Hey, everyone. This is Adam Elenbaas from Nightlight Astrology (https://nightlightastrology.com/). Happy Monday, everybody. Today we're going to take a look at the astrology for the week ahead, from February 24 through March 2. There are a number of transits coming up this week, making it a very busy week for Mercury. Venus is turning retrograde, and we also have a Sun square to Jupiter, a New Moon in Pisces, and a whole bunch of other stuff to talk about.
I'm going to give you some very brief analysis of these transits, which we will unpack in detail as the week goes on. I will also be mentioning which whole signs will be getting angular transits. This week, we'll be looking at the mutable signs with the New Moon in Pisces, and we're looking at the cardinal signs with Venus turning retrograde in Aries. Of course, when it comes to Venus in Aries coverage and the retrograde, I'll be doing more detailed horoscopes later in the week as that retrograde approaches into the weekend.
So, it's a big week astrologically, and we're going to look at each transit as the week goes on, giving you some things to watch for and also what to expect from the content on this channel in the week ahead. That's our goal for today. Before we get into it, remember to like and subscribe. It really does help our channel to grow when you take a second to like and subscribe. If you're not, it's obviously free to do so.

We have a great staff of readers, and you can check out the live events page for webinars coming up in March and April as well.
If you missed the Venus retrograde webinar last week, we looked at Venus's entire synodic cycle. You can still get the recording of that in case you missed it. But all right, on that note, let's turn our attention to the real-time clock and take a look at the astrology we have coming up this week.
Well, today, Monday, there are no major astrological aspects perfecting, so we're going to go forward a day and talk about Mercury conjoining Saturn tomorrow. On Tuesday, February 25, you're going to see Mercury in Pisces conjoining Saturn in the sign of Pisces. Mercury has a big week. It's also going to make a sextile to Uranus and a conjunction to Neptune, so it's a busy week for Mercury.
Now, Mercury is in the sign of its fall and has an interesting form of mutual reception with Jupiter in Gemini, while being in Jupiter's temple of Pisces. So, there's a little bit of mitigation in the sky for the dignity of Mercury, but Mercury in its fall, combining with Saturn, could make this a week where there are some emotional, mental, or communicative blocks. We may face limitations in what we can say or convey, or what we can find words for. We may reach a point of having to really look at and not try to avoid a difficult emotional topic.
There's a weight in the air mentally and emotionally this week, with the dark moon coming through at the same time. I could see this as a period of letting go or of saying things that are hard but necessary, of looking for the truth amidst a realm of opinions or perceptions. It may not be easy to find, but you have to sort of get to the bottom of things and make sure you're being very real.
So, that Mercury-Saturn contact, I think, is a little bit difficult to begin the week, but it can also result in things like greater depth of emotions, feelings, and thoughts, as well as a kind of maturity around things like mental and emotional health and communication. As the week goes on, two days later, on Thursday, we are then going to see a very brief sextile from Mercury to Uranus.
Oh gosh, do I not have the outer planets plugged in? I don't. Wow, silly me. All right, here we go. So, we can see here the contact between Mercury and Uranus, which is coming through on the 27th, that's Thursday of this week. So, Mercury, really, for the majority of this five-day week, is a prominent player.
Now, going from Saturn to Uranus strikes me as a very good thing. We go from something a little bit limiting or known or defined, and we have to kind of reconcile and do the hard work of owning up or reaching the limit or barrier of something. And then Mercury contacts Uranus, where that thought of liberation, freedom, creative originality, and breakthroughs is more pronounced. So, from limit to breakthrough as the week goes on for Mercury, that seems like a good thing.
Mercury-Uranus is inventive. When they work together harmoniously, there's a kind of smooth, easy way in which communication, thoughts, ideas, or problem-solving can flow. It's a very innovative contact between these two planets, and I love that it's following the contact with Saturn. I think that's pretty auspicious.
Now, if we go on later in the day on the 27th, let's advance this by some hours, and we're going to see that the New Moon in Pisces comes around. This is Thursday evening, Central Time in the USA, that we have our New Moon in the sign of Pisces. Now, that New Moon in Pisces is also moving into a square with Jupiter. It's in the three-degree engagement range, which means that our cycle ahead is very Jupiterian.
With Jupiter having recently turned direct, I really like this signature. I feel that this is a cycle in which we may start to restore faith or have a growing or clear sense of momentum that's developing or supporting us. There's also a feeling of faith and doubt synthesizing, the rational and sort of otherworldly parts of ourselves maybe coming together.
I like this combination of a New Moon with a square to Jupiter in Gemini for things like spiritual science, quantum mechanics, the faith, the intangible, the mystical side of us, or the romantic or imaginative side of us, melding with the communicative, rational dimensions of Mercury, with Jupiter and Mercury in the sign of Gemini. I also like this Moon cycle as very watery and otherworldly. The North Node and Neptune are together for this cycle, which I think really amplifies some of the more watery, romantic, mystical themes of the Moon cycle itself.
So, this could also be a cycle in which we're really looking at a restoration of faith or understanding, or something is shifting with our understanding or outlook. That would be totally in line with a cycle that features a strong connection to Jupiter. So, those sequences between February 25, that's Tuesday, and Thursday, are Mercury-centric, followed by this New Moon in Pisces.
We switch forward into the weekend, and things like the whole vibe gets really different. The Moon is going to be in Aries on Saturday, March 1, while Venus is stationing and turning retrograde in Aries. So, it becomes this very fiery day. Now, there is mutual reception between the Moon and Mars in Cancer. So, we're thinking a little bit like this initial Venus retrograde has a bit of a boiling pot of water feeling behind it.
I will say that I think it's good that the Venus retrograde kicks off with the mutual reception between the Moon and Mars. Since Mars is Venus retrograde's host, there's something that Venus and Mars are working out—the masculine and feminine, the push and pull between my will and your will, our way versus my way, your way versus my way. There are definitely some tensions that might be quite emotional, and there might be a theme of emotional self-centeredness in the air, whether that's in ourselves or other people we are dealing with.
It could also be about things that we have to look at or address that are very emotionally charged or that have some background things like marriage and family, with Venus being hosted by Mars in Cancer. So, I look at this transit and I go, okay, we've got a real fiery Venus retrograde coming now. We're going to look at that later in the week in depth. So, just a few things here, but that is the big news for this week: Venus turning retrograde in Aries.
Now, on March 2, our final day of this week, Mercury is going to conjoin Neptune. It's like it has to do a little bit more. Mercury's got a big week: conjunction to Saturn, sextile to Uranus, conjunction to Neptune, going through the North Node. By the way, Mercury gets real otherworldly. And there is—I wonder, with Venus turning retrograde and at the same time, Mercury going through the conjunction to Neptune in the North Node—I wonder what the connection is between the kind of otherworldly, non-linear mental, emotional space and the shifting of Venus. If those two things are connected, is that a good thing? Is that a problematic thing? I can kind of see it going both ways.
So, that's something we'll also explore at the end of the week when we talk about Venus retrograde. I'm going to save most of my thoughts for then. But it is a very imaginative, otherworldly, synchronistic time. Things happen. Things come through in dreams, non-ordinary states of consciousness, and also the tendency to lose our groundedness can happen with that Mercury-Neptune contact. So, the fact that that is happening right as Venus is turning retrograde could provide the initial sequence of events that the Venus retrograde will be focused on. So, that is an interesting way of thinking about it, and again, we'll come back to that later in the week.
Finally, on the same day, Sunday is a busy day. We're also going to see the Sun. Remember, the New Moon was squaring Jupiter, so the Sun, three days later, basically goes through the square to Jupiter while being in Jupiter's sign. I do like this for a sense of confidence, clarity, a kind of positive momentum, a sense of faith and optimism, hope and support, but also maybe that kind of bravado or bluster or arrogance or bigness that gets a little out of control. Does that contribute to the initial discord or conflict that Venus retrograde is bringing, or the kind of ungroundedness of Mercury-Neptune? I don't know.
I could see this being a day where loud and not necessarily grounded or real voices somehow create a little bit of conflict in key relationships or spaces that become more disharmonious because of a kind of bluster or bravado, as well as an ungroundedness or a super idealistic, almost manic kind of quality. But anyway, we will again, as the week goes on, get closer to that, and we'll be looking at that transit as well.
So, I want to say, to conclude today, which signs are getting what? Well, let's first start with the New Moon in Pisces. For all of the mutable signs, this New Moon, as well as a ton of Mercury stuff happening with Saturn and Neptune in the North Node, will be taking place in the whole sign house of Pisces, which is angular for all mutable signs. So, if you're a Gemini, this week, you're going to watch for the career house being majorly activated. If you are a Virgo, your relationship house is getting major activation from these transits. If you are a Sagittarius, this is landing in the house of home and family roots, living environment, ancestral karma, etc. And if you are a Pisces, this is happening in the house of identity, body, health, psychology, that process of individuation, of self-development that's indicated by the first house.
Now, moving on to later in the week, the other signs that are getting major action this week in angular houses are going to be the cardinal signs with Venus turning retrograde. If you're an Aries rising, this is in the house of identity, body, your self-concept. And the fact that Venus is turning retrograde here could be something like a makeover on a personal or psychological level, but it has some overlap with your identity and how you relate to other people. Venus being retrograde in your first house.
Now, if you're a Cancer, this is happening in your career house, public-facing self, and the arena that you work in or that you show up in, the more public, social, civic setting of your life. So, watch for the Venus retrograde creating a shift of direction or a change of plans or a revision of some kind in that area. If you're a Libra, of course, this is happening in your house of relationships—interpersonal relationships, romantic relationships, marriages. A focus on something changing for an existing partner doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing, but watch for Venus retrograde in the house of relationships.
And finally, for Capricorns, this angularity is the fourth house. So, the angular fourth is the place of home, family, roots, foundations, parents, ancestral karma, living environment. So, think about some real shifts and changes happening in that area. Sometimes they're very mundane, like something's changing in the physical environment of your home, or something needs fixing or replacing. It can also be about relationships and the intersection between family karma and relationships. So, watch for those things happening.
The fixed signs are not as busy this week in your angular houses, but we will be looking at all horoscopes for that Venus retrograde toward the end of the week. So, I can promise you that we'll get a more detailed look at Venus's retrograde, as well as those massive transits happening in Aries throughout the entire month of March. We have a Venus retrograde followed by a Mercury retrograde, followed by a solar eclipse in Aries, followed by Neptune entering Aries, all in the month of March. So, it's going to be lit, as the kids say.
All right, that's it for today. I hope that this was a good start to your week, and we will see you again for more tomorrow. Bye-bye.
