Venus Clearing Shadow and Eclipse Point — Horoscopes for All 12 Signs

Today we're going to take a look at Venus clearing her shadow, which means she is going back over the degree that she started her retrograde at in Aries, which also happens to be right around the same point of our recent solar eclipse.

So the next couple of days are actually really significant for the planet Venus. I'm going to look at horoscopes today very briefly, reminding you of where the Venus retrograde began, what topics you may see reactivated in ways that might surprise you.

And again, the reason for this is that when Venus goes back over that original degree where her station took place, and that degree also happens to be right at the point of a recent solar eclipse, a place that mercury also turned retrograde back in March. It makes for a really significant transit and one that could sneak up on you.

So I'll remind you of what whole sign house topics are being activated today, and we'll take a look at some general significations to watch for as well. So that is our goal for today.

All right, on that note, Let us now turn our attention to the real time clock, where we can take a look at the Venus dynamic.

So what I'm going to do briefly here is I am going to eliminate everything from our perspective, except for Venus, and we're going to go backward in time.

So here today, Tuesday May 13, we can see that Venus is about to cross into the ninth degree. That degree is significant for a few reasons, and we'll even extend it into the 10th degree, which takes us all the way till Friday morning before leaving.

So let's give this a transit timeline of Tuesday May 13, all the way through Friday, May 16, as a window within which anything we talk about today. You may notice now you may have noticed some of this a little bit prior to that timeline, maybe even a little bit after, but this would be the tightest time range that I'd feel most comfortable with.

Give it about a degree on either side. And the degrees matter here, because what I want to show you is why where Venus was at when she passed these degrees not too long ago.

So if we go back in time to Venus's retrograde. Grade. You'll notice that Venus turned retrograde here. So if we see Venus stationing February, 28 March, 1, turning retrograde. March, 1, second, third, right around that first couple of days of March, 2025 Venus's retrograde happens at about 10 degrees of Aries.

Now that retrograde has been something that we experienced for March all the way into April, because Venus stuck back into Pisces, stationed in turn direct about the middle of April, is around the 14th that you see in April, Venus turning direct again.

But what this means is that Venus's direct motion now has to carry it backward, or back forward, I should say, through degrees that she previously moved backward through during the retrograde.

This is something that will often be most noticeable when Venus gets really close to that station point, because it's as though the process that got started at that exact point is now reaching conclusion, or that things that maybe got delayed or set back are gaining momentum again, circumstantial reversals or changes, twists of plot and fate are somehow being ironed out.

I'll say more about that in a second. But so when we bring Venus back this week onto that ninth and 10th degree, it takes on a lot of significance, because now we're pushing into, I mean this, these are metaphors, right?

But we're pushing into new territory, with Venus moving beyond the phase of the degrees that she stopped and went through the retrograde in so hope that makes sense.

Most people probably know what I'm talking about, but if you're newer to astrology, it's important to look at planets going back through the degrees previously covered in a retrograde, and when they clear that, it really does bring a feeling of resolution or completion to a process.

So the other reason that I want to emphasize this as an important couple of degrees, let's go back when Venus first turned retrograde and was earlier on in the retrogradation.

What I want you to notice is that we had a solar eclipse. And now, actually, what I'll do is I'll put the nodes of the moon in so that you can see how closely configured the nodes were.

You get them within about 18 degrees of a new moon or a full moon, and you'll typically have a partial or more full Eclipse. So when we look at this down to the minute, right, let's go down to the minute to when the sun conjoins the moon, or the moon conjoins the sun, I should say, and they form a solar eclipse.

And this was March 29 so that solar eclipse, as you can see right here, took place at nine degrees zero, minutes of Aries. The reason that that is significant is because, as we just noticed, Venus turned retrograde not too long before this just one degree off.

Not only that, but Mercury also will have recently turned if I, if I put in mercury here, let me just show you this, because it's kind of cool, too. Look at Mercury here, and if we bring Mercury back to its station retrograde.

Let's go back days. Mercury's retrograde took place at the ninth degree of Aries. Venus's retrograde took place at the 10th degree of Aries, and then the solar eclipse takes place at the ninth degree of Aries.

So going back over those those degrees, they become very sensitive, very charged points. They are charged with exceptional power compared to what we might think of as a normally transiting Venus over random degrees in a sign, right there's no major aspects happening for Venus right now.

There's nothing you know that on the surface looks very spectacular about what Venus is doing. However, Venus, going back over that degree where she stationed a degree, little less than a degree off from a solar eclipse point and a Mercury station point all in the same space in the past couple of months, becomes a lot more significant.

So on that note, I have three things that I want everyone to watch for and consider right now. This would be applicable regardless of what your horoscope is saying, specifically, for example, about the whole sign house of Aries, which we'll look at in a minute and just do some quick like Flash horoscope reminders of what house.

Topic you should be considering right now. But the three things to watch for for everybody, number one is the completion of some kind of revision for Venus.

So when we look at the house topics, we start thinking, okay, a process of revision has been taking place in this particular area of life. That process for Venus may involve things like relationships, love, sexuality, intimacy, style, beauty, appearance, art, creativity.

So anything that sort of naturally belongs to Venus that has been going through a process of transformation, or what we might call revision. We look at something, we go that's not quite the way I want it, or that's not quite what I value, or that's not exactly what I'm attracted to any longer.

That's not exactly this style doesn't match my soul or something like that. This doesn't bring me pleasure anymore. This relationship needs to shift somehow. These are the things that Venus typically brings up.

Venus can represent things like friends, siblings, lovers, typically sisters as siblings. But you know any, any, anyone that you have a kind of sisterly or friendly connection with, where there's an aura of harmony and so forth, so the completion of some kind of revision to something Venusian.

I know that sounds a little bit vague, but if you survey your life, especially once we look at horoscopes and remind us of the topics of the houses, you're going to find that the next couple of days could really bring forth a feeling of something naturally, like a little bow that's being put around a process that's been going on since early March.

Two would be a resolution within relationships. For most people, one of the one of, what I should say is one of the most common significations of a Venus retrograde.

For many people, like many people experience this, when Venus goes retrograde, your relationships change, or a relationship changes, or a person within a relationship changes, and of course, that has a bearing or an impact on you personally.

Even if the change is more focused on the other person, whatever the case may be, we're also reaching a point where we could see a process completing itself, reaching a point of resolution, and kind of like chef's kiss like this was this.

This was something that is now done, and you could see that within the realm of relationships, that's the that's the main idea. So watch for resolution or or some process completing itself within specific relationships or within your social life in general, and then number three would be ready at last to begin, resume or continue.

I say this because one of the most common things that all Retrogrades bring is a process of temporary setbacks, delays, obstacles. It's as though in the midst of a process that was moving forward, suddenly you're being asked to go backward and delay gratification.

In the case of Venus, or you were getting ready to start something. Especially given remember that there was a big solar eclipse here in Aries, but happening during the midst of several Retrogrades, there might have been a Start Stop, kind of experience where you have felt ready for something, but there's been other processes to complete, or things that needed your attention before you could focus on moving forward in a way that you've maybe been really excited for.

So any way in which a process of delay or slowing down, or being asked to finish other things, or anything that's diverted your attention or focus, or interests or ambitions now is gaining traction, or is ready to begin, or is ready to resume?

No more delays, or someone pressed the pause button now it's let's press play again. So think about it that way.

Let's review the completion of any kind of Venusian revision. Think broadly about that, a resolution of some kind within relationships, the process of change, completing itself in relationships, or your social life, or anything that has been set back, delayed, paused, held back from starting, is now ready to resume or continue, or even just the feeling that momentum in a forward direction is returning somehow, those would be the things to watch for.

And again, you could watch for these things given the timeline of this week, today, tomorrow, as the week goes on, let me share my screen again, and just for good measure, let's repeat the timeline.

So let's bring things up here to Tuesday the 13th. As you're listening to this today, Venus will cross that ninth and 10th degree Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, the 13. 18th, 14th, 15th, 16th is really the good timeline to consider here.

You will really notice by Friday that Venus has moved through those critical degrees. Anytime a planet moves across the degree of a recent Eclipse, it's almost always impactful.

You will excuse me, you will notice that some of the significations of the eclipse are brought forth or carried carried forward in a next step.

So what I'd like to do now is just run quickly through the whole sign houses to remind you of what topics could be at play this week. I think this is always valuable to do because it starts getting you in the habit of remembering house topics.

I recommend listening for your rising sign right now, because that Hellenistic astrologers like myself, we use whole sign houses because it was the basic philosophical and conceptual framework of the earliest astrologers.

And when we use whole sign houses, it is in the birth chart, then your horoscopes, which are always done in whole sign houses will correspond directly to the transits happening in your birth chart when you use your rising sign.

So for that reason, as a Hellenistic astrologer, I always recommend using your rising sign. But if you listen to your sun sign regularly, feel free to listen to that.

Um, by the way, everyone who listens to me say this every single time should get a medal. You have to listen to me say the exact same thing.

Now, with Venus crossing through this critical point for Aries rising, we're talking about a process, reaching a point of resolution, completion within the house of self and identity, body health.

But it is so much about what in what ways you are evolving, personally, physically, as an individual who is here to explore who you are?

For Tauruses, we're talking about a process of looking at shadows and things that have been unconscious or that maybe have been a little bit more inaccessible to you in the 12th house, the blind spot, the unconscious spot, dreams a process of maybe dealing with unconscious or shadow dimensions of your life around things like relationships, beauty, love, sex, values, health, appearance, Things like that.

Let's go forward to geminize for Geminis, we're looking at this process resolving itself in the 11th house of friends, allies, communities, groups, organizations.

Who are the people that are most important to you in terms of shared ambitions or aspirations in life? Who do you share similar goals and dreams for the future with who are the best people to ally with?

These are the kinds of things that have been a focus for Geminis. We go forward to cancers, and we see Venus in the 10th house of career.

So for cancers, what has the shift been like for you in terms of what you're bringing forth into the world of your work. How has the goddess been directing the evolution of your career, your professional work, or how you show up in the public sphere in general?

For Leos, we're talking about a process that has been about faith, learning, religion, spirituality, education, teachers and teaching, maybe travel abroad, and the approach to life that we all take based on the evolving nature of our beliefs.

For Virgos, we're looking at the eighth house, that place of soul contracts, the development of meaningful, healthy bonds and attachments with other people that serve our evolution, that serve us spiritually in evolving, as well as those attachments we form that are unhealthy, that need to be relinquished or let go of the various karmic penalties that come up in life through our karmic relationships, the give and take of what We're here to learn and what we teach each other, which sometimes is not easy in the eighth house, but overall, that process is about how we serve each other and how we work meaningfully in relationships with each other, to help each other grow to be allies and resources for one another in positive ways, and to learn When we aren't so that we can relinquish things attachments that are unhealthy.

Thinking about that for Virgos right now for librands, we're looking at the house of relationships itself, and that means whether it's interpersonal dynamics, business partnerships, any kind of meaningful personal relationship, what is the problem?

Process of change or evolution or transformation been like for you going back to March now, within the realm of more intimate connections with people that process reaching a critical point of resolution right now for Libras, for Scorpios, we look at the sixth house, a place of work, sacrifice, sickness, labor, a place where Venus could very well represent various conflicts that we've been working to heal, or turbulence in relationships that we've been working to smooth out.

The other part of this would be, what kinds of creative projects have you been pouring your soul into that have required blood, sweat, tears, sacrifice, but it's your joy, it's your passion.

It's a creative it's a creative work of some kind. And what's worth it, what brings happiness and what doesn't? There's effort in life every day, but what efforts are those that you know light you up inside?

That's an important distinction to be considering when Venus turns retrograde in the sixth for Sagittarians, we're looking at the fifth house, a place that is very much about what brings us creative joy and happiness with other beings in relationships, what brings creative satisfaction, what makes us feel like our most essential, authentic self is coming to bear on our relationships.

Creatively, we feel seen and validated and loved, and we also feel like we're playfully connecting with other human beings. The process of the Fifth house is about creative satisfaction and about creative self fulfillment.

Do I feel satisfied with the creative aspect of my nature and also things like love, romance, the topics of children in pregnancy are, of course, a part of this house as well, as well as you know your kids and how you relate to them, those topics being very important, bringing some resolution to things that have been happening in that area of life.

For Sagittarians, for Capricorns, we're looking at this process taking place in the fourth house, the place of home and family, your roots, the ancestral karma that you have grown up with that has shaped your life, the private sphere of life, your inner life.

What kinds of things have you been learning about yourself internally? More privately? Oh, this is what I like. This is what brings me pleasure or joy. These relationships are more privately, personally satisfying to me.

Also what's been taking place in the home or domestic sphere of life, what processes of change have been taking place, and how are you reflecting on your ancestry and the roots of family karma?

For Aquarians, we're looking at this in the third house, a place that has so much to do with learning and the mind and the development of our skills and our intelligence, and bringing ourselves to bear on the world in a way that makes us feel strong and smart and capable.

The third house, I love the Indian philosophy around the third house, which really says that, you know, as this house, is kind of drawing out from that private sphere of life, but the primary motion and aiming toward the east.

It's about bringing forth things from within us through the development of our intelligence, skills, abilities. It has a little bit of a competitive nature to it. Maybe that's partly why it's associated with siblings as well.

There's a natural kind of sibling rivalry quality to this house that can be extended into other social dimensions of life. But here, I wonder about harmonizing with other people in ways that are competitive but fun.

And I also think for Aquarians, about bringing forth a new dimension of your personality, your skills, your traits, your ability. Aquarians can be so smart and sometimes a little like a little serious, and I think Venus in this house could be bringing a dimension of fun or joy or play or creativity to bear on how you express yourself in the world, but also relationships with siblings or friends, the immediate environment around you, and what kind of makeovers you've been doing to the day to day reality that you live.

Those all come to mind for me. For Aquarians, the process of learning and creativity also.

So finally, for Pisceans, Venus is completing her process here in the second house, a place of money, resources, all of your time, energy, whatever you invest into life for the sake of sustaining and supporting material security, comfort, pleasure, satisfaction in the material world.

Venus here is pointing to a process of transformation taking place with respect to what you own, what you possess, how you earn, the skills or abilities that you have that go into supporting your material prosperity or security, and also maybe a shift in values in terms of what you want, the material setup of your life to look like, a shift in values or priorities with respect to things like what you earn or how you spend or the lifestyle that you lead, could also be a part of this, even including things like your diet.

So just some brief reminders for every. Everybody today. I hope that this was serviceable. It gives you some good things to consider here as we look at this.

Now, it's funny, because at the beginning of the week, you'll notice that in my month, my weekly overview, I didn't cover that Venus was going over these degrees. Honestly, it's because I didn't see it at first.

I just sort of spaced out on this fact. I have it in my notes for the yearly overview, but I don't always look at those, like, super carefully, because there's just, it's like a 50 page document.

So I'm like, you know, sometimes I just peruse and look at the transits for the week. And I didn't always look at all my detailed notes, but I was looking at it, I was like, oh, we can't skip this.

So a little bit of a detour. But this week only, we only have two transits at the end of the week that are really popping in, the sun, Uranus conjunction, and the mercury Mars dynamic.

So those we will still have plenty of time to cover. But I thought, you know, this is a good one to cover right now, because the next couple of days, we're going to see Venus go right over that point.

And don't be surprised if it's a little louder than you might anticipate from just like a random day of Venus movement in May, you know when she's not even really making any other aspects.

So keep your eye on that. Remember, any planets that transit across Eclipse degree? Eclipse degrees can sort of reactivate the energy of an eclipse. That's something astrologers have talked about for a long time.
