Bio
Meg Freitag is a writer, astrologer, and educator. A lifelong lover of myth, metaphor, and storytelling, she has MFAs in creative writing from UT Austin’s Michener Center for Writers and the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, and is the author of two books: Edith, a poetry collection, and This Is a Book for People Who Love Dogs, an illustrated work of nonfiction. Meg is trained in Hellenistic astrology through Nightlight Astrology, where she now works as the Course Director for the Year 1 and Year 2 programs. While her natal chart consultations all have a similar aim–to help others find self-acceptance, self-compassion, and clarity through astrology–no two are alike, and most readings include some combination of solar returns, annual profections, secondary progressions, and/or transit work in addition to assessing natal promise. As a Scorpio Saturn rising and 6th house balsamic Moon, she has a special affinity for difficult placements.
When she’s not writing or practicing astrology, you can find her teaching creative writing workshops to both kids and adults within her local Boise, Idaho community. She also loves yoga, fiber arts, thrifting, taking long walks in the hills, medieval history, ghosts, dream work, and every dog she’s ever met.
