Hey everyone. This is Adam Elenbaas from Nightlight Astrology. Today, we're going to take a look at Venus crossing the south node of the Moon in the sign of Libra and what you can watch for, given this conjunction. So that is our goal for today, and we're going to talk about this as a particularly significant moment for the harvesting or the reaping of what's been sown in our relationships.
This is a very common way of understanding Venus in the south node, in any sign, but especially in Libra, the sign of the balance that is also associated with the harvest. So, reaping what's been sown is sort of a good way of describing what we're looking at with this particular Venus South Node conjunction. Anyhow, that's what we're doing today.
Before we get into it, don't forget to like and subscribe. A few people thought that I should mention this. It is free to subscribe. There's no fee associated with it. I guess some channels are paid, but this is a free one, so it just helps us grow the channel, the community, and our work. So we would appreciate it if you would do so. We're trying to get to 70,000 subscribers. 1000 subscribers. We just crossed 68 as of the time that I'm recording this. So we're getting close.
You can find transcripts of any of these daily talks on the website, nightlight, astrology.com. When you go to the website, I want to point out that our September webinar is coming up on Venus's 12 Love Languages. We're going to be talking about the kinds of stories that we typically see, given the sign placement of Venus in our birth charts, familiar themes, and the kind of story arc of our love life.
Then, in September or October, I'll talk about the myth of astrological compatibility. What does everybody get wrong about astrology? About the astrology of relationships. And I hope that will be helpful for people because there are, I think, a lot of misconceptions out there about how to look at what constitutes a sign of compatibility in astrology. And I think you're going to like that talk too.
Anyhow, the other thing that's coming up is if you go to the course page, our astrology for beginners. The course is there for people who are brand new to astrology. But we also have our first-year course.
This is our one-year class in ancient Hellenistic astrology with a modern archetypal and psychological influence, you might say. But of course, in Hellenistic astrology, that begins in November. So this begins November 16, and enrollment will begin on September 9.
The registration period from September 9 to about October 15 will include a pre-registration sale, and then the normal price after October 15 will be available. We also have need-based tuition, which will be available for everybody starting on September 9.
So, for those of you who've been asking about the first-year course, this next enrollment season begins on September 9, so you will see that opening up next week, and then I'll be promoting it briefly at the beginning of my talks through enrollment season. And we'll have a little informational video that I'll do about the program as well. That'll probably tag on to the end of my programs for a while.
Okay, so on that note, let us now turn our attention to the real-time clock, and we are going to be looking at it. By the way, today's video is very good. I knew what I was going to talk about, but I did not have the time to write things out because we had major storms here in Minneapolis last night, the day that I'm recording this, and we actually lost power.
So my day was spent all my normal morning time spent prepping, researching, kind of centering myself, and creating the content was spent purchasing a generator at Sam's Club and getting that going because they initially told us that it wasn't going to be until almost 24 hours before it was back, and then magically, it came back a couple hours later, after I had spent all morning getting a generator, putting it together, hooking up the refrigerator, and, most importantly, the Bearded Dragons lamps.
Our kids have these bearded dragons, and they need, like, their heat lamps or whatever, and they were, my girls were really concerned, so I went into dad mode this morning, which means I had no time to prep my notes, but I already knew what I wanted to say. So this is just a little bit more off the cuff than usual. So I just wanted to say that in advance, in case it really sucks. Sorry, guys, you just have to deal with it. Okay. Anyway, no, this is going to be good.
So Wednesday, September 4. Here we are today, and you can see I use the mean node; there are the mean and true node measurements. And you know, lately, I've been kind of playing with both. But today, anyhow, the mean node Venus crosses the mean node moons in Libra as well, this early waxing crescent moon phase. And so it's interesting that Venus at the south node is toning this lunar cycle.
We talked about that a little bit in yesterday's video, which I think I accidentally missed, and it was labeled Monday because we did horoscopes on Monday. But I don't know. I've been a little off on some of the details of my talks this week. So, Venus crossing the south node of the Moon is significant because it is the ruler of the South Node, for one thing. And Venus is in her own domicile, and she's very comfortable there. Then, we have some very particular meanings from the south node.
Now, let's go back in time because I want to go back to the early part of March and/or late March. I think it was, yeah, so here we go. So we had a lunar eclipse, you might remember, and this lunar Eclipse took place at about the fifth degree of Libra. This lunar Eclipse was on March 25, 2024. There is a Lunar Eclipse at about the fifth degree of Libra.
So the reason that I'm pointing this out is that this passage of Venus and the south node of the Moon that we're seeing now here on Wednesday, September 4, is happening as the Moon. Let's watch as this plays out. See, the Moon will cross that degree, the fifth degree, which is the Eclipse degree in Libra that happened in late March, and it will cross it at the same time that Venus and the south node are merging.
So that's significant because, in a sense, what it's doing is allowing this crystallization of insight and wisdom that really dates back to that Eclipse. And, of course, the Eclipse itself, the sign of Libra, and the house of Libra in your chart carry a lot of history.
When there are eclipses, nine and 18-year cycles of the nodes return to these places. And so the point is just that this is a very powerful moment. It's a loaded moment that has a lot of history behind it. You might not think so because you're like, ah, Venus in the south node. It lasts only a couple of days. It's happening at the same time that the Moon crosses its Eclipse degree from late March, and it is happening as the ruler of that Eclipse is now back on crossing that degree and crossing the node.
So whether it's a process that has a lot of history, years of history, or it's something that maybe ties back to things that started happening in March, either way, right now, you could see as a moment of reaping what's been sown.
Now, to me, the reaping of what's been sown, given the signification of Venus, starts by looking at relationships and the whole sign house topics of Libra in your birth chart; that would be a very good starting place. Let me give you an example.
So, the sixth house is where Libra is in my birth chart. In late March, we had a change in some of our staff. One of our staff is in the process of moving on to different pursuits. She will finish her employment, which we agreed to, at the end of September. So the point is that as this, the Moon and Venus are crossing one another.
She's finishing up some of her final projects for us that will then mark her moving on to new things. And we're obviously really excited for her. She's been amazing stuff like that. You know, it's a good thing. It's not a bad thing. This is very much Venus in her own rulership, crosses. She's going to be finishing some projects for us to date back to the recognition that she needed to move on to new things that came under the Eclipse in Libra, both in my sixth house and the place of employees. If you own a business, your employees can often be found in the sixth house.
So that, Eclipse led to her giving some notice and us agreeing on an arrangement where she would keep doing work through September. And now, as this is happening, we will see the completion of that work, which is very easy and very simple. And so it can be that simple, and we don't always recognize it because we think we're looking for things like these major things. This is pretty, I would say. This is a pretty simple thing but very cohesive along the timeline that you would expect.
Now, I give that example just to kind of, I don't know, prime the pump for your own delineation. So you can work with this. But start with relationships. That's a working relationship because it lands in my sixth house.
So anything that you know could qualify the type of relationship you'd be looking for would have to do with the whole sign house topics. So start there. You know, first house, it might be about your relationship with yourself, your body, your own health and psychology. The 10th, your employees, and the ninth, may be religious teachers or people in religious or educational settings, right? Like that.
So you go on, and you find the house topics. But the second thing to think about here, aside from the house topics, is just generally that relationships that have been shifting, maybe since March, or maybe even with longer historical patterns connected with them, are now ready to bring forth their harvest.
Sometimes, the harvest with the south node is difficult. The south node has long been associated with those kinds of karmic insights or realizations that come through things like purification or purgation or a little bit of loss, or sometimes the element of mental or emotional suffering. You know, the difficult work that we do turns into gems or jewels of insight, understanding, wisdom, and maybe spiritual growth. So, I think a lot about how Indian astrologers discussed Ketu in ancient astrology, and it was really a planet that could aid us in liberation from karma.
The karmic release is found in the south node, but it often comes through the insights and realizations and the things we have to let go of the lessons we've learned. The wounds were, you know, like licking our wounds, and we're applying salve, and we're moving beyond things that maybe trapped us in the past.
So all those connotations of the South Node suggest that this is a pretty positive moment for reaping what's been sown that some kind of synthesis, some kind of good fortune or benefit, even if it's just clarity, even if it's peace of mind, even if it's a sense of just putting a ribbon around something that's been a little difficult, but now we're coming to a good place, a place of tying up loose ends and letting go of last things and coming to final agreements or paying off debts, and the scales are balanced again.
So you think about karmic debts in relationships as key for Venus in the south. The node crystallized insights around love and the give and take of relationships is thoroughly Libran. So what am I getting? What am I giving? Are they balanced, you know, and in the relationships that we are considering right now? Think again of where this relationship has been since last spring, like late March onward, and how things have continued to evolve.
One other thing that comes to my mind is that Venus can represent women, daughters, friends, and sisters, and Venus can broadly represent your social life and, of course, lovers, so any of those social arenas of life, like what have you been learning there? What? How have you grown, learned, and evolved?
What kinds of crystallized insights are you receiving right now, the result of a karmic process with respect to your social life, your friendships, your working relationships, and the give and take of key relationships in your life? There's also like treasure in the ruler of the South Node coming to the south node. It is as though reaping what's been sown can mean like, okay, there's a lesson, there's a crystallized insight that's come through some work, you know, but also just the blessings or benefits of certain processes that are culminating when planets cross the south node.
It's not just okay. We let go of old baggage, or we have to grow beyond bad habits or something. Those are legitimate interpretations of planets crossing the south node, but potential regressive pulls back into old stuff can come up too, but also especially when benefics cross the south. Node. It's like, you know. It's like an unexpected package is delivered to your door. And it's fortunate, especially at beneficence, that she rules her own sign crossing the south node. It's like, you know, congratulations, you know. What was that? What was that thing when I was a kid, the publisher's clearing house? Is that? What it was? Do you guys remember that? Oh my gosh.
Anyway, so yeah, the unexpected good fortune of Venus in the south, no, there's, there's stuff that's coming up in the garden. And it's tasty. Look, there are berries there, you know, like, if you like tomatoes, there are tomatoes. The beautiful harvest that's coming in right now with respect to the way we've grown, developed, and evolved, probably in some kind of social context, social-relational context, and it's paying off. We're seeing something bear fruit, and that is one of the most exciting and positive significations.
But remember, a lunar eclipse in this sign also suggests the lunar Eclipse, especially with the South Node, suggests big events that come up as a matter of the culmination of old material, and a lot of that is going to imply the difficult Insights and work of making sure that relationships are balanced and intelligent and fair and that they're they're, they're they're not superficial. They're real, but they're also boundaried. Remember, Venus and Saturn are the co-rulers of Libra.
So this suggests a maturing in some social dimension or in a particular relationship in our lives. I can't help but notice that at the same time that Venus and the south node are crossing and the Moon's hitting the Eclipse point, all on this day, we also have Mars ingressing into Cancer, the place that Mars is in its fall, and a place where Mars will sometimes bring up family drama.
And so isn't it interesting that there's a little bit of a signature of emotional strife or division or intensity, and potentially around relationships with family members, and the sign of Cancer for Mars, often something that comes up at the same time that we see this kind of moment of beneficial or beneficial what am I trying to say?
Sorry, it is a beneficial connection for Venus in the South Node in Libra. So it's sort of like there's this way in which we're tidying up some things in our lives and our relationships. And just as that happens, Mars gets a little perturbed by the sign of cancer. It's like not, you know, we can't please everybody. I wouldn't be surprised if the place we're coming to, the conclusions we're arriving at in various relationships, choices we're making in various relationships, insights we've gathered or gained, the harvest that's coming in is immediately connected to some level of antagonism or emotional turmoil at home or in the family. When we grow, our insight and our relationships change because we are also members of other constellated groups of social groups, families, communities, etc.
It is often the case that those insights and moments of growth or greater maturity in one relationship have a kind of ripple effect, sometimes unconsciously, through the other constellations of relationships in our lives. So don't be surprised if you know, as you're kind of moving across a finish line with Venus in the south node, that it immediately triggers some kind of intense focus on the Cancerian dimension, so more vulnerable emotionally, you know, emotionally tender places.
Um, okay, so those are my insights for today. No notes. Sorry, it's a little bit rambling, but just looking here, you know, the other thing that also comes to my mind is Libra, which has so much to do with judgment and evaluation. And there's this, you know, age-old teaching that you know, Judge not lest you be judged, right? Or treat other people as you would like to be treated. You know, this kind of thing.
And so I also wonder if this isn't a moment of insight into how we've treated other people and how they've treated us and a reflection on what is the. The right way to coexist with other people, and is there some opportunity here for greater reflection or learning in terms of how we value and care for the people we're in relationships with, even if those relationships are not as personal, if they're more transactional, a lot of work relationships are more transactional, they're functional, but still some greater awareness of the care and decency and respect that is needed for all kinds of relationships to work that comes to mind with this kind of Libran reaping of what's been sown with the lunar Eclipse in the background. Okay, done for the day. We'll see you again tomorrow. Bye.

Laughing at your comment about not having all of your notes and hoping it doesn’t suck. Trust me, it didn’t lol
