What happens when the Sun meets Uranus in Gemini for the first time in a new era? You are standing at a threshold where old patterns of thinking begin to fracture, and something restless awakens in your soul.
This video walks you through all 12 signs, focusing on three themes: the impulse, the revolution, and the risk. Each horoscope offers a grounded look at where sudden clarity, creative disruption, or the need for responsibility may arise in your life right now.
The old self is fracturing so that a life path more aligned with how you are individuating can take place. The desire for freedom at all costs can destabilize relationships – but the right kind of breaking open can liberate you from invisible conditioning.

Hey everyone. This is Adam Elenbaas from Nightlight Astrology [https://nightlightastrology.com/].
Today we're going to take another look at the sun's upcoming conjunction with Uranus in Gemini. This is a transit that is helping to kick off the Uranus and Gemini era, so I think it's one that's really important to look at.
We're going to do horoscopes today and take this through all 12 whole signs, and I've got three things that we're going to focus on for each horoscope. We're going to talk about the impulse of the sun and Uranus, the revolution, and the risk, and I'm going to do that for all 12 signs.
I think it's a really fun format for this one, given that Uranus tends to bring up a lot of very different issues at the same time. So kind of a fun approach to looking at this today. Anyway, that's Jenna for today.
Before we get into it, as always, remember to like and subscribe, share your comments, reflections, experiences, stories. It's all really good to hear from all of you about the transits as they're happening.
You can find transcripts of any of these daily talks on the website, that's Nightlight Astrology.com. When you are over there right now, first thing that I want to promote is my new book is out. The Oracle Speaks can be found under the shop page.
Go to my books, you can find the Oracle Speaks right here. If you're in the US, we'd love it if you would buy the book from our website and pick it up on the website under the US only tab. That's direct from the press that we're using.
If you're outside of the US, of course, the only way to get it would be through Amazon, so you can get it there. Think Barnes and Noble has it as well, but anyway, you can find my first book that I wrote at the bottom of the page, too. We just released a second edition of it, so that's fun.
But I am super excited to be sharing this with you guys. It is a book that, so, two and a half years making, and it's all about astrology, although in some ways it's not at all a traditional astrology textbook, so I'd love for you to take a look at it.
If you do, take a picture of yourself reading it, or out and about somewhere with the book, and tag us on Instagram at Nightlight Astrology. Help us get the word out. We really appreciate it. Hope you guys will really enjoy the journey and the stories.
I absolutely loved making this. Go up to the courses page, click on the first year course. The next first year program begins at the end of June, June 28. Year one course, Ancient Astrology for the Modern Mystic, begins again.
Need-based tuition is available. The early bird sale is up and running, so take advantage of those things to help you save on the cost of the course, especially need-based tuition. If you want to take the course, but you're hurting a bit financially, check that option out.
It's there to make sure the people who really want to study astrology don't get priced out. That's really important to us. Also, go to the events tab, click on community quiet. Every day at Nightlight, we have free morning meditation.
The schedule is there, the free Zoom link to join is there. Check it out. Come join us for free meditation. It's an easy, nice way to start your day in community with other people who care about marrying spirituality to astrology.
So, on that note, let's shift our attention to Necepso. You guys know I am also an affiliate of Necepso, so you want a good discount on this awesome, cutting-edge new astrology program. The link for the affiliate discount is in the comment section or the description of the video.
You can check out some of the talks that I did with the Necepso team under the live stream tab from some of the recent lives we did with them. They did a tutorial for beginners and a deep dive into Necepso and what they're trying to do to be the leaders of the conversation about emerging technology and astrology software.
So anyway, here we are, though, on Wednesday, May 20, and we can see that the sun is just about to conjoin Uranus. You're really going to start feeling it tomorrow, that's Thursday, May 21st, and then the actual conjunction occurring Friday, May 22nd.
What I want to do today is run through all 12 whole sign horoscopes, and I've got a format that I used that I think captures some of the different elements of the sun Uranus dynamic. We're going to look at the impulse, because the sun and Uranus together coming together is like suddenly getting charged or plugged into an electrical outlet.
There is a current of creative energy that comes through, and often with it an impulse to do something, to become something, to intend towards something. Ambition spikes when these two planets get together, but how and why? That'll be one side of the horoscopes that we look at.
The next is the revolution. The revolution means to turn, so how does this represent a turning point? What kind of turning point? What kind of revolutionary disruption in the plot line might occur? And finally, the risk, the potential here for a kind of Promethean rebellious transgressive impulse is also there.
What kind of risk are we taking, or what kind of risk do we run? Either way, we're going to look at these three things: the impulse, the revolution, and the risk for all 12 signs. This is a fun way of doing it that I hope you'll enjoy.
Listen to this for your sun or rising sign - it matters not. You can approach it either way. I always recommend your rising sign, because that'll correspond with the ancient Hellenistic version of your birth chart, which is in whole sign. All right, let's talk about this conjunction.
By the way, if you missed yesterday's episode, we did an archetypal deep dive on the sun-Uranus combination in Gemini, and why this might be especially potent, given that it's the first sun-Uranus conjunction of the Uranus and Gemini era. We sort of did the same thing last week with Mercury, when Mercury went across.
Now we have all three planets together, and really starting to see this part of our charts come alive and awake. It is sort of the official doorbell ringing, God entering the house. The greeting party is definitely happening now.
So, with that in mind, if you missed yesterday's content, you could pair it with today's and get a really nice, well-rounded take on the transit, and now the horoscope. Okay, I'm going to put this up, so you can see the impulse, the revolution, the risk for all 12 signs, starting with Aries, which has us looking at the sun-Uranus combination in the third house.
What is the impulse? To speak differently, to think independently, to experiment, perhaps with language and learning, or things like writing and media, siblings, or local community life, siblings, or peers. You could say the impulse has to do with how you relate to them, what you're saying to them, what kinds of things you're doing with them, those types of people.
A restless desire to say something that has not been said, the impulse to speak something rather loudly, or to open your mind and open your mouth. The revolution here is maybe a disruption of habitual ways of thinking or habitual social dynamics that want to change somehow.
New forms of communication or thinking or learning or teaching or technology may be awakening and creating a pivot point in the plot line. The risk would be things like scattering your energy, reactivity mentally or verbally, a kind of intellectual pride or arrogance, maybe burning bridges through impulsive speech or communication with peers or siblings, something like that.
The desire for freedom at all costs can actually destabilize relationships and make you look like your ego is out of control. So watch for those things, Aries. Those are my impulse, revolution, and risk for you. Let's go forward to Taurus.
For Taurus rising, we find these planets conjuncting in the sun-Uranus conjunction in your second house. The impulse here would be to liberate oneself materially or financially, or perhaps vocationally, as things like career are tied to things like money. A sudden desire to redefine worth, value, income, or ownership over material assets, possessions, or resources.
That's the impulse. The revolution, the twist or turn in the plot line, would be unconventional forms of money or earning or trading or monetizing something, a complete reorganization of the relationship between something like material security and intellectual or material freedom.
So there's a lot happening here around the basic material security in life, and then what's more, working your way up from security into things like enjoyment, pleasure, luxury, wealth, etc. The risk would be financial volatility, reckless spending, or unstable material priorities, let's call it, and confusing things that are sparkly and very temporary for things that have genuine lasting value.
It also could be that while you're being liberated from some old systems around money or material assets or resources, initially things feel destabilized, even though things might even be heading in a good direction. So watch for these things if you're a Taurus. Now, for Geminis, we're taking this in your first house.
It's very personal for Geminis with Uranus in your first. The impulse is to reinvent yourself, your identity, your personality, or even your physical appearance, which can also tie into things like wanting to recreate yourself in other areas of life, because this is so personal.
The personal reinvention can carry over to things like relationships or vocation. Either way, we're talking about this profound urge toward authenticity, self-authorship, selfhood. The revolution, the twist or turn in the plot line, might be that you're awakening to a totally new destiny path through some radical act of self-discovery.
The old self is fracturing, so that a life path more aligned with how you're individuating can take place, and this may happen in ways that are very surprising and sudden, and shift things for you very quickly. The risk would be alienating other people through an excessive emphasis on self or independence or freedom.
It can become a little self-centered, potentially you could get a little overstimulated, become too impulsive or rebellious. The desire to be unique at all costs may become sort of performative and obnoxious to other people, so you have to maybe be careful of some of those risks. All right, moving along to Cancer.
We put the sun-Uranus dynamic, along with Mercury, present there in the 12th house. The impulse here would be to break free from invisible, let's call it ancestral, karmic, psychological, or spiritual unconsciousness, or conditioning. So sudden awakenings that come through things like dreams, or time in solitude, or time spent in meditation, or retreat, encounters with the unconscious.
There's an impulse to contact that unconscious space, and to be liberated from the contact, or through the contact. The revolution here, the unexpected plot twist, may happen as you are very suddenly or unexpectedly liberated from old grief or hidden fears or some form of stagnation, so that very quickly something can happen to free you up inside from things that were holding you back or creating disease or undermining you.
A dissolving of outdated inner narratives can happen very quickly when something awakens within in a way that's not expected and kind of suddenly turns the light on in a darker place. The risk here to me would be psychic overwhelm, you know, anxiety, losing your sense of groundedness. Spiritual awakening for some people, even if it is a spiritual awakening, can still be sort of dissociating in the 12th house. So the risk is losing your groundedness somehow. All right, let's move on.
We're going to put Leo on the ascendant. This places Gemini, the sun-Uranus conjunction, into the 11th house. So the impulse would be to connect with new friends, or communities, or maybe audiences, or collective visions, or dreams that are social, professional, and probably collective in some way.
The impulse here is to seek maybe freedom through different kinds of social experiences or networks or groups. The revolution would be sudden radical shifts in alliances or social identity or political ideals or religious or spiritual affiliations. New friendships or connections socially or professionally can awaken latent dimensions of you that suddenly flip the script in some way.
The risk here would be instability in friendships, maybe ideological, mental, or intellectual extremism, or maybe prioritizing collective excitement over real intimacy. Things that sparkle but fade fast, you have to be careful of, and things that are exciting but in the future can be intoxicating to a point of perhaps being almost like an illusion. All right, so those are some of the risks to watch for for Leos.
Let's go to Virgos. We place this conjunction into your 10th house. The impulse here in your 10th house is to be very innovative, creative, original with respect to your profession, to perhaps challenge authority structures, or to radically redefine success or vocation itself, or for the workplace environment to shift. The impulse to create changes in the workplace environments.
Now the revolution would be sudden, unexpected plot twists that disrupt your career path, or if you're in a leadership role or some kind of public space, that the public space you're in, the company you work for, the role you play could get flipped suddenly. You may become more important within your work or your visible public role because of new creative ideas or unconventional methods or approaches that you are taking.
The risk here would be acute conflict with authority, abrupt professional departures or severings, instability with your reputation, or maybe burnout from just a lot of change that's happening. Also the conflict here is to emphasize freedom above responsibility to the extent that you lose some grounding somehow. All right, go forward to Libras.
So for Libras, the sun-Uranus conjunction takes place in your ninth house. So the impulse here is to awaken the higher mind philosophically, spiritually, intellectually, through education or teachers or teaching, or even to seek to expand your horizons, to seek out new experiences in other parts of the world.
The revolution would be to be liberated from old or outworn belief systems or rigid thinking or limiting paradigms. Intellectual and spiritual experimentation can occur not really because you're choosing to do so, but because things happen that suddenly completely shift your way of thinking. The risk here would be spiritual arrogance, or intellectual arrogance, or just being a contrarian.
A kind of dogmatic skeptic or contrarian can destabilize the presence and need that we all have for meaning by sort of being so defiant and rebellious that you're unable to stay grounded in some way. You run the risk of losing your footing morally, spiritually, and philosophically by emphasizing freedom intellectually at all costs.
Very few people will find that there is no compass guiding them philosophically or spiritually. These planets are so keen on possibilities, curiosity, playfulness with ideas, which is great, but the risk would be to perpetually search without having any ground to stand on; meaning becomes sort of unstable. All right, let's go forward to Scorpios.
We place this Uranus sun-Uranus conjunction in the eighth house. So the impulse here is to understand the hidden or inner workings around things like intimacy and sexuality, and shared karmic dynamics. It's about wanting to get free of bondage, or of forms of bondage that exist in your life, and the impulse to be free at all costs, and to detach or release forms of obligation or debt or indebtedness that keep you feeling stuck.
There's a really powerful desire to get out of contracts that bind. Paying off debts could come with this. The revolution is the radical transformation that can come through when we are forced to suddenly let go of attachments or debts or entanglements or any kind of psychological fixation that we suddenly are liberated from, because an event occurs that forces us to let go.
The risk here would be about upheaval. The risk here is about the upheaval that comes when soul contracts have to change and attachments have to be let go of, or healthier attachments formed and unhealthy ones let go of. All of that can be disturbing and can create a lot of upheaval. All right, let's go forward to Sagittarius.
For Sagittarius, we take the sun-Uranus conjunction and we now have it in the seventh house of relationship. So the impulse is to seek things like freedom and authenticity, playfulness, spontaneity within relationships or partnerships, or intimacy, or sexuality. The revolution might be that there are unconventional partners or surprising encounters with other people, or sudden beginnings or endings in relationships, and events in relationships that radically and quickly shift your perspective and create revolution.
The risk in this house is definitely going to be instability in commitments or partnerships, you know, or attracting erratic partners or destabilizing energy in relationships, and perhaps sacrificing some form of depth or commitment for excitement and autonomy, although obviously this would be very helpful if you need to get out of something that you're stuck in as well. All right, Capricorn rising.
Sun-Uranus conjoins in the sixth house. So the impulse here is to feel freer, happier, healthier within the daily activities of work, labor, sacrifice, etc. If this house is chop wood, carry water, then this energy says, well, let's find a way to do it that's easier, freer, lighter, that lightens the load.
We're talking about liberation or revolution that frees you from conflicts and drudgery and frustrations and obstacles associated with the daily work of life. The revolution is the disruption of habits, patterns, behaviors that are inefficient, that tax, that overwhelm, that exhaust, that frustrate.
Here we're finding the potential that a revolution occurs that somehow makes the work of life a bit easier, or creates a breakthrough around them that could also have to do with health and the upkeep of daily work on our bodies. The risk, of course, is nervous exhaustion, chaos in the daily work, burnout, workplace instability, or feeling like you are so restless and so anti-commitment and anti-work that you're creating problems for yourself because you can't settle in and commit yourself to the hard work of life.
In other words, there could be some avoidance here of basic sacrifice that's required in life, trying to skirt around it somehow. All right, Aquarius rising. We place this into the fifth house.
The impulse here is to create freely, to experiment in artistic ways, maybe new mediums, or to experiment and play romantically, intellectually. There's a desire to rediscover or awaken more joy and inspiration. So that's the impulse - creative, experimental, romantic - the desire for stimulation that connects to your heart and soul, and your creativity, and romance, and fulfillment on an emotional plane.
The revolution is that there could be sudden things that serve to awaken your creativity, sudden pregnancies, and the creation of new life. There could also be a theme of creative originality that arrives through chance or fortune that suddenly serves to spark the need for more self-expression in you, and this could happen through things that are completely out of your control that suddenly deliver a creative lightning strike.
The risk would be the potential for a kind of impulsivity. This house, as much as it's connected to joy, creativity, inspiration, romance, is also prone to overdoing things. Impulsiveness and instability on the level of desire or creativity is why this house can be associated with things like gambling or even drug addiction.
Sometimes a lot of people don't know about that, but the hunger for inspiration can override responsibility, and that can also lead to things like affairs, like marital affairs. So Aquarius has got to be really careful of the exuberance taking over the edge. Finally, Pisces.
We place this sun-Uranus dynamic in the fourth house of home and family. The impulse is to liberate yourself from the inherited patterns of the past, from family conditioning, maybe ancestral burdens that date back quite a ways, or limiting concepts of home and belonging or living environment. The impulse is to liberate yourself from them.
The revolution may be that things happen outside of your control that create sudden changes around home, family, family structures, living situations, or your inner emotional foundation. The disruption there can serve to awaken, but it can be a little destabilizing, which is why the risk will be rootlessness or domestic instability or living environment instability, emotional fragmentation, sudden disruptions in home and family karma that can alienate or estrange.
So I think the revolution is at the roots, if you're a Pisces. Okay, that's it for today. We've gone through some horoscopes, and hopefully given you some fun ways of thinking about the impulse, the revolution, the risk of a sun-Uranus conjunction, given its place in your chart.
Next, I'm going to tell you about the year one program. This program starts again in late June. It is an absolutely fantastic program for studying astrology. We have a really amazing curriculum and staff and structure and support system for people who want this to go two or three levels deeper for yourself.
For having this as a tool for the rest of your life, really being able to be your own astrologer. And then for some who will actually practice professionally, we're obviously developing an arc of three years of curriculum around natal astrology here to help you go to that level. So, anyway, check it out next.
Need-based tuition is available, early birds there, take advantage of that. Hope to see you in class soon. Bye.
