In this special Winter Solstice gathering, we sit together in that contemplative space. We began by exploring the nature of faithโnot as blind certainty, but as the courage to follow an inner voice of wisdom into the unknown, much like trusting a path through a gentle, navigable fog. The conversation flowed into a live examination of personal journeys, using the birth chart not as a fixed script of fate, but as a living field of symbols that help us carry the weight of our experiences and probe them for deeper meaning.

Whether we spoke of navigating profound life changes, redefining a career path, or simply making space for the sacred amidst the beautiful chaos of daily life, the stars provided a mirror, not a mandate. This episode is an invitation to see your own story reflected in this ancient, symbolic light.
"There is no challenging natal chart; there is only a life being lived, moment by moment. The astrology that serves us best does not dissociate us into a 20,000-foot view of a โgoodโ or โbadโ biography. It meets us where we are, right now, helping to contain the immediate event within a story that has depth, dignity, and a share of the archetypal. A symbol can literally help you carry psychic weight. It can dig a hole and take you deeper, so that an experience becomes more meaningful. This is how we get off the rollercoaster of fortune and begin to participate in the soul's journey."

Hey everyone. This is Adam Elenbaas from Nightlight Astrology [https://nightlightastrology.com/].
Okay, there we go. Welcome in, everybody.
Nice to be back together for another live stream. We're gonna do some Birth Chart readings this morning and have a nice Q A session. Hopefully, this would be a nice way of spending your Sunday morning or afternoon, evening, if you're across the pond, I suppose so. Yeah, welcome in. Tell us as you're coming in. Tell us where you're coming from. Where do you hail from in this beautiful, big world? Come in soaking wet as a camp post on the rainy Oregon coast. Nice. Nice. That. That sounds like fun. And thank you to everyone. Happy Solstice. Yeah, we had our Solstice gathering here in Minneapolis last night. It was great. I think we had about 4050, people coming together for little Solstice meditation. It was really nice. Yeah, let's see where you're coming from. Here Istanbul. Welcome in Las Vegas. There's Cassandra, who's there with us last night. Good to see you.
NYC, Croatia, Netherlands, Vienna, Bangkok,
yeah, that's right. Let's kick start this day. I have a very special announcement. We're going to do a prize giveaway today. I can't wait to tell you about that.
Be very exciting. Um, North Carolina,
New Orleans, the French Quarter. That's awesome. New York, New Jersey, British Columbia, Albania, Seattle, Los Angeles. I'm at my ceramic studio, glazing pieces. That's awesome. Love to hear that that that's cool, to know that people make art. Or I was talking last night to a woman who says she gets up every morning while she's getting ready, she listens to the show that was Claudia. Shout out to Claudia for being at our live last night. And who was it?
Oh, there was someone else
on the on the treadmill. There's someone who is telling me that they listen on the treadmill every day. That's cool. Happy Solstice from Ontario, from Chapel Hill from Italy, from Watertown, amazing. Belgium, Naples,
Ithaca, so glad you're all here, Los Angeles, earth, just keep it basic. Sweden, Little Rock, Australia, very cool.
So what's the agenda for the day?
Malta, that's cool. Berlin
got some nice nails going on there?
Sweden. Okay, so anyway,
here's our agenda. We're going to we're going to do a little Q and A session, and then we're going to switch gears into some live birth chart readings I'll probably do last time I did two. Yeah, you know two or three for sure. So Well, I'll tell you how you can join live if you want to. I'm going to promote the Kickstarter campaign before we get rolling, and special, super excited, special announcement. So I'm going to be doing some giveaways for people when you pledge to the Kickstarter on the days of our live streams, which we have, we have quite a few live streams scheduled between now and the end of the year. I'll show you what those live streams are, where you can find them, how you can join us live for one of these, one of these episodes. And then if you donate to the Kickstarter on the day of that specific live stream, there's going to be a giveaway so that you'll be entered to win something extra special, if you are someone who pledges on the day of the particular live stream giveaway. So that's fun. We came up with that idea, yeah, that'll be fun. So let me take you over to the kicks. Starter campaign. Tell you how you can donate, and then tell you what the reward, extra special reward is. For those of you who make a donation today, and I'm not going to tell you what the giveaways are on the rest of the days, they're all going to be surprises. But anyway, here is the Kickstarter campaign we are trying, as you guys know, if you watch the channel, we're trying to get to 2043 backers by New Year's Eve. Let's just do a little math, really quickly here. So right now, as of the time that I'm making this, we have 850 backers, which means we still need 1193 backers with just 11 days left to go. That means we need, like 100 backers a day. We often get a big rush at the end, but that's a ton of backers that we still need. So in order to get there, we need your help if you like this channel, if you get something good out of it, here is the link in the comment section streaming live after you're watching this the replay, the link will be pinned to the top or in the comments description. Head over to the Kickstarter campaign, make a donation. We're going to kick this off, this giveaways off with something really cool, which is we're going to give away a free spot on our Mexico retreat next June. How about that? We are having, we have a week long retreat in Mexico in June. You can check that out on the Live Events page of the website. There's a retreat tab. Head over there to the Kickstarter. If you make a donation today and you pledge for anything that we're offering, class passes, any reward whatsoever, you'll be entered to join us on the retreat for free. So we're going to, we're going to kick this, like these giveaways, off with a really fun, like, super spectacular item. The Retreat is a week long retreat focusing on the art of divination. So this retreat is about how to cultivate your relationship with an Oracle. Astrology, obviously, but we're going to be talking more broadly about how to develop oracular listening and symbol recognition, as well as how to convey oracular intelligence to other people, if you're a reader. So this is going to be a really fun, very immersive hands on retreat at a beautiful resort location in Mexico next June. And if you,
if you want to join us,
just make a pledge today to the Kickstarter campaign, and you'll be entered to win. So we'll we'll draw. We're going to take the list of names and put them into like a little random generator. So whoever donates for today on the solstice, if your donation comes in anytime today, December 21 you'll be entered to win that special prize. So yeah, if you want to double pledge under another email, that's that is welcome, but you you wouldn't if you it won't count unless you're a new pledge today. So if you pledge under another email, that would be fine. But anyway, there's the link once more. So yeah, we still, like I said, we still need, you know about 1200 more backers to reach our goal in just 11 days left. So if you love this channel, if you get something positive from it, if you like these live readings, you learn about birth charts, you enjoy the content that we create, seven days a week, year round. You know, it's not just me, it's a staff of 12 of us, full time Social Media Manager. There's about three hours every single day that goes into creating this content with a lot of love and heart. If you find spiritual nourishment, astrological insight and learning, inspiration, laughter, if this is a good part of your life, then please consider supporting us. We really appreciate it. So when you pledge, there's also a lot of rewards available. The easily, the best thing we offer during the Kickstarter campaign are our class passes. So you can come study with us and take one of our programs in the year ahead. Those class passes don't expire. You can bundle them and save so if you get a 234, class pass, you can take a variety of our programs over the next several years, again, they don't expire, and come study with us. Take a real, deep, immersive dive into astrology at Nightlight, where we really we pride ourselves on having excellent curriculum, excellent support staff in and outside of class. Support bonus material, discussion forum staff with tutors. Everything's live. We teach live, but you can also watch. The recordings at your own pace. So those are the best deals of the Kickstarter. But there's a lot of other really good rewards. If you've liked some of the guided meditations and written stuff that I've done on the channel lately, inviting the silence and the Oracle within our guided meditations I wrote there. I just, I think they're they're lovely for the year ahead, the astrology of 2026 your horoscopes for 2000 20,026 those are all available through the Kickstarter for about four to five hours worth of content on the year ahead horoscope. So you're going to get a real deep treatment of all the major transits of the year ahead for your sun or rising sign. We have a bunch of master classes available. Next year's master class our guild membership, tons of stuff. You can check out best sales of the year. So yeah, and when you support us, obviously, this is, this is how I support myself and my family, and also, again, it's not just me, it's the staff of a bunch of us that the Kickstarter funds. It also funds our ability to make sure everything we do has sliding scale pricing. The Kickstarter does well all of our programs, they basically don't have to have a bottom line from a business plan standpoint, which means we can open them up for people who might be hurting financially to have a flexible price point. So this Kickstarter does a lot. This is our 12th year of doing it. So we appreciate you contributing, and if you contribute today, you're going to be entered to join us on the retreat in Mexico. The only thing you'll have to get is your the cost of your travel. Everything else will be completely covered. But you just got to get to Mexico. So I'm entering. Here's the link to the Kickstarter campaign. There again, you so I hope to see you guys
in Mexico. That'll be really fun.
Okay, on that note, we're going to start off with just some Q and A so you know, any questions that you have about astrology, technical questions, theoretical questions. Is there something you want to know about me as a content creator, I welcome any and all questions that you guys have right now about astrology. Let's just kick this session off with some Astro chat, and then we're going to move into some Birth Chart readings. So let me just scroll up in the comments whatever questions you have. Drop them in the comments. What do you guys comments. What do you guys want to talk about this morning? Let's get into it.
All right. Scrolling up here,
yeah, it really is amazing to see how many people come in from all over the world for these it. It really does blow me away. Oh yeah, don't forget to like and subscribe. Someone reminding me. Thank you. Yeah, don't. Don't forget to like and subscribe for sure.
Okay, let's see here.
Going,
highly recommend year one with a high class group of support staff. Thank you. Yeah. Hope you guys will come study with us. It's great. I'm curious about what what faith means to you, how it's different from blind hope and wishful thinking. That's a really good question. Excuse me, so yeah, let's take, let's take a moment to talk about that. Well,
I think there's like two levels of faith that I can identify in my life. One, let's just call it a practical, lived kind of common sense level of faith. So for example, I remember when I made the choice to get sober. You know, I had a lot of bad drug habits in my early 20s, and I remember making the choice to get sober thanks to the intervention of ayahuasca, plant medicine, yoga, meditation, a lot of things that kind of came into my life and said, hey, it's time to get sober. But I had to trust that. And this is this might sound silly, but I had to trust that being sober was going to lead me to feeling happier than what drugs were making me feel. And it might sound crazy, because people imagine if you're doing drugs, that you're not happy, but that wasn't the case for me. I was very high functioning. I was hitting walls for sure, here and there, but like, they made me happy, and they made me not have to deal with or look at things that made me unhappy. And so there was a feeling of like, Am I really going to be happy if I don't have these am I. Just going to go back to the things that you know I don't want to face, and even if I do have to go back to them, will I face them and somehow be happier for it? A lot of people consider this when they're getting sober, like even if you just have a casual drinking habit, and you think I you know, could I be happier not drinking? You still think to yourself, gosh, I don't know. Like, if I get sober, will, will it really be happier, or will it just be harder, you know, and more difficult? And maybe I'd rather just have, like, a drink every couple of nights to ease the pain. Even people who drink casually have to make decisions like that. So I remember making that decision and having to trust, I would call it a kind of faith that this was the right path, that something inside of me knew this is the right path. And I can't see the results of this path, but I have to walk it and trust it and let it unfold, and at least see if this inner discernment, I'm sensing that I need to be sober is right, that it really will make me happier, that it really will lead to, like, a healthier, happier feeling in my heart. And so I did, and it did. It didn't happen right away. It took a long time at first, you know, it kind of felt empty and hollow, and a lot of the old stuff I didn't want to be seeing or experiencing came back. It's that was all true. But if I just kept going and I stayed sober, then very gradually, one day at a time, I started feeling happier, significantly happier, in fact, than I was while using those substances. So what I would call faith is the ability that I've had progressively in my life to identify that voice, that discerning voice that said, if you take a path of of sobriety and health, you're going to feel better. You just have to trust me and walk this path. Because I I'm wise this voice, I'm not I don't even know if it's me, you know, it's just, it's just a voice of knowing somewhere in me that was like, Do this, trust me, you'll be happier. And what I found in my life that really being one of the first moments where I had to make a major adjustment to my way of life based purely out of trust that things would get better if I went down this path. And they did. And that doesn't mean I tap into that voice. Alt 24/7, I lose track of that voice often, I think, probably, like all of us. But one thing that that I've learned is that faith is about knowing which voices to trust and to follow. So for me, a lot of faith comes down to what I follow, what I let lead me as that inner voice of knowing, and sometimes it shows up in people or mentors or, you know, my wife's suggestion for something or whatever, but it's like something in me knows, put your faith, put your trust in this thing that's guiding you and go down this path. And so faith, for me, is very active in that sense, where there's it's just very practical, like trusting a voice that feels like the voice of wisdom to follow. And if I do things will get better, or I'll learn, or I'll grow, or I'll overcome something, or I'll solve a problem, or whatever. So I would call that like lived faith. That's just my definition. The second thing that comes up in me would be the kind of faith that has to do more with metaphysical uncertainty. So metaphysical or like existential uncertainty is like, God, I don't know what's real. You know, I say things like Soul, and I say things like spirit, and I use words like God or archetype. I use a lot of words. I think I know what they mean. But do I really, you know, no, I don't really know anything. And I find that faith is for me, a process of like staying humble and emptying metaphysical certainty. I've been listening to a lot of lectures on Buddhism lately, and one thing I love about Buddhism is very similar in the Christian tradition to someone like Meister Eckhart, if you've ever read him before. But there's the sense of needing to empty ourselves of certainty, and when we empty ourselves of metaphysical certainty, that we think what we know we are confident. We know what's going on. We know how it works. We know why we're here. We know what a soul is. We know where it's all leading. You know when we empty those things out often, that's the only space from which faith can actually start to direct our life. So there's this tangible connection between that voice of wisdom that's very practical, that. Guides us and says, put your faith in this voice that's following you, that you're following like a little candle, you're following through the dark woods. And but the only way to find that voice is to frequently go back to emptying any kind of metaphysical certainty, and to me, emptying of metaphysical certainty is the act of faith that I think is sort of most universal. Like when I think of faithful people, I don't think of people who are faithful to something that they're certain about. I think of them as people who are faithful to a process that they don't need to be certain about, that they they trust they'll come to understand in time. And by emptying that big metaphysical uncertainty, we get back to this very basic, everyday kind of guidance that we put faith in, that has more immediate feedback in terms of its trustworthiness if you handle this situation with love and care right now, the inner voice says, things will go better right now, and they do. And then when you get to big spaces of really deep doubt, like, does anything mean? Anything? That same voice shows up and says, let go, just relax. It doesn't tell you what to be certain about. It just tells you like you don't you don't have to have the big answers. Let's just focus on the guidance in this moment, right? So I see faith as so much about trust that there is something huge going on that we can't name or understand, but we have to empty ourselves of the certainty around that kind of stuff regularly so we can get back to this, this very basic form. So when people say, Do you have faith that God is love? Do you have faith that the soul is real? Yeah, but I frequently go through periods where I have to empty out any kind of certainty about those big things and just come back to a smaller, simpler form of trust. Yeah,
hey, thank you. Just said, Toya, mama said she just pledged. Thank you for that. We've had, I think, four pledges since we started today, and I want to tell you that if you're just joining us, if you pledge to the Kickstarter today, you'll be entered for a chance to win a trip to Mexico with us in June for our retreat. That's we're going to be having some extra prizes we randomly distribute to backers on certain calendar days when we do live streams. So that's that's exciting. If you have not yet backed us, here's the link. If you're just joining us, you back today. You're entered for a chance to join us in Mexico. All you got to do is get there. The rest will be all the retreat fees, resort fees, those will be free. What is your main predictive technique? I probably use transits more than anything. I use horary quite a bit. So horary and transits and then I would say second to that would be like, you know, Zodiacal releasing, annual perfection, solar returns, progressions, you know, kind of a an assortment of things, but yet, transits and zodiacal releasing are probably my top two, alongside of, actually, I'd say transits and horary and then zodiacal releasing. Yeah, tips for making a sacred space in an extremely small apartment with chaotic kittens, I haven't been able to create an altar since I brought these chaotic babies home. I'm yeah, that that I can, I can only imagine, like, having a couple of dogs and a couple of kids, you know, like, and then put chaotic kittens in a small apartment, you know,
well, I'm sure kittens climb on things, and so, you know, one thing that I would say is, you know, be flexible, right? So if you create a little altar space, if stuff gets knocked over, don't worry about it. The gods are get, you know, they're you could think of the kittens and their playful energy as a part of the Leela of your altar, the play of your altar. You know, every altar is living in a space, in an environment, and the things happening around it can be a part of its medicine. You know, can be a part of its blessing. So let the cats be part of it. Let them bless it. Maybe, you know, create, create a space that's high up enough that they can't get to quite yet. You know, something. Like that. And it could be as simple as, like one candle, you know, or like a little tea light holder that you replace tea lights in with a simple statue of a god or goddess that really speaks to you, maybe a little incense, or something, you know, keep it super simple, but tend to it regularly. The thing that makes an altar powerful is not what's on it, but how it's cared for. That that's, that's the truth. Dream Girl Rising says, I just backed the Kickstarter. It's Brianna. Oh, hey, thank you. Yeah, you're in the year one class. I want to say, right? You're one or two. I know I've seen you in class, so thank you. That's awesome. We have you've Well, you've just been entered to join us in Mexico, so maybe we'll see you there. Giving up cannabis came down to wanting my authentic voice, not the voice of the plant. Yeah, it's important. A lot of traditions talk about plant possession. It's a very real part of Amazonian shamanism, where the if you're working as a practitioner with the plants, you're entering into a symbiotic relationship with them, where they they come to possess you, and you possess them in a symbiotic way. There's a kind of fusion that takes place. But if that's not really intentional, and it doesn't have specific reasons and ways of working, and it's a habit that's being used to, I don't know. I mean, it's, it's, I do believe cannabis can be a medicine, so I certainly don't have a black or white view of it. But a lot of people, including myself, have reported that even cannabis can become a habit that is not productive, that's different for everyone you know I um, and I don't judge people. I don't try to pretend I know you know when it is or isn't. But yeah, certainly for me, I had to give up smoking. Now, I would say, like, once or twice a year at the most, when I've gone to the Grateful Dead shows or dead in company with my wife, will have, like, I'll have like, a five milligram THC gummy before the show, something super simple. I don't need much at all. In fact, I've even taken half of a five milligram gummy and just been, like flying because I'm I've increased sensitivity to psychedelics since working with ayahuasca for 10 years. So I don't need barely anything, but like, once or twice a year, maybe to enjoy music at a show or something like that. But otherwise, yeah, it's been probably almost two decades for me since I've, like, regularly smoked anything. Yeah, interesting. Everyone's a little bit different. Obviously, yes, I can relate. I'm not religious, but I asked God to help me through my addiction. Music and marijuana also helped me. I struggled with pain pills in my mid 20s to late 20s, yeah, and that's what I mean, like, it's not a one size fits all, like sometimes people can actually receive a lot of blessing from certain plant medicines when they're trying to come off drugs. So, yeah, I get that. Do you have any guidance on how to best approach reading for someone with very challenging natal chart? Yeah, there is no okay. So this again, like I, I never mean to sound flippant when I say things like this, but I just, I just kind of speak, speak my truth as I understand it. There is no challenging natal chart, right? What do we mean when we say that? What do we actually mean? What we mean is that we're saying there's a Do you have any guidance on how to best approach reading for someone with a very challenging life, right? Because all that we're saying when we're saying a very challenging natal chart, if there, if it's anything substantive, is that this person has a very difficult life. But most of us, when, like, when I, you know, when I sit down with a client, I do not look at the chart and think to myself, Oh God, this person has a difficult life. Because I'm not. I don't see people that way, like if someone comes to me and they sit down for a reading, usually they're not sitting down in front of me as presenting as a person with a very difficult life. They may tell me stories, and I may go, Wow, that sounds really difficult, but usually we don't experience the totality of the difficulty of a lifetime in a in a on a given day or week of our life. You know, it's like that person is still going to be there to talk about something. In the midst of ups and downs, in the midst of jobs and relationships, and in the midst of something specific that they want to talk about, astrology always works better when we meet someone where they're at rather than trying to summarize their whole life. The whole history of astrology is really not about trying to get this 20,000 foot view on the entirety of a life. It's divinatory in the same way that people don't come to Tao spreads and say, show me my whole life. They go to a Tao spread and they say, help me understand this particular situation I'm in the midst of. That's what astrology is actually supposed to be used for. Of course, we can use Tao, and we can use any divinatory system to get a broader view of the life, but a lot of that approach can be highly dissociative and not actually in service of someone who's suffering, who's almost always going to be better served by compartmentalizing the suffering and focusing on what's in front of them a little bit more, even in therapy, if you go to a therapist and you start sharing with them, you know, decades worth of trauma you can't somehow summarize and put a bow around 25 years of trauma in an hour. You know what I mean? So the therapist will they're trained therapy. Therapists are trained. And I know because my mom's a psychiatric nurse practitioner. My dad has a PhD in counseling. I've seen 10, 15,000 different people in different settings through my career. You want to try to bring us out of a fatalistic sense of what my life is in some big prescriptive way. It's been bad. It's been difficult. That way of seeing our lives is not conducive to therapeutic progress, even if there's a lot of truth to the biography being loaded with difficulties. And so you want to try to bring things into the moment a little bit more and work on what's manageable right now. Natal charts, the way we see natal charts are no exception. There is no very challenging chart unless we're going to start looking at people and saying, You have a very challenging life. I don't want to look at people that way. Now, if someone wants to look at their life that way, I will bear witness to it and try to hold space for it. But in my therapeutic work, I will also encourage them to find ways of staying in the moment and be very careful about telling ourselves stories about our lives being good or bad in some huge biographical, 20,000 foot label. It's just not a good way to live life. From my standpoint, that doesn't mean I'm trying to tell people that their pain or their history of trauma isn't real. Either there's a subtle distinction there. But anyway, that's it's just important the way we talk about these things. What does it mean to read a chart symbolically rather than literally? Yeah, so there are, let's describe something a literal view of something. The literal view sees someone throwing a hat up into the air, and it says, Look, that human took a hat off their head and threw it up into the air. We've just described something like kind of literally,
but to describe that from the perspective of symbolism would be to recognize they just graduated, and they're taking their graduation cap off and throwing it in the air, because it's a ritual act that people do when they graduate to signify that they're taking off the cap of academic commitment and being an apprentice in the academy, and they're releasing that part of their life, right? They're saying, I'm done, and so they're releasing it. So to read that act not just as a physical phenomenon, but as an as a ritual and as a symbol, would be to move simply from describing it as throwing something up in the air to recognizing that that's what that's that's there's a meaning attached at the moment of ritual, moment of graduation, right? So that's just a simple example of the difference between a literal and a symbolic read on something. But when you're reading charts, it's no different. So let's say that someone comes in and they describe a breakup. They're describing the cap throwing up in the air. They're describing the thing that happened. But what we want to do through the use of symbols is to find what ritual this is at what stage of life and what meaning it has. And what's so great about symbols is that they act as containers. So instead of just throwing your hat in the air, it becomes graduation. Instead of just a breakup, it becomes a Saturn Venus passage. And a Saturn Venus passage can become a symbolic, multi dimensional, mythic, poetic container. The experience that sick, that points it toward a transcendental level of meaning that is greater than just the thing that happened. And when we stay stuck in just the thing that happened, we tend to have very narrow ways of looking at it, which is exactly what we were just saying in the last question. A very narrow way of looking at our life is to say it's been a good life or a bad life. A very narrow way of looking at an event is to say it's good or bad. That level is not unreal, but it's typically not the symbolic level. It's more of the literal level of things that only sees the phenomenon and then labels it good or bad, pleasant or unpleasant, we have to learn how to acknowledge that level and include it because it's part of our experience, while also using symbols to act as containers so that your breakup becomes infused with the you know, The the deep symbolic space of Venus, Saturn, for example. Now, the cool thing about symbols is that they are they're not just. They also are not just. They don't just have one literal one size fits all meaning. So depending on what the experience was, let's say, for example, that someone goes through a breakup, and they get broken up with because they can't hold down a job, and they're doing drugs, and they push the other person away because they can't take responsibility for their part in the relationship, being a responsible, mature partner, and the other person says, I've had enough. Well, wow. Venus, Saturn is going to be talking about responsibility, maturation, growing up, it's going to be a hard lesson in developing a stronger psychic container so you can participate in love and not lose it. That's a Venus Saturn lesson that you can extrapolate upon and draw myths and poetry and images out of that can help the person carry the weight of the event and give it greater meaning, and it can carry them along a life path then. But if you had another person who came in and they said, Well, I was with someone who, you know, had a, I don't know what's a, what's the the attachment style, I'm thinking of dismissive avoidant. They were an avoidant personality. They couldn't attach and love to me, and I finally had to stand up for myself and say no. Now we got a boundaries in love, self respect and love all Venus, Saturn. But we we can turn the symbol to help contain and carry the events. This is also what we mean when we say that astrology is symbolic, not causal. When Venus Saturn come through at the same time that a breakup occurs, what we're saying is that they are the graduation level of the event that's happening as the physical level happens, and it's acting like a mirror, not a cause. So you can as events are passing by in the stream of time space, and there's a mirror in the sky of transcendental patterns, then you have a mirroring, as Hermes Trismegistus taught, that can help us find phenomenon in ritual, transcendental patterning, and that really, really important is actually that cause and effect is actually an illusion on on a certain level. So that's a critical part of ancient mystical thinking. This is why, when we consider something like a breakup, and we try to, we try to think about why it happened, it's very, very hard to pin down specific causes and effects on the level of meaning, right? And so anyway, getting into some deeper mystical territory here. But yeah, that's, that's a basic idea about, you know, reading symbolically rather than literally. I hope that helps. I ran into this guy when I was coming down from an acid trip. We had a surreal conversation. I asked him if he had faith, hope that the world would get better. And he said, next comment, that's funny. Okay, let's see how we're doing on the Kickstarter campaign. Guys, we are at 861 backers, which means we've had, I think, about 10 backers since the start of this program. That means 10 of you have been entered to win a trip to Mexico with Nightlight next June. But that could mean that there are more of you who may join us. There's the link. If you donate today, if you pledge today, on the solstice, December 21 you're going to be entered to win a spot on our Oracle within retreat next June. So if you haven't yet donated, it's a really good day. To do so, because you could win a chance to come on a really badass retreat with us. We're going to have so much fun. Yeah, if you already pledged, you can pledge again with another email. Yes, that's That's true. We're we welcome that. You look quite refreshed this morning. That's because I slept in. We had our Solstice event last night in Minneapolis. Must have got back about 10 o'clock. Went to bed by about, oh, no, we excuse me. Dave Chappelle, newest, stand up drop. So I was watching part of that, and then I got too tired, so then I went to bed, and yeah, then I got to sleep in, which was great. Let's see. How many sleeping in means the world? Man, it's just there's nothing like it. How many months did it take you to be born? You are all signs that sounds like an acid trip. I Ah,
just pledged, in honor of my boyfriend's aunt, happy to have familial astrology friend. Hey, that's awesome. Thank you. All right, let me scroll up and see what other questions we've had come in. What questions you guys have these have been some deep questions. You can ask silly, funny questions. You can ask me a personal question, if you want, within reason. What is your process for breaking down the astrology the upcoming year that you offer in your Kickstarter? Good question. Mindy,
yeah, so I have a team of my staff who use a program to gather all the transits of the year. They give those to me in a PDF, takes them like a week to curate it and just double check it, and then they give it to me in a PDF, and then I look over every single transit of the year and narrow it down to my proposed I mean, it's kind of flexible, like it can change depending on sometimes you think something's not going to be a big deal. It gets closer and you realize it is something you thought you were looking at, you might see a little different. So I usually have a pretty good idea of what I'm going to be talking about down to the week every single year, right about this time between November and December is when I plan it out. That calendar you can get through the Kickstarter will actually show you the transits that you know I'm I've mapped out in in that process, which house system needs to be used for natal chart readings? Whole sign or placidus? Everyone likes to ask this question. It's a good question, but it really comes from a misunderstanding. Ancient astrology doesn't use a house system. Ancient astrology is a whole sign paradigm. So when you learn Indian astrology, or when you learn ancient Hellenistic astrology, the language, the entire language, not it's not just a house system that you choose. There was no other house system. And so the in all of the techniques, all of the philosophy, all of the approach works, from aspects to dignities to whole sign house meanings, how you delineate a chart, the procedures and techniques you use, they are all rooted in whole sign philosophy, which is not a house system. It's like an entire way of looking at a chart. So it's not you don't just pick a house system. If you're going to use whole sign without understanding the entire paradigm. It's a part of you're not really using whole signs in the way that they were meant to be used. So a simple comparison between whole sign or placidus is not a good starting point. If you want to use whole sign, learn whole sign houses, which is to say, learn Hellenistic astrology or learn Indian astrology. I would say if you're going to learn those, you're definitely going to be using whole sign houses, right? But if you're a modern astrologer who's thinking about which house system to use, I don't know you're coming from a totally different paradigm. So you know, check them out, see what works. But just know that you're not going to have a sense of what whole sign actually means from within the paradigms that use it. I know that sounds like, I never mean for that to sound like condescending, but it's just true. I always try to find funny analogies. It's like telling someone, it's like someone was like, should I use, should I use a Phillips or a flathead screwdriver? It's like, that's a nail. You need a hammer, you know? So when people are asking like, which house sign, which house system to use if you're going to practice Hellenistic astrology, it's not the questions about which house system are not appropriate at all, because it's not, it's not even a part of the way of doing things.
Let's see. I hope that helps. It doesn't sound too condescending. I
went to the Amazon to do Ayahuasca with an Australian woman who had lived there for like, 30 years. She was nuts, and I didn't feel safe, so I came home and did it in Vegas. Oh, my God, that makes me laugh inside. First of all, yeah, it's like, I always joke that it's like the bar in Star Wars with all the crazy creatures. Like, that's the Ayahuasca landscape these days and psychedelics in general. In some ways, there's a lot of really ungrounded people who also, you know, they get, they get egos, like, I want to be a shaman, and so I'm going to lead people. And they're, they're ungrounded and not necessarily safe, and they might be sort of benign, in the sense that they're sweethearts, but just completely ungrounded or that, you know, so you just have to be really careful. I It's just, you know, the world is the world, and finding like, safe, reliable, stable places for Ayahuasca is very important. Yeah, I love to hear your thoughts on how we might incorporate an acknowledgement of procession into a tropical perspective. I agree with the case for tropical but it still seems worth trying to integrate. Well, okay, so there's some misunderstanding in what you're saying, because a tropical, a tropical perspective, by definition, right? By its very definition, is not procession based. So this is something that people frequently understand, misunderstand, you can't have a procession based. You cannot have a procession based Zodiac even, you know, even sidereal astrology is not procession based. It's tropical. It's just taking into consideration the procession relative to the tropical definition. So if you want, what you're talking about is is sidereal astrology, I would say just, you know, there's no other way I could think of answering your question, other than to say the tropical zodiac, by definition, cannot become processional, but it can be oriented according to the procession differently. Those differences, not just one, but many variations of that reorientation based on procession exist in Indian astrology through the sidereal zodiac. That's where you find it. And sure, there are some Western astrologers who incorporate, incorporate the sidereal adjustment into their use of tropical astrology. But here's the thing is, there's no need to do it. I mean, doing it is a symbolic choice, not a choice that has to do with objective truth. And so for that reason, I always encourage people not to get too stuck on it. It's like it if the value of the procession, orientation of the tropical zodiac is, you know, valuable to you again, just like on a symbolic level, then use the sidereal zodiac. Find one of these sidereal zodiacs that Indian astrologers use. There are several, and try it out and have fun with it like there's nothing, no harm in that. But suggesting that it has to be done or ought to be done is a serious mistake of the it's not. It reflects that you don't understand the epistemology of the Zodiac itself, which, in other words, is to say, because the whole system, and the Zodiac is rooted in a kind of a platonic like model, like it's archetypal, which means they, they don't think that the Zodiac is based on something here, right? They believe that the Zodiac is like, it's more like, it's more like an ideal mandala in the realm of geometric triangles, right? So for that reason, however, you choose to orient it in time space. You want to flip it for hemispheres. Go ahead. Flip it. You want to orient it a little bit differently according to the drifting of the stars relative to the solstices and equinoxes Go ahead. The point is, to them, the nature of the Zodiac is the absolute fixed circle. And that absolute fixed circles orientation has to do with the solstices and equinoxes. That's it. Those that's like, that's the ideal logic of this like transcendental object that they called the Zodiac, but however you want to orient it, because this world is relative. It's it's no different than saying you can orient house systems differently. You can orient Tao spreads differently, and the same underlying logic of the Tao will still speak through. That's exactly what the early epistemology of astrology tells us, which is why these things are not necessary in some objective sense, but they can be done, and you should, if you're called to do it, if it's interesting to you, then you definitely should check it out. You know how many. Of times have you done Ayahuasca? And can you tell us about one of the profound or cool experiences? Well, there's a series I have on my YouTube channel that you may or may not be familiar with those of you listening, called how Ayahuasca taught me astrology. I think there's like, maybe nine or 10 episodes. So if you haven't checked those out, there's a playlist on my channel that has like, a number of episodes where I talk at length about some of my ayahuasca experiences and and specifically those that that like built really meaningful bridges for my study of astrology. So check that out, because I think you know that'd probably be the place to hear more stories. My book that's coming out in the first book that I wrote, contained a lot of Ayahuasca storytelling as well. But yeah, over 100 I remember getting to 100 and sort of marking it, and then I just lost track after that. It wasn't like, definitely didn't get to 200 so, you know, maybe somewhere between 100 and 150 and I'd say, yeah, there's just so many experiences it's hard to like think of, you know, just just one so, yeah, just check out that series. I think that there's a lot of really good storytelling in that series. What about the readings where the client does doesn't have a specific question, how do you appropriately dial into the best area to focus on. I don't take those readings. I won't speak to someone who doesn't have a reason for being there. To me, it's it's a matter of, there's a few exceptions to that. Let me just, I'll say that in a second. But to me, it's a matter of oracular integrity. Don't go talk to an Oracle if you don't have something to talk about. Idle speculation is a is bad karma, right? Like you're talking to very powerful, not me, right? But the oracle that speaks through an interpreter you're speaking to like a you know, you're basically like in the ancient world. You take a pilgrimage to go see an Oracle. You have to travel often to go see an astrologer, and you were knowing very well that the astrologer was an interpreter of the gods. So if you're going to talk to the gods, have a reason for being there. You know, even it to me, and it's not the quality of the question, like, I'm not the one who's going to judge the quality of the question or the reason for being there. But if it's not intentional, if there's not some sincerity behind the approach, which is most often the case when someone actually has something that they're there to talk about. I won't take it and what, I won't be rude. I'll just say when someone booked a reading, you see, I'm only doing horary right now, and I see clients in the classroom, and in that context, when I'm teaching and training, and I do live demos all the time for my classrooms, I tell people, you need to come in with some formed questions and write out your questions in advance. And in fact, it's talked about many divinatory traditions talk about the importance of having prayed in advance to seeing an Oracle and set your, you know, get the question situated in your heart and mind and soul. Oracles and oracular traditions don't take nicely to people who are just there to, like, get information. So that's the first thing, even just gently telling a client like, you know, sit down, figure out what you want out of this. Why are we here? Why are we talking? That's really, really important. Now, the exception to this is some people are genuinely just curious. They're like, I've never had a birth chart reading, or I really like you as an astrologer, and I would love your take on my chart. And those aren't like, those are not offensive things you know to to want to know or to ask. But what I'll just gently tell people is, yeah, let's do it. It's great to get to know your birth chart. I can give you some basic insights into some of the general themes and symbolism. Sure, there's no problem with that, and that is a sincere desire. So I don't have a problem with that. Let's go maybe Sun Moon rising for someone who's like, Oh man, I'm so curious. I just, you know, when there's a sincere curiosity, that's still sincerity, right? So then maybe sun, moon rising, but even then, generally, I'll tell people, Look, you're going to get the most out of the reading if, in addition to me giving you my impressions of the chart, that you have some dialed in areas to focus on, you're going to get more out of it that way. And to me, these are part of the ethics of my practice too, so I hope that makes sense.
All right, hey, just another reminder. If you are joining us now, or you came late the Kickstarter today, if you pledge today on December 21 you're going to be entered to win a trip to our retreat in Mexico next June. The only thing you'll have to do is cover your own track. Travel to and from the retreat, but the retreat, the resort fees, your room, your board, the retreat, all of it will be covered. We're going to enter you to win a chance to join us on the retreat if you pledge today. So I'm going to be doing some other giveaways on the final days of the Kickstarter, on the days of live streams. I'll have some other giveaways. I'm going to keep those secret, it'll be kind of something a little bit different every day. Thought we'd kick it off with a big one today. So yeah, if you want to join us, here's the link in the live stream to the Kickstarter campaign. We could really use your help help us reach our goal. We're trying to get to 2043 backers with just 11 days left. We still need about 1200 more to go.
All right, let's see here.
Can I add an additional pledge today, even though I've pledged already? Yeah, feel free. You just have to use a different email address. I they won't let you do a second one unless you have a different account. Happy Winter Solstice. How can we prepare for the next year with the craziness that this year was? It seems like most are talking about 26 as if it'll be even harder than 25 Yeah, you know, my take on this really comes from, you know, Vedic philosophy, yoga philosophy. Recently I've been saying I've been listening to a lot of Buddhist philosophy, stoic philosophy, those are the traditions that have meant the most to me. So the way, for example, I deal with the stress you're talking about is to recognize that. And I've been doing this a long time. So I can tell you, I have had live streams at the end of the year, events around the solstice, events around the new year. As an astrologer for you know, going on 16 years, there is never a year where I have not heard someone say, how can we prepare for next year, given how crazy this year was, or why was this year so crazy? Or will the next year be any easier? This one was crazy. The thing is, is that every single year we tend to feel that way, and we forget. We forget that they're the only constant, you know is is change, and the change just keeps coming. And if you study astrology, you know this very well, because all we ever talk about, or what, what transit is coming next in the streaming river of material energies, there's no stop. It's just constant flux. One way of describing that for us is going to be stress, because we naturally seek peace and being in a river of constant fluctuation we find stressful. And so naturally, a one way that we have of describing being alive is that it's very stressful, it's very crazy, it's very chaotic. But I can honestly say I can't think of one year being an astrologer where everyone doesn't feel like, wow, that was the craziest year ever. Oh my god, what a difficult year. It's not really, not really more or less crazy than any other year for the most part, in the whole course of our lives, there will be maybe a handful, 567, years, if you live to 80, that you could truly say at the end of life that was a crazy year. No, but a lot of the other years will end up resembling each other. They'll be filled with highs and lows. They'll be filled or they might all have felt stressful. And so these, these ancient philosophical traditions tell us this. They say life in this material world moves in familiar patterns and cycles and rhythms of pain and suffering and impermanence and change. It's like a roller coaster ride in the world of fortune. You go up, you go down, you go up, you go down. So I really encourage people to just get off that train. Just choose a different kind of consciousness. You know, not that it's easy to do so, but astrology paired with self care, paired with mindfulness or meditation or quiet time or walks in the woods or journaling, get off the train with some active spiritual commitments that you make to yourself, even once a day for five minutes, and I think that we start to experience each year and then the following year differently. If there's any chance that 2026 has of being easier than 2025 guarantee you it won't, because the astrology is easier. The astrology is never, I mean, to try to compare the astrology of one year to the next as better or easier or whatever, is mostly silly, because there's never the exact same astrology twice until the sun burns out. You know, every moment is now. There's never been another moment like the one that we're in, even astrologically, certain cycles and patterns recur. You know, that's for sure, and we can identify certain patterns, and that's really helpful. And certainly the planets have ways of describing when there's, you know, a peak Mars moment that nobody really likes, or something like that. But the prompt, the problem is that those they never stop. They just keep coming. You. It, and eventually people get astrological burnout because they feel like it's their interest in astrology that's keeping them in a wheel of constant chaos and stress. And this is true. This is why so many people they get they get interested in astrology like the same divisiveness, rage and anxiety that keeps people addicted to news cycles or stressful information or feuds on Twitter or whatever. And we don't we want astrology to function as something that helps us see these patterns and step out of the chaos, right? And say, I'm going to live a life. It's going to be filled with these cycles of ups and downs. But my piece is going to be a moment by moment proposition and something that I really have to foster and take care of. I have to find the loving seat of my heart, you know, and sit in it and learn to abide, abide there and then the way I talk about 2526 can't be categorized in big, black or white terms, like wild or crazy or good or bad. You know, we start those that way of categorizing things. We know, if I'm not careful, that kind of thinking is going to take me out of this moment where actually my piece is at stake right now, you know, because then I get down stairs after this, you know, there'll be two, there'll be two strange little alien children that will be challenging my sanity. You know, it's never stops.
Which sign holds the grudge the most. Scorpio. No, I'm just kidding. Signs don't hold grudges. People do. You know that's an it's an important distinction.
Let's see here.
Could you explain the distinction of how transits are handled from a Hellenistic perspective versus a Jyotish Vedic perspective. Well, they're really very similar. In fact, I I don't know of any, like, really super meaningful differences. I'm sure there are. But, like, transits are, if you think, if you think of your chart like a, like a garden, you know, and it's a garden of karma around our house. My wife is really good at this. She knows how to plant all sorts of things so that there's pops of color at different times, from like, early spring, like, I don't know, through the summer, there's always something that's like popping up with color. And she studies this. She is a big thing for her. Well, short is. Short answer is that the transits are telling you where the color is going to pop in the natal karma depicted by the birth chart, the color popping being the karma that's expressing. This is also the problem with saying, I am my birth chart. From the ancient perspective. You're not your birth chart. Your birth chart is like a Mantic field that is symbolically reflective of the karmic field that you're ensconced in. And so transits are just telling you what aspects of that karmic field are popping and it speaks as a Mantic field differently depending on what time of life you approach and why you're approaching So, yeah, transits are basically the same, though, in both traditions. In that sense, would you say that a progressed New Moon is a once in a lifetime event? I just had a progressed New Moon in my own chart. So I'm also right there with you. It's not a once in a lifetime event, no, because the cycles are, you know, maybe about 30 years. So you can, you can have a couple in a lifetime, but they are, they're significant. They're significant omens or signs of change. You know, in the same way that you're not going to get a Pluto conjunction to a planet twice in a lifetime, like things that only happen once or twice astrologically in a life, certainly tend to carry a little bit more significance. Sure, how are your girls feeling? Are they getting better? Yes, we're going to see in Minneapolis. There's a theater called the Guthrie. We're going to see a Christmas carol this evening with some friends. And they're they're my wife, my daughters are all out of the woods. I managed to not get sick, thankfully. So we're all going to go out tonight. Well, I'm just hoping that they're not like coughing all night in the theater, because they're they're at the stage where they're not contagious. They're fine, but they're still coughing a little bit. So thank you. Let's see, is pledge the same as contributing? Yes, a pledge is the same as contributing. Your pledges are not taken out till January either. So if you want to pledge, you're like, oh, I need to wait. They're not going to charge your credit card until January 1. So just keep that in mind, if you donate today, on the 21st you'll be entered to win a trip to Mexico with us. Our retreat is next June in Mexico. If you pledge today, you're going to be entered for a chance to join us for free on our retreat. I can't, can't wait. Isn't that a fun gift? I think that's fun. I've heard, I believe I've heard you mentioned integral theory before. Do you blend or find Ken's work helpful with astrological work? I'm not a big Ken Wilber person myself. I've mentioned, you know, like, metaphors are helpful ideas that I've picked up along the way from him. So certainly, yeah, like, I know his way of thinking about things is pretty cool. Like, I everything I've heard, you know, I tend to resonate with but I've not gotten into him so deeply. Yeah,
yeah,
if we're listening to your horoscopes, but listening for sun and not rising, how do we couple the info from the houses plus translate for the sun? Don't that sounds ridiculously complicated. I'm just messing with you. Look, no, my answer, though, would be like, don't, don't. Listen to your sun sign, listen to your rising sign, and get to know Hellenistic astrology, because it's going to be 10 times more accurate once you get to know Hellenistic astrology. And that doesn't mean that you can't find resonance with your sun sign. I'm not saying that, but like knowing the transit location in your whole sign birth chart, it once you start studying Hellenistic like you'll you'll never go back. I can promise you that I've seen like just hundreds and hundreds of students come through. And once you really start learning Hellenistic and the whole sign paradigm, and if you, especially if you, if you come study with us, you're going to find that there's just, just no comparing the accuracy of a rising sign transit to your sun sign. The sun sign can definitely like it's they're all divinatory approaches. So you can get something of value from sun sign astrology. But yeah, I just, I feel like, if you start studying Hellenistic at some point, pretty much everyone starts seeing why rising sign works better. But yeah, that's, you know, obviously, that's just My take. Yeah,
let's see here.
Nothing better to do than to kickstart the new with a genuine donation. And hey, maybe NL, Mexico, that's yeah, there we go. Thank you.
Do you do astrology readings on health? I do not a little bit of horary health work, and obviously, like major transits to health houses and stuff like that. But I'm not, like a medical astrologer. It really comes down to the moment of astrology, doesn't it? It does. I know that this sounds like so trite, and it's so annoying on a certain level. So I always risk feeling like I'm just going to annoy people by saying this. But we have to take more seriously the idea that the present moment is all that's real. You know, it's like every tradition tells us this, like presence that's the eternal real is right now, right here. And How helpful is it if half of our astrological way of thinking encourages us to dissociate from presence, right that, that it's incompatible. So we have to be, we have to be really diligent about that, and stay, stay very close to that, which is why you'll see a distinct difference in the lives of astrologers and how they talk about astrology when they have committed practices of presence, contemplation, mindfulness, even creative flow states. If you practice astrology along those kinds of things and you value the work of staying present and conscious, you know having that illuminated quality of awareness and trying to stay close to inner discernment in the moment. The way you talk about astrology has to change, and the reason it has to change is because you start understanding that all the ancient practitioners were coming at it from this specific space. There's a reason that 2000 years of Indian astrology is rooted in yogis and. Is rooted in Jyotish, you know, the study of light, the light of consciousness and awareness.
Let's see here, any type of pledge, yeah, any type of pledge.
You just, if you pitch in today to the Kickstarter, you'll be entered to win. Okay, here's the, here's the here's the link. Again,
I've been procrastinating my pledge because I couldn't decide what I what all I wanted, but a chance for the Mexico retreat motivated me to finally do it. Good, excellent. Yeah, I'm glad. I'm so glad to hear that. Thank you for supporting us. Crystal says, Take five minutes to donate. Thank you. Appreciate it. There's a liberation in knowing that life is always peaks and valleys and sometimes just valleys with occasional peaks. Yeah, exactly, totally.
Um, um, yeah, I think there's a shift as listeners, where we initially come to ease easy anxiety or concert, and then transform just into observation. Yes. Symbols are things that invite participation. So when you're going through life events and you observe astrological correlations. The symbols can do a lot of things. For example, a symbol can help you carry weight. It sounds strange, but it's literally like, if you know there's a Saturn transit going on, you could be like, well, Saturn's cursing me. That's the causal world. Something's doing something to me. Or you could say, I'm experiencing something, and I can see it in the light of Saturn. And then the burden psychically you get to transfer, and Saturn says, I'll help you carry it. And a symbol can literally carry psychic weight. And then you're not walking and carrying that weight on your own. It's like I've got a backpack, put some of the shit in my backpack. Symbols can do that. Symbols can if you're if you're walking along a path and you're having an experience, having a symbol alongside of that experience, the symbol can give you this kind of like, it like digs a hole and takes you deeper and deeper and deeper, so that an experience becomes more meaningful and it has depth in it. So probing experience for depth, a symbol can help you do that, like a miner's light symbol can help you carry weight. A symbol can do all sorts of things. And when we start to see, rather than riding the roller coaster and looking at the astrology to give us a sign when the roller coaster will stop because it won't. We, instead, start thinking about how the symbols can create participatory levels of reality and experience. That's how we get off the ride. You know? All
right, I think we're gonna, I think we're gonna shift into some Birth Chart readings.
Hey, thank you. Thank you. Really appreciate that. Pitching in to back the Kickstarter. Love it. Let's get into I think we're going to do readings
next if we pledge for the Kickstarter, yes,
when is the draw for this trip? I'll be doing it this week. So after the pledges come in, at the end of the 21st I'll take all of the names that donated on December 21 and put them into a hat, so to speak. We'll have a way of generating a random result.
Curious, if your physical transformation this past couple of years with I'm not sure I understand the question. I'm going to, like, I'm finishing a 35 week lean bulk next week, and I'm going to take some before and after photos, and I'll probably share them on Instagram, and maybe I'll share them on, like, a YouTube post or something, and just kind of like, show people, like, kind of like my progress over this past program, you know, because I feel a lot of encouragement, and it's, it's really fun to share this part of my hobby with people. Since you all i. Talk about it on the channel a little bit. I might just share it on Instagram, I don't know. Sometimes I like sharing it on YouTube, but I don't know. So anyway, we'll see about that. But if you follow me on Instagram, I'll be showing you my updates. Yeah, I just, I'm probably ended up putting on about 2324 pounds since April. So and I'm gonna take about a four or five month like maintenance period, just to let my body chill out a little bit from a lot of hard training, and then I'll start pushing another lean bulk in the spring. Yeah, it's a part of my goal to maybe do a show in the next couple of years, but lot, a lot of hard work yet to go. But I love it. It's my hobby. It's how I stay well. So does studying astrology inspire playing music for you in any way? Yeah, I would say it's more like playing music inspires my astrology, not the other way around. I
do you apply astrology for your dogs? Yeah, yeah, sometimes, why am I not feeling the love from Jupiter in my first house? This is a great question. I've been looking for blessings to appear. There's a great book. Oh, God, I look at my closet. I need to organize my closet. I my closet is a mess right now, with books on the floor. I've gotten a little manic in there lately? Anyway? Yeah. Well, what I would say is that frequently people misunderstand the nature of Jupiter. So Jupiter, one level of Jupiter, can be about blessings and abundance and, like, good luck. Sure, that's like one part of Jupiter. But Jupiter's role is actually like, you know, in Indian astrology, is called the guru, and in ancient Western astrology, he has to do with the development of wisdom and the cultivation of meaning, you know. So if you study astrology, you're doing something, from a certain standpoint, that's very Jupiter. And you're you're building a sense of what is true or real, as much as you can understand anyway you know about the cosmos, religion, philosophy, academia, the courts of law, institutions of religion, these are all Jupiter and institutions have really nothing to do with like money or good luck. Jupiter is also the administrator of karmic justice, but his administration of justice is more rooted in things like morality and meaning than Saturn, which has to do with things like death, decay, impermanence, loss and grief. So like for example, Jupiter has been on my son for the past several months, like, because it's stationed basically right on my son. That experience for me has been like a mini masterclass in being a dad, and a lot of it has been getting some really nice corrections and adjustments, unconscious material that has become, I feel like I've become a lot better dad in the past couple months. Really leveled up my game. You know? That's Jupiter. This, that's Jupiter on the sun. It's not lucky. It's wise, you know. So in other words, sometimes we go looking for Jupiter bring like promotions and money and success, but it's, it's trying to make us wiser, and once in a while, Jupiter will translate into, you know, the kind of success that I know we all hope for. And it's not, it's not like he doesn't ever speak to those things. But you know, Jupiter's frequently involved in moments of karmic justice, where we have to learn something, our morality has to be checked, our motivations, our search for meaning, or how meaning directs our lives in different areas, has to be revised, because we're we're ready to grow and learn in wisdom. That's like Liz Green wrote a book. That's what I was going to grab from my closet. I think it's just called By Jove. But look for, look for Liz Green's latest book on Jupiter, because I think Sarah, it will really help you, if you take a moment to read that book. She talks a lot about the deeper psychological and archetypal Jupiter, which a lot of people end up getting disappointed. You know, by the by exactly the kinds of things that you're dealing with. Like, I thought it was coming through my 10th house. I thought I was going to get a raise or something. So Liz green talks a lot about that in her book. I think you'd like it. You've talked about not comparing or over valuing techniques the Senate ruler, fine. Dispositor, et cetera. But if you had to choose a favorite which and why,
I'd say outer planetary transits like the transits of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, two traditional planets in the natal chart, they have a way of really burning off or redirecting the expression of the karma. In fact, I think that's my favorite part about modern astrology, is that the outer planets by transit are just like karmic they're like karma busters. They can, they can very powerfully change the expression of karmic patterns in our lives expressed by the traditional natal planets in the chart. So when the outer planets hit them by transit, they are there. You can just like, set your clock to the to the transformation occurring. So I like using those a lot. That's probably my go to pledged, amazing. Thank you. Crystal has been listening since 2012 really, that's crazy. Crystal. Have Have we ever met at some kind of event or a conference or something, or were you a sky house person? Did you come out to our studio anyway? That's cool. You've been listening for so long. Thank you. I Why no cuts in your training? Well, I did about a seven or eight month long, like, very slow cut slash body recomposition last year, and then my lean bulk, I've put on barely any fat. Like, I've gone up like 23 pounds, and I'm still at like probably 12% body fat. So I'm taking a step back, because 35 weeks of pushing hard is obviously like a lot on the system. So I'm just gonna give my central nervous system a little rest, go into a maintenance phase, and then keep pushing. Because if you're lean bulking, and there's no, you know, there's you're not gaining much fat. You're gaining a lot of lean tissue, there's really no need to cut, especially when your long term goal is to get to significantly higher weight. The way my coach looks at it, he says, you know, if you're gaining mass and barely, you know the lean bulk is successful. Taking some little breaks to make sure you're not pushing too long is good. And you might lose a little bit of weight during that maintenance phase, you know. But then you, you know, you continue to push. And as long as your body fat percentage is staying low enough, there's really no reason to cut. You can just save your cut till, till the end, basically, you know, until you've reached the kind of mass that you're trying to get to. So that that, you know, everyone has different philosophies, though, like, that's my coach, but he's, you know, he's performed and won at the highest levels, so I trust him, and more than anything, like, he's, he's about health. So, you know, he's mostly about making sure that we do things in a way that's about health and longevity more than a show you know,
all right, what? What else
by Jove is excellent, yeah, that's, that's the book I was talking about. So good.
Adam, you are such a prolific creator. Can you tell us about your daily routines and how you're able to be so productive while at the same time? Yeah, well, first of all, I have to say that I think that there's a myth that everyone is supposed to be super productive, and I think certain personalities are, are meant for certain kinds of approaches to life. Well, my personality fits very well with, like, consistent, devoted practices and routines. And it's just like, you know, like, you know how like some dogs are, just like, meant to pull weight, they're like, work dogs. I'm a work dog. I'm just meant to chop wood and carry water. You know, I've got three planets in the sixth house, Capricorn moon. I'm a cancer, Sun and Mercury. So I can, I can still be pretty gentle. And I'm Taurus rising. So I like my cookies, but, yeah, I'm just like, I'm very, I'm a very, like, I'm a creature of I used to be a creature of discipline. Now I'm a creature of devotion. That's been the best change possible, because my discipline is no less, but the way I carry discipline is a lot softer, a lot gentler, a lot more humor, you know. And people who've watched my channel, I'm sure you've seen some of that change. Over the years, like it's just softening the way that I carry discipline. So, yeah, but my daily routine is really simple. It's and I mean it when I say that, it's like this pretty much year round. I mean, there's always variation, but I wake up during the school year help get my kids out the door, you know, shower, get ready, all that good stuff. Come up here. Plan my talk for the day. The very first thing I do, plan my talk for the day. Write it out, record it, then we get it all curated, so to speak. And then, typically, it's like there might be reading, student questions, curriculum design, like all sorts of stuff I have to do for the maintenance of the school or writing a book. You know, I might during book writing phases. That's the hardest, because my days get really long when I'm writing a book and my family sees me less, because I'll often have to be up here during the evenings getting some writing done. But I'm trying, I try to be really careful and not make you know, I I took a lot of breaks. It took me two years to write the book, and that I had to be patient so that I could have gotten it done probably in seven or eight months, you know. But I took two years so that it wasn't interrupting to my family. So I was very careful about that. But then, then I go to the gym for like, two to three hours, and then I come back and in the evening, spend family time, and then it's the exact same thing. And then on the weekends, I teach and try to take the rest of Saturdays and Sundays off in the afternoons to be with my family. And I'm not kidding you when I say that that's like 365 that's, that is the pattern. There's little moments, you know, might take a little vacation here or there, but even on vacations, I have to produce all of my content in advance. You know, before we go on vacation, it's all got to be done so that while I'm on vacation, I don't have to record so if I want to go on vacation for like, two weeks prior to going on vacation, I have a doubled workload because I have to produce everything for while I'm gone, you know. So it's a lot, but I love it too. It's like I wouldn't do it if I didn't love it. So I can't do it. I can't do any of it without the daily practices, whether it's been meditation or working out or a combination of the two. I cannot do the astrology work daily in the way that I do without a practice that allows me to, like, purge and like, let go of shit. You know, I have to clean out and do that every single day. Otherwise it doesn't happen. Okay?
Uh, so here's how you can join me. If you want to join me for a reading. Right now, I'm going to take two people in the studio for readings you want to email. Grabbed at Nightlight astrology.com. Grabbed at Nightlight astrology.com email me, and in the subject line of the email, here's what you're going to put. You're going to put your name like a first name, and then you're going to put the topic that you want to talk about, career, love. Money, health, parenting, pregnancy, like whatever it is, put your name, put the subject you want to talk about, then in the body of the email, put your name again and put your time date and location of birth. Time, date, location of birth, a couple of instructions. You have to have a good memory, like, if you've got, like, a terrible memory, because if I want to ask you questions about the past or your life, you need to feel comfortable talking on camera in front of the audience. You know, you can't mind that this is going to be forever housed on my YouTube channel. You're giving permission for us to use and keep this on the YouTube channel, and you're obviously comfortable talking in front of an audience, and you got a good memory to talk about your life. Memory to talk about your life, and don't talk don't bring anything on. You want. You don't want to open up and talk to me about you know. So that's it. Grabbed at Nightlight astrology.com, your name, that what you want to talk about in the subject line, and then in the body of the email, give me your birth data. Now the great news, I think, is that if you're someone who likes astrology, this is going to be a good way to learn astrology by seeing readings done. There's really no better way to learn not that my way of doing things is the only way, either. But you know, it's good. It's good to see a practitioner working with people. So wait, this is a good question while you guys are sending them in. Now answer a few last questions, then we'll get get you guys in here. What kind of workout split Do you like the best right now? The last 20 some weeks, I've been on a really intense program with four days on one day off, four days on one day off. In the four days, it's push, it's push, pull arms, legs, push, pull arms, legs. So, yeah, I did not like that. It was just, I'm so ready to be done. Because it's been, yeah, I mean, I've a lot of growth, right? So that's been, the gains have been awesome, but, yeah, I'm definitely ready for maybe like 212, or something. So we'll see. We'll see what happens next. Whatever my coach has for me, I just say, aye, aye, captain, let's go. How do you stay grounded, considering all the parasocial energy cords connected to you, I rant and bitch a lot and then feel guilty later. You know, I come on live streams and and I vent all my frustration. Just kidding. Yeah, I have to be very careful. I don't, I don't watch the news. I I don't engage much with the comment section anymore. I'm barely on I'm on social media to connect with people in more personal ways, like when people reach out to me and stuff i i like that, but, yeah, otherwise, I just have to have, like, tunnel vision, you know, I'm this is the work. I'm here to do the work. The rest is not my business. What people think about me is not my business, and what I who, the people I do care about are the people you know, the students in my care, my family you know, like whatever's right in front of me is where I try to stay. I
does your spiritual practice look like these days? I think I've said that already.
Okay, do not put your birth data into the chat you got to email
good answer or rituals for transmutation or clearing. Gosh, not really. I mean a good walk, a good workout, a good shower, a good hot bath. Usually do do me well, hanging out with my wife and laughing, you know, or my kids. Therapy. I see a therapist. I see a Jungian therapist once a week for, I don't know, like eight years now, nine years, that's like all of those things. It's like it takes a village to stay sane, and in a, you know, in a public YouTube channel space. All right, let's see what we can do now for some readings here, I'm gonna, it's fun hanging out with you guys this morning, but let's, let's get into some readings for sure. Mm,
hmm, okay, I'm going to send you a link to join me in the studio, so if you just emailed me, please check your messages all right. Let's see here I'm
uh Brianna, wanting to talk about Uranus transiting your first house. I just sent you a invite. I'm going to invite three people in, and I can only get to two, but I always invite a couple more than I can get in, just in case people drop off. So don't be upset if I don't get to you, like you might get a link, but not get chosen to be on. I don't ever want people to feel bad about that, but that's just how It
works. Okay, let's see here.
Here, all right, Nicole, I'm sending you a link. You want to talk about
getting off the Saturn ride like that's a fun that was different
and fun. Let's see.
Jessica, I'm sending you a link.
Topics, make sure to put your topic in the subject.
You, Julie, okay, I think I've got like four or five of you that I've invited in now, so let's start. We'll start there. Brianna, are you ready? Can you hear me? Yeah, there you are. Hi. Good morning. Thank you so much. Yeah, thanks for thanks for coming on. Appreciate it. Let me just briefly remind people before we get going. If you have been with us for the live stream today, one kind of special announcement before we get into Birth Chart readings is we are obviously we're in the midst of our annual Kickstarter campaign. If you donate today, you're going if you donate today, you're going to be entered for a chance to join us on our Mexico retreat next June, which is taking place at a really awesome retreat center in in Mexico on the beach. So you get all you have to do is pay your way to and from Mexico, and the retreat itself will be paid for that's going to be a special bonus for anyone who donates. Today, you're going to be put in a drawing to receive that Mexico retreat. So if you haven't donated yet, please do and now let's Brianna. Is it Brianna or Brianna?
Either way is fine. I think it depends on your accent, but I call myself Brianna.
Brianna, okay, I'm going to put up your birth chart. What's your the date of your birth,
May 9, 1989 7:09am,
and the the place
San Clemente, California.
Now I have,
I have you as Gemini rising, does that sound right? Yes, okie dokie,
oh, man, I did not consider bedhead this morning.
You're fine. You're fine. Okay, tell me. If you can see the chart on the screen, yes, I can. Okay, what are we going to talk about? You? Tell me.
So I like to just understand. So I know that Uranus went through your first house for the past seven years, and I'm a Taurus son, so it went through my 12th house, which had a lot of profound changes, yeah, but I like to see maybe how that's going to be different in the next seven years in my first house. Like, am I going to get an Adam Elenbaas glow up?
That's great. I love that.
Okay, so let's just see here. Do
how's your I mean, just overall, you don't have to say anything. You don't feel comfortable sharing. But how's your health been? How have you been feeling?
So yeah, there were a few things, and I just ended a five day fast. So I've been trying to work on health. I do have, like, a diagnostic mammogram coming up and something so, yeah, you know, I don't know it's not bad, but there are some things I'm trying to improve and work on.
Okay, yeah, fair enough. The reason I ask is because, you know, whenever people ask me about my first house transit, the way that I would put it, even more than the physical transformation, is the transformation of vitality and health. Okay, anything in the first house that's going to be about glow ups or physical appearance is typically tied to an increase in vitality or spirit. Uranus is a great Awakener, and so as a planet that liberates, revolutionizes, frees, emancipates, its goal in the first house is to emancipate the spirit, the vital force. This the spirit is closely. It so closely resembles our sense of self and identity, right? Think about it like this, when you feel good and you're just like glowing and feeling vibrant, isn't it? Isn't it? In those moments. Where you go, I feel like me. You know, I feel like myself. So most of us, when we get really healthy, we come out of difficult habits, whether you know, it's like drugs in my past or whatever someone has a maybe they lose weight, or whatever the case might be. Typically, the way they talk about the transformation is in terms of identity as well as actual health. I became I became empowered. Is a typical way that we have of describing what it feels like to go from unhealthy to healthy or in and not like sometimes it's just one very specific way, like I discovered the rhythm of sleep and wake and rest and recovery. Or I discovered, you know, whole nourishing food. Or I started doing Pilates or yoga, or something like that happens, and we start talking about ourselves like, I feel more like myself. I feel less stuck in old patterns, the future seems more open. I feel more creative. The creative possibilities and doors are opening more all of that is because the spirit feels more alive and awake. And when that it's like a flame that's burning bright. When that flame is burning bright, then the sense of being awake and creative possibilities all kind of go together and feel like everything's opening
that makes total sense, even like so I just finished my five day fast, and I've been working on, Oh, can you hear me? I've been working on health and improving, just like in the same sense that you just said. And yesterday, I found that, okay, so I'm starting this low carb and all this stuff, and I was up till 1am because I was so energized, and I was working on writing. I was writing meta fiction, you know, all this stuff for an MFA. So I just felt so alive, in a sense. And I think that it had to do with the changes that I had made the past few weeks. Yeah.
And for you, you know, as a Gemini rising, Mercury is going to be your ascendant ruler. And the first sequence of major events that will happen will involve the passage of Uranus, over mercury, over the ascendant and then over Jupiter. First of all, for you to connect your vitality to the creative act of speaking or writing or interpreting or articulating would be very predictable for Mercury there, you know what I mean. So I would imagine that for you, you may notice a pretty intimate connection between your writerly voice, the act of writing, speaking, maybe even teaching, and increases in vitality. And so there's a clue there for you get healthier the stream of consciousness writing will start flowing. You know what? I mean? Like, yeah, so Mercury is also already very inventive. It was the original planet of inventors. And so in Uranus, obviously, is definitely the modern planet we think of when we think of inventiveness. But when you place mercury and Uranus together, things can get really, really unpredictable and very creative. So breaking outside of your own boxes in terms of how you see yourself, in terms of how you think perceive cognitive changes, creative changes that carry the cognitive changes, all of which can dovetail really nicely with things like taking better care of your nervous system, making sure that you become very aware of what kind of mental stimulus keeps the spirit bright and healthy, like, what's the right fuel to feed the fire of the mind and the nervous system. Uranus can revolutionize that by saying, hey, look stimulants beyond two cups of coffee not good, or it can say something like no screen time an hour before bed, and you're going to notice big differences with those kinds of things that have subtle effects on the brightness of your mind and spirit, and that can directly convey into things like writing and your your MFA work and stuff like that.
Yeah, totally. And, oh, sorry, I think I see you on the TV talking, but I'm looking at my phone and I don't hear anything. Oh, no, yeah, I'm right here. Okay. And then, just like, I guess, could we look a little Okay, so, and is there anything else, I guess that's it. That was very fun and very good. But is there anything else that you see?
Well, let's, how about we time out the the Uranus transit to Mercury. Okay, that's perfect. Thank you. Yeah, that'll be a good way to just put a little bow around this. It's always fun. Like sometimes, you know, like in when people. People come to readings. If we were doing a full reading, we'd find four or five other things to talk about, you know, but this is a nice one that can give people ways of thinking about maybe their own Uranus transits that are coming up. I'm going to be doing some horoscopes for Uranus and Gemini in a live stream later this week.
So, oh, cool. Okay, so I guess maybe I don't know if the it's redundant,
but no, no, not at all. It's fine. So let's get Uranus into the first house, and then you see it's going to get really close to that mercury. But then it stops short, and stations. So I would look for this point. This is like August into September, when a planet gets that close to stationing on a natal planet within a degree, it's still very potent, even if it's not exact, exact. So your first like, okay, Uranus is really affecting that natal mercury, and there's a field of events that are constellating around you that reflect that symbolism that's going to be like late August, September, something's going to get started. You're going to be on the brink of something. Something is going to feel like it's moving in and trying to establish itself. It's not quite the time for it. It'll be like a preview. Then you're going to see this is the most potent part of it, because at the same time that Uranus is now conjoining mercury, it'll be trining Pluto in your ninth This is what June of 27 so an interesting thing is, you're going To have eclipses starting next summer. Well, actually even this winter, but the nodes will move into Aquarius and Leo, and you'll start getting north node eclipses in your ninth house, Pluto's there. So there's this transformative ninth house, dynamic, right? Faith, belief, religion, higher education. And it's there's intense transformation happening there relative to Mercury, because it's trining Mercury at the same time that Uranus is conjoining it, right? So this is the moment, June 27 when that mercury in terms of identity, health, vitality, writing, mental makeup, huge change because of the combination of Uranus and Pluto both touching that planet at the same time. So this is the moment when I would say, when does your glow up? Like, really? Just kick the door open and you're like, in a totally new era of life. It's right here. Okay?
June 620, 27 I'm applying to a doctoral program, and so I wonder if you mentioned August and September 2026 so I wonder if I'll get in and that will be a start.
There you go, yeah. And this could be, who knows, because then, if you take this forward, just to show you the process, Uranus is going to cross your ascendant by August 27 right? So the journey continues. And then, if we take this back through its retrograde, it'll come back onto your natal mercury and station right. So it's basically stationing right on it, and in another trine to Pluto in the ninth house, by February of 28 and then it's going to go forward again by March of 28 still trining Pluto very closely in the ninth. Now it goes, then it goes over the ascendant in Jupiter. So it's like it's it's a long process. And then Pluto will retrograde, back into a trine with mercury. This is August 28 Uranus will retrograde, come back over and station basically on the ascendant in a trine with Pluto. Right? You see what I mean? So this is March of 29 this would probably track out through a PhD program, maybe start to finish. Do you see what I mean? Yeah, that's crazy. Okay, very exciting, though. You're going to become a conduit for conversations, probably, that are somewhat collective in nature too, like the direction of politics or technology or, you know, questions about what this moment in human history means on like levels of truth and higher meaning. You know, that's a Pluto in the ninth kind of conversation.
That's what I think about.
There you go. Yeah, I can't make this stuff up.
Awesome. Well, thank you so much. I appreciate you.
Yeah, yeah. Thanks for coming on. Really appreciate you too. And I hope you have a great rest of your day. Thank you. You as well. All right, awesome. Jessica, hey, hey, how are you? I'm great. How are you good? Yeah, thanks for coming on. I'm going to pull your birth chart up here. What is your date of
birth, April 18, 1977
and your time. 8:10pm,
and the place, Windham, Connecticut.
Okay, so I have you as Scorpio rising. Yes. Okay, perfect. I'm going to put your birth chart up on the screen.
Can you see it? Yes.
Okay, awesome. What are we going to talk about? So I'm thinking
a lot about career lately and where I'm at. About a year ago, I made the decision to leave the work I was doing full time in like staff development training world, to go back to school to get my degree, my degree, my master's in clinical mental health counseling. So that's my second master's degree. My first is in organizational leadership, and during this time, I'm focused on school, but also helping my husband's business get really organized, because he started a business a couple of years ago needed some like back office operations assistance. But during this last few months, I started school, and that's going great. I've had an opportunity to start a yoga teacher training course, and this like spring semester, so I'll be doing yoga teacher training from January to April. And I'm feeling like pulled back to, like my own work, like as much as I am enjoying, like supporting my husband and getting his stuff situated, I really feel compelled to be doing the work that I'm meant to do out in the world. And I feel like just the opportunity for yoga teacher training is like reminding me, like there's stuff that I want to be doing, so I'm trying to figure out how to balance that.
Okay, so balancing what you want to do with what's the other half of the equation
with getting my husband's business like the reason I can be in school right now and having this time is because I'm doing this work for him, so it gives me the ability to have the luxury, the privilege of being in school full time and doing yoga teacher training and but I also want to be doing my own work. So I'm trying to figure out, like, am I should I be going the course the next three years and really focused on supporting him, or trying to find a way to do both? And what does that look like? I've I'm starting to really get, like, the creative entrepreneurial juice is going of like starting my own classes once I finish teacher training, or I've got some experience that I can do coaching with families from a model that I plan on using once I'm licensed as a clinician, but I've got permission from the creators of the model to be doing coaching with families right now. So I'm like, should I be starting to build that out now, prior to, like, getting my degree, and I'm I'll be finishing my degree in the spring of 28th
Okay, and have you enrolled in the yoga teacher training program?
Yes, I start that. I'm in, like, the reading, the pre reading right now, our class starts in January. Okay?
So the question is about balance. What does your husband's work need from you, or, like, where is it at in its growth and evolution right now? Can you describe that a little
bit for me? Yeah, I'm doing all, like, the back and stuff. He's he doesn't have a lot of business acumen, and my organizational leadership degree was in the field of business, so it's building all like the back end systems and supports. It's really leaning into, like my organizational skill. My goal, with having taken this on with him, was to get it to a point, so by the time I finished school, was my initial thought. I would have it ready for him to hire somebody else, and it would be organized for somebody else to step in, like, I could train them, and they could take it on. So it's, it's been a lot of, yeah, getting stuff organized and systems built to support it.
And how is the business doing? Is it like starting to take off? Is it is it stabilizing? Is it like, where's it at?
It it is incredibly successful. And at the same time, there's like, there's, I feel constantly like I'm in the penguin, like one of the penguins from Madagascar with, like, you know, we're duct taping this thing together. There's a lot of education. And my own therapist reminded me years ago, I can't train my husband. So that's a different, a difficult dynamic, because there's a lot of things where I feel like it's differences of opinion, but ultimately it's his business
for you to feel fulfilled, do you? I mean, if you're just like, you know you're you're you have truth serum in your system. Do you need to be able to be just 100% focused on you? Or do you think it's actually possible to do two things at once?
Um, I not only think it's possible. I feel like, generally speaking, I'm most motivated. Um. When I've got a lot on my plate, and when I'm trying to balance a lot, when I don't, I feel like, that's when I like, succumb to like, the principle of like, something in motion stays in motion. So having a lot to do, I'm I'm used to,
yeah, well, you started off asking about balance. What you just described to me sounds like you have found a balance. So what's missing then?
Um, the balance that I have right now doesn't include me adding my own component, right? It's it's school and it's his business. And I'm really wondering, like these things that I'm feeling compelled to kind of start right now for myself, are those things that I should be following on and adding more to the plate right now? Because, yeah, everything right now is in balance. If I take and add more, I'm wondering if I'm taking on too much, but I also feel really compelled to do it.
Yeah, well, that I mean, and let's So, let's go back to that question then, like truth serum question, do you feel like it's possible to add more of your own stuff while keeping the balance? Maybe reframe the question a little bit?
Yes. I mean, there's definitely, I think, the fear that comes up around, like, do I Why do I want to do this? And is it taking on too much? But then I also feel like if, in the long run, it's going to work towards that purpose, maybe it's really worth it, because I will be establishing myself, whether it's through my yoga, because I like the yoga and the counseling parts to come together when I'm done with my degree, to be able to bring to bring those works together, or even the coaching work with families, to start building that in. So I feel like if I can do it and do it well, and I've got the energy to support it, then it could really be helped me to be ready to launch that career in a couple of years.
Sure, sure. Okay, so when, like, whenever I hear someone asking like, the kind of question that you're asking, it, I have this like category that I talk about in my counseling program where I call it the permission category, and it's, it's almost like we want to check through the Oracle, through the astrology, like I'm feeling led in this direction, I could see how it might create imbalance in these other duties and responsibilities. But I also feel called to do this. You mentioned, for example, you have permission from some of the people that taught you the model of counseling that you'd like to use, to use it in coaching, that sense of permission, I feel like that is at play here. It's like, almost like I can hear the question asking guides or the universe, like, Do I have permission to maybe add some more of my own stuff to the plate? I have a lot of respect for my husband, for the business, for how we depend and rely on it. I want to keep that balance. But could I also have permission to start adding more of my own stuff? And when I ask you the question, do you think that you could add more stuff and be okay, I hear a very confident Yes, and I think that's the permission. And you know, not that we decide all things, but that there's that I was talking earlier today in the live stream about that voice of discernment and faith. And I think sometimes we just need the astrologer or the astrology to help us find that reflection of the inner knowing that we have. Like, yeah, I can do this. I don't know exactly what it's going to look like. I don't know exactly how I'll keep the balance. There's going to be a learning. Balance is something if you think about the hormone system of human beings, balance isn't a flat line, it's a it's a wave pattern, you know that has to keep fluctuating and finding like an ebb and a flow. So you might have to find that. There might be some stress in finding that. But it sounds to me like you're very aware of all of that. It sounds to me like you have a distinct calling, a sense of purpose, a sense of real care and respect for the precariousness of the balance you have to strike, and you're concerned about having permission. And I think all of that, those are all the good omens of someone who's ready to try, who's ready to go forward with it. So sometimes I feel like, you know, before I'll find some transits I'll talk about for you. But first I would just say, like, sounds like you're ready. You know, it sounds like it's it's time. A lot of these things are in motion already, too, the yoga, teacher training, the counseling, like, so in a way, it's also just like the anticipation. I sometimes use the analogy of, Do you have kids? I do okay. So, you know, the like, in before women go into labor, they get, sometimes they get what are called Braxton Hicks, you know, it's like they think they're going into labor, just in case people don't know who are listening. And I remember my wife got Braxton Hicks, you know. And I was like, every time, I was like, oh, okay, we're, you know, like, and then, oh, okay, no, it's not there yet. And sometimes I. Also feel like, you know, when there's a creative movement happening in our life and the transit is in process, and you're going, like, Can I do this? Is it time? Will I be okay? Those are actually like, Braxton Hicks of something that's in the process of being born. It's not quite yet, but it's coming. So another way of thinking of what you're experiencing and the stress and the questions around it is just the very first signs of labor creatively. And what I would also point to now would be some of the transits that are coming, and what they will bring up. First of all, I suspect that your husband's company is on the brink of becoming even more successful, and maybe more successful than either of you are even imagining for or preparing yourselves for mentally, the reason I say that is because there's some signatures coming up in your chart that I've seen many times when this kind of unexpected leap in growth of a business occurs. Let me just show you.
Okay, let's get
Okay, okay. Can you see the buy wheel on the screen? I can, okay, so the business can be looked at since it's your husband's through Jupiter in the eighth, and you see how Uranus is about to come over Jupiter in the eighth. Yes. Now the other thing that's happening that's really impressive is Pluto is going to Trine that Jupiter, and at the same time, it's moving into a square with your exalted moon in the seventh now, people tend to freak out when they see Pluto Moon transits, because they go, Oh, my God. But the thing we have to remember in ancient astrology is that you can't override the natal promise, which means an exalted moon is not suddenly going to turn into a totally shitty karma like that exalted moon is going to bring about exalted Moon kinds of things, even if it's stress test, by the nature of Pluto. But we're talking about home, we're talking about family, we're talking about foundations, we're talking about marriage, and we're talking about exalted results coming out of those things, but also transformational crisis at the same time. So that sounds alongside of Pluto trining, that Jupiter and Uranus being on that Jupiter like more accelerated growth, your business could become more successful than you're initially imagining, more quickly than you're initially imagining, throwing the balance into question a little bit, your husband's business could be rapidly expanding while yours is while you're trying to get someone trained in to take over so you can work more on your kind of that's the kind of scenario that I see, though, where there's a lot of promise here of more rapid expansion and growth, but there's a stress test for the marriage, for the home, for the family to carry all of it. But the exalted Moon is really good, like that's, that's, I think that's a great measuring stick for like, the result, right? And Jupiter in the eighth, good as well. The thing that like, if I look at your natal chart and I say, like, what is this moment? How can I contextualize this moment from the larger arc of your evolutionary purpose? Let's say, you know, like as a soul, what are you here to learn and grow? You're a Uranus in the first house, kind of person opposite some very stable, nice Planets in the seventh so there's going to be competition between holding space for others and personal growth and and evolution. And that can perfectly express itself in a counselor. You know, that's that's actually a nice picture for someone who does counseling work. You hold space for others, but you get to hold space for others because you took the time to expand and evolve personally. It's, you know, the Uranus Mercury opposition in that sense, looks really nice for a counselor, but you can see how Pluto is going to work into the opposition to Saturn in your tent, the square to Uranus in the first, the square to mercury in the seventh. So questions about loyalty, duty, obligation to self, to other, to, you know, personal evolution, marital and family, home duties like this is going to be there's a lot of stress that gets placed on these structures. But also this is the time for it, and this is a life for it, you know. So I don't see it as like, wildly out of context. Things are going to break. It doesn't, just doesn't look that way.
Perfect. Thanks. Yeah, as a Scorpio rising like Pluto doesn't scare me. And I think what I'm internalizing is I do know that this feels like a lot of pressure that's coming, and I know that it's ultimately a choice, and but I feel like I want to make the choice so I appreciate your guidance.
Yeah, I think, and I again, like that to me is like the first thing is just like, do you feel like it's the time? Do you feel like you can keep the balance? You feel called. And if all of those are yes, and there's excitement to me, those are the best omens, you know. And they actually tell me how to read the transits more than anything else, because that context is, is everything. And so, you know, I just again, like you have a lot of fixed planets in the angles, so being able to establish and carry the weight of structures and hold them and maintain them is something you're going to be really good at. But, yeah, Pluto will test all of them right now. But also these, I don't think you'd feel fulfilled if you somehow just set up too dangerous like that, to me, would feel like then these transits become more concerning to me, you know, because you're repressing something, and I think that would be more problematic.
Agreed, agreed,
yeah, hey, thank you for coming on. I hope this was useful.
Thank you so much. I really appreciate it.
