2020 has been a great time to learn mundane astrology, I feel, which is a related but different language than natal. A discussion of Aries Ingress charts would have to be generated for the various countries of the world, which could be a hurdle, but perhaps could be done as a series. The US Aries Ingress chart for 2021, for example, has Saturn in the 1st, often associated with a nation death rate, the elderly or “life threatening epidemic”, which would prompt one to conclude that this pandemic is still at the helm. The Sun is in 3, perhaps confirming that it is local governors and health county officials that are in fact dealing with it. The Moon is in 5 with Mars, which could indicate social division or creative action or both. A recent article in the NY Times speculated “Will Coronavirus Kill Astrology?” and proceeded to interview natal astrologers, not mundane astrologers, and I felt that the matter could have been clarified right there. While they are related languages, the distinction is important and I think particularly helpful to understand an era such as this.
