Mars is just separating from its square to Uranus but very much still active today, and meanwhile, Venus is trine to Jupiter.
Here’s what to watch for:
With Venus/Jupiter be careful of…
* Expensive taste
* Spending too much
* Overindulging
* Saying too much
* Overpromising
* Over committing
* Gossip or overstating something
On the other hand, Venus/Jupiter brings..
* Good news
* New relationships
* Opportunities for business
* Growth and blessings
* Support and green lights
* The blessing or approval of someone in charge
* A windfall or unexpected source of support
* Allies and friends or benefactors
Remember that trines and sextiles are supportive, but they can also keep us stuck in the same old patterns, by enabling something. Everyone loves a good Venus/Jupiter trine, but the truth is that not everything we prefer is truly better for us than the experiences we do not prefer. With this in mind, be careful with this supportive aspect today and tomorrow!
On the other hand, Mars and Uranus are just now separating. Yesterday I mentioned that Mars/Uranus might show up in relationship to things breaking containment, perhaps involving water. Late yesterday afternoon I went outside to find that we had left the gardening hose on while filling a little fish pond. The entire area was totally flooded! I share this story to illustrate just how simple the astrological forecasts can be. So for as much as Mars/Uranus might be the sudden or unexpected breakthrough or impulsive action…it can also be very simple and mundane. Another example, a few days ago I was in an impatient mood and complaining to myself about something and accidentally spilled boiling water on my hand. Thankfully it wasn’t a bad burn, but again the astrological forecasts are sometimes surprisingly simple and mundane…burnt hands and flooded yard variety stuff! So if you’re a student of astrology, or a regular reader, keep your eyes open for the simple as well as the big events related to these transits.
Another example, as Venus trines Jupiter, yesterday I went on a small shopping spree with some gift cards I received for my birthday. So, literally, as Venus is closing in on the trine to Jupiter, I went shopping (which is fairly rare for me).
Why shouldn’t the simple astrology matter as much as the big, personal changes we experience? The truth is that it’s much more difficult to locate and connect to the divine in the small things, and yet most of life involves the small things. So, the challenge for the day is to see if you can notice Mars/Uranus or Venus/Jupiter in something simple. If and when you do, please feel free to come back here and post your story.
Sometimes astrology is so “big” that we start thinking of ourselves as bigger than we ought to be, bigger than necessary, bigger than what supports peace, which is found in the big and small alike.
Prayer: Surprise us with your attention to the little things, as well as the big.
