Astrology is a lifelong study.
The books listed here represent the philosophical, technical, psychological, and spiritual foundations that inform the work we do at Nightlight. Some of these are core supplemental texts tied directly to specific programs. Others are works I frequently reference or draw from across different courses.
You are never required to purchase everything on this list. Many of these are long-term investments that students grow into over time.
This is our primary technical text for horary.
I studied with John Frawley in private apprenticeship, and his method forms the backbone of how I teach horary practice. Clear, direct, and rooted in traditional principles, this book provides the core structure for the entire program.
We do not systematically teach from Lilly, but students should be familiar with him. Without the revival of Christian Astrology in the late 20th century, horary likely would not have returned as a living tradition.
Many of his technical principles and examples remain foundational to horary practice.
Especially important in the horary program.
Cornelius himself was a horary astrologer, and his argument that astrology functions as divination becomes particularly clear when working with question charts. If you have not read this in earlier programs, horary is the time to do so.
