Saturn and Uranus Through the 12 Houses

Hi everyone, this is Acyuta-bhava from Nightlight Astrology and today we are going to take a look at Saturn square to Uranus through the 12 signs based on your rising sign. I feel like this is probably the best way to cap off this series, we've taken a look at this archetypal combination through a bunch of different lenses, we've really unpacked it, I think at a pretty deep level, especially if you go back to the series of videos that I made at the beginning of the year looking at this transit. All in all, I think I've probably done like five or six videos on the year, just looking at this archetypal combination. So let's refresh on the 12 signs. And depending on your rising sign, which houses are Saturn and Uranus landing in right now, and what kinds of themes or events might you see or topics might you see activated in your life?

First of all, let's refresh Saturn and Uranus just squared again on Monday, but they're in close proximity to one another really through the end of July at this point, with Mars triggering them very strongly between now in the first week of July in particular. So still very potent square, very much feeling that you probably were feeling it for a month or so. Going back in time, as well say mid May, you might have started feeling the intensification of these planets getting into the square again, squares are of the nature of Mars. So I've kind of loosely defined this. In terms of the following themes, you could say in looking at where these two planets fall in your birth chart. We could ask the question, Where do I need patience right now? Where might there be setbacks? unexpected, sudden, disruptive setbacks? Where could I expect sudden or unexpected breakthroughs? Because that's the Saturn, Uranus tension. Where am I going through a series of challenges and breakthroughs? Where am I reforming? Or patiently recreating something restructuring something? Where am I encountering a hard limit? Where am I feeling impatient and in need of some kind of breakthrough? Where am I resisting or defying some kind of limit. So those are the basic things and we're just going to refresh on those themes through the 12 rising signs and the two houses that are getting activated depending on your rising sign.

So what I'm going to do now is to put Aries on the ascendant and briefly touch on what might be activated in your chart based on that rising sign. And I'll draw them out for all 12 signs. So you can see Saturn and Uranus across the 11th and the 2nd houses if you're an Aries rising. So again, going back to those core questions of where might I be experiencing a series of breakthroughs and limitations? Where am I reforming? Or patiently recreating something over to where do I need patience? Where am I encountering a limit? Where is there something that I'm resisting? Where am I patiently awaiting that big breakthrough. So those are the kinds of things again, we're just going to kind of repeat that for all 12 signs. So if you are an Aries rising, you're looking at two houses that have to do with resources in the 11th in the second. The second, could be understood as your personal resources, that would be money, or the things that you physically possess or own that are in some ways meant to prop up or support, your existence, your health, your vitality, your well being. And then you have the 11th house, which tends to be about our social assets, our allies, people that are important to us in terms of our ambitions. And so right now, you could just focus on those topics and the series of limitations and breakthroughs that might be happening relative to the topics of your personal assets and resources and your social assets and resources. And there might be a dialogue created between those two areas in your life right now. So I'm going to keep this as broad as possible, as simple and concise as possible. Because generally speaking, that's going to be more helpful for you know, an audience of 1000s of people who, you know, I can't look at individual birth charts, right, so let's go to Taurus rising.

If you're a Taurus rising, where are you patiently awaiting a breakthrough where there are a series of breakthroughs and constraints limitations and you know, bursts forward, it's between the 10th and the first house. So the 10th house being a place of praxis or action in the world, for most people that's going to be your career or your public reputation. In the first house identity body health psychology, it's very existential in the first house. So existential and professional areas are being highlighted. If you're a Taurus Rising, that's where the tension is. That's where the breakthroughs are. That's where the feeling of constraint might be located right now. And there's kind of a back and forth there.

Okay, let's move forward to Gemini rising. If we put Gemini rising on the ascendant, then we're going to see this between the 12th, and the ninth houses, you think about the 12th house, and you think about a place where we can come undone. It can be the unconscious aspects of our own personality, that tend to do a sin, or it can be someone an undermining influence or person in the workplace or anything, any energy, any quality within ourselves or the environment that has the potential to undermine us, or something that exists in the shadows. So let's call it the subconscious, and that is trying to get our attention. Also, the need to lose control or step out of the familiar realm of our our egos control over things, which might happen, for example, when you go on a retreat of some kind, or when you're temporarily sick or something like that. Now, this house, I have to explain it a little bit more, because it has this reputation for being a very difficult house, and it certainly can be but losing control is also how we find ourselves spiritually. Losing the plot is how we often find the authentic the most authentic path for ourselves. So there's a I always like to say, you know, as Gandalf said, All who wander are not lost with the 12th house, there's something very meaningful that can happen through the meanderings or the troubles of the 12th house. Now, by contrast, the ninth house that's being highlighted by Saturn, in this Saturn Uranus dynamic is a place of higher learning, faith, education, this searching of higher truths and our guiding beliefs or principles. So right now, there's a dialogue, if you're a Gemini rising, being created around those things that exist in the shadows that pull you away, or that pull you off from the familiar or that maybe even undermine you, and the conversation about guiding beliefs, guiding principles, higher learning teachers, and, and maybe your deepest beliefs or convictions about things. So that's where the breakthroughs the limitations kind of back and forth between those two qualities are taking place, if you're a Gemini rising, alright.

If you are a Cancer rising, then we're seeing this play out Saturn and Uranus across the eighth and the 11th. At the 11th, again, a place of your assets socially, whereas Saturn in the eighth is going to be often a place of our debts, or our entanglements, or our bonds with others, things that we owe to other people or that they somehow owed to us karmically emotionally, financially, things that we need from other people or that other people need from us. So the conversation here has to do with social contracts, if you're a Cancer, it has to do with changes in the social dimensions of your life changes within groups or organisations have the potential to feel like you're, you know, you're ostracised, or you're, you're you're needing to define yourself differently from the group somehow, or that certain kinds of group relationships or professional or social dimensions of your life are going through a significant change. And you could feel, you know, like that could feel disruptive, and it could feel alternating between limitations and breakthroughs. And also, what do I want to say, the clearing of old debts, or the elimination of certain kinds of relationships that aren't working, as well as perhaps meeting new people that allow for new kinds of growth or new kinds of progress in your life. So that's an interesting, really interesting one if you're cancer rising between the eighth and the 11th. Now, I'd love to hear stories from my Cancer risings out there about that one, I'm always curious to hear about the eighth 11th house connections, because there's so they can be so different. One story to the next.

So if you're a Leo rising, then we have Uranus and Saturn in your 10th and seventh houses. This is across the professional house and the relationship house. So you're thinking about the interplay between intimate or personal relationships, marriage, as well as your work in the world or professional life in general. Sometimes you're going to see that these two areas are combining for a spouse or partner, their job could be changing or there could be Something changing in terms of their social or professional role. So it doesn't even necessarily have to do with your own career, it could be that the topics of career and marriage or career in relationships, or public identity and sexual identity are changing somehow. And that would be, you know, a back and forth that you would experience between that professional house and that relationship house right now, for the next month ahead. And it's, it's a little bit more personal for Leos because Mars is going to be catalysing this from within your whole sign first house. So there's questions about authority, individuality, both in the workplace and relationships, maybe some power struggles that you're going to be dealing with a little bit in those areas between now and say, the early part of July. Later in July, I think things get significantly better for you, if you're a Leo, same thing with my Aquarians, which we'll come to later.

Alright, so if we go to Virgo risings, then we're seeing the Saturn Uranus dynamic across the sixth and the ninth houses. Now the ninth house again, a place of higher wisdom and knowledge, a place that pertains to our guiding beliefs, religion and spirituality, learning universities, teaching teachers, mentors, gurus, sages, that house, as well as is being activated alongside of the sixth house. The sixth house is going to be a house that was associated with hard work and labour, sickness and service are servitude, or even, to a certain extent slavery. So now, different types of slavery, you know, mental slavery, physical slavery, you know, or drudgery is another word, and I don't want to be too, you know, in the ancient world, certainly the sixth there were houses that were literally associated with slaves and slavery. But this would be a dynamic between these two houses where, you know, that experience of the tension, the construction, the the hardness of Saturn in the sixth house of hard work, and the need for some kind of uranian breakthrough in the house of beliefs. And I often find that when a person is realising that something in their life is exhausting, or that something in their life really is, like not doing them any favours, it's something that they're feeling oppressed by, and that they need some kind of they're they realise that and they're having some kind of paradigm shift. And that's often a ninth house sixth house dynamic, my mind changes my beliefs change my I start to understand something or start to have some awakening insights, that are in direct commentary with the things that are weightiest and heaviest and most unrewarding, most thankless, most draining, or on the other hand, guiding beliefs and principles that motivate some kind of selfless service or, or work for the sake of some kind of higher principle, those kinds of combinations will often come in the ninth and the sixth, also, sometimes there's going to be the learning of new skills and almost like the hard work of developing some kind of new knowledge or ability. So watch for that, those kinds of themes if you're a Virgo rising.

Now, if you're a Libra rising, we're taking these and we're taking Uranus in the eighth and Saturn in the fifth. Now, again, the eighth house is going to be what binds us or bonds us to others, for better or worse, the kinds of things, the resources of other people the depths we have to other people death as in the ultimate debt that we all pay the ultimate bill that comes through for all of us. It's also a house that has a lot to do with the things that we need or that others need from us or that we owe or that others owe us. And then Saturn in the fifth a place that's associated with creativity, children, joy, but also the arts and pleasure.

So when these two houses come into contact, there's usually really complicated dynamics coming up around sex, children, relationships, joy, pleasure. And when there's often going to be alternation with these two planets of feeling limited, joyless and feeling trapped or stuck in certain kinds of relationships or obligations or duties, and then it needing to experience some kind of breakthrough. So the most, you know, for Libras, looking at what gives pleasure or what prohibits pleasure within ourselves or outside of ourselves, that could be really important right now. So we go along to Scorpio rising next.

If you're a Scorpio rising, Saturn and Uranus are falling in your fourth and seventh houses now. That's going to be the house of home family property, generally speaking your roots and foundations, ancestral karma, family karma, and the seventh house of relationships, marriage, you know, deeper interpersonal connections in general also sex the seventh house was associated with sex. So when we see these two areas coming up if you're a Scorpio rising, there's questions about your your home environment, home and family, karma, marriage, karma relationships that are important probably related back to your home your roots, psychological patterns that come from your family history. So those are a very strong back and forth between those two Angular houses can mean some big breakthroughs and relationships, some big the need for there to be changed at the roots in the family. And sometimes if if you're feeling suffocated within a relationship or within a home environment, needing to shake things up, but those revolutionary energies can also mean some tumultuous ness for relationships or for your home or living environment if you're a Scorpio rising.

Okay, so let's move forward to Sagittarius. If you're a Sagittarius, then we're placing these energies between your third and sixth houses. Now, the third house has a lot to do with the environment around you and how it influences or affects the mind, the mind and how it in turn creates or shapes the environment. It also can tie into people or things in your immediate environment that are familiar and kind of every day, whether it's your computer, your siblings, or close, like people that you're like your neighbours. So anything that kind of has this very, I think of the third house, almost like a beehive and all of the constant motion and buzzing have the day to day life, the it's the path you take to work on your bicycle. It's also the kinds of podcasts you listen to on your lunch break. You know, it's the quality of conversation throughout your day, it's the medium of communication that happens around you in your everyday life. And then the sixth house, which is you know, again, a place where especially when Uranus is there, where there's going to be this desire to break free from drudgery, there's going to be the need to have the environment can be coloured by revolutionary thoughts or ideas or actions with your Uranus in the sixth. And also the potential for there to be some degree of mental conflict or conflict or chaos that's being dealt with in the mind or the immediate environment. I use the example before of when I lived in New York City. And there was this huge construction project going on outside of my apartment and it was just banging in chaos and you know, stuff like that through all all throughout the day. And it was really hard to work from home at that point as an astrologer. So sometimes it's it's going to be like that, like a kind of chaos that you're working through mentally and in the environment somehow and real back and forth between the breakthroughs and the freedom that you're seeking. And the constraint that you're feeling is to be especially be a combination of houses that could suggest that you're being too intense mentally are like too rigid about things too. So be careful of that.

All right, if you're a Capricorn rising, we're going to look at the second and the fifth houses for Saturn and Uranus. Now again, your resources in the second house, personal resources, possessions, assets, money, things that you rely on to support you even food and diet to a certain extent can be understood as the second house as second house topics. Uranus in the fifth, seeking breakthroughs around fun recreation, joy, pleasure, sex, kids, childlike qualities, joyful qualities. So conversation between joy, pleasure, recreation, creativity, and your assets or resources.

There's limitation and there's breakthrough limitation and breakthrough. Need needing patience around these topics. Especially if, for example, your finances are making it difficult for you to achieve some of the things that you want to or incorporate a level of joy, happiness, freedom, you know, ease that you are needing right now, this can also mean that there are some kinds of expenses that come up around children or that you know, financial matters and children are connected somehow. So those are some of the possible topics if you're a Capricorn rising.

Aquarius

Now, if you're an Aquarius, rising, we have this coming in through the first and fourth. That's very dynamic because we're talking about the house of identity. And we are talking about the place of home and family. Now Mars is also stimulating and intensifying this through the seventh house of relationships. So for my aquarians and my Leo's probably more of The, you know, you could say Taurus is and Scorpios too. But mostly I think Leo's and aquarians expect potential for some power struggles around home, family, marriage relationships, and your own, you know, kind of your own personal sense of, of identity, they're all coming together is very intense dynamic between now in the first week of July, so I could I can say that there's, you know, just generally, kind of in the air, there's the mood of contentiousness and power struggle for you, if you're an Aquarius, I think you can, you know, you'll you'll see that you'll, you'll come to terms, there'll be resolution, Venus is going to conjoin Mars in your seventh house of relationships later in July. So, you know, be careful work through things patiently with other people, especially if they have if it has anything to do with your home your living environment, family, karma or marriage and relationships. So that's my news for aquarians.

Now, if you're a Pisces, last but not least, the third and 12th house dynamics are going to come up. Now again, mind immediate environment, the impact the mind has on the environment, the environment on the mind. And then the 12th house, which is a place of solitude, isolation, potential influences that undermine us, I would look for mental and emotional breakthroughs if you're a Pisces rising right now. Because you also have Jupiter in your first house, which is a very positive influence that could suggest a lot of personal growth and opening and greater personal awareness, Jupiter just about to turn retrograde in your first house this month of June. So there's been an opening and there's probably been some personal breakthroughs as well as some personal setbacks back and forth, I would see this probably on the level of the mind communication and changes that are happening for you in terms of your sense of identity and purpose in the world. There's going to be some feelings of being held back by Saturn in the 12th and some feelings of having breakthroughs, mentally and emotionally with Uranus in the third house. The third house remember was called the joy of the moon. And an ancient astrology has a connection to the the kind of Mind Body emotional environment of the individual up so you know, like, like water is to the fish. So you can think about like, there's kind of mental environmental emotional disturbances and breakthroughs going on for Piscean individuals, Pisces rising people right now. But generally, I like it for you because of that Jupiter in your first house, which can be very expansive, and you know, kind of help you work through things.
