Today, we will look at Venus's upcoming square to Neptune happening over the weekend, right before it enters the sign of Cancer. Interestingly, Venus will square Neptune in Pisces and immediately enter another water sign. It's as though a watery shift is about to happen for Venus, and today, we're going to track that and tell you what to watch for. Given this shift, I've got five things for you to watch that I think you'll find interesting and applicable as the transit comes through over the weekend.

Hey everyone, this is Adam Elenbaas from Nightlight Astrology. Today, we're going to take a look at Venus's upcoming square to Neptune, which is happening over the weekend, right before Venus enters the sign of Cancer. So it is interesting that Venus is going to square Neptune in the watery sign of Pisces and then, immediately after that square, will enter a water sign herself. It's as though there is a little lottery shift about to happen for Venus.
Today we're going to track that and tell you what to watch for. I've got five things for you to watch for today, given the shift that I think you will find interesting and hopefully will be applicable as the transit comes through over the weekend. That's our goal for today.

But otherwise, you are more than welcome to join. And I really hope to see all of you guys at the 12th house webinar this evening.
I put a lot of TLC into the development of this talk because I think that there is so much to be learned from the 12th house in our birth chart. So we're gonna be talking about the specific combination of your rising sign with the 12th House sign. The juxtaposition of those two signs will offer us a lot of insight as to that kind of unconscious spot that we all have that we work with in the 12th house. So anyway, hope to see you then tonight.
So today, let's take a look at the real-time clock because we are dealing with a significant shift coming from Venus this weekend. And I always like Venus Neptune transits. I always feel like they make for my favorite date nights with my wife. Let's see here. Usually, I feel like we always end up doing something kind of creative, or we went dancing one time we went to like this place that had all these different saunas and like hot and cold plunges, and that was a very Venus-Neptune experience, so it's always I feel like there's there are some things you have to watch for with any transit but Venus Neptune I feel like for the lovers, the creatives, the Romantics can be such a nice transit. But anyway, before I go on about it, let's see what's happening.
So here you will see, as we're coming in over the weekend, Venus is entering the three-degree engagement engagement range with Neptune in Pisces that takes place Friday, June 14, and then Venus will go through the exact square on Sunday into Monday. And by Monday at 11 in the morning. Venus is already in the sign of Cancer and going through a conjunction with Mercury in Cancer.
So we're going to see Mercury come through the same square with Neptune. And I'm going to be talking a little bit more about that. But today, I'm just focused on Venus. So Venus is square to Neptune. I mean, on one level, it's sort of like, you can't just chuck out the fact that Mercury is moving through the conjunction with Venus simultaneous square to Neptune, but I'm actually going to cover that in a separate video to round out the week tomorrow.
Today, I just want to focus on this transition from Venus because I think it's significant. Neptune is in the sign of Venus as exultation in Pisces. Venus is hitting watery Neptune and then transitioning into a water sign in Cancer. And I think that shift is worth focusing on. Just putting it in a little bit of a vacuum for today.
Anyway, so this change will happen Sunday into Monday for the most part, so you'll be feeling it building up over the weekend and any of the things we talked about today would be applicable over the next three Three days or so. So Friday, Saturday, Sunday through the 16th into the 17th is when you'll really feel it here in June.
All right, so there are five things to watch for, given this combination of Venus hitting Neptune from Gemini to Pisces and then immediately moving into a water sign.
The first thing I want to talk about is a shift. For Venus from air to water. Venus has been in Gemini for a while; Venus went through her cazimi and rebirth in Gemini, Venus hit a conjunction with Jupiter at the very end of Taurus, and then both of them moved into Gemini, and we just had this flurry of activity in the airy sign of Gemini in the past weeks.
So, for me, Venus is moving from a realm that is communicative, social, intellectual, and somewhat ideological. It's a place of great social stimulation and, to a certain extent, of sort of flirtation and magic and playfulness. Venus in Gemini is the incredibly playful spot for Venus, but it's also very, there's a lot of the stimulation of Venus, and Geminis is very much intellectual, communicative, verbal, and mental; it's the nervous system getting stimulated. And if you like that, then it's fine. It's kind of like, you know, getting your coffee buzz, you know, a shift from air to water though is interesting, because this is culminating Venus at that anaretic degree of Gemini hitting Neptune in Pisces, a water sign where Venus is exalted, and then immediately moving into Cancer.
To me, that means that everything Venusian relationships, love, sensuality, art, creativity, everything is shifting into a far less conceptual mental space and into a much more emotional instinctual place, the body, the intelligence of the body, the emotions, the feelings, the sort of senses of the mind as it is located in the body. Not so much the mind as it is sort of its own little unit detached from the body, that sense of airiness. It's a little bit more dissociative. This is the wisdom of the body, the wisdom of the body, in relationships, living in an ecological reality, where we're connected to other living organisms, and we respond where it's like a little Venus and Cancers like a mood ring.
That's like the octopus that changes colors. And so, to me, what's happening here is as Venus culminates in an Air sign, there's something happening that's making us shift from a little bit more detached, sort of cerebral place into a more instinctual, embodied sensual, emotional space. And all I would say is that if you do nothing this weekend other than watch for that shift from air to water, it may be just within your relationships, or within your body, or with respect to what feels right or what feels, what provides happiness right now such a Venus topic what makes us feel joyful or at ease or happier in flow.
Venus is shifting. She's telling us now I want water; now I want to focus on water. And I think that's being prompted by the square to Neptune in Pisces. Consider some vaster, bigger emotional reality and shift from air to water, please. So watch for that. That's the first thing.
Number two is that we still do have a square from Venus and an air sign to Neptune in Pisces. To me, this means that there's a very playful, otherworldly, romantic, flirtatious quality in the air this weekend that I think you could have a lot of fun with. Is it gonna show up that way for everybody? No. I'll mention some of the shadow sides in a minute, but I do believe that Venus in Gemini likes to play games.
Venus in Gemini as multiple flexible, curious, adaptable, flirtatious, fun, outgoing, and curious; naturally, Venus is saying open my mind; show me some new things that could be enjoyable, and it's also about opening ourselves to new dimensions of one another in our relationships there are so many layers and levels to who we are what about those that I haven't seen from you yet? What about those of you who haven't seen me?
I'm curious; I'm interested; let's play open my mind take me into another world great for you know again like if you're just looking for a good time to plan a date night, I would say Venus-Neptune could be a fun look for a Venus Neptune environment like I said like go to a spa. Or, you know, have, maybe you have a game night or something like that. Where you go to the movies, Neptune, I feel like this could be a good rom-com dinner and a movie night, just something so simple, but still. Venus in Gemini, squaring Neptune in Pisces, says make me think a little differently about you, and I want you to think a little bit differently about me.
Let's play, let's explore. Let's talk, let's be stimulated, let's be turned on by our intelligence and by the thoughtful, fun banter that we exchange. And let's have an out-of-body experience together, right? It's that kind of energy. So, I think that's one of the best and most positive ways you could think about this connection over the weekend.
Three would be that Venus in an Air sign, hitting Neptune in Pisces could be about rationalizing our needs. Sometimes, the best thing about Venus in an Air sign is that she can say, here's what I like; here's what I enjoy. Here's what I find pleasurable. Here's what I find beautiful. Here's what I find, distasteful or ugly, all things that Venus rules, our taste of what we find pleasant versus obnoxious. And what goes with that is usually some sense of not only what I prefer or what I like, which is the territory of Venus. But as Venus moves into the square with Neptune in Pisces water sign, then into Cancer, which has so much to do with our emotional needs in the sign of the moon. It could be that Venus in Gemini has the ability to clearly, thoughtfully, intellectually, sort of objectively articulate, here's what I like, here's what I don't like, here's what I need, here's what I don't need. And that that can represent a nice shift. It's as though, you know, sometimes it's hard to put into words what we desire, or what we want, or what we like, or what we don't like.
You may find that you're able to convey deep needs, longings, desires, fantasies, wishes, and hopes, and you're able to find some words to put around them and to articulate the things you longed for or that you need. I think that would be one really nice way of putting this in, as Venus in Gemini is able to gain some communicative power in expressing her likes or dislikes, as well as her needs or pleasures.
Now, I would say, for example, if you're in a relationship, one of the things I read an article this was, I don't know, maybe a couple of years ago, now, I read an article, and it was, you know, like, something that okay, I think about a lot, I'm just like, I'm realizing I'm about to share something that's maybe a little vulnerable. I have two girls, right. So I'm thinking a lot about, you know, how are they going to grow up and, and I was reading something that said, like, you know, this is the kind of thing that if you don't do now with young girls, as a parent, they may struggle with later.
And one of the things is that they were there was study or something that was like, you know, women may have a lot harder time articulating to a lover or a partner what they need or want, whether that's emotionally or sexually, even if they're not encouraged to articulate what they want and need, and that it's not offensive or inappropriate for girls to have needs, wants desires and be assertive about them. It's kind of like, Don't encourage your little girls to be passive was sort of the gist of it.
But here's what I love about this is when Venus in Gemini hits Neptune in Pisces, you can imagine, let's I'm just thinking of, like, a young person who's able to articulate to their lover who, actually if you do this, this is actually what makes me feel the best. And you can imagine the amount of fear, hesitancy, or inhibition, right? It's like, oh, God, can I say this? Will it sound selfish? Will it sound like I don't know what, but off in some way to articulate to someone what I need, or what actually gives me pleasure, but being able to, like communicate or talk about what gives pleasure and for someone or other people to, to listen and to hear and to respond? It's a very Venus Neptune kind of dynamic, especially when Venus is in that mercurial sign of Gemini where she couldn't really say it, you know.
Now, the other thing that could be problematic here is that there's a way in which Venus in Gemini hitting a square to Neptune in Pisces and then moving into Venus in Cancer, meaning to actually rely less on the intellect and sort of stop dissociating from the body, the desires, the needs, the fantasies, the wishes that are more instinctual, and really can't be contained by the rational or the intellectual.
It's sort of like you've also probably been out on a date with someone, and they can't stop talking about all of their things, what they need and don't need, their problems, and their traumas. And not that those aren't all real, right, but it's like, at a certain point, just like, let your body and body language and let a subtler form of communication convey these things. Because if you overtalk them, you know, it's almost like there's a level at which we just need to sort things out with our bodies and with our emotions. I think, for example, of Okay, so when we first got Hilda, the rescue docking car, down there, she heard the garage door open, so she was alert.
When we first got her. She was really anxious and traumatized. We had a trainer who came over to help us with some of the anxiety because she had been through a lot as a rescue dog. And one of the things he said was he was because I was like, just sort of being overly anxious myself in dealing with her anxiety like, Oh, it's okay. It's okay.
You know, you've been through something like that. And he was like, I see what you're doing, but I want you to try this. Instead of trying to be a calming presence, which actually is having you, you're ramping up your energy and sort of overstimulating her by coddling with so much verbal energy. And he was like, just calm down, just be really calm around her. And just, if you relax, chill, relax. And it was such a shift for me. And I was like, gosh, you know, this reminds me. I was like, in my early 20s, you know, and I thought, Look, when I'm dating someone, I've got to get all of the baggage out on the table right away; we've got to just get it all out, talk about it be really honest. And, and this is like what, you know, this is how you let someone know that you're serious.
And obviously, as I remember, you know, meeting my wife, and thank God, I went through my 20s. You know, it's like, we have time, there's time for this stuff to come out. And, you can feel things, and there's a lot to be said for letting things emerge in the kind of in-between spaces of life. You don't need to verbalize every single thought that's in your head. You don't need to talk through every single thing you've been through. You don't need to explain every single thing you feel.
So there could be a way in which Venus in Gemini squaring Neptune in Pisces is like just letting go of the obsessive, anxious self-reflective stuff; just letting the healing happen by calmly entering into your body. That's hard, especially when there's trauma, and one of the easiest ways to deal with trauma is to be smart or to be interesting or to be witty, you know? So anyway, watch for that combination.
And now, let's go on to number four. What sacrifice do we require right now? So, if you think about Venus, Venus is a week now to me. Mars is more of the me, generally speaking. There are exceptions to any archetype that can shift depending on context. But Venus likes the wheeze if it's us, a married couple, a dating couple, or a friendship. Whatever the case might be. Neptune often requires greater emotional sacrifice and union union or unity.
Emotionally speaking, with Venus in Gemini hitting that square to Neptune in Pisces and then entering Cancer as a water sign, we might be looking at an emotional sacrifice. How do we serve? How do we reach out of ourselves and join in through empathy, compassion, tenderness, and nurturing? How do we ask for that or receive it if we need to? But maybe a broader way of putting this is just what sacrifices are required on behalf of the web, and then we could be a relationship or several other things in your life. But look at that right now.
Then, number five, Venus square, Neptune always invites us to look at potential illusions, fantasies, longings, and the need to surrender to the way things are versus the perfect world that we will never reach that kind of impossible yearning for the divine.
Venus square, Neptune will also ask us to just square up to the reality of things versus the way we long or wish or fantasize that they are. Illusions, fantasies, intoxication, escapism, deception, not seeing things clearly, always gotta be a little careful of that with Venus Neptune, but I like to be free. I stand for Neptune as something other than just intoxication, illusion, and escape because it's just that sometimes Neptune correlates with those experiences or themes. And too frequently, you just get Neptune.
Neptune is just an unreliable dreamer who's coughing on a beverage of complete fantasy, you know, and as soon as we do that, it's just sort of, it sort of kills the this beautiful, imaginative, otherworldly energy that Neptune embodies. Alright, that is it for now. If you stick around, you can learn more about the upcoming horary program, which I've tagged as an informational video. I hope you guys will attend the webinar tonight on the 12th house. You can learn more about that on the website nightlight astrology.com.
