Winter Master Class 2025
In this three-part series, we will explore the meanings and interconnectedness of the 1st, 5th, and 9th whole-sign houses, or what are sometimes referred to as the houses of “dharma” in ancient Indian astrology. The word “dharma” has many meanings, but perhaps the simplest meaning within the context of astrology is “the purpose for which we are born.” We will also explore the patterns of the signs occupying these houses in birth charts as they are distributed uniquely through each elemental family.
In this class, students will learn:
- The interconnected meanings of the 1st, 5th, and 9th houses

The word “artha” loosely refers to the work for which we are born, as well as our material livelihood and civic or social status. Adam Elenbaas
Since opening my practice in 2010, I've completed over 13,000 birth chart readings and led more than 5000 students through my natal and horary astrology programs. Many of my students have gone on to cultivate dedicated professional practices.
My personal practice sprang from my studies of ayahuasca shamanism spanning more than 10 years and 100 ceremonies. Upon discovering deep meaning in the patterns of the sky, I began consulting formal teachers, who taught me the practical history, craft, and philosophy of astrology.
I now weave aspects from my diverse spiritual and traditional studies into my courses and apprenticeships. My goal is to give you, my students, a practical and spiritual platform from which to view and practice astrology in the world today.
Throughout the Nightlight Master Class series, you will develop advanced natal chart delineation skills through the application of a variety of specialized topics and techniques.

Can I take just ONE of the seminars, rather than all four?
Yes, you get the best deal if you purchase all four at once, but you can also purchase just one at a time.
If I purchase just one seminar, do I still get to keep the replays?
Yes, you will still get the replays and course content. Each master class in the series has its own course website.
How long are the classes?
2 hours each.
When do classes meet?
They meet on Fridays at 2:00 pm eastern time.
What if I can’t make the live classes?
Each class is recorded and the class notes along with the audio/video files are kept for you on the class website.
Do I have to join the discussion forum?
No, it is optional. It’s just there in case you have questions or want to discuss the material with your classmates.
Is there homework?
No, there is no homework in the Master Class series.
Is there a certification test?
No, there is no certification or exam for the Master Class Series.
How regularly do classes meet?
Each class has its own schedule, which you can find in the description of the courses above.
What level of astrology knowledge do I need?
We recommend that students be enrolled in or have completed our year-one program, or that students have some prior experience with traditional natal astrology. However, we welcome anyone who wants to join the classes, regardless of level or prior experience.
The Master Class series is designed to take your study of Hellenistic astrology beyond the foundations and basics.
