What happens when five major transits arrive in a single weekend? You are walking into a threshold where Venus turns retrograde in Scorpio, Mercury squares Mars and Pluto, Mars opposes Pluto, the Sun opposes Saturn, and the Moon reactivates an eclipse in Leo. In this podcast episode, I offer a grounded map for meeting astrological intensity without losing your soul.
Rather than predicting doom, we look at the psyche's invitation: where you must stand your ground, where you must surrender, where grace and forgiveness become radical acts. The weekend may feel tight, pressurized, clarifying. You may notice old patterns breaking open in relationships, creativity, and inner authority. The work is not to panic, but to listen.

Hey everyone. This is Adam Elenbaas from Nightlight Astrology [https://nightlightastrology.com/].
Happy Friday, everyone. We have a very intense weekend of astrology ahead of us. There are five major transits happening over the course of the next couple of days.
This weekend, we're going to take a look at all of it today. I'm going to give you some sense of how all of these pieces may fit together, though your guess is as good as mine.
When it comes to this much powerful astrology happening in such a tight window of time, you sort of just throw your hands up and surrender to it. So we're also going to talk about that.
We're going to talk about astrological anxiety and surrender to it, and also some other helpful tips for every one of the individual transits and how you can meet them.
And sort of not react and freak out, which I think is useful, especially during one of the most powerful transit windows of the year. So that's our agenda for the day.
Before we get into it, as always, remember to like and subscribe. Thank you so much to everyone for helping us reach 100,000 subscribers on the channel.
I am 99% sure, as of the time I'm recording this, that by the time you hear this, we will be there. So, if we did reach that, and I'm pretty sure we did, then thank you.
You can find transcripts of any of these daily talks on the website. That's Nightlight astrology.com, and we head over to the website. Couple of promotions: go to the shop page, click on my books.
My book, The Oracle Speaks, is out and also now available in Audible audiobook form. So click on the audiobook link. It'll take you over to Amazon where you can pick it up on Audible.
I actually narrate it and tried to create a really ambient kind of meditative experience. I love the way it turned out. I think you'll enjoy it. Go to book reading. Click on readings with Adam.
My readings are now available again after several years of not doing readings because I was working on my book. I have astrological oracle readings, which are birth chart readings.
But they focus on whatever you want me to focus on. So, if you want me to focus on marriage or health or children or like whatever it is, or if you want a general reading.
Or if you want a year ahead reading, you just tell me when you fill it out what you want, and then I create that report and do that research based on your specific needs.
I may also include the I Ching or Tarot. Now, if you can't afford reading with me, check out need-based astrology readings with our staff. Those are some different tiered pricing.
As staff members are building their careers and practices. They're all wonderful readers. Go to the courses page. Click on first year course. Ancient astrology for the modern mystic begins again November 14, 2026.
Prices are going to rise just slightly in 2027. So between this and the Kickstarter, it's a really good time to save on future education with us.
We are now an APAI certified school, which means that we can offer an incredible professional certification from one of the most reputable organizations in the world.
Means a lot to me that Nightlight was considered, you know, kind of good enough to make the grade here. So on that note, if you want to start your studies with us.
And your adventure into ancient astrology. We start again November 14. Enrollment is open. There's need-based tuition. If you need a little help to make it happen, you can pick within a sliding scale.
I'll tell you more about the course at the end of today's content. There's an informational video tagged on during enrollment season every day. You can stick around and listen to that if you want to.
Last but not least, go to the events page. The annual retreat is coming up next August here in Minneapolis. We have extended this early bird into the second week of October.
Just to give people a little bit more time and space to decide before we put the prices up to normal. So if you're interested in that, check it out.
This is a fantastic training that we offer in divination and how to develop the intuitive part of your practice as an astrologer, which is something that we don't really train or study formally.
We learn a lot of techniques in history, but we don't always take time for this. So check that out as well, and then remember every day at Nightlight community quiet.
There's free meditation every morning. All right, that does it. Let's get over to Nachepso. All right, here we go. We are coming into quite the lineup of astrological events.
And this is between Friday, October 2, and Sunday, October 4. During this time, there are five things to watch for. Five separate transits that I want to highlight.
I'm going to go through all of them at once, and then I'm going to go back through each of them individually. So the first thing happening is that we have Venus stationing to turn retrograde in Scorpio.
We did horoscopes on that this week, so you can check that out. We also did horoscopes on the Mars Pluto opposition. So there's Venus turning retrograde tomorrow, but today to tomorrow.
Friday, October 2 to Saturday, October 3, Venus will turn retrograde in Scorpio. That alone, that station point, is very powerful. That retrogradation moment often brings things.
A place of limit and powerful transformation. So Venus alone. Next on that's Venus retrograde. Next on the list is we have Mercury moving quickly through squares to Pluto today.
And through the square to Mars today. So although Mars and Pluto are opposing each other over the weekend, Mercury is sort of translating the light, you might say, to use a horary term.
Between Mars and Pluto today, Friday, October 2. That is, that's pretty epic. We'll talk about that. Then, of course, we have Mars, Pluto, and we did horoscopes for that this week.
And some coverage on that as well. There's the Mars Pluto opposition that will be perfect between today and tomorrow, but tomorrow earlier in the day is when it's exact.
So we have Mars Pluto at the exact same time as if we needed anything else. My God, we also have the Sun opposing Saturn. Now the Sun opposition to Saturn will take place on Sunday, October 4.
You can see the two planets there in that opposition. If I back this up a little bit, like just to give you the hour by hour exact moment, we're seeing that the two planets are coming together.
Very early in the morning on Sunday, October 4. So, sun opposite Saturn with the fallen Saturn and fallen sun, fun. And then, finally, is again as if all of that isn't enough.
What else is going to happen by late Sunday? We're going to see that the Moon will enter Leo, and as the moon enters Leo, it will immediately be a part of the Pluto Mars opposition.
But more specifically, now the moon is back in the sign of the eclipse in Leo from August 12, and so that will stretch out a little bit. That moon dynamic will be in effect all the way through Tuesday, October 6.
All that we're saying is that by Sunday later in the day, the moon is back in its eclipse space. That's why this weekend. That's that's why all of those nifty little factors make this weekend a cluster F astrologically.
I know that sometimes kids watch this show with their parents, so I've got to be a little bit better. Sometimes I just can't help myself. I just got to swear.
But anyway, let's go through this one at a time. Venus retrograde-we've said a lot about this week, so just know that when Venus stations retrograde in Scorpio, a Mars ruled place.
A place that's there naturally sort of tense for Venus, that the dynamic that presents itself is often one of conflict or of emotional intensity and of transformation in key relationships.
That breakdown can occur very vividly. And remember that this Venus retrograde is also going to retrograde back into the square with Pluto shortly.
So this is a time of very powerful transformation in Venusian areas: desire, relationship, sisters, women, friends, creativity, the arts, beauty, the feminine space of Venus is about to transform.
In Scorpio, that could bring up some pretty deep stuff. So, if you want more on that, look back this week on the episode I did on Venus retrograde in Scorpio.
Now, the next thing that's coming up, which is actually present today, is the Venus, or excuse me, the Mercury dynamic. So, today Mercury, if I back this up just a little bit.
I'm looking at my screen right now, you don't have to see it. But if I back the progress of Mercury up just a little bit, early this morning Mercury went through the square to Mars.
And then almost instantly Mercury later in the day goes through the square to Pluto. So the messenger contacting Mars and Pluto is effectively bringing the Mars Pluto dynamic. It's bringing it up.
It's like preemptively bringing it up, and sometimes transits manifest like this even early, early just a little bit because of another Transit activating, activating them.
So Mars Pluto about to oppose Mercury's activating them. Could see some of that Mars Pluto energy today, but Mercury square Mars and Pluto could mean that there are some big choices that are being made.
Negotiations, power struggles, conflicts. Mentally, ideologically, harsh words, or you know, almost like a kind of combative mental, emotional energy. So, and also some real deep and maybe keen insights, observations, plans, strategies, executive actions.
You know, a powerful space to think and act and feel from. Now, Mars Pluto comes up. That's coming in tomorrow. That Mars Pluto dynamic, very forceful and powerful.
Did some content on that, dedicated completely to that dynamic earlier in the week. But standing your ground as an individual amidst collective pressures and forces, adapting if necessary, but not caving or collapsing and losing yourself.
Those tensions between Leo and Aquarius are pretty dynamic. Some of this is definitely going to be showing up in the collective, by the way. So you know, be careful of what you allow yourself to get dragged into.
And protect your serenity. Take time to reflect. Be very careful around anger or strong, sudden, decisive actions that could like hurt someone, or maybe that are coming from a place of reaction.
Or pettiness, or being vindictive, or resentful. Just avoid all of that if you can. At the same time, if it's time to make a strong choice or follow an instinct or an impulse.
And you know not everyone's going to love it, but you got to do it, then you got to do it. So these are the kinds of things to pay attention to with Mars, Pluto.
Another one we covered this week. Now, Sun Saturn is that one's different because that's a little out of left field compared. All the rest of these are intertwined, right? Venus is retrograde in Scorpio, Mercury's in Scorpio.
The T square between Scorpio, Leo, and Aquarius involves all of those planets in the Mars Pluto opposition. This one's a little different because now we are looking on Sunday at the Sun in Libra.
Opposite Saturn in Aries, and the feeling you get is that there is some kind of well. First of all, it is very possible that we're going to be going through a period.
And I just want to say this because it's-I think it's something that. What do I want to say? It can. Let me move something on my screen here. It's distracting me.
We could very. This is one of those periods of time where the Mars is in Leo, right, and the Sun opposite Saturn, where solar figures can die or pass, or transitions of power can be made.
So, not unlike the Jupiter-Pluto opposition that we saw, where there are leaders or prominent figures that go through some kind of crisis or turmoil.
This can be another similar window, although in some ways it feels a little bit more critical. Mars is a bit more aggressive and even violent.
Sun opposite Saturn can feel like death, but both planets and their fall feels like not not so natural or graceful, more frontal and like a almost like a kind of assault of integrity.
Or a kind of ruthless quality that could be in the air around some of this. That's why I would advise like really being cautious about what you get yourself entangled with and how you choose to respond.
It's not a bad idea if there's time and space to just let a little time pass before trying to respond something in the heat of the moment, that Sun Saturn opposition can be about creative.
What do I want to call it? Like creative contractions, where it's something really creative is happening, but it's a narrow window of time, a lot of pressure.
And a feeling of constriction around something that feels very promising or exciting, but happens under pressure. You know, it's on my mind right now is like the real estate world because of moving.
And I'm just sitting here going like, yeah, a lot of these things happen in such tight little windows of time where you've got to do this inspection and do this thing.
And there's a deadline, and you know you gotta be under contract under a certain number of days, and it's all it's kind of crazy, you know.
It's making me feel a little crazy anyway, but the sun opposite Saturn can be about powerful moments of creativity. They're just in a really contractive, tight space.
Now, sun opposite Saturn can also be about you know like the classic metaphor is like a heart attack, and I don't I don't invoke that at all.
I just the sun being the heart and the opposition to Saturn being something that disturbs or interrupts it. When we think of a heart as joy or happiness or smooth sailing.
Saturn comes in and is like an obstruction. It's a block. It's something that can provide your sense of vitality, health, well-being. You know, sanity.
It can just provide it with the feeling of being like up against. Something that's serious and and difficult, and then you find a way to move through it.
You do because these two planets are gonna they're gonna be in an opposition for like a day. You know, it's not it is not the end of the world.
And the weekend may tempt you to feel like it is, on some level, especially for those of us who are gonna get really hit really hard by the transit.
Say, in the first five degrees of solid signs, I think, for example, or around the 10th degree of cardinal signs with Saturn, for example.
So, if you're one of those people, this might you know be especially potent. But I think the message is the same, which is there is a very deep level of healing and transformation.
And discernment and growing wisdom around the transits of this moment. They can clarify things for us, and we can we can essentially become people who are wiser, more caring.
And more and more thoughtful and careful about who or what we give our time and energy to who or what we respond to, what we allow to change us, and where we need to stand our ground.
That's the kind of feeling I get from this. But father, the karma of fathers can come up very strongly during these transits because Mars is in Leo, sign of the sun.
The sun is opposite Saturn, while both are in their Fall, dad karma-the karma around leaders or solar figures of any kind-can be quite, you know, dramatic.
We should also be careful of some temptation to delight in or try to participate in tearing someone down, even if people deserve things because of you know like some level of scrutiny or criticism is deserved.
Or some legitimate like I don't know mistakes or missteps are made. Grace and forgiveness in moments like these where there might be real villains of some kind, right? Or, or what have you?
We're setting ourselves up to receive grace when we need it, if we give it when it is needed. That's a really important secret to the transits of this weekend.
Is like stay in the forgiveness, grace, mercy channel, honesty, vulnerability, while holding boundaries, these are really important pieces of wisdom to carry with us during a weekend.
That's just really intense. So, finally on my list is the eclipse reactivation. So, the eclipse reactivation is going to start in later on Sunday, October 4.
And that activation is what kind of take us through Tuesday night. So Sunday night through Tuesday night, we have a window of time in which the eclipse is being reactivated.
Specifically, I would watch for the exact moment that the moon conjoints Jupiter, which may be a silver lining in all of this, there's just a very powerful level of restoration and healing that's taking place.
That be about Tuesday, October 6. On Tuesday, October 6, at about five in the morning Central Time, here the Moon gets together with Jupiter on the eclipse degree, right about there.
That's a pretty powerful moment, and at that time, Mars has separated from Pluto. The Sun has separated from Saturn, and some of what that eclipse is bringing-the most benefic qualities of it.
The wisest, I think, most generous things that the eclipse has to offer us-may come about as in the wake of all of this intensity, so keep your wits about you because for as as wild as some of this astrology may be.
And maybe it's something that again you just notice in the space around you, people around you, the world around you. Maybe it's not hitting you as personally, but during a window of time like this.
It can be easy to throw sort of throw up our hands too quickly, and to be patient and to wait and see to not jump to conclusions emotionally.
Again, really important because I think this eclipse window by Monday, Tuesday. That window of activation to me looks very benefic, and the the storm has sort of started to pass.
Venus is getting into her retrograde, so the real intense moment, right? It's uh, it moves by us pretty fast. So just don't freak out.
All right. Well, leave it there. I hope that this has been useful. Gosh, like you know how I can tell that I'm stressed about the astrology.
Because I don't laugh as much during the episodes where I'm talking about intense astrology that I'm personally more worried about. That I'm personally like, oh, this one.
But I, I, I. If I'm my best self, even if it's not in the episode, I do get my way to laughter because this is also absurd.
You know, if you think about it, we just built all of this stuff. We were we're like adults playing house, but we just built all the rules and all the things.
And it's all crazy, and it's all going to die someday. So we'll we'll be fine if you trust that you are truly a child of the universe who is at one with the heart of all things.
And I do, I do. That could be tested, but I'm coming back to it because I can't technically leave it because I'm a part of it.
So if you believe that, what's the what's the use of freaking out, right? Easier said than done, I know. But if you can find that sense of faith in these spaces, then it's really kind of funny, you know.
It's really, it's really kind of absurd, and you have to just, you have to keep a good sense of humor about it because that's how you stay floating along this infinite river.
You know what I mean? Well, anyhow, have a great day today. I'm going to tell you about the year one program next. Also, have a good weekend. Bye.

Hello – I would like to share my 10/3 “graha” grabbed by the planets story, without sharing my name. I stopped to take a photo of a roadside patch of ripened tomatoes in the CT countryside, since I’m an amateur photographer. Many of the tomatoes were already rotting on the vine, and others had fallen to the ground. So I took a photo, saw how a lot of the tomatoes looked rotted, and when I turned to leave picked up a few from the ground thinking they would go to waste. Next thing an irate farmer drove up on his tractor yelling and screaming he was going to have me arrested. He demanded I call the police and while I apologized, tried to give them back, and attempted to explain I stopped to take a photo and the tomatoes looked like they were rotting, he kept telling me I had to call the police because he harvests seeds from rotting tomatoes for his farm business. I rolled up the window and drove away because I was already running late and didn’t feel it was my responsibility to call the police for something so petty. A police officer showed up at 8:30 PM and read me my rights and told me I was under arrest for larceny in the 6th degree and gave me a criminal court summons for a misdemeanor. The farmer was so belligerent and insists he wants to press charges! I have no criminal record and while I tried to explain I’m a neighbor and truly thought the tomatoes were going to spoil, he’s pressing charges!
