Hey everyone. This is Adam Elenbaas from Nightlight Astrology [https://nightlightastrology.com/].
Today we're going to take a look at Uranus and Neptune making a sextile to one another. This month of June, we're going to talk about this archetypal combination and what the two planets bring when they get together in exact aspects, even as they apply mutually together over long, long periods of time, which they've actually been doing for quite some time now.
But more specifically, I want to talk about what we can expect in our birth charts as two whole areas of our chart come together through these archetypes constructively connecting in a sextile this June. So we'll talk about it archetypally, we'll do some horoscopes, just brief ways of helping you almost like visualize what areas of your life this very fascinating archetypal dynamic is lighting up right now.
So that's our agenda for today. Before we get into it, as always, remember to like and subscribe, share your comments, your reflections, whatever thoughts you have, whatever stories you have to share. It's really interesting to hear from all of you. If you appreciate the way we do things on Nightlight here on the channel, you can give us that thumbs up and subscribe.
It really does help us. Transcripts of any of these daily talks are found on the website, that's Nightlight astrology.com. You guys know I'm promoting my new book, so check it out. Go to the shop page, click on my books. The Oracle Speaks is available. You can buy it on the website.
It's also available on Barnes and Noble and Amazon. Buy it from the website, it helps us a little bit more when you get it direct from our press, but either way, I can't wait to hear what you think about it. If you think to do it, take a picture of yourself reading it somewhere, tag us on a story on Instagram, I'm Nightlight Astrology there.
And also tell me in the comment section what story, what chapters really stand out. It's a collection of stories about the way that the oracle weaves its way into our life, often prior to knowing anything about astrology, and then all of a sudden it's like finding our way home. We go, oh my god, now I have a language for this spirit that has been speaking to me through the universe.
And for a lot of us, that's how it works, right? There's a lot of really amazing stories about how astrology comes to be a part of our life. So that's what this book is about. I hope you'll enjoy it. Go up to the courses page. First year course starts at the end of June.
Early bird sale goes to June 14. Do you have just a little bit of time left to save? The early bird rate gives you significant savings on the cost of the course. There's also need-based tuition. If you need a little help at the end of today's content, I'll tell you more about the course, everything it includes.
How you can use the need-based tuition or the early bird sale, and everything that you need to know about what the program is like, so stick around to hear more about that. And last but not least, community quiet every day at Nightlight. There's free meditation if you want to join us for a spiritual practice.
Marrying your study of astrology to a spiritual practice is, to me, incredibly important, because this is meant to be a spiritual practice that helps us evolve and grow the light of our consciousness. I don't know how we do that unless we have some community spaces for ritualizing what we're doing, and that's what this is all about.
So, I hope you'll check it out. Come join us sometime. It's been great to get to know some of you, have been really, really treasuring our daily time together. All right, let's put Niche episode. You guys know Nechepso, the new software program, Nightlight is powered by Nechepso.
So, we have the Nechepso software program here on the screen. You can find the discount code to be I'm an affiliate, so you get a perpetual discount on your monthly or annual subscription when you pick up the chips, so the guys will be back this summer to tell you more about it.
Here on the screen, you can see we've got Uranus and Neptune in a sextile to one another. Now that sextile, I have it pretty much exact to about July 15. Actually, let me.. yeah, so the two planets are between July 14 and July 15, the two planets are in a sextile with one another.
They will move on to the exact same degree for the first time, right around July 7. So this month of June, we are rapidly approaching their sextile, and as of the early, you know, beginning of June, as we're listening to this, the planets are just a couple of degrees apart right now, and that means they're already well within the orb of this connection.
So, what I want to do today, or provide you with some horoscopes, and give you a feel for what areas of life are coming together through their connection. Let's see here.. oops, let me get them onto the exact same space. Mm. We'll get it, we'll get it set up here. Give me just a second.
All right, so before I do that, though, I want to talk about their connection archetypally, and just kind of talk about why the two planets paired together are a really, I think, a fascinating planetary pair. They could, on one level, if you learn about the outer planets, seem like opposites, right? You have Uranus as tending toward individualization and awakening, revolution, rebellion, disruption.
This is not the status quo. This disrupts the status quo. This is not bondage and commitment, either one. It tends to be more liberating, freeing, separating. Uranus is on the surface a planet that does not seem like Neptune, you know, where Neptune dissolves things or unifies things. It's like oceanic, and tends to spiritualize.
It privileges things like imagination, and romance, and subtlety, and otherworldliness, and emotionality, and watery things. When the two harmonize, however, there are experiences produced where transcendence and the Neptunian quality and the Uranian quality of breakthrough can come together simultaneously. The invisible can be suddenly real, disruptive, but revolutionary.
Inspiration, romance, idealism, yearning, all of the imaginal uplifting qualities of Neptune can become suddenly revolutionary, and the inspiration spiritually can make quick, sudden, fast, liberating changes in our lives. This is why the Uranus Neptune signature, especially when it's positively configured, tends to be associated with very sudden moments of spiritual awakening or visionary creative movements.
Movements that come through very quickly and are very inspired and passionate, where art and technology, vision, creativity, and the inventiveness of Uranus come together in a fusion state. Uranus loves technology because Uranus loves the idea of progress and breaking from the status quo and progressing the storyline and moving into the future.
It's not, I guess, that Uranus loves technology as much as people inspired by Uranus often move in the revolution moves along the lines of outdated things in the past and new progressive things in the future, and that's sort of the story of a lot of the story of technology falls along that archetypal line.
But there's also, you know, the utopian imagination. If Uranus is the French and American revolutions, you marry that to something like Neptune, and you have this kind of freedom as utopia, liberation, and peak states of transcendence. It's a kind of mystical radicalism, you could say, and there are going to be reality structures that dissolve.
At the same time that rapid inventive breakthrough energies are establishing themselves, so the revelation of Neptune, the kind of otherworldly inspired visionary states, are often about invisible realities, inspired states, visionary states, dreams, hopes, longings, but Uranus will illuminate them and potentially make them more perceptible and vivid and can accelerate their appearance.
Because Uranus is much more tangible than Neptune and likes to turn things into practical, you know, technologies or forms that can be used to advance a storyline, so the mystical and otherworldly can become sort of abruptly revolutionary. But when they're sextiling and harmonizing, this tends to coincide with things like rapid psychic openings, or synchronicities.
Spiritual downloads, or awakenings that can inspire and quickly open possibilities and create creative breakthroughs. So this is why people tend to love their positive harmonious combinations. There's spiritual liberation, like when bondage falls out of your life psychically. You ever had an insight or an aha moment, and you just go, if I implement what I've just understood, I'm going to be free from bondage that lived in my mind.
It's mental awakening and spiritual awakening, the liberation from rigid belief systems or ways of seeing reality that are suddenly no longer problematic. I wrote down this is like the yoga studio meets psychedelic therapy lab, and I put those two together because obviously both have played a role in my life.
But the yoga studio is very Neptunian, you know. Think of your yoga nidra, or a guided meditation, being on your yoga mat, getting into the body, moving the breath, softening the heart, that kind of work, whether you do it there or through dance or some other kind of work, cacao ceremonies.
If you've ever been to one of those before, I met someone studying a cacao tradition of some kind recently, and you know these technologies can be very ancient. They don't necessarily have to be modern, so a lot of the psychedelic lab archetype that I'm pointing to, in combination with the yoga studio archetype, those feel modern to us in our conventions.
In our culture in the West, yoga is ancient, so are psychedelic plant medicines. So, the thing that's interesting is the technologies don't necessarily have to look like the future in a literal sense, but they can present you with a new future that you never considered possible, even if that means tapping into breakthrough spiritual or mystical technologies that are very old.
The other thing is just this combination tends to be very artistic. Neptune is imaginative, Uranus is innovative. Put them together, you get imaginative innovation. Those combinations of Uranus and Neptune are present in things like surrealism, and I say surrealism just because it's one of those movements that is a breakthrough in art history, so to speak, but is also very Neptunian.
Experimental film, indie rock, you know, the kinds of artistic cultural innovations that come when these two are together represent things that we need, but they also represent innovations, or things we didn't know we need until we experienced it. I would say, for example, a great kind of Neptune-Uranus dynamic is like ET culturally.
Where we all needed to fall in love with, you know, or like Hail Mary, the Hail Mary project that recently came out, while these two planets are configured to each other, obviously. Okay, so what else? Neptune has more of a relationship with the zeitgeist, the kind of collective oceanic space, and Uranus is associated with revolutions and sudden shifts in collective thinking.
Especially in the sign of Gemini, so you can think about mass collective movements taking place now slowly, and over a period of time, that could be spiritual, technological. It's like the human nervous system and imagination are being all activated simultaneously by something new, and it can really feel like reality is changing.
Reality is always changing, but sometimes there are these moments where we really feel and sense that it's changing collectively, and that's probably something we're going to notice over the summer, given that we also have Uranus and Pluto trining one another. I wrote a little bit about technological mysticism, psychedelic consciousness, I think I've already said enough about that.
Let's see. Yeah, awakening and imagination, dissolution of rigid structures with more of a hopeful, experimental, imaginative quality, counter-cultural things spiritually and artistically. Yeah, so I think that's probably, we'll just leave it at that. You can hopefully feel just by my going through it how the revolutionary and sort of mystical and otherworldly can come together in ways that are pretty exciting.
And that's why, again, especially with the sextile, people tend to get quite excited about this transit in particular. Okay, so they're coming together in July. Let's give you some hints as to where you might see this in your birth chart, because I think that part is fascinating, and probably I'm sure where a lot of people are immediately curious.
It's like, where might I expect to see this? All right, so let me get Epic Pen out. What is Epic Pen doing? Okay, it's working. No sass, Neptune and Uranus are connected. Here's the sextile, so you're going to see that they're in houses that are sextile to one another. I'm just going to riff here and play off from this for all 12 signs.
Listen to this for your sun or your rising, either way, if you're an Aries sun or rising, you've got Neptune and Uranus in the first and third, that's dharma and karma. It really has to do with your subjective mind center, your ego center, your core sense of identity of what makes you you, but also the need to be a constant experiment.
We're all identities in motion, we're all characters in development, like characters develop in a story. For Aries, right now, I think a lot of it has to do with what is the new self that you're imagining, and how does your mind need to change or evolve in order to accommodate the new self that's evolving.
So it's a lot of selfhood and the joy or pleasure of your own psychological makeup, and how those things are potentially opening to new exploration, new possibilities right now. Let's move this along to Taurus. If you're a Taurus, we have House 12 and Two. In the 12th house, we're looking at a Moksha space.
A place of liberation from unconscious material, and in the second house, we're looking at things like money, finances, assets, and resources. Could it be right now that through healthy exploration of unconscious material, you're reaching a space of breakthrough, of greater freedom, or change in how you earn or spend money, or how you utilize resources?
Are you finding different inventive, imaginative ways of marrying your spirituality to your financial or material reality? It seems like they're separate, but they're not. Sometimes subtle shifts in mind space or unconscious material, getting rid of things that aren't serving us, allow for an ease of resources to flow or come in or go out in a different way.
So that's what I would look at for Tauruses. For Geminis, we're looking at house 11 and one, that's a place of social belonging and social participation and dreams and aspirations as they exist for you out in the world, tied to things like your career, your more public destiny. Your first house, of course, is your most personal sense of character and identity.
So I wonder how you're changing as a person and how your social dynamics or the groups or social networks you belong to are evolving along similar lines. It's a time of reinventing yourself and finding new or different group or collective dimensions of participation. So, watch for that combination if you're a Gemini.
Now, if you're a Cancer, we're looking at house 10 and house 12, and so here we're looking at changes that are happening in your public role, your career, your public sense of calling or professional direction. But also these things are providing you with some really profound breakthroughs and insights into your own unconscious, into hidden dimensions of life that you haven't been able to see before.
Your career may therefore take on a very Neptunian and sort of 12th house, otherworldly sense of interest or purpose, and that may be a real breakthrough for you right now as you're seeing things in yourself that you've never seen before. It's allowing you a different kind of mystical or imaginative insight into how you want to do your work.
Your role in the world, your career. So, look for that 12th house, 10th house connection. Now, if you're a Leo, the harmonization of these two planets comes through your ninth and 11th houses. So, things like what is true, what is real, philosophy, spirituality, religion, the teachers or teachings that mean something to you in your life, that really direct and guide your vessel, so to speak.
They're going through a pretty mystical state of transformation and growth. The Neptune in Aries space there is asking you to imagine new trails and blaze new trails spiritually, philosophically, educationally, maybe even taking you to different places in the world. Well, in the meantime, Uranus in the 11th house is asking to synthesize that with meaningful changes in groups or affiliations or collectives or communities.
And also your long-term dreams and aspirations for your public world, so those two spaces are coming together right now really nicely. Now, if you're a Virgo, we're looking at house eight and 10, a Moksha house in the eighth house. That has to do with the bonds and entanglements and the give and take of relationships or social and emotional contracts that you have with other people, debts and obligations.
And I wonder what you need to be free from and what you feel ready to commit to at a deeper level. You're looking at a refinement of which bonds and soul contracts are the right ones, are the spiritually fulfilling ones, or the creatively fulfilling ones. And on the other hand, Uranus in the 10th house is asking you to imagine a totally different kind of career or vocation.
So for Virgos, re-imagining social and karmic contracts and revolutionizing social public or professional destiny is coming together in a pretty meaningful way now. For Libras, we look at houses seven and nine. With house seven and house nine, we're talking about the realm of relationship. Intimacy, love, romance, personal, interpersonal communion with other living souls, and the bliss and happiness that we derive from them.
And while that's opening to more mystical and spiritual levels of realization or experience, so too is a revolution of beliefs, or almost like a radicalization of your mind, and what you think or believe. You have to be careful that you're not drinking the Kool-Aid and forming bonds and relationships and beliefs symbiotically with things you don't want to be together with.
But on the other hand, it's a pretty unique opportunity to allow your relationships with other people to create some pretty powerful levels of change or redirection philosophically or intellectually. So the breakthrough spiritually and romantically kind of connecting there. All right, well, for Scorpios, we look at house six and eight, two difficult houses, but harmonizing across these houses can produce some really nice healing opportunities.
In the sixth house, we have the really deep look at things like sacrifice, illness and hardships and difficulties and hard work. Sacrifice are teachers in our lives, the things that we are bound to have to do that form things like hardships or obstacles or things we have to persevere through. Challenges we have to face and rise above.
None of them are easy, but they are our spiritual teachers, and the hardships you're facing right now are also liberating you from soul contracts, karmic contracts with other people that aren't healthy. So, there's a sense of making the right sacrifices, putting the right kind of effort into the right kind of things, and freeing yourself from obligations or soul contracts that aren't healthy.
All right, let's go on to Sagittarians. For Sagittarians, a nice sextile harmonizing between your fifth and your seventh houses. We're talking about creative fulfillment, mystical longing fuses together with questions about creative destiny and the need for a visionary and inspired kind of mystical and otherworldly sense of creative ambition or direction.
And we're tying that together really closely with the need for innovation, disruption, and revolution in things like love, sex, marriage, relationships. So spiritual creative changes are coinciding with the need for revolution and disruption of norms and habits in love and intimacy. Creative and relational harmonization of change and healing and transformation there.
All right, let's go forward to Capricorns. For Capricorns, we're looking at Neptune and Uranus in the fourth and the sixth houses. So, here we have the roots, home, family, and the private or inner sphere of our lives. And alongside that, the place of work, sacrifice, labor, sometimes sickness, things that we have to overcome and work toward with effort.
That effort is part of how we learn and grow. It's part of how we give to something bigger than ourselves. It's part of how we maintain humility and persistence toward goals that are worthwhile. And so these two houses are suggesting a combination of spiritual sacrifice work and healing around home and family. But there's an effort that's required.
A kind of labor to create positive change that we have to reach for right now if you're a Capricorn. Now if you're an Aquarius, we're looking at Neptune in the third house and Uranus in the fifth house. Here we're talking about the third house related to your mind and your subjective, emotional, psychological, and mental center.
And we're talking about the fifth house, a place of creative fulfillment. And so the two places right now harmonizing are suggesting creative, innovative solutions to mental and creative problems. Or put differently, your mind is on fire with new possibilities and visions and aspirations. There's also this sense that new creative solutions or ideas are possible.
New forms of self-fulfillment, joy, creative destiny, alongside a different kind of mental, emotional consciousness that could be both spiritual and creative at the same time, really coming through for you Aquarians. Now, for Pisceans out there, I want to say that first of all, Neptune in the second house is trying to address a spiritualization of things like money and resources.
How you use your time, how you value what you have, what you want, and why you want it materially. Neptune's trying to connect these topics to some pretty otherworldly, imaginative kinds of realities, subtle realities trying to educate you and enlighten you from within about these things. And Uranus in the fourth house is trying to create revolution and breakthroughs at your roots.
Around family karma, home and living environment. So we're talking about spaces of resources and home and family, and we're really looking at the possibility that there can be creative, spiritual, imaginative breakthroughs around both home, family, and money right now. Those two things are coming together to try to give you different resources and different kinds of inner space and freedom at the same time.
All right, so we've got through all 12 signs. I think this is a really interesting sextile that you know I wouldn't put it quite on the same level as the Uranus Pluto trine, for example, but to me it's right there as one of the more powerful outer planetary configurations of the year. It's a little ways off.
We're going to revisit this in July, but I figured it was a good one to look at today and prep for, because we don't have the busiest week of transit, so it felt like, yeah, let's take a look at this anyway. From my heart to yours, I hope that this blesses you.
I hope that you're having a good day. I hope that this is just any little insight or wisdom that came from this that you take that and leave anything that wasn't helpful. So you have the permission always to make this channel work for you. It's a real privilege to do this work.
I'm feeling really thankful for it today, especially after just coming back from Norwac recently, and really seeing what a special thing it is to share my life with people who love astrology. Anyway, all right, I'm getting all sentimental here. I'm about to cry. So, anyway, you guys have a great day.
Next, I'm going to tell you about the year one program. It's coming up June 28. Early bird ends on July, June 14, so take advantage of that. Pick up my book, don't forget that's out too. I'd love to hear from you guys about what stories you liked. All right, take it easy, everyone. Bye.
