What happens when the mind becomes the meeting place for fate and freedom?
In this video, Adam Elenbaas examines the square forming between Uranus in Gemini and the lunar nodes across Pisces and Virgo. This configuration acts as a karmic wedge—a point of pressure that asks you to reconcile two opposing forces: the desire for otherworldly redemption and the call to be present, useful, and grounded. You are not being torn apart. You are being integrated. The horoscopes for all twelve signs reveal exactly where this tension is asking for your attention and your willingness to change.

Hey everyone. This is Adam Elenbaas from Nightlight Astrology [https://nightlightastrology.com/].
Today we're going to take a look at the square that is finally forming between Uranus in Gemini and the nodes of the moon.
This famous skipped step aspect in evolutionary astrology is something we've looked at on the channel over the past couple of months from a few different perspectives.
Starting with my colleague and friend Ari Mosha Wolf, who I think did a great job covering this, and you could head back into the video archive the past few months and visit that if you wanted to as well.
We'll link that video in the description, but today we're going to look at this from the standpoint of Uranus in Gemini kind of forming a wedge karmically in an area of our birth charts right now that is calling for our attention.
So I'm going to be doing horoscopes for all 12 signs. These will be kind of lightning round horoscopes meant to help illustrate exactly what area is seeking that integration or that special attention right now.
We'll review the meaning of the square to the nodes in general, and then look at horoscopes. So that's our agenda for the day. Before we get into it, as always, remember to like and subscribe.
We've done some research to find out that actually, the majority of people who watch the channel regularly are not yet subscribed. It's free, you just click subscribe, and it helps us.
It helps if this is a space that helps you, then please consider helping us. We really appreciate it. Transcripts of any of these daily talks can be found on our website, that's Nightlight astrology.com.
Just a couple of brief promotions today. Of course, my book is out, so I'm in regular promotion mode now for my new book called The Oracle Speaks.
Go to the website, click on shop, go to my books, it's right there. You can pick it up on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, but also, if you buy it from our website, that goes straight to the press, it really helps us a lot, so we appreciate that.
If you're outside the US, the link is there as well. Anyway, this is a book that's really about the kinds of stories that I see time and time again that bring people to astrology.
It's like the universe talks to us and leads us on a path, and at some point we find that there's a language, a language for this spirit, and that's why the book is called The Oracle Speaks.
I really tried to capture the heart of the stories that lead us to astrology. So it's a really fun book. I really poured my heart into it, and I hope you'll enjoy it.
If you do, pick it up, tag us on a photo story on Instagram with the book. We love that. Tell me what stories or chapters you like in the comment section, give us a review on Amazon, that helps all that good stuff.
So, anyway, go over to the courses page. First year course starts at the end of June. Early bird sale is only available until June 14.
You have just a little bit of time until that deadline, June 14, to pick up the course, save a significant amount off the cost of the program.
Of course, we have need-based tuition as well. So, at the end of today's content, I'm going to tell you all about the program, everything that includes. You can learn more about it. Come study with us.
Year two in horary also starts in June, if you're already in the Nightlight universe, so to speak. Those courses also start this June, so check all of that good stuff out.
And don't forget every day at night, like community quiet under events page, free meditation seven days a week. Join us, it's a really good place to hang out with like-minded spiritual people.
And have some grounding and real support for your spiritual life. So, all right, on that note, let's put a CHESPO up on the screen. Nightlight is powered by NACEP, so we are in a Chespo program now in our school.
This is the official software program of Nightlight Astrology, and everything we do at Nightlight, we're so thankful for this partnership with them.
The affiliate code, if you want to save off this awesome astrology software, is in the link at the top of the comments, or in the description, saves you 20% off.
All right, so here we are coming into the weekend, and what I want to emphasize is that the nodes of the moon now depends on which form of measurement you use.
If you go to the Necepso settings, for example, you can determine exactly what style of nodal measurement you want to use, so I have true. I'm using the true nodes of the moon.
Now you could use the mean nodes of the moon as well. The mean nodal position is going to be slightly different, but the true node is where it's actually at all of the time.
Even though there are slight perturbations that appear to make the nodes go forward and backward a little bit, they're technically always retrograde, but anyway, slight variations.
If you use the true nodes of the moon measurement, and you go forward just one day to tomorrow, Friday, June 5, now we're officially all at two degrees.
The nodes of the moon have entered the second degree of Pisces and Virgo. Of course, Uranus is sitting at two degrees of Gemini, and so now the square is active by degree.
The name for degree, a Moira, apportionment of fate in the ancient Greek language. So the portions of fate that directly connect these degrees of the zodiac with the nodes and Uranus are now active and connected.
How long will this last? This specific configuration with the nodes will last until Uranus moves on to the third degree or the nodes move off the second degree.
That happens on the same day, around June 16 into the 17th. So we now have effectively about two weeks and change of the nodes of the moon squaring Uranus, or Uranus, I should say, squaring the nodes of the moon.
Now let's talk about this from an evolutionary perspective. It's not something I'm going to claim to know nearly as well as my brother Ari, who talked about it at length. So that's another good video. Again, we'll link that for you, so you can check it out.
But basically, if the nodes of the moon point toward the past and the future from the EA perspective, if the South Node is telling us about a reservoir of familiar experiences or wisdom or things that are relatively otherworldly, then the North Node of the moon is pointing us toward things that we don't know or that we desire that are relatively unfamiliar.
Now I think we always have to be careful, because in ancient astrology, especially Vedic astrology, where the theory of karma comes from, the North Node of the moon is going to be representative of desire that entangles us in future lifetimes.
If the ultimate goal is to get off the train, and I'll let you decide if it is or isn't, but if it is, then we have to be careful, because the North Node can present itself to us as one more thing that if I go and do and figure out, and if I get that particular desire satiated, then I'll be okay, which is ultimately an illusion. This is the baby perspective.
On the other hand, the South Node of the moon truly can be representative of Moksha. It's associated with Moksha, which means liberation, liberation from the material world.
There can be a kind of otherworldliness, and also a kind of illusory South Node of the moon is a bit like Neptune in modern astrology in that regard.
So the Vedic significations of the nodes of the moon are trickier, and let's just let that be, and let's try to think about Uranus squaring them as a point of karmic pressure between the two extremes.
Now I've done full treatments of this myself, and again Ari has already, but what I want to say very generally is that squares to the nodes present as third points of pressure.
That much I really agree with the evolutionary perspective on. When we have Uranus in Gemini squaring these nodes, the area of Gemini in our birth charts, where transiting Uranus is located right now, is going to present to us as a point of integration.
As a point of emphasis that helps balance the tension of these opposites. All squares work like that, so it's not a stretch to suggest all squares, in other words, that connect in a T square to another axis, are acting as potential integration places for the tension of opposites.
We have a Jupiter-Mercury opposition in Pisces and Virgo. What's the Jupiter-Mercury opposition about? Well, among other things, Jupiter and Mercury can speak to things like faith and the North Node in Pisces.
In other words, they can speak toward the desire toward united, redemptive, hopeful, uplifting, compassionate stories. It is the exaltation of Venus, feminine domicile of Jupiter.
So we are talking about an emotionally charged theme of redemption, of collective grief and healing, of surrender and compassion, of hope and of healing. These are qualities that are truly Piscean through and through.
Now the Virgo qualities, Mercury-ruled qualities, are no less compassionate, but they're a lot more feet on the ground. Interestingly, by the way, speaking of feet on the ground, one of the images of the Virgin Goddess associated with the constellation actually shows her feet hovering just above the ground.
As if to remind us that there's something that appears very earthly about this sign, but is actually sort of otherworldly. I think that's an important point.
Mercury ruling the sign speaks to the development of skill and ability that is important for being spiritual in the world. Mercury is a planet that can cross through worlds, one world and another, very mutable, a shape shifter.
So when you think of Mercury in Virgo, you think about navigating the earthly plane as a spiritual being, and all of the tensions that that creates within us.
For example, much of the sign of Virgo is concerned with purity. Well, what is purity? Purity is something like, how do you touch the ground and not get stained? How do you touch the mortal, human world of death and not feel poisoned by it? How do you be in this world but not of it?
The balance of those things for each of us is a Virgoan threshold. Much of the initiation experience of life that comes through grace, that comes through forgiveness.
The real healing adventure for many of us is reconciling ourselves to our bodies, to our human nature, to our mortal fleshly reality, and to the fall.
By the fall I mean the fall of light, the fall of the entrance of spirit into matter. That's an archetypal theme, not just about sin. It's about the fact that our spirits live in a mortal vessel that is temporary, and we have to reconcile ourselves to this world.
One of the ways that we do that is by learning how to be citizens of two places at once. For most Virgos, that's going to be found not only in balancing things like purity and impurity, worldly and spiritual qualities, which is the work of Hermes Mercury.
But it's also going to be about figuring out how you can be an effective servant of humankind. What does it mean to be an adult who has something of value to give this world?
What does it mean to be a spiritual being who is living a material life and negotiating those things and trying to be of use and of service to a world that is suffering?
So much of the world has forgotten its spiritual nature, or has fallen so deeply, become so deeply ensconced in material reality that it has forgotten who it is, that we're children of light, that we're angels playing in the stars.
When we forget that, we need people who help remind us. We need servants of the divine. So Virgo is the ultimate servant, the ultimate traveler incarnating in flesh, reconciling the tension of those opposites, and trying to be helpful and useful.
And also to reconcile ourselves to our own nature, to find forgiveness, to find what real purity means. Well, that's the Mercury side of it. And the Jupiter side of it, the Piscean side, is about that uplifting, otherworldly, romantic, and redemptive quality, the thing that really points us toward the stars.
If Virgo is about being here, then Pisces reminds us that we're not to be here for long, and we're to aim our sights on the sun. We're to aim our vision toward the top of the mountain.
This is why Pisces rises us out of the depths of winter toward the takeover of light, climbing up to the pole star at the summer solstice. So these two are in an interesting balancing act right now, as the nodes of the moon are across this axis.
Well, Gemini comes in, T squaring right from Gemini, and it says you have a light and a dark side. There are two sides to everything.
In Gemini, another sign of Hermes, we have to think about dualities, and we have to think about them really deeply. Gemini does not do well with simple binaries that are not constantly being played with, taken apart, and reconstituted.
Paradox is a good friend of Uranus in Gemini, and the purpose of Uranus in Gemini is to enlighten our minds, to have us understand intellectually, mentally, socially the presence of opposites.
Not as a curse to be done away with, but as a curious part of the language of the universe. So what Uranus in Gemini is doing, in a sense, is saying, look, part of how we make this trip home to the stars, part of how we enlighten up, part of how we also figure out how to exist in the world.
But it boils down to making peace with the mind and freeing up more space in the mind, so that we can see more of the full picture of who we are, why we're here, of what is real right now, that the light and dark of everything is here right now.
So these are some pretty epic things to be considering, but for each of us, the thing is that this will boil down to a place in our birth charts, a whole sign house where Uranus in Gemini is driving home the point.
Here is where you can break open more space. Here is where your mind can change, your paradigm can change. Here is where you can learn. Here is where you can become more educated.
Here is where you can have more insight into your nervous system. Here is where you can have more insight into the nature of truth. Here is where you can be surprised by things that you thought you knew that you really didn't.
Surprising truth, surprising ideas and insights. So Uranus is opening a portal for us right now to think about the karmic dichotomy of being in the world and aiming ourselves beyond it, that Virgo and Pisces presents.
And it's saying, here's a whole different way of holding that, and here's a different way of considering what it means to be spiritual, what it means to be in this world.
So I think that what's going to be useful for us right now is we're going to turn. Let me just get this set up. Sorry, I'm losing my train of thought. What's going to be useful for us to do right now is to look and say, okay, where is Uranus in Gemini?
So I want to do some just kind of quick hitting horoscopes on just specifically which whole sign house Uranus is occupying, and I'm going to use that as the focal point for us. So, let's get Aries up on the screen.
So, what I'm going to do is, I'm just going to say this is the point at which a real karmic revolution and breakthrough is occurring. By karmic, what do I mean? I mean the patterns of our life that are driving the evolutionary direction of our life.
The unfolding of our enlightenment, the curriculum that we're here to learn from the intelligent design of our life. The nodes of the moon are always really good places to look for that ongoing story and its unfoldment.
Well, Uranus, from its position right now, is saying right here this is the cutting edge of your evolution. It's this space, it's this topic.
So, let's consider that for the next couple of weeks, as these planets are meeting, you may experience that there are some rapid big openings that really change things and create more freedom and flexibility.
And create a kind of revolution that can help you think about the Virgo space. How do I be here and be of service? What does real purification look like and mean? How do I find forgiveness and grace?
On the other hand, Pisces, what is the vision and the greater mystical sense of truth that orients my life beyond this body and beyond this sphere of reality entirely?
Okay, so Uranus in Gemini is going to serve as the focal point, helping to break that axis open more. So, let's think about that for each sign.
If you're in Aries, it's the third house, it's your subjective ego center. In ancient astrology, it's the place of the moon, which is the kind of mind-body matrix.
So, we're thinking about the subjective center of your thoughts, your mind, your intellect, your ideas, your ego, and the sense of joy or happiness that you find as a living being who has a subjective ego center.
Surprise, surprise, there is a new ego installing itself. There's a new mind, there's a new way of thinking, and it's trying to break you open into new possibilities. So that's for Aries.
If you're a Taurus, it's in your second house, so we're talking about revolution of assets and resources, what you have available right now, and how you spend time, money, energy, resources.
How you allocate those things, how you use them, how you value them. There's something being broken open and really opened up around this place of resources, assets, finances, money.
The material sphere of things is changing, and it's seeking to give you more freedom, freedom mentally, freedom emotionally, freedom financially.
But the idea here is that the evolutionary story is going to shift dramatically because of a radical reorientation that's about to open and change things in this place of money, resources, material assets. So, watch for that if you're a Taurus.
Now, if you're a Gemini, the revolution will not be televised because it's happening in you. Because you're the ground of it, you're the ground of the revolution, you're the actual space where it's taking place.
The ground is your own identity, it's your own psychology, it's your own body, it's your own sense of who you are. New possibilities about who you are are opening up.
Those possibilities have to be opened up, so that recalibration of your sense of larger purpose, vision, or destiny, your sense of how to purify, how to forgive, and how to serve.
All of those things are opening up specifically because you're opening up in the most personal way possible. All right, let's go forward to Cancer.
If you're looking at this 12th house placement of Uranus in Gemini, then we're talking about an unconscious territory, places that you can't see, places that you've been blind to, places that are now seeking active integration, understanding, and vision.
When Uranus moves into the 12th, it's like discovering there's a whole secret room in your house. In fact, my wife's a Cancer rising, and she was talking about finding that there was a room that existed in the house, and that she'd never been in it before.
And I was like, that's Uranus moving into your 12th house. The idea here is that your sense of higher purpose, faith, vision directing your life, your sense of service, and your sense of how to purify and be helpful in the world.
Those things are being split open right now, because there are hidden dimensions of your psyche that you're starting to see and understand.
There are hidden dimensions of selfhood that are ready to be let go of, or that are ready to be integrated or incorporated. So it's all about that kind of obscure, blind, or unconscious place leading the way and creating more freedom.
And a real revolution for Leos. We're talking about the wedge being driven by Uranus into the 11th house. So friends, groups of people, social networks, the industry or field that you work in.
Maybe new fields or industries that you work in are going to open up, maybe new friends or social circles. Social revolution is happening, and it's driving the plot line forward.
You're revolutionizing exactly who and what you want to be bonded and committed to, who and what you feel are active, valid, helpful resources in your life.
Your shift of priorities is creating more space and more freedom for you to pursue different kinds of dreams and ambitions, and to meet different kinds of people, and to connect with different kinds of fields of social or communal reality.
So the revolution for Uranus is to create paradigmatic change around your professional or social ambitions and social or professional connections and networks.
You know, I remember when Uranus was going through my 11th house, the astrology world was opening up for me, the psychedelic spheres were opening up for me, Reality Sandwich was opening up for me, a web magazine about psychedelics.
I wrote for them. The revolution here is around a totally different kind of social and professional or creative, even religious, sense of community and direction or ambition.
So that's where the revolution is driving at change right now. All right, we go to Virgos. For Virgos, it's square in your creative house, or your professional house, but it's going to be very creative. We'll add that to it.
Because Uranus is in this house saying, I want a different kind of role. I want a different kind of leadership. I want a different work environment.
I want different or new or original thinking when it comes to my career, my skills, how I show up in the world, what kind of influence or voice I have in the world.
So questions about who you are and who you belong with, who you see yourself as, and who you're becoming, and maybe who you know, who you are close to.
Identity and relationships are the integration point for these two conversations in your first and seventh houses. What is happening in terms of Uranus in the 10th?
New interests are guiding change personally and relationally. New professional direction, or new sense of how or where you want to show up in the world.
What kinds of erratic, creative, original, or revolutionary impulses are you letting lead the story right now from that public or professional space? They could be subtle at first, but this is a nice inflection moment over the next few weeks.
Let's go ahead to Libra. So, Uranus here is taking place in the ninth house. What that means is that ideological and philosophical changes are happening right now.
You have to become really aware of what they are and why they're there. Are philosophical changes or ideological changes happening in ways that are healthy and conscious?
Or are they happening because you're getting sucked into ways of thinking that you're not being conscious enough about? That possibility is there because of the sixth and 12th house axis and the potential to not be thinking critically.
So the revolution comes when you open your mind and start thinking critically and start freeing up more space and becoming more broad-minded. This is an intellectual, spiritual, ideological kind of revolution.
It's asking you to look at the juxtaposition between light and dark in yourself and in the things you believe and the things you study, in the doctrines or dogmas that guide your life like a compass.
So a time for both intellectual and spiritual revolution right now, and that's the driving force of this T square. So that's for Libras.
All right, let's go to Scorpios now. If you're a Scorpio, you've got this in your eighth house. Yes, so the wedge is being formed from Uranus in the eighth, a place called Moksha.
A place that has to do with bondage and that has to do with liberation from bondage. Uranus in this house is asking you to get free of entanglements that are just toxic at this point.
They're just not healthy for you, or they're not conducive to a greater sense of freedom and happiness that you're looking for. So the number one thing with this wedge is to look and say, where are my emotions, or my finances, or my assets, or resources on any level entangled with people or things that are just putting me into more debt?
Bondage and entanglement that is weighing me down, making me sick, and not making me feel like I'm living a free life. The Uranus wedge here is saying, in order to be free creatively, in order to find your role of service in the world and in community.
You have to look at what bonds are bondage and what bonds are conducive to freedom. Keep the ones that are conducive to freedom, deepen them, prioritize them, and liberate yourself from those that are not.
All right, we go forward to Sagittarius, and we've got that wedge being formed from Uranus in the seventh house, the place of love and relationships.
So here the revolution is in terms of your intimate bonds and partnerships with other people. How do you relate? How do you connect? What do relationships provide you with in the way of growth?
In what way do they create stagnation or limit your growth? Reflection upon these things right now is crucial, because Uranus squaring these nodes says there's a greater, deeper inner spiritual well deep within you, connected to things like home and family.
There's also a story about your sense of belonging in the world and service in the world. Those two things are being driven right now by questions about freedom, liberation, and revolution in your interpersonal spaces and relationships.
So think about right now, what does the revolution require of me within relationship spaces, within interpersonal bonds and dynamics?
Where is there a force of evolutionary pressure saying, you know, evolve or you're going to get stuck, you're going to miss something crucial in this lifetime if you don't look carefully at that space of relationships?
Capricorn, so for Capricorns, Uranus is in the sixth. I love this, because the sixth is the place where bondage is just part of life. We all have to work, we all have to chop wood and carry water.
There is a daily element of grinding every day. I get up, I meditate, I sit, I prep these things, I deliver this content. Why? Because I believe that this is a spiritual service. Why? Because I have to earn a living.
Why? Because I have mouths to feed, my kids, and all of the things. But the fact that each of us have to work, we have to gather, or we have to hunt, or whatever.
30,000 years of human history, whatever it is, the sixth house is the reality that there is competition and danger and survival. It's a Mars-ruled house in ancient astrology, or it's a house in which Mars rejoices.
So that sense of revolution here from Uranus in the sixth is about how can you experience more freedom in the way you work and in what you sacrifice and work for or toward?
The lazy version of this would be like, what are quick ways I can get out of work? But the driving evolutionary question here is, what sacrifices and efforts in daily work are going to completely revolutionize my life, if I just pour my heart into it?
Let me give you a simple example. If someone picks up a guitar, I'm thinking of my guitar right there. If people pick up a guitar and they go, I love this.
Okay, well, if you want to experience a tremendous amount of creative freedom in your life, learn how to be free playing that guitar. But to learn how to be free playing that guitar, you've got to put a lot of effort in to feel truly free.
Like you're flying on an instrument requires a lot of time and effort and dedication, but the freedom begins through the effort, and the effort rewards you with the freedom.
That's a Uranus in the sixth house kind of motif that's just beckoning you right now to take that step, find ways of working smarter not harder, find ways of making the efforts and hard things in your life worth it.
All right, we go to Aquarius, and we see Uranus T squaring from the fifth, a place of creative dharma. Everyone participates, everyone is a creator.
Whether you're having kids in that literal sense of creation or you're having creative kids, you're writing books or making podcasts, or you're making love. Every one of us has a creative spark.
It is our dharma, it is our duty, in a sense, to put into the world because we are little aspects of the divine. The divine is helping orchestrate the illumination of all living beings of all things everywhere all at once.
Our contribution matters. You know what it's like when you're on, and you know what it's like when your light is down or dead. Right now, for Aquarians, the question is, what is the most liberating way to release creative energy?
What is the most exciting way? What is the revolution of self-identity and creativity? How can you let that go into the world? How can it free you from bonds and guilt and obligations?
How can it create more resources, how can it serve a larger vision for your life, and make you feel a little safer and more stable materially? Those are the kinds of things I'm looking at for Uranus in the fifth right now, for Aquarians.
All right, finally we have Pisces. Your T square is coming from Uranus in the fourth, the place of home and family. So here the revolution is at the roots.
If you take the time to revolutionize your living environment, family karma, healing the family past as much as you can within yourself. Obviously the freedom you're looking for in yourself, the evolution of the vision you have for your life.
And let's call it the work, the spiritual and karmic work of your relationships. That's the focus of the nodes, right in the first and the seventh. But Uranus here in the fourth is saying it's at the roots.
There's something inside of you, personal, private, emotional, a very secret or private sphere that is seeking more space, more liberation, more freedom, so that you can feel more playful and alive in yourself.
There are dualities that you have inside of you. Are you honoring them? Are you acknowledging both the light and dark sides of you that exist in places that maybe few people see?
Revolution at the roots might also mean moving, or it might mean relocating, or it might mean that things are happening in your family that are shaking things up, and maybe a little destabilizing.
But they're at the heart of an evolutionary shift right now, a karmic shift. So, think about home, family, roots, inner spaces, and inner foundations.
All right, that's what I've got. I hope this was useful for all of you out there, as always. That's the mission, just provide you with things that are interesting.
I hope that this is a blessing for you. I hope that some of the words helped in some way, that they spoke to you, that they reached across that abyss that we sometimes feel exists between ourselves and the rest of the world or the universe.
And it just touched your heart and said you're not alone, you're walking in a meaningful cosmos. And every step of our journey, we're guided, we're held, we're loved.
I hope you experience that when you watch this channel. That's the vision behind it. Everything on this channel is meant to give you useful information, help you learn astrology, and help you remember that there is a reason you're here and it's sacred and so are you.
So that's it for today. I hope you're having a good one. Check out, I'm going to tell you about year one next, if you want to come study with us, that's at the end of June. Early bird sale is through June 14. All right, take it easy, everyone. Bye bye.
