Mars Opposing Uranus: Through the Houses

Hey everyone, this is Acyuta-bhava from Nightlight Astrology and today we are going to take a look once more at Mars is upcoming opposition to Uranus and Taurus Mars is in Scorpio. But we're going to be doing it today according to your rising sign and take a look at which houses are being activated according to your rising sign. So that is our agenda for today. We're going to go through the rising signs today. So that means we're going to take a look at where this Mars Uranus opposition is falling in your chart based on your rising signs. In other words, if you were us a whole sign house system, which is what we use in Hellenistic astrology, then this would be the exact house configuration that these that this opposition is falling across. Tomorrow what we're going to be doing in light of the upcoming Eclipse is probably looking at this from the standpoint of the just the house of Taurus. So we'll walk through this again but just focus on Tauruses house and your birth chart. Anyway, so let's go ahead Put Aries on the ascendant. And I'm just going to highlight this and do a brief breakdown of all 12 Rising signs.

Aries

So if you are an Aries rising, then what we're looking at is we're seeing Mars and Uranus coming into the opposition. And let's put this forward one day, just so you can see. So here they are coming through the opposition. But tomorrow, Wednesday, November 17, we're going to do this for all 12 signs. So Aries, this falls across your eighth house, second house axis. These are houses that have to do with resources in your life in your life, those that belong to you that come from you from your own skills and development of your own skills, your own resources, or genius to maybe resources that are very close to you that you rely on. And also, when we think about the eighth house, we're really thinking about other people's resources. Or we're thinking about the the overlap between our resources and other people's insofar as maybe I owe certain things to people in this lifetime karmically now, owe doesn't mean necessarily a bad thing. There's people that I have karmic obligations to responsibilities to that I want to serve or help. But also maybe people that I'm indebted to on some level now, so and it can go the other direction as well, someone may also be indebted to you in some way. But the idea of a conflict over resources or a change in the status or condition of resources is constant this month, because we've got an eclipse in house number two, that's your financial house talk more about that. This week, as we look at the Eclipse coming up.

Also, the eighth house Mars can bring brings to mind the idea of a conflict around other people's resources. So for example, let's say you're in a marriage, and you're talking about people equally pulling their weight, or you're trying to define who's responsible for what in terms of daily household duties or bills, or this would be a time where you could see there being of a separating of resources, or maybe some challenges or conflicts around who's doing what or who is responsible, who's obligated to do what. So I would be careful about getting in fights around money or resources. But also, in general, you know, you don't want to be giving things that you that are draining you or that you're taking things from other people that are draining them. So there is an aura around this transit, if you're an Aries rising to me anyway, that says, you know, concerns about independence, and the need to be free and self sufficient, those kinds of things come to mind. And the same is actually true, when we go through Libra rising, we'll come back to that. Alright, so those are some of the tensions that I'm seeing sort of boiling right now for the Aries rising folk.

Taurus

Let's go on and put Taurus on the ascendant. So this is my own ascendant, which is really interesting to me. And remember, some of this will hit more or less depending on you know, other things happening in your birth chart. So Mars opposite Uranus can be across this first and seventh house axis, we're talking about the self and other axis, which means you have to be careful about the theme of independence, individuality, the need for greater freedom, within the context of relationships, it's very easy to get into conflicts with people that you love, or people that you're close with, or people that you work with, or just conflict or hostility in general with other people. So I would be very careful right now, that if you're a Taurus rising over the next couple of days, for the potential conflict that can arise in relationships. With Uranus in the first house you thinking about the need to individuation with Mars in the seventh, you're thinking about the needs or demands of other people that are being placed on you. And the pressure that that creates inside when you're also trying to somehow become more free or become you're trying to change in some very fundamental ways. Remember, the eclipses coming up in your first house as well. So we have to talk about that. The same is true for Scorpio rising in a way we're talking about independence and dependence emotionally, spiritually, with others in your life and how you're handling that right now. The need for freedom, personal autonomy and space. And the demands or needs of others in relationships are in a pretty intense dialogue though right now if you're a Taurus rising. So let's go ahead and move on.

Gemini

We'll talk about Gemini rising. So for Gemini rising, the Mars square Mars Uranus dynamic is happy across your 12th and sixth houses. Personally, I think Geminis and Sag's have this transit happening and probably the most challenging places, this can be a lot about frustrating energies. And looking at what kinds of conflicts or are undermining you could be in the workplace could be within yourself could be habits or patterns of behaviour you have that are really not doing you any favours, it could be that there are frustrating elements having to do with your health, or mental or emotional or physical health. The Mars the sixth 12th House access, the two houses were called bad fortune and evil spirit in the ancient tradition. And these two houses bring the kinds that they were respectively the joy of Mars in the sixth house and the joy of Saturn in the 12th house. So these houses are like blind spots to the ascendant. The Ascendant doesn't see either of these places by a whole sign aspect, which means that these are places that can cause frustrations and setbacks, quarrels and conflicts, health problems, and, you know, hard, hard labour and kind of frustrating circumstances. So, if you're going through, you know, some of the, you know, the more challenging qualities of Mars Uranus dynamic, which, for example, will often appear as sudden unexpected challenges and conflicts, that would be par for the course. And, honestly, with eclipses in your 12th house right now, if you're a Gemini, which is what's coming up that Eclipse in your 12th house in Taurus, if you can even just become more aware of what patterns in yourself or in relationships or in a difference in some sphere of your life or causing you problems and just get clarity about it right now, that's worth it that even if you have to go through some even if there's some stress and challenge, right now, the awareness that can come about through an eclipse in the 12th house, this undermines me, this isn't good for me, I need to get free from this particular kind of energy or this person or whatever, that alone would be worth it. Just also remember that reactivity across this house access that leads to bad fortune is one of the more negative possibilities right now. So just try to be patient kind, take the insights that come use them to create change. But just be careful not to let these energies get to what do I want to say real reactive, because they can really undermine you in these houses. So just be careful of that. And tell me your stories. In particular, if you're Gemini or sad, rising, we'll come back to Saj in a little bit. All right, let's go forward to cancer rising.

Cancer

If you're a Cancer rising, the Mars Uranus energy is falling across your fifth and your 11th houses. And these two houses were respectively called the House of good fortune and the house of good spirit contrasting with the sixth and the 12th. Mars Uranus across this house axis can be indicative of creative conflicts. For example if you are a part of a group of people, that is doing something and everyone's creative input has to be considered and is being weighed and evaluated and some people's creative input is going to be taken up and other people's are going to be rejected. This could be part of what you're dealing with right now is competing ideas about how to do something within a creative project or something like that, or within parenting or within a group of people that you belong to. So conflicts within groups, creative conflicts. Now again, conflict: why? because God of War, Mars is opposing Uranus got up revolution. So it's kind of like the potential for there to be different ideas that are competing within different social hemispheres of your life that are not easy to resolve necessarily. Mars opposite Uranus across this house axis could also bring up just in general, the conflicts within groups or communities that you belong to. And also, maybe something of a reckless or, or rebellious impulse when it comes to seeking pleasure or joy or happiness or creativity, you could just feel there's a little bit more of the Rebel Without a Cause energy, the feeling of needing to break rules and, you're a seventh grader. This is like, Let's go egg someone's house kind of energy. It has like fun trickster, joyful, maybe gets you into trouble kind of stuff behind it. So I would be, you know, not surprised if there's a little a theme of kind of like, recklessness and pleasure, creativity and risk, stuff like that it could be kind of wild and experimental creatively too. So those are kind of fun energies that are there. But they can, again, they can kind of swerve off course a little bit if you're not careful. So, for everyone, that's the advice in this this week. All right, let's move forward to Leo.

Leo

If you're a Leo rising, then the Mars Uranus dynamic takes place across your 10th and fourth house axis. So you're talking about the potential for conflict at the roots, the roots, being home, family, living environment, ancestral karma. You know, when when I think of the fourth house, I think of the the foundational elements of our lives, our parents, you know, it's like the fourth house is a little bit like your bedroom of the birth chart. And the opposition to Uranus in the 10th house could also create some tension between the inner private domestic sphere of life and the professional sphere of life. So Uranus in the 10th House wants, you know, revolution wants innovation, it wants to break outside of established norms and habits, especially in the workplace. Mars in the fourth house is trying to enact that it's, it's definitely stimulating the need for that as well. But it's also doing so well, possibly bringing up some level of conflict or challenge within the home or family environment. So tensions between work and home, those are the ones that are really cooking for you right now, if you're a Leo rising. Now, if, for example, there could be some pretty serious disagreements about how to handle Thanksgiving next week or something like that. Anyway, let's go. But revolution at the roots revolution around work and roots and family. That's it if you're a Leo rising.

Virgo

Alright, let's go forward to Virgo rising for Virgo risings. I love this one, because it's happening across the third and the ninth house axis, which usually means that there's some kind of Gestalt happening mentally, intellectually, spiritually. You know, this can be very experimental in terms of people who are writers or thinkers or teachers, you know, experimenting with new curriculum or new way of communicating with other people. It can speak to ideological, political or religious disagreements. But it could also speak to a paradigm shift of some course some kind that's very exciting, or maybe a new course that you're taking or something like that that's pushing the envelope or that's asking you to open your mind and be challenged to think in a different way. You do want to be careful, the polarising tendency around things like religion and politics with this one, especially in the next week. But there's something of a revolution of mind and spirit happening for you if you're a Virgo, because you get that Eclipse coming up in your ninth house. We talking about that later this week.

Libra

Right if you're a Libra rising, then we're back to the same configuration. Now we're talking again about read that we were with Aries we're talking about the conflict between resources, my resources and other people's resources. Mars in the second house tends to be fiercely independent around money and business and the need for self sufficiency or the development of one's own skills that can create you know revenue or income or starting your own business. And the need for freedom around personal finances is strong with this placement. Now in opposition to Uranus in the eighth the need or desire to break free from unhealthy co dependencies would be a strong strongly indicated in this one. But also the the idea of using your resources in a way that creates freedom, I'm paying off my credit card debt rather than spending too much on Christmas gifts this year, you know, whatever the case might be the idea of looking for greater freedom with your the way you use your resources or the way you use your skills comes to mind if you're a Libra rising. conflicts around money or resources in relationships, though, would be another one in general. Now, again, people might be a little bit bummed out that I'm mentioning so much conflict this month, but Mars Uranus is like that, guys, it's just as for as much as it can create many amazing breakthroughs. Usually the breakthrough comes because of some like, kind of like, hey, you know, Ram heads butting a little bit you get it's Mars after all.

Scorpio

So if you're a Scorpio rising, we're back to the first seventh house axis just like we were with Taurus. Now we're talking about interpersonal relationships and the need for greater freedom and independence within them. We're also talking about independence versus dependence. Sometimes the revolution if you're Mars, that rising type of individual, which you are, if you're a Scorpio rising, that's your ruling planet. Sometimes the real revolution is about how can I set aside my own self interest for the sake of you know harmonising with others. that actually could be something. I think that could be quite interesting this month for you as a Scorpio rising because, you know, this is your home home planet in your home sign in your first house. It's very empowering. But Uranus and Taurus in the seventh might be asking you to come up with a new way of relating or doing relationships in general. And that probably would lean toward something that's not as self contained or self protecting or that's not quite as individualistic, and that's more harm. harmonised harmonious. So maybe there's some room for growth within the context of relationships this month, or how do I do dependency versus independence. Probably as a Scorpio rising, you know, most people being again, ruled by a Mars sign or having Mars as the ruler of the rising sign, are going to lean more toward independence. So revolutionary Uranus in the sign of Venus in the seventh might be pulling you into experimenting with different ways of relating to other people right now.

Sagittarius

Sagittarius rising, we're back to that difficult sixth and 12th house axis, just like we were with Gemini. And again, you're talking about, I would say the potential for this space to be more about mental emotional and physical challenges that are coming up health, what can be you know, a physical thing, but also across this axis, it can be about facing our emotional and mental patterns that are that undermine us, especially with Mars, Mercury, the sun all in the 12th house right now, you know, you know, this is just the signature of someone who can be just stressed out for a little bit, or overwhelmed with lots of different stressors simultaneously, and the need to break free from them is strong, which means to whatever extent you've contributed to creating your own stressors, this is a great month to have some understanding of how and why you got into the situation in the first place. And maybe being able to change some of those patterns so that you don't get into them again. That's what I love about the 12th and sixth house, they're tough, but they give you the transits in the 12th and sixth are tough, but they also tend to give you the insight that helps you go like, Okay, I got myself into this, how did I get myself into this, and I can make sure that I don't do it again. On the other hand, the 12th and sixth house have there's a lot of themes of sacrifice involved with both houses, sixth house joy of Mars, Mars, associated with martyrdom in the sixth house traditionally. And Saturn also in the 12th house, sometimes willingly steps away from the world, and sacrifices some level of personal investment in the world for the sake of solitude and contemplation. And so I also wonder right now, if conflicts are leading you to recognise that there's something that needs to be sacrificed, surrendered, given up. Or if there's, if some level of conflict isn't causing you to need to step back from something, that those are things that come to mind for me, if you're sad, rising right now, I'd love to hear your stories, especially the Saj and Geminis this month for the rising signs. Because, you know, I just like to check in with people, when it looks like they might be a little bit more challenging. hear your stories, you know, maybe hear some of the constructive things that are coming out of it, too.

Capricorn

So, if we go to Capricorn rising, just like cancer rising, we're back across the 11th and fifth house axis. With Mars in the 11th. House, you think for the have the potential for there to be? Well, first of all, you think of the 11th house and you think of groups, or you think of friends, or social circles and communities of people also allies or people who offer you some kind of support, or aid, people who have resources that are helping us get where we want to go that those were all things traditionally associated with the 11th house. With Mars in that house, you think about the potential for conflicts within groups or communities. With Uranus in the fifth place of joy, pleasure, creativity, you're thinking to yourself, you know, if a group isn't making me happier, isn't creatively doesn't feel like it's creatively fulfilling, then should I stay? Should I stick around? If a company if a group of people have colleagues useful, helpful, but at what cost? Does it feel like it's at the cost of my true joy or my creative essence, you know, if the group if the groups of people or the friends or the social scenes in your life are not providing you with some sense of companionship, support, but also that there's that there's a sincere feeling that I'm joyful, and I'm in my own element, I feel like I'm being true to myself within these particular friendships or social dynamics or groups or whatever, then you know, they probably shouldn't be in our lives. And so if it's not providing that then you know, we might have to leave Mars opposite Uranus can be about a creative revolution, a revolution within groups challenges or conflicts within groups, different ideologies within groups and questions about whether groups are are a match for me or not on the level of my joy and happiness, and, you know, my own creative spark. So those are the kinds of things that tend to come up around the 11th and fifth house axis. Sometimes you'll also see things about social life and your children to coming up if you have, and same thing would be true for cancer rising across these two house. across these two houses, the fifth house being the house of children, sometimes there's questions about the kids social life for where you're going to put them in school, or what's the best community for kids to be raised in or something like that. So you could also be dealing with things that match what I'm talking about, potentially on the level of, you know, raising your you know, your parenting. Okay, so those are just a few thoughts for you guys.

Aquarius

Let's go forward to Aquarius rising just like Leo, we're back across the 10th and fourth house access. And at this point, again, the tension here is between home and family and the workplace, or your roots, your private sphere of life, your home living environment, things like parents ancestral karma land, the the foundation of your life Uranus is pointing toward and for a while has been pointing toward the need for a reconfiguring of your life according to where you live, where your home and family are, how family works, or how its structured. And Mars right now, is intensifying the need for that revolution from within the 10th House of career. So generally speaking, you're thinking about what are the what kinds of action Mars is a planet of action, what kind of action, what kind of conflict, what kind of pressures, what kind of momentum or desires in your career house are directly interacting with the planet of revolution down in the house of home and family. That can mean a million different things to different people, right. So for example, a job change that leads to relocating, that's one of the most common when you see challenging aspects, you know, between some planet and Uranus around the 10th, and the fourth, the need to reconfigure your roots because of whatever kinds of pressures or energies are building within the career house comes to mind this month for you if you're an Aquarius rising. So as always, I'd love to hear your guys's stories about all of these and how you're seeing them play out.

Pisces

If we move forward to the final sign of Pisces, again, I think Pisces Virgo have some of the most interesting going on right now. Because the ninth and third houses with the eclipses speak to a some kind of paradigm shift intellectually, but sometimes it means you're learning something new, you're going back to school, you're declaring, you know, an area of focus or study, you're doing research, you're building a blog, you're writing a book, you're finding a mentor, you're taking a programme, you're finding a guru, you're going to do some travelling potentially over the next year, especially with eclipses that are going to keep coming through these houses. But this one in particular also strikes me as ideological conflict. So you have to be really careful about political or religious disagreements right now. Not that they're, you know, they're a part of life. So I'm not saying you don't just hide from them. But just be careful about how you do intellectual, philosophical or religious political disagreements at this time. Also, opening your mind to new things and starting to receive greater wisdom or understanding some kind of intellectual or spiritual revolution looks like it's at hand if you're a Pisces rising.

Alright guys, so I wanted to take it through and just go through all 12 signs and give you a sense of where that Mars Uranus energy is building have to do just kind of quick hits on the houses. But I hope it at least gives you some bearings so that you know what to expect.
