What if the quietest phase of the lunar cycle held the weight of years—even lifetimes?
You're standing at the threshold of a balsamic Moon in Pisces, the final exhale before the new begins. This isn't just another moon phase. It's the closing of a fourteen-year story that began with Neptune in Pisces in 2011. Saturn has left. Eclipses have passed. Now, as Mercury follows, only this dark Moon remains to gather what's been learned, loved, and released.

Hey everyone. This is Adam Elenbaas from Nightlight Astrology [https://nightlightastrology.com/].
Happy Monday, everybody. Today we are going to talk about the balsamic Moon in Pisces.
And the reason that we're talking about a balsamic moon on a Monday is because this is really the last thing happening in Pisces, as well as Mercury leaving the sign, and the North Node about to leave the sign.
We're sort of done with a huge era of Piscean experiences, Piscean karma, you might say.
And although we looked at this a few weeks ago, we looked at the culmination of things happening in Pisces, we're going to do so again right now, because we're in a balsamic moon phase that could have some sneaky, deep places of release, closure and completion, psychically, emotionally and also in the world around you.
I'm going to do some horoscopes for you today, as I explain a little bit more about the logic behind this, I think very powerful. It's very powerful balsamic moon phase. So that's our agenda for today.
Before we get into it as always, remember to like and subscribe. Give us a little thumbs up. Subscribe if you haven't yet, because that is how we grow. It is the simplest way. You get notifications that way, and you know when we've got new videos, and it also helps us grow and sustain what we do. So thank you.
You can find transcripts of any of these daily talks on the website that's Nightlight astrology.com head over to the website.
Couple of things to promote before we get into today's content. Go to the events page. Click on community quiet. We have daily meditation. It's free at Nightlight seven days a week, plus a group sharing and processing session after meditation on Sundays called Silent Sundays.
Everything's laid out here. It's free to join. The Zoom link is right there to join. I hope to see you there. This is a way that we have a pairing spiritual practice with the study of astrology, which I believe, personally, is deeply important. So I hope you'll check that out and come join us.
Book a reading. I am back doing readings for the first time in several years. I'm doing readings again. These are recorded readings. You can see the format and the different types of readings. If you go to the book a reading page, click on readings with Adam.
Now, if these aren't interesting to you, or you want a traditional Zoom meeting, consultation style, the price point isn't exactly what you need. You need something a little bit more affordable. Go to the need based astrology readings. You can work with staff at different tiered pricings.
So I hope that you'll check that out and that that will be of service to all of you. I'm very excited to be back doing readings. Excited about these new formats, horary readings are still there as well, if you want to find those.
Next thing to share with you is the monthly webinars. My webinar for the month of April is coming up. I'm giving a deep dive talk into the philosophical meaning of the sun, going into ancient metaphysics, ancient philosophy, not just the sun is ego or the sun is your personality or whatever the case might be that we say in modern astrology.
But what did this planet actually mean? What did they think that it represented these ancient astrologers in terms of the archive or first principles of the universe? We're going to get into that.
And then we're going to talk about what it means when the sun is aspecting different planets rooted in this philosophical meaning of the Sun. This is going to be a way to take your understanding of the sun to a whole new level.
Register for that talk. It is April 3. Thursday night. When you register, you get the link to attend the live webinar. If you can't get it, you get the recording later.
Last but not least, our annual retreat, we have three rooms left. Three rooms left, meaning these are paired rooms here with a roommate, so six total people left that can come on the retreat at the need based rate.
This takes the price of the retreat down to just your lodging and food. We take away our fee. Try to make it accessible for a few more people. This is happening in Mexico in June. If you're interested, email us info at Nightlight astrology.com,
Adam Elenbaas
all right, that's it for promotions for the day. Let's turn on the real time clock. Let's go visit with nechep.
So the new astrology software guys are going to be coming out this month to talk more about nechep. So I'm an affiliate. You can find the link in the comments or description if you want this absolutely awesome, cutting edge astrology software that I've just started using.
Check it out. I'm working on the background. It's not the background is not what I want it to be yet, but I'm kind of creating my own template. So I agree with you that for those of you who are mentioning that the background is a little distracting, so there'll be a little bit more adjustments to the visual here, which I know for some people, the size was an issue. I think we fixed that now, but here's what we're dealing with.
I'm going to get my epic pen out, because I could never abandon my epic pen. And what I want you to notice is that as of today, Monday, April 13, Moon is in the sign of Pisces. Now that's all fine and dandy, but the really important thing to notice is that this is a balsamic moon.
It's just behind the sign of the sun. I always give the balsamic moon the definition of the 12th whole sign relative to the Sun sign. In other words, when it's coming around, it's one whole sign behind the sun, give or take, maybe up to 30 degrees away.
So we have a little bit more than that right now, but we are in the 12th place relative to the sun's place, and that was important for ancient astrologers. The other thing to note. Is that you might be like, Why are we? Why are we talking about Pisces again, there's not a lot happening.
There's a balsamic moon, but it's like, a couple days long. And you know, some of the aspects are pretty positive. North node is going to hit Venus. It's going to hit sextiles and trine to Jupiter. Like, why are we? What's there to write home about with this?
But here's the deal. I want to show you what is about to happen. So when I animate this, I want to show you what's going to happen if I go forward a day to Tuesday, April 14, and one more to Wednesday, April 15, as this balsamic Moon is coming through Pisces.
Over the next two days, it'll barely enter Aries by Wednesday morning. So between now and Wednesday morning, we're in a balsamic Moon in Pisces phase. And as that's happening, Mercury is leaving Pisces.
Now you might be like, well, you know, we're going to talk about Mercury Neptune. That's a separate talk. We're going to talk about Mercury running through Neptune, Mars, Saturn, big Mercury transits and Aries. A lot of things happening in Aries, that's sort of the big firework show.
But in the sign of Pisces, we have the closure of, quite literally, a massively long era of focus on that whole sign house in our birth charts. The reason for that is that Saturn's been in Pisces for the past two and a half years.
It leaves in February, then right after it leaves, we have this massive lineup of planets move through Pisces. We have the North Node still in the sign of Pisces. But let me tell you, the north node of the moon is going to leave that in August, and we will, aside from the moon passing through every month, we will not have any more.
You know, major events taking place with massive lineups of planets. What to speak of Neptune leaving Pisces after dating all the way back to 2011 Neptune was in the sign of Pisces the past two and a half years Saturn, the past year and a half eclipses the past couple of months, a massive lineup of planets moving through Pisces. You see what I mean.
So there is, I don't think this is unrealistic. I don't think I'm just digging for content. I promise you there is a very real chance that you're going to be experiencing what feels like the closure of a very long era of your life under this balsamic moon.
Now that might be subtle. It might be just a little kiss in the wind, but you will notice it if you pay attention. That's my that's my claim. Anyway, that's my hypothesis.
I can already see this as I'm making this right now. I make these about a week in advance because we have it takes a while to prep all the content, edit everything, whatever. But as you are seeing this, as I'm seeing this, I can already sense where this closure is happening. I can already see the outlines of what's really winding down.
So the first thing to note like, let's just talk before we get into some horoscopic, horary, brief, horoscopic reminders of the whole sign house in your chart. Let's just try to make it really obvious why a balsamic Moon is kind of the perfect last thing to happen as the last planet leaves the sign of Pisces.
And as we're now sort of really clear, a balsamic Moon is about the last closing phase of a cycle. I want to compare it. I know this is like, not my wheelhouse, because I don't have a menstrual cycle.
Adam Elenbaas
But for, you know, living with, you know, obviously living with my wife and and, you know, growing up having a sister like I can say that I think this, this analogy works pretty well.
Um, when, when a when a woman's going through her period? And you all tell me, if you think this is accurate, I don't mean to speak out of place, right, but when a woman's going through a period at the very end of her cycle, there's like a last, a last day, and I can report this with my wife all of the time, where it'll be like, she'll be like, it's, it's all it's basically done, right?
But, you know, it doesn't, doesn't feel like fully over. It feels like the last little pieces of the uterine lining are clearing out, and that's kind of gross, but this is kind of, I mean, it's not gross at all to me, but, I mean, I don't know it's like, kind of a graphic image, is what I mean to to put it mildly, though, that's what it feels like when you're at the very end of a cycle.
It's like, there's been a cleansing, there's been a deep releasing. It's a natural part of the rhythms of life. It's sort of beautiful, but it's also sort of like, you not the way my wife would put it. I can hear her voice in my head is, I don't fully feel like reset yet.
I'm like, it's mostly done, but in another day or two, I'll feel really like, like my periods really over. I'm using this exam. Because the moon's cycle is obviously linked to menstrual cycles and women and fertility and birth and pregnancy and the whole thing.
But the reason that I think it's really interesting is that it's like a very deep level of decomposition or of shedding or of letting go is, is what I'm getting at here and in a balsamic moon that's happening as the last planet leaves Pisces and everything is really done.
You could feel like it's like the last day or two of a very long cycle, and you can see most of the work's been done. It there might even be a bittersweet quality, because you're sort of going wow, look at all the change that's happened in that area of my life.
Look at all that I've gotten clear on. Look at all that I've understood. Look at all the insight. But that dark moon may have you still sitting in what feels like the final moments of release. You don't quite feel like you're refreshed in a new cycle. Does that make sense?
You ladies out there who have menstrual cycles? You tell me if that feels like an analogy that works. And so I think right now you could also just think, whoever's listening to this, and whatever your physical experience is like that, the whole sign house of Pisces right now carries the very last vestiges, or remnants, of a lot, a lot of history and work, at least going back to Neptune in 2011 more recently, the past couple years with Saturn in in in Pisces, last year and a half with eclipses and Pisces.
Wow. It really does feel like, okay, this is it. This is the, the last, you know, kind of closing moments. So in terms of, just like, basic advice that I have for making sense of this, apart from the horoscopes I'm about to give you, I would say, think about, reflect back on the work from the past couple of years, two or three, let's say all the way to 2011 What have you been learning in this area of life?
What is the cumulative effect been? What have more recent peak experiences been like? And let's see if we can't use some horoscopes to further refine now, all right, I'm going to bring up the screen and this dark moon in Pisces that we're playing with.
Let's I'm going to back this up by two days. Here we go to Monday, and now we're going to switch to hour on the chip. So guys, I really love this software program. I'm so excited about it.
Adam Elenbaas
Okay, we don't have the live stream scheduled yet. As soon as we do have it scheduled, I will let you know when it's happening. They're going to come back and talk about the program.
Okay, here's Aries rising. So I'm going to run through these not I'm not gonna like full blown horoscopes. I'm just gonna remind you of some of the topics that you should be thinking about right now.
For Aries, it's truly that 12th house material. It's otherworldly, it's mystical, it's unconscious, it's a blind spot. It's about what supports versus undermines you in yourself or in other people or groups or environments.
It's a focus on other worldly things that sometimes feel like they're competing or harshly contrasting with the ego or your sense of control. It's sometimes it's mental, emotional health or things that overwhelm you.
There's been a lot of emphasis on this for Aries, I have to say, for you, Aries folks, getting things into your first house where you can kind of see them. That's got to feel like a shift that you're ready for. So think about that. If you're in Aries.
Let's go forward to Taurus. For me, I'm a Taoist rising. Gosh, I think about this one. I've, like I said, I've been thinking about this a lot lately. So it's groups, it's communities, it's maybe the field or network of colleagues and the like.
For me, the 11th house is so much about the field and community space of astrology, social media, philosophy, religion. I have Pisces in the 11th Jupiter ruled sign kind of makes sense, right?
But you want to think, if you're a Taurus rising about what's being let go of at a very deep level, around the exchanges in communities and groups and the exchanges of values or beliefs or of resources.
What have you really gained from others in groups or communities? What have you given? Where are you? How have you reoriented the past couple of years around group community dynamics or spaces?
Really, really fascinating to see a long chapter coming to a close. Think back to 2011 and how group, community space has changed in your life, social also social definitions of happiness, of acceptance or success. How has that changed or shifted so for Tao is the end.
Of a long cycle in that 11th house for Geminis, it's your career house. Where have you been creatively, professionally? What has your direction, vocation or calling looked like from 2011 or over the past two to three years? And what has changed?
What what has been draining you versus fulfilling you? What direction has clarified itself. Or what kind of Crossroads Have you been at while Saturn's been in that house? What new opportunities have been brought about by the North Node eclipses there? Or what new or renewed sense of faith purpose or direction Have you experienced?
So for Geminis, it's really squarely in the career area, or public reputation in general, what you're known for, what you do publicly, now for cancers, we're looking at this in the ninth house, which is the place of faith and your beliefs.
What have you been learning about the nature of reality, God, Goddess, truth since Neptune entered in 2011 What has your relationship to spirituality and religion looked like or faith or learning or education, or if you yourself are a teacher or educator, what kinds of things have happened along that timeline, more recently, the past couple of years?
What has happened around faith, beliefs, teaching teachers, religion, philosophy, what have you been learning? What? How has your paradigm shifted over the past couple of years, and in what way are things being brought to closure or resolution?
Now, I find it really fascinating, for example, that as this balsamic Moon comes through, you know, for my wife, who's a cancer rising, she's going to be going on this trip to Italy to see Southern Italy, which is where her ancestors are from, and she's going to be visiting the sites of goddesses.
And past couple of years have been a lot about the study of goddesses and kind of the way of looking at faith and religion through the lens of the Goddess. That's a powerful pilgrimage that she's making, as this balsamic Moon comes through, she's really gathering and in some ways harvesting the results of an entire cycle, right?
And so there's some deep letting go and shifting still left to do in that ninth house for cancers right now, too. All right?
Adam Elenbaas
Well, for Leo's, we're looking at the eighth house, the place of karmic contracts, debts, entanglements. What have you learned about what kinds of agreements or relationships, the give and take of those relationships are positive and helpful and uplifting, versus which of those relationships or sole contracts have been entangling and snaring, complicating, stifling or draining?
That's a big part of the lessons of any eighth house transit, and you've had this going on for quite some time now, you can also think about the eighth house as a place where you're surrendering attachments.
So what have you learned about dependency, interdependence versus, say, an unhealthy codependence over a long period of time, but then again, maybe more recently, the past couple of years, death and the release of attachments that death signifies as a an event, psychically, whether that's metaphorical or literal.
How have you what kinds of deaths or releasing of attachments have you had to work through? There's a maybe a moment here of final release on some level, and starting to really, kind of almost like reap the benefits of what's been sown, or inherit the blessings of the eighth house somehow.
For Virgos, we're looking at the North Node, or, excuse me, the Dark Moon in Pisces in the seventh house. That's a lot about relationships a long, long cycle of work and understanding around relationships.
How have relationships invited you to surrender some measure of control or nervousness or anxiety, sometimes common for Virgos, and ask you to surrender to someone or something outside of yourself and learn to find flow and ease and romance and connection and emotional vulnerability.
On the other hand, what have you learned about boundaries and appropriate distinctions and boundaries and sharing of power or resources in relationships? What have you learned about intimacy and love and who is the ideal kind of person to share a life with, versus maybe you know the kinds of relationships you've learned that about that have not been as helpful.
So a lot of work around the realm of pleasure, love, intimacy and relationships, that's coming to close right now.
Now for Libras, the work is in the sixth house. A long cycle for Libras of working through sixth house, material, your spirituality, your faith, your understanding of reality, has been served, probably for a very long time now, since Neptune entered that house through sacrifice, service, surrender, overwhelming circumstances, places where life sort of felt like it was getting to be too much or slipping out of your control.
Somehow, I. Sickness, dealing with aging or health issues, you know, just the the turmoil of life that we find in the sixth house, and the perseverance to meet those things with faith, determination to be dedicated to things that are bigger than ourselves.
In service, what has been worth your time and effort and energy in sacrifice and service, and what have you learned from misfortunes or hardships that you've had to overcome or work through?
What insight have they provided you with, and where has some degree of emotional vulnerability opened up in your life through things that weren't perfect, you know that just were messy.
For Scorpios, we find this dark moon in Pisces, in the fifth house, a place of creative fulfillment, of joy and of creating from a very deep, authentic place that you know, ideally when you create from provides, provides that joy and sense of satisfaction and fulfillment on some level, this is why the house is also associated with pregnancy and children.
That's a creative act that we something from our essence is created in the world. That's a very creative house. But what have you learned about creativity, joy, happiness, and what have you learned about parenting, or children, if you've become a parent during the past, you know, since 2011 or the past couple of years, what have you learned about,
Adam Elenbaas
you know, the sacrifices of parenting and how to find joy or happiness alongside of parenting, for example.
But either way, there's a very deep work that's finishing up now around a house that has to do with what is most authentic, most creative, most joyful, most romantic, most satisfying, that's coming from what feels like your authentic nature.
That's very important for the fifth house. Lot of work that's been done there for Scorpios.
Let's go forward to Sagittarians. Get the dark moon in your fourth house. So if you're Sagittarius rising, you are you're experiencing this dark moon and a long cycle of completion now, a long cycle that's completing now in the fourth house of home, family, property, parents and ancestry.
This is the roots of your chart. So it also speaks to how you find things like rest and emotional security, a private, easy kind of it's kind of like going to the well, where do you find that sense of replenishment and healing and rest, and ideally, that should be with the most intimate people in a sphere of family or community?
It's if you live with roommates, it's your good, dear friends that you live with, or if it's the if it's your kids and spouse, it's the home environment and healing work done around this area, maybe expanding and growing this area of your life, changing locations, healing the past.
What has that activity been like for you there? What kind of new home or family have you created? What have the changes brought?
I think of my mom, who's a SAG rising, and I can't help but think of the fact that, you know, when Neptune entered Pisces in 2011 that was the beginning, sort of of the end of my, my mom and dad's marriage, and then it was moving on her own, and then it was moving in with a new partner that she found, right?
And then they bought a house together, and also long arc of changing the story around family karma that I've seen my mom go through under this Pisces era. It's pretty fascinating now. So think about home, family, if you're a SAG now, for Capricorns, we're in the third house.
Think about this place as a place of learning and the mind, but it's also about like accessing a feeling of joy and satisfaction with who you are and how you behave and interact with the everyday world.
It's kind of like, how much do I enjoy being in my own skin, in my own body and my own mind and my own thoughts and my own communication style and my own like, kind of everyday basic interactions?
And also, what kind of skills or abilities Am I learning that help me feel like I'm a valuable, interesting part of everyday life. In my environment, lot of emphasis with Capricorns on changing your mind, changing how you think.
And then peer relationships or sibling relationships are also found in this space, which it's kind of like everyday basic relating with people that aren't aren't so much in the hierarchies of like a boss or a parent.
So siblings more like a peer, not always, but you know, siblings have more of a little bit of a competitive dynamic in the third house with other people, but also like kin, like they're they're people in the third house that we relate to every day, and we think of them a little bit differently than other people found in the chart.
So relationships with siblings and peers, competition. How do you stand out? How do you develop new skills and abilities? How do you develop your mind? Things like technology resources and technology travel in the local environment also found here.
Let's go on to so thinking about what's taken place in that in that realm, and what you've learned, and maybe certain patterns of mind or communication, versions of yourself or your ego that you've had to let go of if you're a Capricorn.
Now, Aquarians
Adam Elenbaas
we're in the second house. That's the place of our material assets and resources. Long cycle here of working through things like money or the lack of money, what you have and what you don't have, what you're trying to earn or build or develop, in terms of skills and material assets or resources, often that translate into things like possessions, paying the bills, putting clothing on on your back and food on the table, so to speak.
So thinking about a long cycle of focusing on material assets and resources and anything pertaining to what was provided for you to support your material existence growing up, that kind of karma can be found here, and also how that plays out in your own life.
Now, if you have a family or you're in a marriage, it's kind of like a place where assets and how they relate to the support of the environment around you are found. Now, long cycle coming to a close there right now, this balsamic moon may bring up an opportunity to, I don't know, say goodbye to an era now.
Pisces, rising, we're talking about character. We're talking about personality. We're talking about body health, identity. Pisceans, you've been going through it the past couple of years of Saturn in your first house.
What sacred nose Have you learned? What boundaries have you had to set what have you had to prioritize in terms of what you are and what you aren't? What kind of mastery or greater responsibility have you stepped in for yourself, or maybe in work or relationships?
What have you been cultivating or growing in terms of your psychology or even your physical health or appearance? All of these things are reaching this kind of critical final moment of letting go, of releasing a long emphasis on this place.
So just a few reminders there that I hope you find useful today.
Don't forget, if you like that software niche episode in the comment section pinned to the top or in the description of this video, you can find the affiliate link, which will allow you a 20% off discount perpetually on your monthly subscription.
I love this software program. The guys will be out, as I've been saying again, to talk to you about it, give a little demo again, but check that out.
That is it for today. But of course, it's a Monday, so I need to show you what's on my altar.
All right, so this week on my altar, let me switch the camera over here, you will see that there is a manuscript sitting there. That is my book. The Oracle speaks. It is my new book, and it is going off to the printers this week.
So pretty soon it will be available, and as it is being translated from its final form into an actual book, I wanted to just dedicate it, you know, to to God, to the Divine, that's, that's, those are the words I choose, but to whatever is sacred, to whatever beautiful intelligence is behind astrology and behind anything good that's happened in my Life.
You know, even all the challenging things. I just want to dedicate this so that it goes out into the world and touches the hearts and minds of other people and reaches the people that it needs to and just that, I'm giving it away now, right?
It was mine. It was my thing, and now it's going to have a life of its own. So I'm just saying thank you for that, and I'll have more details about that for you guys when it's um, when it's ready. Soon.
That's it for today. I hope you're having a good one. We'll see you again next time bye.
