The Astrology of April 2021

Hi everyone, this is Acyuta-bhava from Nightlight Astrology. And today I am taking a look at the astrology of April 2021. So there's a bunch of transits this month that I have my eye on. We're also getting closer to eclipse season that's coming up starting at the end of May. And there's some big changes of the planets moving into new signs this month. So there's lots to cover. I will also be releasing my son and rising sign horoscopes later this week, so you can stay tuned for those. Those will be coming out probably on Wednesday or Thursday, potentially. But anyway, so today, as always, I'm going to cover not every single transit in the universe happening in April, but those that I think are the most important. So I always kind of make a list of everything and then narrow it down from there. And try to focus on what the story of the month is going to be where the big where the big drama is, anyway, okay, you can see the chart on the screen. This is the real time clock, and I'm animating it now.

So the first transit of the month that I have my eye on for April is happening on the third. You're going to going to see on the third that pretty late at night here in Minneapolis anyway, you're going to see that mercury goes into Aries, so the third into the fourth of April. Now the reason that that's a big deal is that Mercury's dignity is improving a great deal getting out of Pisces, and also Mercury is going to be in a mutual reception with Mars in Gemini, while also being in a sextile. That means that mercury Mars stuff is really nicely configured. So what does that mean? Eloquence precision of words and speech, articulate, clever, think on your feet problem solving mental and executive energy. It also means that the potential for there to be a lot of like mental and intellectual combativeness, but for it to be more or less harmonising, and fun, a bit more like a rousing fun debate with a friend where there's more smiles and laughter than you know, baring of teeth and knuckles. So good energy here, good for mobilisation of time, energy and resources, you're just going to find that there's effective strategy in the air, you can get things done, there's a lot of mobility, commerce might be picking up again, if you've been seeing wait times on things in marketplaces, you might see those start to lift and you might see the mobilisation of resources, you know, on the vaccine front for people who are interested in that kind of thing. Trust me, I know there's people out there who aren't. So you could also see between Mercury and Mars, this effective use of technology or new technologies, for example, I am planning under this energy to essentially revamp a few of my databases, that's going to be really a good time for that kind of thing. So watch for that harmonisation of Mercury the mind and Mars the will and and force of action also maybe potential for mental verbal, Kung Fu for a while, but that that energy lasts all the way until the end of April. So the month of April is punctuated all the way until April 23, you have that reception between Mercury and Mars and it's really really nice.

Okay, now if we're moving forward from there, going to the 11th. And on the 11th, you're also gonna see the New Moon coming through right here in Aries. And this New Moon features a square from Venus to Pluto. So the potential for a much more charged like it's like warrior goddess feminine energy, getting right into a tangle with Lord of death and rebirth. So watch for a kind of explosion of of feminine power, a catharsis in relationships and, and potential issues around power in relationships. For example, you can see that Venus and Mars are also in a pretty close sextile with one another that they've just gone through by that time.

So I would look to this as a moment of breakthrough in relationships or a death and rebirth scenario around relationships. Those could be romantic, sexual, they could be friends, they could be colleagues in the workplace, any kind of area in life where there is a question of harmony versus conflict. You're going to see that being addressed and then if there has been a theme of conflict or a bashing of heads, you're going to notice that that changes quite a bit when Venus moves into Taurus, just a few days later on the 14th. Once venus moves into Taurus, that kind of Venus Aries energy is not there as much. It's toned down considerably.

Okay, so what I would say the new moon, in general is that it's really Arien, so it's all about action, and it's all about forward movement, and then you're, it's being toned by this kind of death and rebirth for Venus. So that's gonna, that's going to shape the whole cycle ahead, watch for that to come through on like the 11th. Then again, on the 14th, you're going to see Venus pop into Taurus, where Venus then picks up dignity, and is starting very gradually to emerge as the evening star that's going to take place throughout the rest of April and into early May. But this is a Venus now that's picking up dignity and you're going to get back to a little bit of the normal, more luxurious, relaxed, stable, earthy, sensual Venus as opposed to say, the warrior, crusading Venus, and for most people, that's going to translate into a little less stress and a little bit more ease. So that's the energy shift from Venus around the 14th.

Then, on the 16th, Mars is going to get into a trine with Jupiter, while both Jupiter and Mars are also in sextiles with Mercury and the Sun. Now, if you take this forward just a little bit, you're gonna see that that trine as it's perfecting also happens in the middle of a Mercury Kazemi at the heart of the sun, the last critical degree of Aries. This is some kind of breakthrough, like this is a moment where there is I could see there, there being some kind of heroic effort. And you've got you've got Mars, the God of action, in a very positive relationship with Jupiter, this god that creates cohesion that grants things that gives us the cosmic thumbs up or green light, as I like to say, and that says yes, here's this abundant form of support. So support, action, success, accomplishment, achievement, undertaking big things and getting them done relatively smoothly. And you've got an exalted Sun in Aries, Mars is sign right in the mix, sextiling both so this is just a very productive, strong energy that's coming through. The only advice I would give on the potential negative of this is just hubris, inflation, pride, conceit, arrogance, strong man hero complexes, stuff like that. But otherwise, I think people are going to be getting stuff done around the end of this month. This was one of my top transits for the year. So let's see what happens there.

Now, if we go forward a little bit, and this is what I really focused on in my monthly horoscopes as I was writing them this month, it's the sequence between Venus and Uranus, and then Venus and Saturn. So Venus is going to conjoin Uranus on the 22nd. And then by the 24th, it's going to square Saturn, what you're getting there, and the houses that you're seeing are not important. We're just mixing planets. The thing that you're going to get with Venus Uranus is the need for a revolution or a breakthrough in relationships, around creativity around the body, sensuality, the topic of women or the feminine around friendships and marriages, your sex life, creative or aesthetic revolution. So Venus is seeking greater freedom of expression. And that might be some originality, some disruptiveness you know. It's kind of like the, you know, the picture of my daughter when she you know, she's just waiting to go outside, you finally open the door. And she's just like, she's, she's off. She's just like, Ah, you know, just just hands up just running into the yard. She's so excited to be set free from having to be inside. So whenever it's like time to go out to the playground or something like that. It's very similar to like a, you know, like the energy of a puppy that's out the door, like, Can I you know, just tail wagging? We're gonna go for a walk. Oh, my God, like, Venus is just going to want to break through and then it's going to get checked by Saturn. What are the duties? What are the constraints? What are the limitations? What's the serious mature thing to do here? You know, don't go streaking through your neighbourhood before think about the social consequences of your actions. So on the other hand, Venus could be checked by a controlling, stifling, limiting Saturn, and in which case, there might be a bit of a showdown between creative innovative Venus Uranus and stingy, old Saturn, we'll see. But that transit is the 22nd through the 24th. Now we're right in the middle of there on the 23rd. Mars is going to ingress into Cancer where it is in its fall and will be there in its fall all the way until June 11. That is a difficult place for Mars in Cancer. My kids started swimming lessons under I think the last time Mars was in cancer. So it can speak to like actions and sports in the water or, you know, almost like an emotional dynamism. But it can also speak to things like death, or conflict or hostility in the family, passive aggressiveness, it's like a boiling pot of water.For example, when Mars was in Cancer, I'm a Cancer Sun, Mercury Cancer. I went through a period of time where, you know, I had all of this stuff happening around my home that was difficult, including a big huge hornet's nest that ended up stinging me like a bazillion times on my back. So Mars in Cancer can be the sort of biting stinging, it's a more difficult Mars. Stephen King has it in his first house of health and body, for example. And when he had a big transit to that Mars, he was struck by a van and thrown off the side of a road - not to freak you out. But it can like it is a it can be a more volatile and unhappy Mars. Because what is it dealing with it's it's in the Moon's sign Mars is like I want blood and action, and what the moon is like, well, I'm your host. So let me provide you with children, let me provide you with your home, let me provide you with vulnerable stuff. That mix isn't always easy. On the other hand, sometimes you'll see advocacy for women and children, you'll see the topic of, you know, midwives or raising awareness about public breastfeeding. I mean, I've seen all different kinds of things with Mars in Cancer over the years that are going to be more about action on behalf of or in protection of things that are cancerian, or lunar, which could include feminine things like home, family, etc. Renovation in the home I've seen with Mars in Cancer, so we'll be going over that a lot in depth when it comes up.

Now, if we move it forward, just a bit more, we're going to see on the 26th, another pretty volatile situation here around the full moon. Why because you've got the Moon in its fall in Scorpio with Mars, in its fall in Cancer, there's mutual reception between the two of them, but they're both in their fall, which means there is some ability here to maybe make the best out of something that's challenging emotionally or more confrontational. And the full moon is of course opposing Uranus very disruptive and erratic energy. This full moon I would say is very combustible and potential for you know, turmoil in places that are more vulnerable. And you know, that the stuff that really triggers you or that's more traumatic, or that's has a big history behind it, that it's relative to your, the more vulnerable areas of your life, and intention and conflict emotionally, or outbursts of emotional energy, really, potentially very strong course, that catharsis could create needed changes. And so maybe that's just what the doctor ordered by that time.

Now, by the 30th of the month, the last big transit of the month comes through, and that's going to be a conjunction from the Sun and Uranus. Now that I like I like that transit a lot, even though at the beginning of May, the Sun is immediately going to then hit the square to Saturn. But I still like that as a moment of clarity, a moment of epiphany, a moment of breakthrough. And that's a great way to cap off a month that, you know, can be there's a few patches from that like second half of the month that are a lot dicier. So what a dynamic month though, I mean, you're moving from that huge Mars trine Jupiter with the sextiles to Mercury in the Sun, just like a really bright powerful strong energies, six very successful looking transit. And then you're coming around to like Venus going through all this turmoil, a Full Moon in Scorpio, and that's like Whoo, that's, that's dicey. And that's, that's where I focused on my horoscopes this month, because I think that's going to be the more challenging piece that people should be aware of. And then the Sun conjunct Uranus at the end of the month. It's like the little light bulb that goes off at the end, you've levelled up. So we'll see how the month goes.
