A New Moon in Gemini This Weekend Hits Different with Uranus Co-Present

Happy Friday, everybody. Today we're going to take a look at the new moon that's forming in the sign of Gemini over the weekend.

And did you know that this is the first new moon that's taking place in the sign of Gemini since the planet Uranus entered Gemini in late April?

We had a little preview of Uranus in Gemini in 2025 but it didn't start until the summer, by which point the sun was out of the sign of Gemini, and we never got a moon cycle with Uranus co-present.

So this is really the start of the revolution of Gemini. There have been several moments where I feel like it's been picking up steam.

We had Venus go through Gemini. I felt like that gave the Uranus and Gemini dynamic a bump; we started seeing, okay, now this planet's here, it's starting to really express itself.

But a new moon cycle is a whole other level of activation, because moon cycles are really the most basic life cycle that all of the planets are engaged with.

All synotic cycles are mirrored off from the sun moon cycle, and so for a first new moon in Gemini to be taking place now with Uranus co-present, to me this is really the seeding point of a seven year long Uranus and Gemini revolution.

So we're going to talk about that today, and do some horoscopes, and I've just written out some things for all 12 signs to give you a framework for how this new moon cycle might be pointing you toward the larger arc of a revolution taking place in that area of your chart, so I think this will be a fun way of heading into the weekend.

So, on that note, let's turn our attention to Nechepso. This is the astrological software program I've been using. Nechepso is awesome. I love it. Here you can see the new moon is forming on Sunday. This is late Sunday evening into early Monday morning, June 14 into the 15th.

I have this set for horoscopes right now, but basically, Sunday night into Monday morning, depending on your time zone and place in the world, it's coming up soon. But here's what makes it really unique. This is the first new moon cycle starting in Gemini.

Now, if you go back a little bit, we had a full moon in Sagittarius with the sun in Gemini, but this is the first cycle that is starting in the sign of Gemini with Uranus co-present.

Now, if you don't believe me that this is a big deal, here's something you can do, and this is just optional homework. And believe me, for those of you who have a good memory, I think that this will hit hard. So we're going to go back to the very first time that Uranus entered Taurus.

I'm just going to take you back here, so when Uranus entered the sign of Taurus, we had it just after a new moon in the sign of Taurus. This was in May of 2018. Now you probably all felt the ingress in 2018 well enough.

I want to take you forward to a little later after the sun gets into Taurus. And here we go. So, here's the sun entering Taurus in May of 2019 and here we are, you can see the planets coming together right here.

So, this new moon cycle was about May of 2019 and it was the first official new moon cycle of Uranus in Taurus. So, I want you to go back and think about May, June, July of 2019 and look at that whole sign house of Taurus.

What you will notice, especially if the Uranus and Taurus transit was really significant in your chart, and for some people it might have been louder than others, but if that seven year period of Uranus and Taurus hit hard in your chart, you're going to notice that a lot of things got started in May, June, July after that first new moon cycle.

So that's optional homework, in case it's useful to you. Go back and check that out so you can understand that I'm not making this up just to be astro-dramatic like, oh my god, it's the first new... no, it really is a big deal when these planets get together for the first time and form a new moon cycle when there is a major outer planetary shift. It's a big deal.

So, what I'm going to do now is give you a feeling for what the revolution seeding point might be about, given the whole sign house position in your chart. These are horoscopes for all 12 signs.

I've just got something briefly that I just kind of stream of consciousness wrote out for each sign. So remember that this is the starting point of a seven year process. Uranus will be in Gemini all the way till 2032 into 2033.

So if you're an Aries sun or Aries rising, you've got this in your third house. This moon cycle is therefore presenting you with the seeds of a seven year revolution planted in the realm of your mind, your voice, your perception.

It's a new cycle around how you think, learn, communicate, and cognize or make sense of the world. Over these coming years, Uranus will liberate you from outdated mental frameworks and habitual ways of seeing or perceiving.

New ideas, new perspectives, new skills, new conversations, new forms of mental, psychological, verbal self-expression are going to start reshaping your everyday life. So that is for my Aries out there. Consider this cycle and see what's happening that mirrors any of these ideas.

Let's go to Taurus. For you Tauruses out there, Taurus sun or rising: the seeds of a seven year revolution are being planted now in the realm of money, resources, assets, and let's call them support systems.

There's a new cycle that's beginning around what you value, how you sustain yourself, and where you derive material security. Uranus is set to challenge old definitions of stability while opening new or unexpected pathways, possibly for things like abundance, material wealth, or security.

Ultimately a lot of that will end up being tied to self-worth, insofar as earning and securing your material existence lends to you a sense of self-sufficiency, and with that often comes a sense of self-worth. I can take care of myself, I'm okay. I've got a stable material base, or maybe even some wealth that I'm enjoying.

All right, with Gemini rising in the first house, or Gemini sun, either way, the seeds of this seven year revolution are now being planted in the realm of identity and selfhood.

So this is a new cycle that's about your relationship with you, with your own body, or your appearance, your purpose, your way of moving through the world, the costume that you're wearing as an identity. Uranus is awakening perhaps a more authentic version of who you are, or encouraging experimentation, or greater freedom, and a period of self-discovery.

All right, let's go to Cancer Rising. If you're Cancer rising, then the seeds of the seven year revolution are being planted in the hidden dimension of life, the 12th house. This is a new cycle beginning in the unconscious. What does that mean?

Well, it means that it's the place where insights, dreams, spiritual experiences, and invisible forces are now busy at work. Uranus can bring sudden awakenings from behind the scenes that may liberate you from old psychological patterns and open unexpected pathways to healing and spiritual growth, though sometimes through shocking you awake to certain hidden or unconscious dimensions of life that you previously could not see.

Going forward to Leo rising, this is in the 11th house. This new moon we're talking about: the seeds of a seven year revolution being planted now in your social world.

There's a new cycle beginning around things like friendships, communities, allies, audiences, future aspirations, collectives, or groups that you participate in. Uranus is now going to be reshaping your vision of what success and happiness looks like through the social slash professional arena.

That might mean new networks, unconventional collaborations, and evolving dreams about what you can become or do with your life, what your ambitions are going forward. We get to Virgo: Virgo rising places the new moon in Gemini, along with Uranus, into the 10th house.

So, the seeds of the seven year revolution are being planted in public and professional life. There's a new cycle that's starting around things like career and reputation, calling, and leadership.

Uranus is going to disrupt stagnant ambitions or vocational roles, and awaken a more innovative or authentic expression of your work or your career. The future of your work, and whatever its contribution is to the world, are now beginning to revolutionize.

All right, for Libras. Libras, we're looking at the ninth house. So we're talking about seeds of change and revolution for a seven year cycle here, being planted in the realm of belief, learning, philosophy, education, spirituality, travel, and a broader search for meaning.

Uranus is going to open the door to perspectives that challenge old paradigms or assumptions and expand your mental, intellectual, and spiritual understanding of what is real or possible. And the seeds start now.

Scorpio, the eighth house: seven year cycle of revolution being planted in the realm of intimate exchanges and transformation. Call this place the place of transformation, because it's a place of attachments, bondage, and liberation, or release from attachments and bondage.

A new cycle is beginning around the kinds of bonds and agreements and karmic entanglements that shape your life, and it's helping you to liberate from attachments that limit growth, while also helping you reshape how you share, how you trust, how you merge, and how you evolve through meaningful give and take with other people, rather than entanglements or forms of bondage.

Sagittarius rising: this brings the seeds of a seven year revolution in the realm of relationships. There's a new cycle starting around things like partnership, marriage, intimacy, interpersonal collaboration, or any other kind of significant interpersonal dynamics.

Now, Uranus is bringing change and unpredictability into your relational life, but also it's encouraging a kind of greater authenticity or freedom within your closest bonds. What does that look like? What does that mean?

It might mean getting into or out of relationships over the course of the next seven years, but the emphasis is on a revolution of what relationships mean, how they work, and what kind of growth they're providing you with.

Now, for Capricorn, we have this new moon forming in the sixth house: a seven year revolution being planted in the realm of work, effort, sacrifice, and service.

There's a new cycle that's beginning around things like daily practice, responsibility, work, discipline, sacrifice, etc. that shape your life. Uranus will change what you're willing to work for, how you devote your time and energy, what kind of work you do, how you do it, and whether you feel really committed to it out of a greater sense of service or sacrifice that is worth it.

So, the revolution has to do with how you work, how you grind, how you practice, what you're sacrificing for, what it's aimed toward, and that area of life is going through revolution now.

With Aquarius rising, we're talking about the seeds of a seven year revolution in the realm of creativity, joy, and pleasure, self-expression, romance. So a new cycle is starting with this new moon forward that revolves around things like romance and artistry and performance, the pursuit of joy, but also things like children, pregnancy, creativity.

Uranus is going to awaken fresh creative impulses in this house that encourage freedom or greater freedom in how you express your heart, share your gifts, and experience a sense of creative fulfillment.

Finally, Pisces sun or rising: you've got the seeds of this seven year revolution being planted through this new moon cycle in the realm of home, family, roots, property, land, parents, ancestral karma. It's the private side of life.

Uranus is going to reshape the structures that provide a sense of emotional at-homeness or security or belonging, and from this cycle forward, you're going to start seeing more and more opportunities to redefine what home means and where that deepest sense of grounding or at-homeness can be found.

So that takes us through all 12 signs. I think that the other things that I would emphasize for all of us is that in this new moon cycle, you're really going to start to feel and notice Uranus in Gemini more than we probably have thus far.

That means the breakthroughs: mental, intellectual, cognitive, communicative, technological, freeing up space, creating multiplicity, creating interesting polarities, paradoxes, and dualities.

You're going to start noticing the peculiar interaction of opposites and the tension between things that don't seem like they're connected, but it turns out they are. So watch for these things coming through as the new moon comes through this weekend.

I thought this would be a fun way to round out the week, just some brief horoscopes, but I hope they're useful.
