The Mercury/Jupiter conjunction will be exact in the next two days.
Here are a few things to watch for:
* Coming to an agreement or resolution.
In ancient astrology Jupiter and Mercury were planetary contraries that ruled opposite signs (Gemini/Sagittarius and Virgo/Pisces). While Mercury was said to rule the intellect and argumentation, Jupiter was said to rule possessions and abundance. Whereas Mercury tends to analyze, debate, contest, and deconstruct, Jupiter tends to say “yes,” tends to build bigger wholes, tends to confirm and grow. So when the two planets come into conjunction in the sign of Venus one signification is an agreement. Add in the tendency towards pivotal moments of resolution, justice, and fairness in Libra and you may have an agreement that serves to end a conflict or that creates accord where there has been disagreements and so forth. Or you might see the paying back of a debt or the peaceful resolution of something that has been bothersome for a while now.
* The growth and development of the mind and intellect.
Jupiter/Mercury conjunctions also signify periods of time where our intellectual faculties (Mercury) might be greatly enhanced by the growth oriented qualities of Jupiter. It’s a wonderful time to study, learn, or commit to the development of our skills and knowledge at a deeper level. It’s also a time to build or gain confidence in our communication skills or intellectual abilities in general.
We’ll look at Mercury and Jupiter again tomorrow, but for today see how the above themes are already at work in your life right now!
Prayer: Help us to find resolution, agreement, and accord. Help us to build trust and faith in the power of our minds.
