New Moon late tonight!
A new moon in the culminating degrees of Taurus opens our next moon cycle. Today is therefore a very lazy, dark moon kind of day. Here’s a few things to watch for in the upcoming days as our cycle opens:
* Spring is shifting to summer here in the Northern Hemisphere, which means the weather will be vacillating and first summer storms will be coming through…the changeability in the air will be noticeable as Mercury is retrograde, Mars is in Gemini, and the Sun will be entering Gemini shortly
* Mercury retrograde in square to Neptune will highlight the changeability of the mind, the underlying ambivalence we might have about various people, projects, or ideas, and the susceptibility to confusion, illusion, or fuzzy thinking…the Mercury retrograde will also give our speech, words, and thoughts an other worldly or transcendental quality
* Mars in Gemini features the aggression of the mind, speech, and thoughts, as well as windy agitations, dryness, and mental fatigue or verbal explosiveness
* Venus opposing Pluto over the next week will feature passionate love affairs, bursting romantic escapades, implosions, conflicts, unconscious family material erupting, secrets, hidden longings, erotic fantasies, age or generation gaps in love and conflict, selfish needs, passive aggression, women’s health issues, and gender roles or family lineage issues…
* Jupiter trine Uranus brings exciting, innovative, rebellious, individualistic, ego shining, celebrity like success or luck or confidence or inflation…sudden unexpected victories…flight and soaring…
* The T-Square between Sun/Mars/Mercury in Gemini, Saturn in Sagittarius and Neptune in Pisces brings a kind of philosophical transformation. A different way of seeing or thinking about something. Bridging worlds, walking our talk, transforming our points of view, and learning to deconstruct various ideologies as well…all part of a philosophical conversation, monologue, or debate…
These themes follow the trend of slowly but surely giving structure and clarity to the changes that began during eclipse season and through the last Uranus/Pluto square…little by little the changes that were initiated at the Spring Equinox are finding form and shape…right now it’s as though a period of learning and fundamental change on a philosophical level must take place in order for the changes to find their perfect form…
Prayer: Thank you for another beautiful moon cycle. Alive on this mysterious, challenging, and beautiful planet…what more can I ask for?
