* Discipline vs slack practices (Mercury/Saturn)
* Problem solving and mental focus (Mercury/Saturn)
* Confrontations with authority figures in speech, writing, learning, etc (Mercury/Saturn)
* Generational conflicts over ideology, philosophy, speech, and thought (Jupiter/Saturn/Mercury)
* Difficult negotiations, demands, stand offs (Mercury/Saturn)
* The continuation of a transitional period marked by important events
* Martyrs, victims, saviors, blame, scapegoating, mercy and harsh judgments
* Excuses, whining, lack of organization/attention to details, forgetfulness….or, relaxation, surrender, trust in an organic process
* Holding others to standards we don’t hold for ourselves
* Depression or coming to terms with the hard facts/coldness of something or someone
* Dealing with the boring, the mundane, and the monotonous
* Longing for something more, something beyond the status quo
* Constructing new paradigms of thought or imagination
* Establishing a new way of approaching something, renewed excitement or faith in something or someone
* Teachers/Gurus/Leaders, our expectations of them, of ourselves
* Naive idealism and overly rigid conservatism
* A life transition that feels stubbornly monotonous
* A debate going nowhere, a conversation that keeps repeating and doesn’t seem to make progress
* Events that turn the tide of stubborn conversations
It’s been a challenging month or so with the Sun and Venus first activating the mutable grand cross, and now Mercury follows suit. We’ll talk more about this transit in the days to come.
