It’s full Moon time!
Here’s what to watch for:
* With the full Moon engaging Neptune the themes of rising waters comes to mind. The rising of the waters is of course not only literal but metaphorical. The rising of the waters represents the feeling of overwhelm, of futility or exhaustion, of limits being eroded or deteriorating, of fullness and excess, of neediness and weeping or leaking, of wounds and healing, of thirst and the unquenchable. The Sun opposite to Neptune is the picture of the bright light being drowned out, of the prophet, leader, or visionary making far reaching predictions, offering warnings, or failing or fading in strength. The Sun and Neptune call into question what is real, what can be trusted, and what is real beyond the shining appearances. The Sun/Neptune opposition is about the call to something higher, as well as the ulterior motives hidden within the mask of charity or goodness. It is about finding help in desperate times, but it is also about rising to the task and finding the saint within ourselves. It’s about victims and survivors and also the blame we tend to cast on victims as well as the responsibility we all must take, in consciousness, to respond creatively and humbly to misfortune.
* Mars has just entered Virgo and is very close to rising again in the east as the morning star, along with Mercury. This rising of Mars and Mercury will coincide with the approaching opposition between Jupiter and Uranus, which means that Mercury and Mars together will start to appear very strongly, rising into our conscious awareness in the collective, beating the war drums, revealing, announcing, prosecuting, heralding, compelling, stirring, and raising. Both planets moving through their own oppositions to Neptune as they become morning stars will also create opportunities for us to recognize the truth and to be compelled or inspired to take strong actions as a result.
* Mercury is stationing to turn direct on the Eclipse point. Watch as news, information, announcements, important changes of direction, mind, or strategy take place over the course of this week.
* Finally, Jupiter is moving into an opposition with Uranus, pushing us toward the brink of another dynamic and rapid series of revolutionary events politically, socially, and culturally, but also personally. Jupiter/Uranus moving into an opposition stimulates a series of events that shake our foundations, challenges old or outworn structures in our lives, and dares us to see a bigger or completely different picture than the one we’ve been living with. Because the planets are opposed, the new vision we’re being asked to consider will not come without effort, without learning how to hold the tension of various opposites in our lives, and without surrendering in places where we would prefer to hold on our have our own way.
Prayer: Show us where the waters are rising, and inspire within us the courage to change and grow into a heart two times its current size.
