Hey everyone, this is Acyuta-bhava from Nightlight Astrology and today we are going to take a look at Uranus turning retrograde. Now usually I don't spend a lot of time looking at outer planets when they station direct or retrograde because it's kind of a big long process oriented planet spends a lot of time retrograde a lot of time direct. It's not exactly like a Mercury or Venus or Mars retrograde, where I might usually put a lot more attention but one of the reasons that this retrograde is so interesting is because as it's happening, the Mercury and Mars conjunction in Virgo this week that we've been talking about is are both of those planets are hitting trines to Uranus simultaneously. So I just want to take a quick look at this today and give you a few things to think about or to watch for. So I'm going to go ahead and put the real time clock up as always. And let's take a look at Uranus this station first. So here's Uranus in the sign of Taurus, you see a little s in my solar fire programme here. And that S stands for stationing. So if I back this up, you'll see that yesterday: no s today an s tomorrow and so it's turning red. And then the next day a retrograde little RX looks like almost like the prescription label. So between now and Saturday, August 21 Uranus is in the process of stationing to turn retrograde.

One of the things that makes this unique and any retrogrades unique is specifically what's happening at the same time that a planet is turning directions because sometimes that tells a story. Well right now, we've been talking this week if you go back a few videos in the week, I talked about the mercury Mars conjunction in Virgo, and Mercury, Mars conjunction and Virgo happening as they're both hitting trines to Uranus and Taurus. So let's watch how this plays out. If we're watching this today, August 19. Mercury will go through the trine to Uranus literally between today and tomorrow. And then Mars is going to go through the Trine between today and Sunday August 22. So between now and let's just call it Sunday, August 22. Over the next several days, these two planets that have conjoined in earthy Virgo are going to Trine Uranus in earthy Taurus. Now trines are of the nature of Jupiter, which means that they're generally very supportive and usually are a part of building something cohesive or building something that is or building upon something adding to something. So you think of Jupiter you think of blessings, abundance, support, and so forth. So this is a very supportive aspect forming between two planets as Uranus stations retrograde anytime that any planet stations retrograde, there's usually a few meanings one is that the planet is changing directions. And so you can expect to see a change of direction or a change of momentum in whatever area of life that planet is activating either by transit into a whole sign house or you know, by aspect to something in your birth chart. So a change of direction or a change of momentum reversals another way of putting it as reversals, things that have been going one way decided to turn around and go the other way. That happens all the time in life, you think you're doing one thing, and then you decide that I'm going to go back into this other thing. Sometimes it means not just a reversal, but going back to the past somehow, sometimes things that have been given will be taken away. And the reason for that is that the planets moving forward through the Zodiac and I always use this image like gobbling up little degree markers, and like a Pac Man and then it starts going backwards through the Zodiac and as it goes backward, it's like Pac Man regurgitating the little pellets. So sometimes ancient astrologers said that retrograde planets will, you know, take away what they've given previously or it's an indication of something that will have to be given up.

You can also just see swings of Fortune or twists of fate around retrogrades. And I often find that with the outer planets, the reason I don't always mention them is that it can be very subtle. It's not like something that's going to necessarily jump out at you when an outer planet stations unless it is sitting on an angle like the ascendant descendant, the MC or the IC in your chart, or if it were to be stationing to turn retrograde and then immediately say crossing a sign boundary, or potentially stationing to turn retrograde or direct and doing so as it's in a very tight aspect with a natal planet. Otherwise, I don't pay a lot of attention to the outer planetary retrogrades just because again, they're so long and the retrograde is so much more a part of the natural cycle of the natural appearance of an outer planet and in the retrograde for very long periods of time.

So, what we're gonna do now is I just want to I want to because this is such a pivotal turning point, let's talk about what kind of a turning point it could be given that Mercury and Mars are involved. And then let's go back to the real time clock and look at the timeline of Uranus going backward and forward, so that you get a sense of, of where things are heading. So first of all, Mercury when it hits Uranus by a trine and remember, these are the constructive dimensions of mercury Uranus trine. It can provide us with illumination, key or critical insights. Now, these are probably going to be pretty practical and helpful on the ground, because these are earth signs. So one way that you can think about Earth is that water and earth are both the feminine elements, or Yin. And they, they bring things together, they tend to be about the many rather than the one, broadly speaking, they tend to be about relationships between things, but Earth tends to concretize and separate the relationships between things. Or here's a rock, here's a tree, you know, if you think about one example that I've heard many times that I love is, you know, if you think about Earth, when it comes to like a pool of mud, it's very watery, you know, it's like it's not differentiated. If you think about it, kind of getting heated a little bit by the sun or dried out, let's guys should just say dried out, Earth is cold and dry. Think about Earth getting kind of dried, then that mud separates off into pieces. So, when you're thinking about an earthy aspects like this, you're thinking about things that are going to concretize and things that are getting differentiated, sorted out things that might even get mentally or physically organised or clearer right now, the reason that things get clearer is because Mercury is often a planet of insight illumination, and understanding when it hits Uranus kind of an aha moment or a shift of mental energy that could be quite constructive or that could provide you with some momentum if you've been feeling a little stuck. Mercury's trine to Uranus can also provide you with a strategic insight that could loosen or liberate your time or energy or resources. It can be very good for things like commerce or money, your business or technology, breakthrough insights in work or communication exchanges. For example, this is just such a simple one, but Mercury's trine to Uranus and, you know, I found out that I was mispronouncing something and it was just a really helpful thing to understand that something I was saying was being mispronounced. That's a super simple example. But probably it's going to rain, you know, little examples like that for a bit. Or maybe maybe bigger breakthroughs or bigger insights. Certainly, there's been a number of key strategic insights that I've had that leads to Mars, Mercury and Mars paired together. Of course, we talked about earlier this week at length.

Mars trine Uranus can provide you with decisive moments of action, or an incentive changing your reason for acting, or why you're acting in a certain way can change or shift. And you can experience a breakthrough and almost like a rush or a surge of, you know, action oriented energy. And this is all again, earthy, so probably very practical. concretizing helping you differentiate things, helping you know how to manage time, money, energy and resources. And also, this is something that can come in and provide you with the right timing for things. And you know, one of the things that comes with earth signs is often a sense of when it's appropriate to do one thing versus when it's appropriate to do another thing, but almost like an instinctual quality. We always say Earth is like practical, but what we mean by that is also knowing how to do things in what order and sometimes just a shift of priorities can occur under such an aspect.
9:33
But at any rate, you've got Mercury and Mars hitting this trine to Uranus and the reason it can be so powerful is because, again, as Uranus is turning directions, you're looking at the goddess revolution and breakthroughs about to turn retrograde and so there's suddenly a shift or a change of direction that could be quite useful right now, that doesn't mean we might not have to go back and redo something or revisit something or reconsider something. It's almost like I can tell you guys a story. I'm sure you all relate to this. You're in the process of putting a room together, right? You're setting it up, you're arranging the furniture, whatever. And suddenly, something doesn't quite feel right. And suddenly you go, No, this, isn't it. But I know exactly what I need to do now. Okay, well, now I have to redo everything, you know. And it's gonna take a while. Or it's like it Okay, here's the here's a perfect example. Actually, have you guys ever had to pack the family car? The other than always falls to the dad and the dad is probably in some ways least equipped because either the dad's gonna be like, manic Tetris player with the situation or the dad's just gonna be like, you know, throwing everything in and whatever, I guess it depends on what kind of dad do you have. But let's say, you're you're trying to pack the back of your van or something, all this luggage and so forth. And you get to that point where you're like, this needs to go here, aha, and then everything else will work way better. But then you have to take everything out that you've just put in. I would see this moment as something like that. Uranus retrograde is a breakthrough. But it's also a revolution that requires a revision or a shift of direction, a change of how we're looking at something, how we're doing or approaching something. And then Mercury Mars are also they're providing us with this kind of mental and you know, action oriented quality, that's it's very immediate, it's really amplifying what Uranus turning retrograde would mean naturally, but it's sort of sort of putting it on steroids at the moment, because both of those planets together with an exalted Mercury and Mars are it's a powerful conjunction on its own one of the stronger conjunctions of the year. least according to my notes for this year, so. So those are the things to watch for now. Let's take a look at the way that Uranus is playing out or has played out this year and will play out after this particular transit.
12:20
So here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to eliminate everything from the chart except for Uranus, just so that everybody can really see it. Okay, here we go. So we're going to go backward in time, first of all, and let's just show you know how long it's been since Uranus turned direct. So here we are back in January. And in January, Uranus was stationing again, right about January 13. So here's Uranus in the sign of Taurus stationing and it turns direct, right around January 14 into the 15th. of 2021. Okay, so Uranus has been to indirect motions since then. So if you want a timeline, sort of look back to roughly the beginning of this year, and what kind of undertakings you've had, for example, in my own life, this Uranus direct coincided with beginning to look for our home. We were renting initially when we came to Minnesota, and we started looking for a place to live to see you know, settle down and buy a house. Okay, so that that's right, as Uranus is turning direct, we're like, okay, we're moving. We're now we're moving forward with this significant change. And of course I'm a Taurus rising, Uranus in my first house. So it's a very personal place to experience it. And just to give you an outline of what it might look like, you should look at the whole sign house of Taurus in your birth chart to see where the action might be. So Uranus is then going to go forward, up until the present moment where it's turning retrograde. Now how long does the retrograde last? Well, let's take a look at that. So here's Uranus going retrograde. We're going to take this all the way down to about 10 degrees.
14:26
And so Uranus is retrograde is going to come all the way till about January 19. Again, so we're just a little bit further into January than we were last year. And it turns direct right around January 19 into the 20th. So between now and the new year, we're going backward in a sense, and we're you know, you could just think of if Uranus has been bringing different kinds of revolution, breakthrough and insights. Now there's a retrograde and a pulling back and a revisiting revising a shift of momentum a need to maybe integrate and go back over some things. And that will be taking us all the way into the new year. Now again, the best way to figure out what that might mean for you is going to be to look at the whole sign House of Taurus, you know, let's just run through the 12 houses in terms of some keywords, I'm not going to do like a full treatment here. But let's just run through it with, you know, like Aries on the ascendant so forth. If Aries is on the ascendant, if you're an Aries rising, then this is hitting in the house of money and finances. So you can think about those areas being the areas of focus for now, if you're a Taurus rising, then it has a lot to do with self identity, health, body appearance, you know, general questions about identity, go to Gemini rising, then this is the 12th house, which has to do with those things that you know, are sometimes a little unconscious or in our blind spot, as well as things that may be trying to take us off course somehow. So how is Uranus acting as a teacher in the unconscious at the moment, you might think about that if you're a Gemini rising. If you're a Cancer rising, we're looking at groups, friends, communities, if you're a Leo rising, you're thinking about your career work in the world, or what kinds of things you're motivated to do with your life and almost like a from a professional standpoint, if you're a Virgo rising, then this Uranus shift is happening in the ninth house, which is the place of the higher mind, religion, spirituality, long distance, long journeys, or pilgrimages, guiding beliefs. If you're a Libra rising, that this is the eighth house, a place where we exchange deep obligations with other people, other people owe us things we owe them things the place of death and debt and also a place you know, place that can be very much about what what assets or resources other people bring into our lives or other people demand from us. If we're going into Scorpio rising, this is happening in your house of relationships, marriage, sexuality. So watch for the changes there. If you're a Sagittarius rising, this is the sixth house, a place where you're often enduring something, fighting for something dealing with, sometimes with health issues, that the the revolutionary activity here can be about breakthroughs that you have to sort of stomach because there's this is the house that was associated with conflict and misfortune, as well as perseverance and fighting for things that you care about. So Sagittarius dealing with the God of revolution, the house of conflict. If you've got a Capricorn rising, this is happening in the fifth house, which is a place of joy and pleasure, creativity, the arts, children, pregnancy, anything that's an asset or resource that builds joy or happiness in your life, thinking about shifts happening in that house. If you're a an Aquarius, rising, this is happening in the house of home family roots land property. If you're a Pisces rising, this is happening. Finally, last but not least in your third house, which is a place that has a lot to do with your mind, the environment around you, your neighbourhood siblings, that anything that swims around in the environment mentally and emotionally and has some kind of impact on you anything from technology to communication to learning, to thinking to your neighbours or neighbourhood. The third house is called the joy of the moon. It's one of the more difficult houses to describe it can be a little nebulous, but the simplest way to explain it to set it has to do with what's in your, what's in your periphery in the environment, and how it's impacting you especially on the level of mind. So that takes us full circle. So just just kind of a refresher on where Uranus is in your chart right now so that you can make the most out of this video. And then again, just think of Mercury and Mars hitting the trine to that turning Uranus right now and probably providing some really constructive energies and insights but of a shift or change of direction simultaneously especially anchored in that whole sign house I just went through.
