🚀 KICKSTARTER 2026
What if the true purpose of studying the stars isn't to predict your future, but to learn how to meet it? As one year closes and another waits in the wings, we're invited to a different kind of threshold—one within ourselves. This isn't about resolutions, but a return to the essential soul-work that sustains us.

In this special New Year's Eve message, I share the private prayer that guides my year ahead. It’s an invocation for how we might move through the transits not as forecasters, but as human beings: with more curiosity than judgment, more compassion than certainty, and a willingness to let the astrology soften us rather than armor us. It’s a meditation on finding endurance that comes from love, not pressure, and on carrying our beliefs with kindness first.

The most profound astrology happens when we put the chart aside and listen. It’s the practice of turning cosmic patterns into character, of allowing the transits to school us in humility, humor, and heart. This year, may we think less about our performance under the stars and more about our presence. May we take more joy in loving one another than in proving something, and may we learn to forgive—ourselves and others—again and again, so that we may also be forgiven.

Hey everyone. This is Adam Elenbaas from Nightlight Astrology [https://nightlightastrology.com/].
This evening, I have a prayer for us, or you could call it a guided meditation, I suppose, for the year ahead. This is just something from my heart to you. I was thinking about it, and I realized that every year, at the end of the year, right around this time, I generally have some very specific prayers that I pray for myself as a content creator in the year ahead, and also just for my own personal path in the year ahead.
And I thought it might be neat to share something of that with you, and to take the kind of prayer that I pray and turn it into a community meditation for the people who love and enjoy this channel. This is, again, just my way of saying thank you for a wonderful year. And I hope that this guided meditation would be useful to you.
I know some people like to do vision boards on New Year's Eve, set intentions, talk about the year. You know that we're just saying goodbye to and the new one coming. It's a good time to reflect on what we've learned, maybe to let it go, put it in the rear view, and also set our sights on, you know, what? What spirit has ahead for us coming into the new year.
So anyway, as you guys know, we're in the very final hours of our annual Kickstarter campaign. We just have until midnight. If you haven't yet supported us, please consider we're trying to get to 2043 backers by midnight. Again, just hours left if you've already contributed. Thank you so much. We still with hours to go. Need backers, so head over there.
You can find the link pinned to the top of the comment section or in the description of this video. We deeply appreciate it. I'm not going to do any more promoting on the Kickstarter. We're here. We are at the threshold. I hope we make it. But what I do have for you is just a New Year's Eve prayer.
I invite you, if it feels right, to close your eyes and listen to it or to just find kind of a comfortable space where you can take it in and maybe let it be a prayer that speaks for your own heart, if it feels right, a New Year's Eve prayer. As we come to the end of this year and stand at the threshold of another I want to take a moment to pause, to breathe, to listen, to offer a prayer.
Every year around this time, I try to do this quietly for myself, as an astrologer, as a content creator, as a husband, a father, a friend, a family member, I try to return to the things that always matter to rededicate myself to what sustains my life rather than exhausts it, and to ask for consistency, for grace, for mercy and for the strength to keep up what needs to be kept up, especially the things that are easiest to neglect, our spiritual practices, our self care, our relationships.
This year, I want to share that prayer with you and to shape it in a way that might serve anyone who listens to this channel, day in and day out. So this is my new year's prayer for myself and for you and for the space that we share here together, day in and day out. First and foremost, it is my prayer that every transit I speak about on this channel this year, every chart, every reflection, every piece of content, comes from listening, from a sincere desire to convey love and understanding, peace and devotion, care and forgiveness, generosity of spirit, humility and curiosity.
May that spirit infuse my work and may it infuse how all of us experience the astrology of the year together, as students of the stars of as lovers of this ancient, beautiful language? May astrology serve us rather than harden us. May it soften us, open us and help us love more deeply. I pray that we find humor in the transits this year, may I be graced with good humor and the ability to laugh at myself, to forgive myself, to chuckle at cosmic absurdity and to smile in the presence of mystery.
May we all laugh at ironies. May we be self effacing but not unkind. May we learn how to call one another out in good spirits and laughter. May we take more pleasure in learning than in being right, and not just here in astrology, but in our marriages, in our friendships, our families, our relationships with those we love. May we take more joy in loving one another than in proving something? May we rejoice in our ability to say I was wrong, I'm sorry I learned something.
I pray that we learn how to take a true and deep interest in others. May astrology guide us toward curiosity rather than judgment, toward compassion rather than certainty, toward listening rather than defending. May astrology help us learn and love alongside other human beings? May we become less armored and more open, may we be learners, not people who require certainty in order to feel safe. May we think less about our performance and more about our presence.
I pray that we find time to truly listen this year, to the transits, to our lives, to ourselves. May we cultivate spaces of listening, quiet walks, time on the treadmill, moments of silence, meditation, stillness. May there be a gentle reminding presence that says it's time to sit down again, and may that reminder find us throughout the year, because so many of the things we hope for, the growth, the healing, the wisdom, become possible when we remember how to get quiet.
May we learn surrender when surrender is needed. May we become may we control what we can control, and become skillful at letting go when we can't. May we forgive and forgive and forgive again, so that we may also be forgiven. May a spirit of mercy, grace, generosity and compassion walk with us this year every step of the way. May we learn how to feel our feelings deeply without letting them rule us. May we honor our emotions without being controlled by them.
May we learn how to digest things, slowly, to work with them, to understand them, before jumping to conclusions, and may we learn to stay with complexity just a little bit longer. May we study new things, and may the study of new things deepen our awe rather than inflate our pride? May learning bring us closer to reality, not further from it. May we find creativity through ourselves and through one another. May we find flow states and may we surprise ourselves.
May we find communities of substance, may we release the need for validation that does not truly nourish us and seek the connections that do. May we let go of gossip, of judgment, of venom disguised as certainty. May we replace those habits of pride with compassionate curiosity, with real interest in who others are and where they're coming from. May we carry our beliefs with kindness first.
And It's my prayer that no matter how exhausted life becomes, no matter how draining things feel at times, that I don't drift into creating work that loses contact with my heart just for the sake of getting it done, may I have endurance that comes from love, not pressure, and may all of us in the things that we're responsible for, find heart endurance, the kind that sustains without hardening. May we take very good care of ourselves this year.
Let us drink enough water, let us sleep, let us breathe deeply, let us move our bodies. Let us eat with care. Let us be mindful of what we put into our systems and into our minds. Let us rest well. Let us recover well, let us care for the living things first. May we retain a childlike spirit of awe, wonder and playfulness? May we not be so adult that we leave the child behind? May we not develop ambitions about spirituality, because it's enough simply to have spirituality.
May we be slow to entangle ourselves with people, places or patterns that train us? May we learn healthy boundaries, not walls but clarity. May we focus less on changing others and more on changing ourselves? These are my prayers for the year ahead. I offer them first for myself, and I offer them to you in the hope that something here among these prayers may serve you as well.
But above all, It's my prayer that this space remain a safe, uplifting, gentle community for astrology and spiritual life. And I want to say thank you so much to everyone whose presence helps create that tone. Much love to you and to those you love. I'll see you next year. Happy New Year. Bye.
