A Daily Community Meditation Gathering
Quiet Practice at Nightlight
In a busy and noisy world, quiet offers a rare gift: the chance to return to ourselves, to one another, and to the simple presence of being.
Beginning in 2026, we are opening a daily space to sit quietly together in community. This is not a school. It is not a religion. There are no doctrines, no techniques to master, and no dogmas to follow. It is simply time set aside to sit quietly — because of the value that quiet brings to our lives, and because of the value of sitting together.
Whether you are an astrologer, a student of the stars, or someone who simply longs for a few minutes of grounded stillness to begin the day, you are welcome.
What to Expect
Monday–Saturday
We meet Monday through Saturday at:
9:30 AM Eastern
Each weekday gathering lasts 20 minutes.
We begin on time and sit quietly together. You may close your eyes, rest your gaze softly, reflect, pray, breathe, or simply sit. There are no instructions beyond honoring the quiet and the shared space.
These weekday sittings are simple by design — a centering point at the start of the day. A daily anchor. A small act of alignment before entering the world.
This offering will continue daily for the remainder of 2026. At the end of the year, we will revisit and discern what comes next. For now, the commitment is simple: a shared daily space for quiet.
Silent Sundays
Sunday mornings remain something special.
Silent Sundays meet at:
11:30 AM Eastern
On Sundays, we sit for 30 minutes in quiet.
After the sitting, there is an optional period of reflection and sharing — a time for participants to speak about what arose, to integrate insights, or simply to connect. Over time, this has become something of a crown jewel of the week: a place where the quiet deepens into community, and where presence turns into shared understanding.
Silent Sundays hold the same spirit — no doctrine, no dogma — but allow space for conversation and integration that the weekday mornings intentionally leave open.
As Plutarch reminds us:
“Silence at the proper season is wisdom, and better than any speech.”
Why a Daily Sitting?
At Nightlight, the deepest value of our work has always come from lived practice. Sixteen years of professional astrology have taught me that insight matures when it is rooted in daily discipline — in a rhythm of returning, listening, and reflecting.
My own daily practices have changed over the years, but sitting quietly has been one of the most consistent threads.
This daily offering was born in the atmosphere of the Saturn–Neptune conjunction of 2026 — a time that calls for both structure and surrender. My hope is that those studying astrology, or simply following along with Nightlight’s work, might weave contemplation into study. When astrology is married to a daily inward practice, something profound happens: insight becomes embodied.
