Hi everyone, this is Acyuta-bhava from Nightlight Astrology. Happy Monday. Today we're going to take a look at Venus's opposition to Mars, and some other transits that are coming up this week. But before I dive into that, I want to remind you all that my new class, Ancient Astrology for the Modern Mystic starts on Saturday. So if you haven't checked it out already, you can check it out on my website, under the courses page is the first year course. This is a one year programme in Hellenistic astrology. It's a great course for people who are looking for a way to go deeper with your love or interest in astrology and a really structured, guided format, you can take it remotely or you can participate live in the webinars each week. We meet on Saturday starting this coming Saturday, and usually for two to three hours. And we also there's 30 classes on the year plus 12 guest lectures that come in and give talks on the year. And we also have breakout study sessions. There's a forum group where we unpack what we're learning in class, there's optional bonus material and homework and optional quizzes and reading and things like that. So it's structured for people who want to get really, really serious, or for people who are just looking to, you know, just immerse themselves in astrology a little bit more just for the sake of a personal hobby or interest. So I'm really excited about this class. And there's also a variety of different payment options that we offer, we have need based tuition for people who are struggling due to COVID. So you can check that out, or a variety of other circumstances that might make it more difficult to afford an astrology course we try to make the course really accessible. So you can check those options out early bird rates good until this Saturday, so you have up until the start of class to save $500 off with the early bird rate. There's also payment plans if you need it. So if you have any questions, feel free to email me info@nightlightastrology.com.

Now what we're seeing in the sky is a pretty big event because of what Mars is about to do. You see Venus is opposing Mars right now from Libra to Mars in Aries. But what's about to happen is Mars is about to turn direct after a very long retrograde so if we pull this forward just a little bit, you're gonna see the New Moon comes through about the 14th into the 15th Mars turns direct. We have about a week long transition for Mars in front of us and Mars is slowing down its motion right now. Venus' opposition to Mars is the peak of a struggle between Venus and Mars qualities that can play out in a myriad number of different ways. It can manifest so diversely from each individual person and their chart to the next.
2:52
Here's some of the big things you can watch for. Venus is representative of everything that is more harmonious, peaceful, agreeable, pleasant. It's about compromise and resolution. And it's about fairness and balance. On the other hand, we have Mars. Mars is not a bad planet, but of the more difficult themes that Mars brings, we have things like war, conflict, aggression, hostility, tends to be a little bit more on the "My will in my way," kind of path. Mars is also very individual, as opposed to Venus, which is more cooperative, and interpersonal. And so there's also a dynamic right now, you could say between compromise and, my way or the highway. And that's not to say that my way or my will or the highway is always bad. Sometimes asserting ourselves is a necessary part of life, right? And sometimes, you know, taking a stand or demonstrating courage, or having to be competitive, and things like that, Mars themes, in other words are a healthy part of life. But one thing to notice is that as Venus pushes through this opposition, Venus is going to start going into the superior side of the circle relative to Mars, which is to say that Venus' aspects will start to become dominant over Mars as the Venus transits progress sign to sign.
4:30
So from this moment forward, you can really think right now that Venus has a dominant role to play. Venus is going to work things out smoothly, or the principle of harmony, agreement, balance, fairness, considerations of other people and their needs, along with our own. Those principles of Venus are certainly in the more powerful position right now. And you can also see that the is going to move into squares with Jupiter, Pluto, and Saturn. Now, those are also superior squares that Venus has, which means that they overcome those planets, Venus will overcome those planets. And you can see that this starts to happen, really by about the end of this week by Saturday, Sunday, and then it goes all the way through the square to Saturn by about November 20. So we have about 10 or 11 days in front of us where Venus is, is in this position of having to grapple with Mars, first to the opposition, and then a bunch of planets and Saturn's sign with Saturn as the leader of the pack. So Venus is overcoming Mars and overcoming Saturn. That's important because remember, Mars and Saturn have been in a dynamic with one another since late June. So a process that began, you know, sometime maybe in the brown the middle of the summer, really, that's been slow, that's required perseverance and work where there may be limitations or frustrations is likely going to turn a significant corner here by you know, probably at least another 10 or 11 days that Venus is going to be working through these things. But again, Venus does have the upper hand here. So what does that mean? For us right now it means that we should allow for Venus to have voice in our lives. In other words, compromise, peace, fairness, balance of our will our desires with those of other people, it's certainly going to be tempting with Mars, really slow and still retrograde in the next few days to get involved in showdowns or fights or confrontations, and struggles or battles of will, especially with people who are very set in to something, that's the Saturn presence here as well. But Venus does, again, gradually overcome through the superior square. So I also recommend patience and trusting that the the peaceful and fair minded approach right now will take you further.

Now, I think what's interesting about this, and you guys have heard me say this a bunch already, because I've gone over this transit quite a few times, but it's a really critical period of our year. when we do this, there is going to be the incentive to to act and to take action and there will be a kind of a turnaround, where if there's been a long period of frustration or some stalemates in our life, you're going to notice that everything starts turning a corner, and that the will and the power and the strength to make some kind of significant turnaround comes very soon as the new Moon right around the 14th, which we'll be looking at, you know, at the end of this week, that new Moon features the Mars in Aries turning direct. In other words, we're going to start to get a real Mars like theme, but it's a much healthier Mars now. Mars that in some ways has been overcome and had Venus impressed upon it. But there's still going to be the need to take strong action and the the will and power of Mars still has a lot to say before the end of the year.

As we get into December, something really interesting happens. This will be something that we talk about a bunch in the next month or so. By about the 17th, you're going to see Saturn, enter Aquarius, right. And right as that happens, Jupiter is also going to enter Aquarius, so the two come together. And then the very next thing that happens, almost immediately within a couple of days, right as Jupiter and Saturn are conjoining on December 21, the winter solstice. Oh look, Mars is going to square Pluto. So the turning point that we're hitting, while it comes through Venus sort of prevailing, it immediately initiates a period of renewed vigour and action that will bring lead to a very culminating and powerful moment around December 21, the Winter Solstice, Summer Solstice if you're in the southern hemisphere, but that moment is so powerful because you've got this really sort of auspicious and also rare configuration of Jupiter and Saturn conjoining in a new sign. Jupiter's getting out of its fall. As that happens, though, there's that massive catharsis of Mars and Pluto, right, that's no joke. And if you want to take it a little further, just to see how strong Mars is going to become that there's there's big actions to take as a result of what's happening right now, eventually.
9:56
When we go into the new year, what you're going to see Mars is going to square Saturn, square Jupiter, and go into a conjunction with Uranus. And that conjunction with Uranus happens around the middle of January. And this is right on Inauguration Day, by the way, January 20. If I remember correctly, Mars, Uranus conjunction. So it's a very, very powerful moment. We've got Mars, Uranus, and in a square with Saturn and Jupiter. But all of this is just to say if we go back to the current moment, that Venus prevails right now, but then Venus prevailing leads to this very powerful series of initiatives and steps that are being taken. And it culminates in this very powerful catharsis, right around the Winter Solstice. So it's, we're going to track this out little by little and start to try to piece together what this is looking like. But I want to give you guys previews right now, because there are so many epic changes in the next two months, including eclipses coming at the end of this month. So a lot to keep our eye on. In the meantime, again, focusing today, if you're in a battle of the sexes, if you're having interpersonal conflicts, if you are getting, you know, dragged into conversations that feel like you know, someone's got a win and someone's got to lose. All I can say is have patience with the tension that you may be feeling right now. And notice that in the next couple of days, as Venus starts releasing from the opposition, that peace will likely prevail and cooler heads will also prevail in general right now, I think. So. That's my advice. But I would love to hear your stories and how you're noticing Venus's opposition to Mars. It's also a very erotic tension. Mars is not just about conflict, it's also about the tango and the kind of erotic tension between the masculine and feminine, the yin and the yang. And that can be that can yield really like amazing creative results as well. But we are dealing with a Mars retrograde who's slowing down. And there's the sense of Venus prevailing over something that then shifts the mood and sort of tenor of Mars, which then by the next new Moon cycle, we've got Mars, going forward with something very brand new.
12:53
I'll just give you one personal story so that you can see, you know, how this might work. So I had a client recently, who is going through something, and I have permission to share the story, they're going through something in the workplace where they're in a showdown with a fellow employee. And it's likely that they will have resolution with this conflict, like very soon and she's expecting that probably the fair resolution that she's hoping for will come to pass because the feedback she's been getting is that this other person is who is being very demanding isn't likely to sort of prevail in this mediation that's happening. How Venus Mars is that first of all, right? But then, if indeed, this takes place, this this resolution, the mediation she's hoping will provide, then it's very likely that within the next couple of weeks, that this new project will begin in her workplace because of the way that this conflict is being resolved. And this is all of course, you can imagine this is something that's happening in on a management level, right of a mid-sized company. So she asked me when she came to me and this last week was was like, where do you see this going? And I was like, Well, I mean, it sounds very much in line with what you're hoping for, which is that there's this kind of resolution that's really fair for both sides. All indications are that that's what will happen, but based on the resolution that's reached and that that resolution fuels a very strong and sudden turn. Another way of putting it would be like let's say you break up with somebody and you know, it just comes to a place where it's like you can't do it anymore. And so there's there's a breakup maybe that's like a Venus Mars opposition. As soon as there's a breakup, you get that instant rush of like, "Oh my god, now I can do all of these things that I know that I need to do that I've been putting off that I haven't been doing because of how much I've been burdened by, you know, the relationship." So oftentimes, when a conflict is resolved, or relationship is parted, or that kind of climax comes, it immediately provides the incentive for a new series of actions. That's the most general way in which I'm looking at this right now. I hope that makes sense. So anyway, there's lots of other possibilities. So I'd love to hear your stories and hear how you're dealing with the Venus Mars opposition this week. So please feel free to leave those in the comment section. Again, don't forget that my new class starts on Saturday. Check it out on the website, nightlightastrology.com any questions, email me info@nightlightastrology.com. We will be getting back together again this week to unpack the upcoming new Moon to unpack Mars turning direct, and some other transits that are coming through as well. So we'll keep exploring these and your feedback is really important. The stories that you share in the comment section are always helping me sort of shape and get a sense of how people are meeting this out in the world right now. So please do share. All right, take it easy, everyone. We'll see you again soon. Bye.
