Hey everyone. This is Adam Elenbaas from Nightlight Astrology [https://nightlightastrology.com/]. Today we're going to take a look at the solar eclipse in Aries, followed by Neptune's entrance into Aries through all 12 whole sign horoscopes. This is meant to give you a reminder of the topics that will be activated by this transit. And I'm also going to focus on these two events, the solar eclipse in Aries and Neptune entering Aries from the standpoint of spiritual individuation. What does that mean? Why am I choosing that theme? We'll talk about that, and then I'll give you some sense of how and where that might be happening through these horoscopes.
You could also look back, by the way, at the horoscopes that we did at the beginning of this month of March. For the entirety of the month, we covered all of the Aries transits for all 12 signs. If you go back to those horoscopes, which are usually pinned to the top of the channel, you could also find those for some additional insight from myself, Alex, and Dana. Anyhow, that is our agenda for today. Before we get into it, remember to like and subscribe. We are trying to get to 80,000 subscribers. That's our next goal on the channel. We're well on our way there but could use your help. If you listen regularly and are not yet subscribed, it's free to do so. You can find transcripts of any of these daily talks on the website, which is NightlightAstrology.com.
Now, I want to also point you in the direction of some events that are coming up. If you go to the live talks page on the website, you will see that my talk on April 3 on essential dignities is coming up. If you want to learn more about why we say planets are in their fall, detriment, exile, their domicile, or their rulership or their exaltation, and what these things mean and why we use them, and how we use them, and how you can use them sensitively, why they aren't just prescriptive old categories we should do away with, then you will really enjoy this talk. It will help you understand the dignities of your own chart. And that can be a huge shift in how you see and understand things in terms of your own birth chart, too. So hope to see you there. When you register, of course, you get the link to attend the webinar, which is next week on Thursday night. But if you can't attend live, you get the recording afterward.
Okay, on that note, let's turn our attention to the real-time clock. I'm going to remind you of what is happening this weekend, although I don't think you need any reminder at this point. What we're looking at here is tomorrow. Today is Friday, March 28. Tomorrow, Saturday, March 29, we see a solar eclipse in the sign of Aries forming, and then one day later, Sunday, March 30, Neptune will enter the sign of Aries. So back-to-back major events that we've been talking about all week, and really for the better part of the month of March.
So with all of that in mind, I want to talk briefly about the theme of spiritual and heroic individuation. Why we talk about these themes when it comes to this sign and this eclipse and Neptune entering Aries, why I think it's relevant. And then we will turn our attention to the whole sign house placements of Neptune entering Aries and the solar eclipse in Aries. You listen to these for your rising sign or sun sign, and I'll get to that in a minute.
So first of all, the theme of Aries as the Temple of Mars, and also the place where the sun is exalted. That means that the planets, that sort of—you can think of them—that Aries is the temple of the ram and the home temple of the sun and Mars. It's a simple way of putting it. That means that the solar and martial themes kind of combined represent something essential on an archetypal level about this temple of the zodiac, the first temple of the zodiac, where in the solar year, as seen from the symbolic standpoint of the Northern Hemisphere, the light takes over from darkness. And from this moment all the way through the end of Virgo will be on the light half of the year, where the days are longer than nights, and the Yang is dominant, so to speak, within the story of the solar year.
So that is thought of as a conception or inception or birth moment—all appropriate images or metaphors for the start of the zodiac and the beginning of the dominance of light. Now, sometimes we project onto light and dark a story of morality. Dark is bad, light is good. And I think we do have to go beyond that to understand all of the depth of the zodiac and the story it tells through the solar year. So I don't mean to say when I say light and dark, don't think of it morally. Think of it more as an exchange of light and dark, a play of light and dark, an exchange of Yang and Yin, so to speak, metaphysically, that's happening all year round, where both energetic qualities are beautiful and inseparable and equally divine and special. Make sure you think about it that way whenever we're talking about light and dark.
But first of all, this is a sign in which the light takes over from the darkness. It emerges out of the darkness. And so you are thinking about the emergence of the child from out of the womb, as in birth. The sign of Aries was not literally associated with the first house, but it does share something in common with the idea of the rising sun. And so there's a really beautiful way in which we can think about this sign as inceptional, conceptional, birthing, starting new endeavors, a pioneering quality. Wherever there is a heroic, courageous quality, we are often talking about Mars, and this is one of the temples of Mars. Whenever we're talking about the feeling that our life has a special purpose that we are meant to find or realize, we are often talking about the sun. This is the place of the sun's exaltation. And so when we combine those things, we get the sort of heroic, courageous quest to find, discover, realize a purpose within ourselves.
When we apply that to the realm of character in Indian astrology, the first house, which I think of also as a place where the sun is rising, that house was a Dharma house, and it was connected to three Dharma houses. And the basic meaning of dharma is that which, if you don't have it, won't the thing, won't be the thing. So let's use the example of fire. I've used this before in the channel. Fire is not fire without heat and light. Water isn't water unless it's moist and fluid. You are also not you, and I am not me, without certain core characteristics of our soul in this lifetime that are here to express. And some of those, we come in knowing and aware of. Others, we may repress or they may be suppressed, and we have to fight because we know what they are, but we're scared to live into them. And other aspects of our dharma, we don't know, we can't see, we're not aware of, and we have to discover.
When I think of the sign of Aries, one way that I like to boil it down, because it works, is to think of Aries as a sign in which there is a strong emphasis being placed on fighting to retain elements of you that, for whatever reason, you're having a hard time expressing—that you have to stand up and claim something that is individually unique and special and true about yourself against perceived opposition or real opposition, whether that's inside of yourself or outside of yourself. And then I also think of the sign in terms of the quest or process of taking certain kinds of risks in order to find parts of yourself that you do not yet know about, that you have not yet seen or understood.
So the shadows of these things can, of course, be being domineering, being bullying, being overpowering, you know, trying to force yourself on other things or people, and not allowing other space—space enough for other people to also be individuals with a right to be themselves as well. Not surprisingly, Aries are often very sensitive to underdog stories or people who are being oppressed or bullied. They'll often show up as guardians, advocates, defenders of those who are being attacked or assaulted for being themselves. So really strong themes, with Neptune entering Aries and a solar eclipse in Aries, that we can think about with respect to the process of individuation.
Now, that process, when it's understood not merely as the development of character, and, you know, kind of like our basic ego qualities in this lifetime—and I don't think of ego as a bad word here. I'm just saying like you're your temporary, limited, this-lifetime body and identity—when we think about the process of defending, advocating for something essential about who we are, or discovering parts we have not yet discovered, and we marry that with a process of spiritual illumination from within—that this process is sacred and holy, and that it has to do with tapping into something that is divinely imprinted upon us, like this: What I'm discovering about me is what God or the universe made me to be. What I'm standing up for, that I maybe am afraid to express, is what the universe or divinity imprinted on my heart, and I have to fight for that. You know, not fight as in win or beat people up, but I have to stand up for that somehow.
Those kinds of themes are the ones that I'm thinking of when I think of Neptune entering Aries along with a solar eclipse in Aries. I have to discover this part of myself that I haven't discovered, take some risks, or I have to defend or develop and nurture some part of me that I'm scared of, or I don't have an easy time expressing, or I'm afraid of opposition. And I have to do those things because I know that if and when I do, there's a process of illumination, of spiritual evolution that will take place, and it's calling me inside. I can feel it.
So when we talk about that, that's how I'm thinking about Neptune entering Aries and the solar eclipse in Aries over the weekend as one of many possible ways of looking at these transits. That's the one I want to focus on in these horoscopes. So all that being said, let us now shift our attention back to the chart, and what I'm going to do is just advance this ever so slightly. Okay, now I'm going to change this chart so that the only thing that you can see are the sun, the moon, and Neptune. This way, we have the picture of the eclipse and the ingress before us. So let us now back this up just slightly. Of course, I'm going to get it just like this, aren't I? There we go. Got them all in the same house now.
Okay, so I'm going to just remind you of the topics where might you see these themes of spiritual individuation occurring. If you are an Aries sun or rising, you listen to this for either. I recommend your rising sign because it will correspond with the whole sign house version of your birth chart, and that means the transits are where they actually are in your birth chart. But sun or rising for Aries in the first house, this is the quintessential house that has to do with Dharma and identity, with body and with what is most core and defining about who you are. This is, in a way, the only house that was referred to as the native's body, spirit, and soul. And so this is very fundamental and existential for Aries right now.
For Aries folks, let's go forward, and we will move this along. For Tauruses, this is taking place in your 12th house, which means the process of individuation may be coming through some kind of blind spot, some part of yourself you haven't given enough attention to, some part of yourself that you can't see. I would think of Taurus as really discovering facets of your being that you haven't gotten in touch with to this point that you didn't even know were there. I would also look at this as those parts of yourself that are most in need of refinement because there might be attitudes or behaviors or blind spots that are keeping you from living most authentically. So what's in the blind spot? Is it a point of discovery for you, Tauruses, right now? A point of discovering some part of yourself that you didn't even know was there or that you've repressed? I could see that being a real potential, as well as needing to check or curb attitudes, behaviors, perceptions that are undermining you and keeping you from your most authentic self-expression. What supports you and what undermines you? For Tauruses.
For Geminis, I look at this in the 11th house, and the process of individuation is running right through the place of allies, groups, friends, community. What wishes and aspirations do you have for the future? And how are those wishes and aspirations connected to parts of yourself that need to be cultivated or that need to be advocated for? The wishes, dreams, hopes, the groups, the people, the allies that you align with—are they in alignment with your truest self? Are they going to help you foster that? Are they going to keep you from that? These are the kinds of questions I could see right now for Geminis becoming really important.
For Cancers, we see that these planets are landing in your 10th house now. That is the place that connects you to the public domain, the public sphere, your public-facing self, the way that your unique Dharma intersects or overlaps with the collective, the historical, and the social dimensions of life outside of the private sphere, outside where who you are within find some intersection with what is without, what is outside. For many Cancers, this will also mean your career. This will mean that there is a process of individuation taking place with respect to the way you show up or want to be seen publicly or socially, or the way you show up in your job or career. And the process of individuation is also taking place with respect to the workplace and the kinds of things that will constitute the path ahead, the new beginnings that are starting at this point moving forward, and are those things serving the growth of your individual nature? Being in the public realm and finding a meaningful way of being there is a very hot topic for Cancers right now, as well as how you're perceived in general.
For Leos, we're looking at this in the ninth house, the place of higher wisdom, the higher mind, your moral, spiritual, philosophical convictions, gurus, sages, teachers, travel abroad. It's interesting to think that the process of individuation for Leos right now is deeply rooted in what you're learning, what you know or feel to be true, what kind of new insights or subjects or topics you're studying or developing some mastery or knowledge of, or even the topic of teaching—maybe developing some new parts of yourself with respect to your capacity to teach others. I like this as a place where, if you pursue and develop your faith, your beliefs, your convictions, your understanding, that these things will contribute to the development of your dharma right now. Your individuation happens through the ninth house. What is that calling for right now? For you, Leos.
For Virgos, we're taking this into the eighth house, and at this point, I'm gonna hold on. Let me just back this up a touch. I'm not gonna be able to get them all in the same house, but you can see that Neptune is just about to move into the eighth there for Virgos. So with this taking place, the thing that comes to my mind for Virgos has to do with which kinds of bonds—the eighth house has so much to do with our bonds, the bonds we share with others, the contracts we hold. It could be financial. It could be legal, contractual, but also emotional, karmic, psychological. What are the contracts that we need to liberate ourselves from because they are holding us back from some authentic part of ourselves? What are the new bonds that we need to make, that we feel are in alignment with parts of ourselves that are wanting to come forth and individuate? A revision of what kinds of bonds and attachments are healthy and foster the most creative personal character development and evolution, versus those that hold you back, are going to be a really important thing to look at here. And also, what healthy cords need to be cut? What cords do you need to cut to be healthier, to be happier? The bonds with other people could be new and fresh and in some ways helping you find or connect to parts of yourself that you haven't yet, or to advocate more strongly for parts of yourself that you haven't, or certain bonds could be suppressing those things. Those are the things to look at through the soul contracts of the eighth house.
Alright, we're looking at Libra rising. We are looking at this solar eclipse, followed by Neptune entering Aries in the seventh house of relationships. This is a very powerful place because for Librans, who are natural harmonizers, natural children of Venus, the emphasis on Mars in the seventh suggests that you have to distinguish yourself from other people in meaningful ways, or other people may need to distinguish themselves from you. It is not always a good idea to keep the peace if it comes at the cost of some authentic part of yourself becoming repressed or being suppressed. It is also really important to note that power differentials, power dynamics be explored and looked at and evaluated. And if there are power dynamics that are unhealthy, that you let go of them. If there's power dynamics that are difficult but necessary—like you take a turn being strong or leading or deciding what will be done, and then someone else does, and that's uncomfortable for you to be in the position of leadership in a relationship, but you need to—then this transit could be all about cultivating a healthier individuality and assertiveness within your relationships. And it could also be a time in which you realize that some people are overpowering and overwhelming, and you've been just keeping the peace, but it's time to say something and do something because you can't be in a dynamic with someone who's walking on you. These are the kinds of things I imagine going on for Libras right now—interpersonal relationships, marriage, sexuality, any kinds of partnerships.
For Scorpios, this combination takes place in your sixth house. So this solar eclipse followed by Neptune entering the sixth—this is a place of labor and sacrifice, as well as the things that we fight for. What is worth fighting for right now? What is worth working and sacrificing for? Where is more effort required in order to be yourself, discover something about yourself, advocate for yourself, feel and look and be the way you want to be, in psychic, physical terms, whatever the case may be? This is a great series of transits for sort of turning up the volume on the inner need to work, labor, sacrifice, struggle passionately toward things that you care about, that you realize, if I don't do this, I'm avoiding something that I need to bring forth for myself. So what's the sacrifice necessary to be yourself, to advocate for yourself, or to bring forth something that needs to come forth from your soul? On the other hand, what are the daily drudgery sacrifices? Where do you feel a little enslaved and unable to be yourself, and is there some call to free yourself or emancipate from various burdens or duties or responsibilities that are stifling you? So an evaluation of energy, an evaluation of effort, an evaluation of what is worth sacrificing. It's also about how we heroically rise to meet various challenges. And there may be some way in which you need to call on things within yourself right now to face challenge or adversity, and that if you do so and you do so bravely, you're also going to find new parts of yourself that you didn't know were there.
Let's move forward now to Sagittarius. So we see here that in the sign of Sagittarius, the Aries transits, the eclipse and Neptune, will be moving into your fifth house. This is the place where we are supposed to be accessing another feature of our dharma, which is that joyful, spontaneous creativity that comes from the soul. It's the playful place of creative gifts that we have. For Sagittarians, there is a call here to individuate along the lines of new creative risks that you're ready to take. There may be also a way in which you have to fight for or expend energy or effort or advocate for some creative part of you that makes you happy, that if you don't advocate for it, it'll fall by the wayside. And so some valiant, noble struggle for those things that you find joyful, beautiful, and pleasing. You know, life is supposed to include a certain amount of creative satisfaction, of happiness, joy, connection, harmony. This is the house that was called the joy of Venus. What creative, pleasurable things do you need to assert right now, or do you need to stand up for? This is also maybe an inceptional point for something like children or pregnancy, or some new chapter with respect to things like your children. I could also see this as a place where new creative visions and the seeds of new creative endeavors are being planted. For Sagittarians in general, not just with pregnancy.
Alright, for Capricorns, we see this sequence happening in your fourth house. It's weighty down there. It's like the energy of a brand-new start with respect to home and family. There is no place more painful for most of us and difficult that we must individuate from in and through than our families, where we grew up, how we grew up, how we were raised. We have to somehow distinguish ourselves, become our own person. This is a house that has to do with everything that is within, deep within. It's the private sphere of life, the home and family sphere of life. So there could be marked—you know, a marked period of transformation around home and family roots, your living environment, but it's also about what parts of yourself that are deepest and within and most private need to be developed, cultivated, loved, and brought out. And that could lead to some forms of conflict or challenge or adversity that has to be faced courageously with respect to home, family, and the private sphere of life. But there is a season of revolution happening at the roots for Capricorns right now.
For Aquarians, we're looking at this in the third house, and all of this entering the third house immediately. What I think of is there is something that needs to be communicated, something that needs to be spoken or written, something a skill that needs to be developed, a talent or an ability that is ready to be showcased or that will be in the future if you start developing it now. There's also maybe some major points of challenge with peers or siblings, some competition or rivalry, as well as maybe a kind of athletic urge or impulse to compete or develop certain kinds of mental or physical strength or power. Also, I look at this combination of planets in the house, and I think, what are you changing in the immediate environment around you? What new beginnings are happening with respect to things like culture, village, city, you know, neighborhood? Sometimes there's an instigation of change in what the local environment looks like or needs to look like that we make when major transits happen in the third house. But also, it's about intellectual and communicative risks. It's about asserting and saying things that need to be said. There's a way in which you may be individuating intellectually right now, communicatively, and with respect to asserting yourself relative to other people. Aquarians are also naturally pretty good at harmonization with others socially. They're very socially skilled. This is maybe a little bit rough around the edges in the way that you need to convey or communicate things. Otherwise, your need to belong or identify with various groups or collectives could become a form of self-repression. So be careful of that, and let yourself speak your mind without burning bridges.
Finally, with Pisces, we see these energies all forming in the second house, the place that is associated with your time, your money, your energy, your resources, what you have, what you own, what you possess. Income and expenditures are found here, but also the cultivation of skills and abilities—that which we depend or rely on, that we can also grow or develop. And so all of these planets in this house suggest a new chapter for things like money and finances or resources and assets, the development or cultivation of new skills that constitute a part of yourself that you know is there but needs to be developed, or a part of you that's been there but hasn't been developed because you've been scared to, or you're going to be cultivating or developing brand-new parts of yourself, maybe because you're experiencing a shift in things like business or money or skills, new skills or developments of inner resources that can bring about other kinds of financial or material changes in your life. So really fascinating to see all of that newness taking place in the house that is usually associated with things like assets, resources, skill development, and money. So a lot of focus there for Pisceans.
Well, that is a tour through the signs. I hope that this preps you. We did spend more extended time with all of these transits for the entire month of March. At the beginning of the month, horoscopes are pinned to the top of the page until the beginning of April, so you could still take a look at those and revisit them for even more detailed takes from both me, Dana, and Alex. But that is it for now. I hope this is useful to you. Good luck, everybody. I hope you have a great weekend. Please remember to share your stories. If you got a good story to share with the eclipse or with the ingress of Neptune into Aries, you can make quite a splash with these two events. They're very strong. Use the hashtag. Grab, tell us the transit. Tell us your story, or email it to us at NightlightAstrology.com. I hope to have some good stories to share from all of you in the weeks and months ahead. Alright, we'll see you again soon. Bye, everyone.
Awesome! Love your unique integrated perspectives, and presented without noise.
