This retreat has been many years in the making. It’s born out of the lineage I’ve been honored to carry — a lineage in which astrology is understood first and foremost as divination. It’s what my teachers passed on to me, and what I’ve sought to keep alive through the work we do at Nightlight Astrology School.
This training is an opportunity to return to the roots — to ask again: What is astrology? How does it work? What sacred posture do we take when we approach the chart as an oracle?
Over six days together, we’ll dive deeply into these questions through study, group practice, spiritual listening, and ceremony. This retreat complements everything we teach in our online programs, but it’s also something entirely unique: an in-person immersion into the oracular heart of astrology — into its purpose, power, and legacy.

Mount Olivet Conference & Retreat Center
Our retreat will be held at Mount Olivet Conference & Retreat Center, a peaceful haven nestled on 154 acres of woods, lakes, and rolling prairie in Farmington, Minnesota—just 35 minutes south of Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport.
Accommodations range from comfortable hotel-style rooms with two full-sized beds and a private bath, to dormitory-style rooms that sleep up to eight, fostering both solitude and communal connection. The retreat center offers a serene and nourishing environment with chef-prepared meals made from scratch, sourced locally and from an on-site organic garden, with dietary needs happily accommodated.
You'll have ample free time to rest, reflect, and recharge with access to peaceful amenities—an indoor pool, whirlpool, sauna, cozy lounges, a meditation room, five miles of trails, a prayer labyrinth, and fire pits.

Accommodations at Mount Olivet are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage you to book early to secure your preferred option.
Please note that all on-site rooms involve shared occupancy, designed to foster connection and community throughout our time together. You can choose between:
Double Room – Shared with one other participant (billed at a per-person rate). Perfect for coming with a friend or making a new one.
Dormitory-Style Room – Shared with up to seven other guests. A wonderful budget-friendly option that creates a vibrant, communal atmosphere.
If you are registering with a specific friend and would like to share a double room, simply indicate their full name on your registration form — just be sure they list you as well to confirm the pairing.
To make your decision easier, we offer generous early-bird discounts and flexible payment plans.

Not planning to stay overnight at Mount Olivet? No problem. We offer a Commuter Pass option for those who live locally or prefer to arrange their own off-site accommodations.

Faculty
I’m Adam Elenbaas. I teach people how to interpret the language of astrology and read birth charts as a way to share insight into daily life.
Since opening my practice in 2010, I've completed over 10,000 birth chart readings and led more than 2500 students through my natal and horary astrology programs. Many of my students have gone on to cultivate dedicated professional practices.
My personal practice sprang from my studies of ayahuasca shamanism spanning more than 10 years and 100 ceremonies. Upon discovering deep meaning in the patterns of the sky, I began consulting formal teachers, who taught me the practical history, craft, and philosophy of astrology.
I now weave aspects from my diverse spiritual and traditional studies into my courses and apprenticeships. My goal is to give you, my students, a practical and spiritual platform from which to view and practice astrology in the world today.

Ashley Elenbaas
Ashley Elenbaas, M.Sc., RH(AHG), E-RYT 200 is a clinical herbalist, retreat facilitator, and experienced yoga teacher with over 15 years of leading wellness retreats in the U.S. and Costa Rica. As one of the co-organizers of the Nightlight Astrology Retreat, Ashley helps support participants with care and ease, serving as a liaison with the retreat center and ensuring a smooth, nourishing experience for all.
Ashley holds a Master’s in Clinical Herbal Medicine and is a Registered Herbalist with the American Herbalists Guild. She is also an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 200) with over 28 years of study and 23 years of teaching experience. She has led Yoga Teacher Trainings and currently teaches yoga to women in in-patient recovery.
At the retreat, Ashley will guide morning yoga and movement sessions and facilitate plant medicine workshops that blend story, sensory experience, and nature connection.

Before booking, please see our policies below.
Refund Policy: A $500 non-refundable booking fee applies. Cancellations made more than 180 days before the retreat receive a refund of all payments minus the $500 fee. Cancellations between 180 and 91 days receive a 50% refund of amounts paid beyond the $500 deposit. No refunds are given for cancellations 90 days or fewer before arrival. In case of illness or force majeure, we may reschedule or cancel; if so, you receive a full refund (if >180 days) or a transfer to a future retreat (if <180 days). Travel insurance with trip cancellation coverage is strongly recommended.
Getting to the Retreat: Participants must arrange their own flights to Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport (MSP). Transfers to and from Mount Olivet are not provided and must be arranged independently at your own cost. Commuter passes do not include accommodation or daily transport.
Course Withdrawal: Withdrawal requests must be submitted in writing to info@nightlightastrology.com. The standard refund policy (including the non-refundable $500 deposit) applies.
