Hey, everyone. This is Adam Elenbaas from Nightlight Astrology [https://nightlightastrology.com/]. Happy Friday, everybody. Mars has just entered the sign of Leo, where it will soon be making an opposition to Pluto. Of course, the sun is going to enter Taurus and create a te square. We've been talking about this dynamic for a good portion of this week's astrology.
So today we're going to do horoscopes for all 12 signs, and I'm going to have three guiding questions that you can consider and then apply it to the topics of the house that Mars has just entered, where it will be making the opposition to Pluto from. So I think this is going to be a unique and helpful way of looking at it. It will not be the only way that we look at it. There will be more coverage in the next couple of weeks.
I'm also doing a live stream on the 24th of April. So I'll be talking about Mars opposite Pluto in that live stream, and doing some live birth chart readings as well. So lots to look forward to beyond today's content. Anyway, before we take a look at these Mars and Leo horoscopes, remember to like and subscribe. It helps the channel to grow. Make this one of the places of your spiritual practice every day.
I like to think of this channel as having a lot of subscribers for whom astrology is a part of your daily spiritual practice. So, you know, subscribe and make this part of your spiritual routine. You can find transcripts of any of these daily talks on the website, which is Nightlight astrology.com, and I'm going to take you over there, because we are now in the midst of enrollment season.

And at the end of today's video, after I sign off, there is an informational video that tells you everything the program includes.
I show you what the class website and portal looks like, where we house all of the audio, video downloads. The course is held via live webinars. So there are 30 classes on the year. They're each two to three hours. I lead all of them. Then in between major units of study, there are breakout tutoring sessions led by our staff, and then there's a huge abundance of optional homework and reading and bonus material you can utilize, and a great community forum that is also staffed with tutors you can ask questions in year round.
This program is represents the heart of my work. This is my absolute best curriculum that I have to offer. We have been making sure that astrology is affordable for people through these kinds of services for, you know, going on 15 years now. So yeah, it's, it's always, it's always nice to know that there's not a limit to if someone really wants to study, then we can find a budget friendly option for you. So anyway, on that note, let's turn our attention over to the real time clock and take a look at this.
Mars has just entered Leo, um, out of cancer. Here it is. We're finally there. Let's back this up just a little bit. The real time clock is showing Mars and Mars and Leo, but it was just recently at that 29th anaretic degree of cancer. You might have seen the fireworks of that the past couple of days, but as of about what my time it would have been, you know, by around midnight last night that Mars moved into Leo, that's Central time.
So, you know, it's a little subjective, but we're now on April 18. We're now in a new era. We are no longer in the Mars in Cancer era, and he'd like to think like, oh, we should celebrate. That was a tough transit for a lot of us. That was challenging. Maybe we learned a lot, but, you know, probably some real challenges during that Mars Retrograde.
But Mars is immediately going into an opposition with Pluto, so we're not out of the woods yet. And remember, the retrograde began around the opposition of Mars and Pluto back in January. So this is a dynamic that we spent some time looking at earlier this week. We'll continue to look at it next week. But what I want to do today is I want to focus on the new whole sign house, location of Mars, because for many of us, you'll notice it right away.
Oh, Mars has changed signs. Mars has changed houses. New topics are being activated right away, and very powerfully because of the immediate engagement with Pluto. I think that we'll probably do some more horoscopes on this, including both houses. But what I want to do today are just focus on three questions that you can ask yourself.
Given the entrance of Mars into Leo acting as something like a trigger point or a release point for the upcoming opposition Mars, the faster moving planet, making the opposition to Pluto, who's been in the whole sign house of Aquarius in our charts for a while now, I think is probably a good starting point for delineation and forecasting.
So the three questions that I want you to consider prior to getting into the horoscopes and reminding you of what house topics are being activated by Mars right now are this number one, where is the impulse to act appearing? Is it in your marriage? Is it at work? Is it around money or family or your living environment.
Is it around your health? Is it a personal something existential and psychological? Is it around your friends or social group? Is it with respect to your religious or spiritual views? Where is the impulse to act appearing right now, this is a good question for everyone to be asking, and then we'll give you some hints about the house location number two, what is the trigger?
It is very possible when Mars opposes Pluto, that we are feeling like there is a force of evolutionary necessity at work, or that there is a kind of conflict appearing that we have no choice but to engage with, or that something is really disturbing us or bothering us, or triggering us to act or do something, or triggering us to maybe tempting us to act impulsively or reactively.
Where's the trigger right now, that's another way of thinking about it. And then again, we'll give you some hints with the house location. Finally, what is necessary? Mars and Pluto opposite one another really do drive home the feeling that something needs to change, something needs to be acted upon. There is a moment of transformation at hand.
What is necessary? That might be the most basic question we could ask ourselves. And now let's take a look at the houses. These are going to be brief reminders of what house topics are being activated, and you can then keep these questions in mind. Now, let me just, I want to add this in really quickly.
Okay, just had to do one thing there. All right, so I am going to move this along so that we have Aries on our ascendant. With Aries on the ascendant, we will go through horoscopes, Aries through Pisces, and all I'm going to do is remind you of the whole sign house, location of Mars now, having entered the sign of Leo.
Let me I'm going to remove every single thing from our perspective, except for Mars. This will keep it just make it a little simpler. So I recommend listening to these for your rising sign, because that will correspond with the whole sign house version of your birth chart, which we use in Hellenistic astrology.
So it's going to be most accurate to your birth chart if you use the rising sign, but you can listen to your sun sign too, if that's what you prefer. So if you're in Aries rising this impulse to act, this trigger, this evolutionary force of necessity, is coming through the House of creativity. It's in a place that is associated with pleasure and enjoyment and satisfaction and creative fulfillment.
It's a Dharma house that's associated with your being true to yourself creatively as an individual being, I have to be true to the creative direction and impulse of my soul. That's where this trigger, or impulse to act, this force of evolutionary necessity is appearing and driving the plot of the Pluto opposition, or the opposition to Pluto, I should say, so think about that if you're in Aries.
This could also have something to do with the topic of children in the fifth house or pregnancy. Those are also topics clearly associated with the fifth moving to Taurus. This evolutionary impulse, this trigger, this force of action that's coming in is the fourth house. So it's the place of family and home and parents, your roots, everything that sustains and supports you in the most fundamental way is also the private or internal sphere of life.
How is there a force or drive to bring something that is within you outward into the public for example, how are changes around home, family, parents, ancestral karma. How are they leading or lighting the way in a new evolutionary direction for you? So home, family, roots in inner life, private sphere of life, what's inside?
Go forward to Gemini, and we see this in the third house. I think about this as a place of skill development, a place of intelligence and learning, but also a place that connects us to our local environment. It's kind of the. Village of the ancient world, or what we might now call a culture or a community.
What is the impulse coming through right now, to act, to do, to speak, to make a change with respect to the environment you inhabit in the most everyday way? Could there be something coming up with siblings? This is a house associated with siblings and in a sense, peers, friends, what's happening in terms of how you communicate with other people, or how you're speaking to other people, or what's coming up in conversation.
Communication and Technology may be a part of this for Geminis, but also the need to speak or act with a competitive edge, or maybe even dealing with competitors. That could be something that's arising right now for Geminis, as well learning mental activity, also themes that could be relevant for cancers. This is in the second house, which means that things are changing around money.
There's an impulse to change with respect to things like who and what act as supports for your material existence, even things that relate to diet and nourishment were associated with the second house, traditionally, money, finances, resources, skill development, what's changing or what new implementations are taking place with respect to things like money and finance.
I like this as a time of rapid growth and transformation around things that might be entrepreneurial for cancers, for Leo's, we're talking about self actualization in the first house. What are you What is the action that you need to take? Or how are you being triggered into an act of personal transformation, body, psychology, behavior, identity.
Who am I? What do I need? What do I want? How do I act with a strong determination, strong form of self expression, without being a bully or being domineering or being you know, too much. But how do I be enough? You know? How do I build confidence? So a time that I think for Leo's will be about self belief.
For Virgos, the 12th house, what kinds of conflicts are appearing in the environment, people and energies that are maybe undermining you or working against you, or that are at odds with you, that you are slowly starting to realize, or there's things are starting to come to light to the surface, and you're starting to realize what is or isn't a healthy person or energy or contributing factor in the environments, like weeding out things that are not good for you.
There's another to me that Mars in the 12th can also be about detractors and enemies and people who are sort of like toxic or conflicts with people who maybe have petty jealousies or something like that. It's also about understanding the shadows of your own ego or subconscious, or I should say, unconscious elements of your own psychology that are working against you and getting in touch with those and creating changes because you're getting in touch with those more shadow, maybe perhaps shadow dimensions of your your own personality, your own psychology.
I also like Mars in the 12th as meaningful time spent alone or apart or in silence or meditation, where, if you need to get clear about the direction your life is taking, take some time out or apart. Take some solitude. Take some rest, take some time to meditate that that's a constructive thing, that may lead to a clearer sense of what direction to go in or what action to take.
All right, moving on to Libra Mars, in the 11th house, a place of friends communities, social circles. So where is the impulse to act with respect to friends, communities and groups that you belong to. Are you being asked to lead or take some take on some greater role of leadership or responsibility within a group or community?
Are there conflicts with big personalities in groups of friends or social circles? Are you finding that there are various levels of social competition or um, struggle or conflict that are arising in the 11th house. Some of those may be very meaningful evolutionary opportunities for you to say, this isn't for me, this group, this people, these people, this person isn't the right friend or colleague or this isn't the right community, because this.
Conflict arising has made it clear. On the other hand, you could be finding beneficial people to take action with, to do something with, to collaborate with, to start a business with, to achieve something alongside of So Mars in the 11th can be about that the meaningful ambitions we have and the people that are best, best allies for those ambitions.
So think about those that group, area for Libras, for Scorpios, the trigger of this Mars Pluto dynamic of Mars in Scorpio, Mars in Leo, excuse me, is taking place in your 10th house. Obviously, that's the place of vocation and career, but it's also your public facing self, how you're seen, how you're recognized, the role you take on more visibly and publicly, what connects you to the social dimension of life, which we all participate in, even if you're retired.
So with Mars in the 10th house, the force of evolutionary necessity, the trigger, the impulse to act, is coming into the career space. That could mean that things in the workspace are changing. Leadership is changing, where there are conflicts around power and authority. It could also mean that you're being asked to take on more.
But explorations of Mars in the career house are on the menu for Scorpios right now. So let's go forward to sadges, Sagittarians. You have Mars in your ninth house, the place of beliefs, convictions, philosophy, learning, teachers, religion and spirituality, universities and so forth. So are you facing conflict ideologically, spiritually or philosophically?
How are you dealing with it? Are you being empowered to act based on the conviction of your beliefs right now, or are you taking off on a new adventure to learn something, maybe even travel abroad? I would the feeling of something like a religious or philosophical or educational mission or crusade comes to mind with Mars and Leo in the ninth house.
There's also maybe explorations of power in relation to things like teaching, education, schools, religion and so forth. So for Capricorns, we bring this into the eighth house, which is a difficult place. There's many positive significations of the eighth, but Mars in the eighth is often about conflicts that we have with other people based on the give and take inherent in every soul contract that we ever have.
There's a way in which there are things exchanged psychically, emotionally, financially, and the exchange is often represented in the eighth house, or it's mirrored there. And so Mars in that house can mean severing bonds or contracts, conflicts around karmic contracts, the need to establish new ones that are more advantageous or to end old ones.
But there can also be the initiation of new things with respect to shared assets or resources or a partner's money or income or something like that. So that area of karmic obligations, karmic debts, and also the give and take that we give in ways that are often really beneficial. But Mars is maybe on the one hand, you can see Mars in the eighth being very empowering with the resources it provides.
On the other hand, it could provide conflict around shared resources or karmic obligations in the give and take with Aquarius, it lands right in that seventh house, and so that is the place of relationships. Mars is triggering evolutionary growth and change, maybe through a partner, through a loved one, through a business partner, through someone that we're dating that could come in and force us to make a decision or choose if we want to continue with a relationship or deepen it, or commit to it or get out of it.
But the force of evolution to act, to do something, to change is happening in that house. That could also mean that a partner themselves is going through a change, a job change, an identity change, a health change Mars entering the seventh may simply speak to the force of evolution that's occurring through the life of a partner.
So watch for it on that level as well. Now finally, with Pisces. Pisces, Pisces, oh, that was memorable, okay, for Pisces sixth house. So, oh, my god, that was really fun. I've never said the word Pisces like that ever in my entire life. That was, I'm gonna remember that. I'm gonna remember I just made up a new language.
Okay, Pisces for the sixth house Mars. You've got this place that is associated with work, labor, sacrifice, competition, conflict, disease, sickness. It's a gnarly house. The Mars Pluto dynamic here is very much saying, okay, like, do I want to keep working in the way that I've been working, especially if I feel in. Trapped or kind of enslaved, if I feel like this is nothing but drudgery and it's not worth sacrificing for Mars in this house will amplify all of the things that feel are most exhausting and draining and require that you address them.
On the other hand, the meaningful conflicts and obstacles that we must overcome to grow, to succeed, to build a business, to build success, to learn something, to develop as an apprentice, a skill. All of the hard work, the practice, the dedication, the sacrifice that is worth it is also here. Where are you being driven to work hard on behalf of something, to sacrifice, to serve, to work for what you care about, what you love?
On the other hand, where are you feeling exhausted or drained? I would look at those to be the two, the two main places of emphasis with Mars in your sixth Okay, Pisces, that's it for today. I hope you guys are having a good one after I sign off, stick around to learn more about the upcoming program, ancient astrology for the modern mystic.
It begins at the end of June. You're going to love the Nightlight community. We I think, as a school, we attract such wonderful people, such deep, thoughtful people who really want to go deep with astrology, and this class is awesome for doing just that. So I hope you will stick around to hear more about it and take advantage of the early bird sale or the need based tuition, you know, whatever you need.
Okay, that's it for now. Have a great weekend. We'll see you again next week. Bye, everyone.
Remarkably helpful report as this Mars in Leo/Pluto opposition transit is one of the fiercest ever to manage I”m finding – all things Evolutionary – especially w my out of bounds Mars. Big thanks. Happy Easter.
