Hey everyone. This is Adam Elenbaas from Nightlight Astrology. Happy Monday, everybody! Today we're going to do a weekly overview because we have an absolutely packed week full of major astrological transits.
Of course, the big one coming at the very end of the week is Mars opposite Pluto. But we also have Mercury opposite Uranus, Mars moving into Leo, and Mercury moving into Sagittarius. We've got a bunch of aspects from Mercury to other planets this week as well, along with a new moon coming up in Scorpio.
It will be good to just lay it all out on the table and take a look at what's coming as the week begins. This week, we'll also have horoscopes for November and our monthly overview for November as well. In some of those episodes, we'll actually be looking at some of the transits that are coming in the early part of November, which is at the end of this week.
So, you're going to get a lot of coverage of some of these transits from multiple angles that we have prepared in our content. That's our agenda for today. Remember to like and subscribe. We are trying to get to 80,000 subscribers by the spring equinox, or fall equinox if you're in the southern hemisphere.
We have little goals we're setting for ourselves to build the audience, and we really appreciate it if you watch regularly and enjoy it. It's free to subscribe and helps us in everything we do. You can find transcripts of any of these daily talks on our website, NightlightAstrology.com.
The only promotion I have for today is to remind you that our new class, "Ancient Astrology for the Modern Mystic," begins November 16. Click on "First Year Course" under the Courses tab for registration options. Although our Early Bird sale has completed, need-based tuition assistance is available until the start of the class.
If you're someone who needs a little help to make it happen because you're on a fixed or limited income, we want to ensure that astrology is accessible for anyone with a sincere desire to study. After I sign off today, you'll find an informational video about the course at the end of today's content.
Now, let us turn our attention to the real-time clock and look at our transits for the week. We have transits happening today, which I started covering last week. If you wanted more content on today’s Venus-Saturn square, which is passing this morning but is still in effect, you could go back to last week for more details.
Let's break down the week's transits one at a time, starting with the first transit of the week, Venus’s square to Saturn. Today, October 28, we see Venus squaring Saturn, which reflects sometimes difficult spaces in relationships, or more serious passages and themes around love, sex, and friendships.
Venus’s square to Saturn can mark a serious inflection point for relationships, representing maturity or weightier themes in love. It can also be a positive moment of growth and maturity, coming to terms with things and establishing better boundaries in relationships.
Next, let's look at today’s Mars trine to Neptune. Mars is in the late degrees of Cancer, making this trine just before its opposition to Pluto at the end of the week. The theme of sacrifice often comes up with Mars trine Neptune. This aspect embodies maternal energy and can represent acts of compassion, charity, and healing.
However, there's also potential for extremes when it comes to reaching a higher goal, which could lead to fanaticism or delusion. It's important to remain cautious of this shadow side during this transit.
Now, moving to October 30, the big transit in the middle of the week is Mercury opposite Uranus. This will likely be surprising, erratic, and disruptive, shaking things up. While this energy can be inventive and original, we also need to be careful of reactive speech that could be disruptive or shocking.
On the positive side, this opposition can lead to breakthroughs in thinking or solutions to problems, offering a moment of clarity or liberation from pent-up energy. Mercury in Scorpio may bring hidden truths to light, especially if you've been trying to solve a problem.
On Halloween, October 31, we see Mercury trine Neptune. This aspect could be fun, dark, and creative, enhancing the Halloween vibe. It can help us delve into nuances and subtleties, making us aware of hidden emotional currents.
This transit also allows for tremendous emotional release and healing, though it may not always be easy. As we continue through this watery season, we look ahead to Friday's New Moon in Scorpio. This new moon is powerful and cathartic, coinciding with Mars opposing Pluto.
Expect emotional releases and a cardinal signature of catharsis around this new moon cycle. Following this, on November 2, Mercury will trine Mars. With a Grand Water Trine forming, these powerful emotional energies will likely manifest on an instinctual level, pushing us to become more aware of our emotional and environmental dynamics.
On the same day, Mercury will also sextile Pluto, allowing for deeper insights into previously hidden aspects of our lives. When Mercury enters Sagittarius, the ensuing Mercury-Jupiter opposition will suggest a shift in our beliefs and understanding.
Despite the challenges posed by the Mars-Pluto opposition, these dramatic energies may lead to significant intellectual and philosophical growth. We might experience a paradigm shift and a deeper understanding of our experiences.
Finally, on November 3, Mars will enter Leo, leaving its fall in Cancer. This shift into a more neutral position is positive, especially with the Sun and Mars in mutual reception. While it may not be all rainbows and butterflies, there are silver linings to be found, including a benefic opposition between Venus and Jupiter that may offer support during this tumultuous week.
As we wrap up, we will be covering the horoscopes and monthly overview for November in the coming days. Reflection on these transits is crucial as we navigate this dynamic period, especially with the upcoming US election.
It's good to have a community where we can reflect on our experiences and find meaning within the cosmic context of astrology. I hope you'll join us for this journey.
After I sign off, there's more information about the first-year course. I highly recommend it if you feel called to study astrology during this powerful time. Have a good day and a great start to the week! We'll see you again soon. Bye-bye.
