand, there is a pressure cooker kind of experience. We have to overcome obstacles through ingenuity and intelligence and, you know, stick-to-itiveness and all those great qualities that Mars-Jupiter signifies. But it's coming up because the two malefics are meeting, and they're providing unexpected, difficult circumstances.
Okay, all of this constellates around the full moon, by the way, with a heavy Uranian signature, which suggests that the things that are coming up that are difficult that we have to overcome can lead to a real, much larger sense of breakthrough. It's kind of like, you know, that moment in your day where, you know, I'm thinking of, I'm thinking of Ashley and I where, you know, it's like we're running the kids from this place to that place, and then this person cancels, and then we forgot. We got to go do this thing, and there's a phone call, and it's just one of those super chaotic days. And this happened for us this summer, for sure, when Mars-Uranus came together on my ascendant right.
It was such a dynamic period of chaos and erratic energies. And Ashley and I were at the end of the day, and we looked at each other, and we were like, This has to stop. And it's like the moment, the normal everyday stuff, the stressors that none of which individually were like wildly out of the blue, but the combination of a bunch of them at once was kind of overwhelming.
So all of a sudden, we just realized, Oh yeah, it's time for a different approach to organizing our day and the way that we shuttle the kids around and blah, blah, blah, you know, or you, you reach a point where you're, let's say you guys know, I loved, I love cleaning out my closet. It's like I do, like, three or four times a year. I love organizing my closet. And. Uh, and the garage, those two places in the basement storage.
So those three places, anyhow, when you're, you know, it always happens like this. For me, I'll be in the closet, and I'll be like, doing something, and then all of a sudden, like, a shoe will fall off the shelf, and it'll like, hit me in the head, you know, and I'll be like, enough, enough. You get back in your place, and then, and then the next day, you know, I'm like, in there. I'm like, mad scientist. There's smoke coming out of my ears, and I'm completely reorganizing the closet. But it's that breaking point, is what I'm talking about, it's that breaking point where it doesn't have to be that the things that come up that are difficult right now are, you know, like catastrophic, but they'll hit differently.
They'll hit a little bit different because there's this larger Jupiter-Saturn change that's happening that reflects a reorganization or a redesign of the closet, of the structure of the system, of the paradigm of the operating programs, so that reorganizing of the operating program can come on quickly through the shoe, falling off the shelf and hitting you on the head. This is like, how bad, you know, like, how bad is that really? Not very bad. But if it hits you just right, you know, on the right day, you'll be like, you know, it's like the kids too, the poor kids. You guys have kids, you know I'm talking about, there'll be some, some pattern that's gone on and, you know, a pattern of behavior or something with them not putting their cups away, or whatever the hell it is. And you'll; then you'll, you'll reach this point.
It's usually Ashley, honestly, that reaches this point before I do, and she'll just be like enough. The kids are like, What? What? What happened? It's just the cup, but I've had enough. I've reached this point. It's the last time that you will knock your cup over and then leave it soaking in a puddle somewhere on the floor. So there's a tipping point. And a lot of the times, you know, in the big scheme of things, they're kind of cosmically absurd. The tipping points are the little things that happen that make us realize that something big needs to change. But watch for that.
On the other hand, some of you may really be up shit creek without a paddle. I don't mean to minimize, right? I'm just trying to make sure not everybody freaks out. The truth is, some percentage of people will have some really challenging stuff come up around these aspects, especially depending on where they're hitting in your natal chart. What I can tell you is that they are part of it.
Number four is the reform or revision of structures or paradigms. There's Jupiter-Saturn, brought about by sudden, decisive actions or confrontations. Now is the time to act. Now is the time to change. Maybe it's because some difficult things have come up that just constitute a tipping point. Maybe some really difficult things have come up. But either way, the bottom line is, we need to recreate some structures. We need to reform the structures of the organizational faculties around us, all right.
Number five, necessity is the mother of invention. This is an old saying, of course, but it is one that reflects the moment Jupiter Saturn represents a moment of expansion born through some kind of contractive space; birth is like that, right?
There's major contractions that are part of this moment of great release and and springing forth of life, which is very Jupiterian. Jupiter was associated with spring, Saturn with winter, the contractions that are somehow part of the recreation or the remaking or the revising or the new structure, system or paradigm.
Excuse me, but when Mars comes in the square with Saturn at the exact same time, another way of looking at it is that sometimes constraints and the necessity of Saturn provide us with an opportunity to get really creative. And nobody likes the contractive part, but the creativity born out of constraint and restriction and some moment where necessity just says, now it's necessary that you do something different, that you revise a change, that you invent something new that you look at something that is a big part of what's happening right now. You could say that's just Jupiter-Saturn, but it's amplified by Mars coming through as well. Won't it be fun when we bring Venus into the mix, create a T square, and then throw in a whole bunch of aspects to Uranus all at the same time around a full moon? All right, that's it for today.
Don't forget, on the 22nd of this month, I'm doing a talk on the eighth house, the place of karmic debts. You can check that out on the Live Events tab on our website, nightlight astrology.com, and then be sure to check out the sale that we're running on the new beginner's course. The Beginners course is for total beginners, people who want a good starting place before considering our year one, year two, and year three programs, people who are relatively new to astrology and just want a better understanding of the language that you're taking in that you're becoming interested in.
For people, especially those who follow my channel and are newer to astrology, if you want a way of being able to consume this content with a lot more help and understand what you're listening to, This is also a course that's built for you that wouldn't necessarily mean you have to go and study anymore, either.
So, on that note, I hope you'll check it out. We'll be running that sale again this week and next week, and I'll be promoting it as we go. So that's it for today. Hope you're having a good one. We'll talk to you again soon. Bye.
