The Moon is in Aries today, moving toward a trine of Saturn by later this afternoon into early evening.
I’m always fascinated by the way Moon trine Saturn days play out symbolically. I almost always find myself getting things done, coming to terms with basic truths that I might normally feel resistant to, implementing some form of organizational structure, or completing an important stage of a process.
Other times I will feel lazy and without motivation but the overall effect will help me to slow down and relax, delegate, or trust that non-action will lead to positive results….nothing ends up being lost.
Since the Moon is in Mars’ sign and the two planets aren’t seeing each other it’s also possible that there is a generally ineffective aura to our actions today, which might feel frustrating for the Aries moon. Yet, as the Moon trines Saturn and Saturn is still being overcome by the superior square from his ruler Jupiter, today has the feeling of things not working specifically so that someone with more power or authority or resources or ability might see the reality of a situation and be more inclined to step in and help out…if not now then perhaps sometime down the road.
After all, the Moon will move from Saturn directly toward Venus, and Venus is moving to her square of Jupiter. So my sense is that whatever is happening today that doesn’t work properly…or whatever blocks come up…the higher power is watching and it’s likely that help will come as a result. In the meantime, having patience will be important as it demonstrates that we are worthy of receiving whatever help is most necessary.
We’ll see what happens!
Meanwhile, Mercury is now combust again, though separating from the Sun rather than applying to it.
A number of people were asking me how the Cazimi symbolism played out for me yesterday. As I had mentioned important communications from people in power or authority, and earlier I had mentioned the audience of the King…granting some special power or privilege or indicating some special reception. I had two older astrologers (people I would consider elders in my field) who are long time students of James Hillman’s work contact me to say “good work” on my Hillman article in TMA. These feel like fantastic new connections, and both connections were made via very warm emails yesterday during the Cazimi. For someone who is much younger in my career, this was very exciting and very much felt like the Cazimi symbolism…”welcomed by the king.”
If only Hillman himself were still alive–I’d love to know his thoughts too!
That’s it for today. Have a great Friday!
Prayer: Patience isn’t just a virtue–it’s also a performance for the higher powers, who say yes or no, or what and how long, based on the test of our patience
