The Moon is just past Full in Libra.
Here’s what to watch for:
* Venus and Saturn’s square continues and will stay tightly configured for the rest of this month. The themes of maturity, respect, duty, seriousness, commitment, focus, labor, age, time, and gravity in love, beauty, and relationships of all kinds is amplified right now. Along with this are the more challenging themes of death, difficulty, obstruction, decay, separation, hardship, alienation, loneliness, ignorance, and loss in the same areas of love, beauty, and relationships. The theme of women and the hardships and wisdom of women comes to mind, as well as public image, reputation, and perception challenges. Also, the idea of work and progress slowing down for the sake of enjoyment and pleasure comes to mind right now. Watch as this theme continues to grow as Venus stations in the coming days.
* The Sun is still engaged in the t-square with Jupiter, Uranus, and Pluto, but is now heading into a conjunction with Uranus. The Sun/Uranus conjunction intensifies the Sun in Aries themes of heroism, leaders and rulers, force and power, muscle and rank, nobility, virtue and honor, wisdom and clarity, action and impulse, while also infusing the Sun with the themes of revolution, emancipation, protest, resistance, defiance, iconoclasm, invention, breakthrough, surprise, and novelty. At the same time, these Solar/Uranian themes are pitted against the fair-minded, justice oriented, due-processes of Jupiter in Libra, and the transformational, unseen, unconscious or underworld powers of Pluto in Capricorn. It’s a time of personal empowerment, breakthrough, and discovery, and also purgation, healing, or the uprooting of what’s been hidden or kept sick inside for too long. As these changes occur, there is the distinct sense of cosmic justice and judgment playing out around us, as well as deep concerns about where the law or due process or fairness is failing us. All of these dynamics can be empowering and even healing for us right now, but much depends on our ability to be empowered without being overpowering, to be respectful of both the cosmic “yes” and the cosmic “no.” We may regain something of a lost or troubled trust and faith in the intelligence of forces greater than ourselves, but it depends on our ability to be witnesses right now as much as we try to act as the captains of our own destinies or the judge and jury of every last event.
* Finally, Mercury has just turned retrograde in the sign of the Bull, while Mars is co-present in the Bull. This idea of stubborn, willful resistance or courageous resolve comes to mind right now. Where minds and hearts are hell bent on denying something, watch as they slowly may have to change their point of view. Where methods, routines, or structures meant to create security are too tough, watch as they slowly start to reverse their position. Mercury retrograde in the Bull may also pertain to environmental news, announcements, technology, or policy changes, or technological discoveries or breakdowns related to environmental or ecological issues. Mercury in the Bull is also hosted by Venus who is in a standoff with Saturn as she herself stations in the coming days. Mercury’s message for us will therefore be part of the ongoing challenges and demands of the Venus/Saturn dynamics listed above.
Prayer: Help us to stop and smell the cosmic roses…the petals of the planets moved by the winds of space and time.
