The Exaltations, the Planetary House Joys, and the Thema Mundi enrich our understanding of the signs, houses, and planets in an interconnected web of meaning. This talk will delve into underlying patterns that connect the 3 systems and what they might tell us about ancient astrology’s esoteric content. By delving into how they organize fundamental astrological principles, we can begin to grasp ancient astrology as even more than a practical system for interpretation and prediction, but as a philosophical organism, alive with myth, math, and even magical thinking.
About the speaker
Drew Levanti is a San Francisco-based astrologer and mystical educator known for technical precision, scholarly depth, and his uniquely soulful style. Bridging Hellenistic astrology with ancient metaphysics & mysteries, Levanti’s work interweaves the mathematical and magical roots of ancient astrology. He has spoken at NORWAC, the AA Conference, and the Queer Astrology Conference, and his writing has been featured in The Mountain Astrologer, the NCGR Journal, and the Caeli Review.
