In this video, we explore the Sunβs trine to Uranusβa moment where the disciplined, culminating wisdom of late Capricorn meets the innovative clarity of late Taurus. This isn't about random change. It's about the kind of sudden insight that arrives only after long dedication, the elegant completion of a chapter you've been living. We'll discuss how this transit manifests not as chaos, but as a practical harvest: a role outgrown, a method refined, or an embodied knowing that finally clarifies your next right step.

Hey everyone. This is Adam Elenbaas from Nightlight Astrology [https://nightlightastrology.com/].
Today we're going to take a look at the sun moving into a trine with Uranus. This is one of a number of planets in late Capricorn that have been moving through these trines to Uranus in late Taurus. We've already taken a look at Venus making that trine, which is actually happening today. So you could always go back a day and listen to yesterday's content if you want coverage on that transit which is perfecting today.
We tend to get out ahead of them a little bit on the channel. So today we're doing Sun trine Uranus, which is coming in the next two days. We always again just go a little bit in advance to prep ourselves. I'll mention all of these transits on the Real Time Clock in a minute and remind you of them and their sequencing and everything like that, but Sun trine Uranus for today. So I've got a good list of things to watch for.
It's a nice transit, I think, one that a lot of us will experience as very constructive and helpful. So anyway, before we get into it, remember to like and subscribe as always. It helps our channel grow so much when you take a second to subscribe, if you're not already. Transcripts of any of my daily talks can be found on the website, which is nightlightastrology.com, not to be confused with night life astrology, which sounds like a dance club.
Anyway, go over to the website. Check on the events page. Go to Speaker Series at the end of this month. Once a quarter, we have a free speaker series. You can register for these webinars from awesome professional astrologers in the field, Stormy Grace, Rod Chang, Alexandra Blair, some great talks coming up. Those are free. You can attend those live. You get the replays as well.
Under the Events page, you're also going to find that my live talk is coming up on the 10th house on January 22. Come check that out. We're going to talk about the difference between the degree of the midheaven and the whole sign 10th house, which is a big subject in ancient astrology because of the whole sign house setup. That's going to be a really fun one. And you get the recording if you can't attend that live as well.
Don't forget that our retreat to Mexico in June is not yet full. There are a little less than 20 spaces left on the retreat. If you want to come check that out, the early bird sale is back up. We decided to put that back up. And then you can also, if you haven't checked out our need-based astrology readings, that's a good thing to check out. Our master class on the decans starts tomorrow.
So if you want to check that out, click on the Master Class series. There's payment plans, need-based tuition. Year three starts. The Guild starts. Lots of good things starting up at Nightlight here in the new year. Anyway, any questions you have about anything you find on our website, you can email us info@nightlightastrology.com.
All right, let's check out the real time clock, and I've got a list of five things to watch for, given the Sun trine Uranus, but let's remind ourselves of what the heck is going on. So you can see here today that Venus in late Capricorn is trining Uranus in Taurus. That transit is active today. If you're listening to this and you haven't seen yesterday's video on Venus trine Uranus, you may be experiencing that one today.
And so I recommend going back and listening to yesterday's content for a little bit on that. See, these are all coming sequentially, back to back in real close order. So if we go forward tomorrow, Friday January 16, let's spin the wheel a little bit and we're going to get the sun onto the 27th degree by tomorrow evening, that's Friday January 16. And then the trine with Uranus begins by degree.
That will then continue into Saturday, January 17, at which point, on Saturday, Mercury and Mars will be conjoining, and both will be engaging with the trine to Uranus. We're going to cover that tomorrow, so we're just hitting these trines one after another at the end of this week. Now these are subtle but important transits. And I say subtle because they're fast. They move quickly, but when they all happen in a sequence like this, it's, you know, it's worth spending some time talking about, for sure.
All right, so let's get into it. I've got my list of five things to watch for, and a couple of details to mention about this transit. One is that we have the sun in those final degrees of Capricorn. And of course, that also brings up the last decan of Capricorn. Now, you guys know I've mentioned earlier this week, I'm in the process of giving a masterclass for 2026 on the decans.
So the decans are on my mind this year a lot more than they usually are because of the amount of prep that I've done in the past six months on the decans. So all of my delineations today carry the meaning of a sun culminating in those last degrees of Capricorn hitting a trine to Uranus in the late degrees of Taurus.
So the first thing on my list to watch for is a practical breakthrough. That's, well, I think that's the best way to put it, given that we have earth signs and Capricorn loves making things practical, useful, earthy. So with the sun in that final decan of Capricorn, it often signifies something reaching a point of completion or crystallization that's taken a long time to build, or that will be long enduring, or that's been patiently structured.
Uranus can bring an element of surprise, but that surprise, given the earthy, supportive trine, is probably fitting. So you know, a practical breakthrough would be where a process is reaching a point of completion or crystallization, and then there's a sudden decision or an offer or a development that somehow maybe confirms something that you've already been suspecting or completes something that you've been riding a wave of momentum toward.
That breakthrough can mean that it's more stabilizing and grounding than you would otherwise think with Uranus in the mix. It's like a last piece dropping into place that can make something feel like again, like a wave of momentum has carried something through to completion. And the completion of a process that's been slow, long, developing is what ends up feeling like a breakthrough. It's like a transitional space around completion or harvest. A harvest moment is a good way of putting it.
So think about that right now, or don't be surprised if you notice that over the next couple of days. A lot of these things are reiterated by the upcoming trine from Mercury and Mars in Capricorn to Uranus as well. The next one is freedom through refinement. So Uranus in Taurus doesn't break things just to break them. I've had it in my first house the last seven years, so I can say that confidently.
It breaks things in order to reform and reshape them into things that are more sustainable, healthier, happier. So whether that's money, labor, land or property, food, body, business, earthy things, the sun's trine to Uranus. I think you could describe it as a moment where something is being refined, and because something's being refined and sort of perfected, the revolution is in something becoming better than it's been before.
So, like a new method or a new tool or a new bio-rhythm, a meaningful shift, a timely shift in how you manage your time, money, energy or resources. Any kind of rigid obligation that is no longer useful, letting go of it. So the Capricorn time-tested, enduring patient wisdom meets the Taurean earthly innovation. So it's greater freedom, or it's a kind of revolution, but it comes through refining something that's existing.
That's the earthy part of it. Uranus in Taurus is actually really, really good at that, I think, and matches nicely with the sun in Capricorn. Anyway, number three would be redefining authority. So you're at the end of this long Capricorn road, and the question might be, what kind of earned wisdom, authority, veteran experience and maturity has been gained, and what new possibilities are coming forth because they've been gained.
A change in professional role, responsibility or leadership, for example, would make sense with something like this, because you're peaking professionally, you've gained a lot of experience and momentum, and so now it's time for a new role. You've outlived the appropriateness of the previous role. So a promotion because it's time to redefine a role because you've outgrown it. That would be a perfect sun in Capricorn trine Uranus in Taurus kind of thing.
There's also any time that you discover an earthy form of wisdom that's been based in time-tested experience and just basic maturity. For example, I know now, having just completed a long bulking program in 2025, I just know a lot of what I didn't know before. You know, it's like, at the very least, I know what I... what is that saying? I didn't know what I didn't know, but now I know a lot about what I didn't know.
And that can mean that there's a meaningful shift that's hard to quantify, because it's about wisdom. It's about earned practical wisdom that creates a new way of doing something or a new path forward, but it's hard to quantify, because it's just embodied wisdom that redefines your mastery or your maturity. Watch for things like that, sort of slowly coming on, maybe ushering you into a new chapter in the next couple of days here.
So, all right, well, the body knows what works is my next talking point here, because this is an earth sign. And earth signs can be very somatic and very physical and embodied. Capricorn's long, steady process up to the end of the sign, meeting Uranus in Taurus at the end of the sign, might bring a lot of clarity around things that are very physical: health habits, daily routines, what your body can and can't sustain.
Work-life structures that work versus drain the nervous system. And the ambitions of Earth to create things or to sustain things are coming together to provide a wiser, better way of sustainability. Like, here's a sustainability path that's just better than you've ever had before. Or here's how to work toward your goals more efficiently or effectively, but it's rooted in the wisdom of what you can and can't sustain in the physical form. That's what I would add.
All right. Well, finally, on my list is an elegant completion. So again, I want to emphasize the potential for final accomplishments, or states of realization, where you realize something, you've accomplished something, you've completed something. These are two planets coming to the end of a sign, trining one another to create a sense of breakthrough and wisdom and greater maturity.
So when final accomplishments free you up. For example, when you get done with school, you no longer have to go to school because you've got your diploma. It's so basic, but it's very sun culminating in Capricorn. I've accomplished the university, trine to Uranus in Taurus. I have the diploma. I don't ever have to go back to that. A whole new world with a whole new set of challenges exists and is now open to me.
And that doesn't mean the work is done or the difficulty is over, but it does mean I'm at a threshold where I've completed something and a new way of life is opening itself up to me because of completion. But any letting go of roles, identities or commitments that are taking place right now in smoother, easier ways, typically, a trine is not going to be like the burning bridge kind of way.
Or even just the sense of something crystallizing in your awareness. This is what I'm going to do now, I'm clear, or this is what has to come next, now I'm clear. That can create just a subtle shift in a feeling of freedom and direction. When we have a sense of direction, we feel free. It's paradoxical, because we often associate freedom with the choice to choose otherwise.
But many philosophers have frequently talked about freedom as the feeling of being aligned with what you must do. Freedom is gladly doing that which I know I must. I think it was Carl Jung who said that. So anyway, watch for some of these things. Now, today's a little on the short side. I am, believe it or not, I'm still very slowly recovering from back-to-back illnesses that I got at the end of the year, and catching up with Kickstarter reward fulfillment and recording.
So some of these episodes are a little shorter, as I'm just trying to get my life force back up and dug out of a pile of work that I fell behind on from getting sick. So thank you for your patience on that level. I know some of you have actually commented that you like the shorter episodes too. So a little silver lining there, blessing in disguise maybe.
Anyway, I hope you're having a great day. Tomorrow, we'll get together to talk about Mercury and Mars conjoining in Capricorn, while also both engaging with the trine to Uranus. That's one more powerful sequence of the same trine energy that we'll break down in a slightly different way tomorrow. And again, if you missed Venus trine Uranus, which is happening today, check out yesterday's episode.
All right. I hope you guys are having a good one. Remember, the master class on the decans starts tomorrow. Come join us. There's payment plans and tuition assistance available. If you need a little hand, we're glad to help. That's what the Kickstarter is for. It makes sure that anyone can really take our programs. We don't want people to be prohibited because of your financial situation in life.
So I hope that that's useful, and hope to see some of you there. All right. Bye.
