The Moon is in Cancer today, applying to a trine of Saturn retrograde in Scorpio by late tonight.
Here’s what to watch for:
* Unclear thinking, wishy washy decisions, excuses, delusion, illusion, brain fog (Mercury square Neptune)
* Trickery, deception, lies, manipulation, (Mercury square Neptune)
* Omens, oracles, signs, symbols, dream interpretation, decoding messages, communications more than they seem or say (Mercury square Neptune)
* The limits of the rational mind, or the rational mind in service of a higher ideal, vision, dream, or goal (Mercury square Neptune)
* Looking deeply at uncomfortable issues, finding truths that lurk below the surface, psychological revelations, seriousness and maturity, weighty feelings and limits (Saturn retrograde in Scorpio)
* Rapid breakthroughs, success, dominating performances, elation, aggrandizement, rebelliousness, ego inflation, victory, destiny, awakening, expanded awareness, excessiveness (Jupiter in Leo trine Jupiter in Aries)
* Confidence is growing, feeling lucky, proud, bigger than life, successful, above average, blessed, happy, and attracted to big things (Venus in Leo conjoining Jupiter in Leo)
* Attracting unusual, dramatic, exotic, people, ideas, or experiences (Venus also trine to Uranus)
* Headaches, nerve, back, head or neck issues, pains in or behind the eyes, irritability, feeling excessive heat or fire in the head or intellect, cutting words, thoughts, speech (Mars/Sun in Gemini)
* Taking a stand, breaking away, evolving into something new (Uranus beginning to slow into its station)
As the moon travels through Cancer today with its application to Saturn the atmosphere is a watery blue and black. With any Moon transit I like to practice feeling the energy of the Moon by sign. For example, with the Moon in Cancer I always notice either Cancerian themes related to home, secrecy, privacy, nurturing, mom or family, or I will simply feel a general cool/wet or cool/moist presence. Tomorrow morning as the Moon enters Leo you’ll wake up and you might notice a distinct change in the mood or atmosphere. With Leo I usually feel the atmosphere shift to hot and dry or fiery and somewhat fierce or proud. There is a dramatic feeling, though it’s also a fixed/heavy and somewhat lazy energy (like a king or queen comfortably on the throne). Practicing our observation of the Moon’s changes can help us to feel all the other planetary aspects as well. For example…notice how as the day goes on the feeling of inner limits, depth, seriousness, mystery, focus, and maturity will begin to grow. The more taboo subjects, fears, or complications will start to creep in and the cool/moist atmosphere will take on an even deeper and perhaps colder quality. If you can feel this, then the encounter with Saturn can mean that much more…the openness to a conscious conversation with Saturn will change the experience of the transit, and generally speaking we stand to learn and grow a lot more as a result.
Prayer: blue black, cool down, sweet water streaming…into evening…dark deeps rising…help us feel into each new world as it rises and falls
