Hey everyone. This is Adam Elenbaas from Nightlight Astrology [https://nightlightastrology.com/].
I have got a really good episode cooked up for all of you today. We are going to take a look at the historical cycles of Venus retrograde in Scorpio, going back to the 1990s. These cycles recur every eight years. In case you didn't know that, we're going to be looking back at those. I'm going to give you some homework assignments.
They're optional. You could look back at these periods of your life with some ideas in mind, and that might help you understand what this upcoming cycle is likely to feature as themes and topics. So we'll do that today. But I've also got a really deep dive and other few layers of thoughts for you on Venus retrograde cycles in Scorpio in general.
As I was making my notes and adding to my developing thoughts about this upcoming transit this morning, I cast the I Ching. I've said this on the channel many times. I often talk with the I Ching before I prep my notes today. I looked at it, the I Ching, and the I Ching popped. It was just so loud, so vibrant, so clear, such a vibe.
I was like, okay, I'm definitely going to just share this reading with all of you today. Where often it will just kind of inform my notes, but this is amazing. So I can't wait to show you that, and hopefully this will give us some well-rounded ideas for the upcoming retrograde. Well, let's before we get into it, as always, remember to like and subscribe.
It helps us grow tremendously when you subscribe, turn on notifications. Give us a little thumbs up. We're almost to 100,000 subscribers. Welcome to a lot of new people on the channel, and thank you everyone for helping push us across this kind of kind of amazing threshold. Transcripts of any of these daily talks, as always, can be found on the website.

That's a very important and not often talked about part of this practice. All right, well that's it.
Those are our promotions for the day. Let's put Nachepso up on the screen. Of course, this is our affiliate software program. What we're going to do now is look at the historical cycles of Venus and Scorpio, and then I'm gonna I'm gonna take it a little bit deeper after we do that. So here's the first thing that I recommend doing.
Let's let's just talk about the timeline of this upcoming retrograde. So we are moving into the station period, which is coming up on october 2. So from october 2 to november 14, Venus will be retrograde in Scorpio. That is your upcoming Venus in retrograde period. Now we have a little ways to go before we get there, and a number more of a number of additional.
Videos and talks on this Venus retrograde to come, but every day I get an opportunity to cover this from a slightly different angle. I think, I mean, if anyone watches my channel for a while, you know that's what we do here. We turn the jewel. I like to say that archetypes are like jewels, and when you turn them and keep turning them, first of all, that's part of how you build your hermeneutic ability as an astrologer.
Your ability to interpret is based on context and having a large repertoire or diverse palette, whatever metaphor we want to use, for the different significations of a planet in a sign or a planet aspecting another planet into signs, etc. What we want to do today is continue turning that Venus retrograde in Scorpio jewel, and so we're going to do that after we look at these historical periods.
The first thing that I want to say is that Venus retrogrades occur every eight years in the same sign, and they cycle in patterns of five signs recurring every eight years, and then gradually over long periods of time they shift. We won't go any further than that for now, but that means that we can back Venus up, and we can go into the the historical periods of Venus by just backing the clock up eight years.
So the first one that I want to go back to is October of 2018. It was around this time. If I take this forward just a little bit further, you're going to see that Venus stations. Oh, for some reason I'm in 2021. No idea why. Let's get back to 2018. Here we go. So Venus stations in early October in 2018 as well.
This is like October 5th of 2018. Now I'm just going to show you how I did this in my own chart as a template for how you can track it in yours. So the first thing that you're going to do is locate the whole sign house in your birth chart that Scorpio occupies. Now, whole sign houses may not be your house system.
Maybe you use Placidus. Maybe you use a quadrant-based house system. I'm a Hellenistic astrologer with a strong background in modern psychological, archetypal, and evolutionary astrology. So I've done both, and you'll find this channel is kind of a fusion of Hellenistic and elements of modern psychological astrology, but I do use whole sign houses.
They are the template that is used in all horoscope writing. So if you think about if you know if you're a for me, I'm a Taurus rising. That means that Scorpio will occupy the seventh house of any horoscopes I ever read for myself. Now, unless I'm doing a sun sign horoscope, in which can't in which case I'd put Cancer on the ascendant.
But horoscopes work by whole sign, so just think about your rising sign as the whole sign first house, and then go in order of signs until you get to Scorpio. Now, when unless you're Scorpio rising, of course that'll be your first house. But here's mine in the seventh. So in October of 2018, I started aspiring with a guru.
Now, some of this is going to be like maybe a little TMI, but I think it's actually interesting. So that's in my seventh house of marriage and relationships. Our second daughter had just been born in July of 2018. I was aspiring with a guru in Bhakti Yoga tradition from from India, and I was attending a temple community in Potomac area, Maryland, and both my wife and I were really immersing ourselves in Vaishnav spirituality, and it was a it was a it was an amazing experience.
And many of you know I ended up taking initiation and taking on a different name, and then eventually sort of backing out of that space in my life. All of that is a different story, but what's interesting is it was right around this time that I took my my vows. My your vows sort of start when you start aspiring with a guru.
Aspiring with a guru may take place over the course of about a year, maybe more. But during that time, you're studying with that guru. You're asking all of your questions. You're, you know, you're you're kind of testing out. Like, is this a good fit for me as a spiritual teacher? Well, part of that were all of these lifestyle vows that had to change.
That involved things like vegetarianism and no drinking and no caffeine and limiting, not not like eliminating, but like really limiting sex and especially masturbation. And I know that's gonna for some people are gonna be like, "What the fuck, man! I know, sorry, but but it's interesting here because it's very Venus retrograde in Scorpio. So what's interesting for me is that that piece of.
The puzzle actually had a long, long history that dated back to the previous Venus retrograde. I'm gonna-that's why I'm sharing it. I don't mean to gross you guys out with like too much talk about you know my sexual adventures in life, right? But basically, in this tradition, you're you're supposed to reserve sexual activity for intimacy, for love, for connection.
Outside of it, just self gratification is considered potentially distracting. So it's like if it's rooted in connection and love with someone else, then that's sort of the guideline that I was given. I'm not saying that you need to believe that. In fact, I don't know if I believe that any longer, right? I, I, I'm that's, but that's where I was at.
Okay, so take that. Now, but it was also alcohol and marijuana and like just any any anything around pleasure suddenly got pulled back, and I and well, I was I was already living pretty clean because of ayahuasca and a path of sobriety that started in my early 20s. But that's what happened. All right. So what you want to do when you're tracking this is you want to go back and you want to see what was coming up around relationships, love, intimacy, friendships, values, desire, pleasure, and then locate it in a whole sign house in your chart.
Now, mine's pretty easy because it was literally in the seventh house where we have the traditional topics of sex and marriage and so forth. But there you have it. Now, let us go. And so, your your homework is what was happening around that time, and the the period was around let's say October of 2018.
I didn't do the exact dates for these, but let's just track it out here. So we would have had the stationing in November. So it's October, November, but you could drag it forward back through Scorpio and you know take it into basically like early January. So let's just say the from October through the end of the year in 2018.
Now, if we back this up to October, we can go back in time another eight years. So we're going to go back now to 2010. Now this is where it gets really interesting because in the fall of 2010, I I went through a really rough breakup, and it was during this Venus retrograde in Scorpio to a woman that I was engaged to be married to.
We had gotten engaged, and you know, kind of going down that path, and we just ran into, I think the the reality that we were meant to be like really deep soul friends. This is someone I still deeply treasure for the role they played in my life. Sincerely, one of the I wouldn't have a business today if it weren't for her because she started her own business and encouraged me to do so.
And when I was in between jobs and had actually had resigned from a job and you know had sort of was sort of like wandering, eventually collecting unemployment, and she had started her own successful business and encouraged me to do so with astrology. So you know, people play these interesting roles in our lives. We ended up breaking up during this time, and during this time, I realized that I needed to practice something called kurezza.
Now, again, this is like very seventh house Scorpio, so bear with me. But kurezza is a sacred sexual practice that involves intimacy without climax or without orgasm. So, practically speaking, this means deeply enjoying one another, exploring one another, finding rhythms and waves of pleasure, but not peeking, and and keeping the contact pretty gentle, like it's like very, very like gentle, soft, etc.
Now, the reason that I realized I needed to do this was because I had had a number of ayahuasca ceremonies that suggested that, dating back to the time that I was a teenager, this will tie in this like a whole history of Adam's weird sex life. But the the ayahuasca had told me that I had developed orgasm addiction, and that the the thing about Caretza, which ended up being very similar in Bhakti was that it was about intimacy, not orgasm.
And I came across it through a book that I had read and covered on Reality Sandwich called Peace Between the Sheets. And there was another, and the author's name was Marnia Robinson, and I interviewed her. And she also wrote another book called Cupid's Poisoned Arrow. It was talking about dopamine addiction around orgasms and pornography and stuff like that.
And although I didn't have like a pornography addiction, and I have no judgment about people who, you know, are in the sex working industry or like anything, like I am I am very accepting live and let live kind of person, but for me it had been an issue, right? And so this was a period of time where, in that breakup, I realized going forward I need to practice this sacred sexuality, and it ended up carrying me into my relationship with my wife.
We've spoken about this publicly before, and it was two to three years for my wife and I of practicing careza before we transitioned out of that space and ended up bringing climax back into our relationship in a way that has been really healthy and positive ever since. But it has also included the aspect of Caretza that was essential, which is outside of contact with your partner, you don't have orgasms, right?
So that was a big part of Caretza as well. Was just like an orgasmless life, and watching what that does for your sensitivity, especially for people who have had some history of like sex or orgasm addiction, so fascinating, right? Very Venus and Scorpio. Now that so that, but the choice to start a practice of Caretza came during that breakup in the fall of 2010, and within a year from then, I would meet my wife, and we would be practicing for about three years Caretza.
So when it came then to all of the when it when it came time for taking vows and initiation and so forth in the 2018 period, this element of my sexual life was being reiterated, but within a yogic context, and along with that, there were many other elements of lifestyle desire, etc. The the libidinal impulses that were being pulled back.
Now, for me, that's always been pretty helpful at times in my life because of my history with addiction, right? And I'm not saying so. I'm not trying to be prescriptive in sharing any of these stories. Everyone's in a different place. Everyone's got a different journey, but you can track the developments in some pretty remarkable ways. Now I'm going to show you two more.
Let's go back to 2002. Now you do the same thing for 2010. Look at what was happening around love, sex, marriage, relationships, pleasure, intimacy, the pleasure impulse. You know, you'll find some very interesting stuff. I go back to 2002, and we go back to 2002, and not very different here. In where is it? It stations.
Oh, I went to 2003. Here we go. Okay, let's go. Okay, here we go. So, it's stationed where? Must have been right about here. Okay, so it was like October 9. This is the fall of 2002. Okay, now going back all the way to 2002, it's remarkable to me. Anyway, it's like remarkable how some similar themes come up.
So in October of 2002, I got I was dating someone and went through a breakup, and it wasn't the world's most dramatic breakup. It was actually pretty simple and civil. But what's really interesting to me is that I this is a right around the time where I was finishing Christian college. I had gone to a Baptist private college, and was going to be a youth minister, and became a youth minister just months after this.
Right after I graduated, so I graduated in December of 2002, and was a youth minister by January, February of 2003, in the Chicagoland area. During this time, I went through a breakup that basically made me realize, and I know this is going to sound so again like I just apologize that you're having to hear any of this, but I think I do think it's a good story.
When you are like a Christian kid and you're you're trying to be Christ like and all of these things, you repress a lot. And the relationship I had that fall was basically about getting the sex out of me. Just like let's have sex, let's really enjoy it, and let's just get together with someone purely because you you just want to get laid. And to me, that was like.
A very, the thing that made that really hard for me was realizing that it wasn't. I felt really bad because I was like, I just really wanted to. I had I had broken up with someone, like a high school girlfriend. We had broken up during college. I was kind of like trying to figure out who I was, and then I was I was about to leave school and go out into the world, and it was sort of like the first time that I ever just let go of these inhibitions, and then realized like, well, you know, I I think I think both of us were sort of in it for that reason, but I felt really bad because I felt like maybe I had objectified someone, right?
Like I had just been in it for connect for hookup, and for me as like a Christian boy, like that was crazy to think that people could just like hook up and enjoy each other, but not like form a relationship where Christ is in the center and we're gonna get married. God damn it, you know, just so oh my god, it's like Little House on the Prairie in my head, or something back then.
So, but that's that's literally what happened. So, 2002 was a sexy time and a time of realizing that I had no, I I had a lot repressed. The big lesson around that, and it was very amicable, like you know. Again, like I don't. There weren't. There really not like any hurt feelings in it, but I felt really bad inside because I was really torn up about it.
Like, ooh, that was fun, but the devil's inside me, you know. Anyway, okay. So go back to 2002, explore. What did you find? What what came up around your sexual nature? Now, I'm by the way, there were like three or four other very interesting storylines that came up for me during these times about my career. But I chose to go into this one because I thought it was just a little bit more coherent.
But it's not that there's. It doesn't have to be just sex or relationships, right? It could be a lot of different things: style, taste, art, music, friendships, relationships of any kind. So keep your mind open. It doesn't have to be about your your sexual arc or whatever. All right. Well, let's go back to 1994, which is the last of these, and we're gonna go back about oh whoops we're going forward sorry here we go so if any of you read my book you might remember a chapter where I kissed a girl it's my first time kissing a girl and there was a kind of like a a theme a kind of spooky Halloween ordeal that occurred.
That was this Venus retrograde, but it was my first time kissing a girl, and it changed everything. It was like puberty. You know, I was 13 years old. It was just the floodgate of hormones, puberty, and this was like my first girlfriend, and not surprisingly, she was very gothic. Like she like wore black eyeliner and like the combat boots and the fishnet, and I was just I was screwed, man.
I really liked her. I remember in my book, I wrote. I talked about the cranberries pouring out of her headphones. Back then, it was a disc man. Remember those disc men? So, well, so that one's kind of simple and sweet, but it also coincides. And again, again, this is like a little TMI, but it also coincides with the time where orgasm addiction began in my life, and and I and I mean I think that's probably like the place where it begins for a lot of teenage boys or girls or whatever.
But and again, like for me, the path in my life on so many different levels has been about moderation of the pleasure impulse. I'm a Taurus rising. I have Venus square Uranus, and I I don't think that's everybody's struggle. So I'm not telling you anything about how you ought to think, behave, or feel about sexuality, impulses, orgasms, you know, any of it?
Please don't take me to be passing judgment or anything like that. But that's my story, and I was just kind of blown away by it when I looked back at it. So what I recommend doing is you could start with 94, you could go back eight years before that to 86, right, and just keep going. But at least these periods: October 2018, October 2010, October 2002, October 94, and you're really looking at like October, November, December as the main months of the retrogradation or the back and forth in Scorpio.
So keep that in mind. But what I encourage you to do is just try to gather as many of. The major events, themes, timelines, topics that you can you can use the whole sign House of Scorpio in your birth chart as like a hint, and see if it helps. Now, what I have found is that during those seventh house periods for me, certain key collaborative and creative relationships were born professionally, that were really cool and important.
I mean, like I said, I just followed like one through line of like sex, love, and relationship stories, but it's been so beautiful to watch that over and over again as deep lessons about pleasure and vulnerability and repression and shame and openness have been a part of that journey. Scorpio helps us to touch what is pleasurable that we feel ashamed of or that is dark, but it also helps us moderate things that might be extreme with respect to desires.
A beautiful transit. Now, okay. So his subscribers dropped by 1000. What the hell? What did you talk about? All right. Well, anyway, I like being real. I like keeping it real. Here's what I've got for you today in terms of the depth of this transit archetypally, so I did a I Ching. So the reading was hexagram 49 ching to hexagram 39, in hexagram 49 lines one and four ching, with the fourth line emphasized in the method that I use.
So I'm going to walk you through this reading. But for those of you who study the I Ching, you know you can you can use that. Here is here's my take on this. By the way, you want to know what's really interesting is did you know that I'm making this reflection on I'm making this reflection today on the Venus retrograde cycles and did this reading today because I make these a week in advance and while I'm making this, it's the Venus Pluto square just passing.
So, all right, 49 to 39 is really useful for Venus retrograde in Scorpio because 49 is the hexagram called Revolution, but it the the pairing of these two hexagrams together, 39 is called obstacle, and when you put them together, what it really does is it sort of says that any kind of genuine revolution in your desires, in your values, relationships, loyalties, your attachments, your pleasures, any genu genuine revolution becomes possible right now, but that revolution part of what it does is it reveals an obstacle, and in order for the revolution to happen, you have to see the obstacle and eliminate it, and then the revolution can occur, and that is such a perfect, simple, eloquent description of Venus retrograde in Scorpio.
You want a revolution? Great. Here's something unconscious. Here's a block, a limitation, an obstacle. You have to deal with it, and then the revolution will occur. That's why Venus in Scorpio is in her exile, and that's why it's a difficult place. Hexagram 49 is about when an old order or way or pattern or mold cannot hold any longer, so and that typically means a Venusian revolution.
So love, sex, relationships, pleasure, beauty. Sometimes that has to do with how you spend money or what kind of values you have, the agreements that are implicit or explicit in your life, friendship, different social bonds or contracts, and what we generally want or find desirable, and whether it's healthy or not. Now, Scorpio intensifies this because it tends to take Venus like two, three levels deep beneath the surface, where you will find attachments, entanglements, fears, jealousies, debts or obligations, different kinds of loyalties that exist, fears and jealousies that are say jealousy, said jealousies, different kinds of compulsions and power dynamics, buried desires, maybe even some grief.
The name of the hexagram in the Chinese, many translators call the hexagram revolution, translated again from the Chinese, that but that the image of the hexagram is associated with an animal changing its skin, like an animal that molts or sheds its hide, and so it's not. This hexagram isn't usually about something bad happening. It's about the recognition that an old form is now dead and has to be like it has to fall off.
And in order for that to fall off, there's usually like a reconsidering, a withdrawing, a stripping down, a renegotiating, or something being fundamentally reconstituted. What has reached the end of its legitimate life and. But is trying to replace it. That's the revolution of a Venus retrograde, like perfectly set. Now Benibel Wen, who is my favorite I Ching person and author, she gives the image in the first line of this hexagram, which reads.
Actually, let me bring it up so I can read it to you. Here we go. Using cord of yellow cowhide to bind them, omen alerting to the condition of oppression. Reform is needed. This is also the initial stage of revolution, the beginnings of an awakening. And so, for for this first line, it's the very start of the process of revolution, and it's where you realize that something has become intolerable or unsustainable, and you you recognize the need for change, but it's not that you're quite ready to act yet.
It's just sort of like this realization that in Venus retrograde often looks like I don't love this anymore, or I actually want something different, or this is there's a problem in my relationship that I've been avoiding, or my personal relationship with things like money, spending, pleasure, sex, beauty, approval, you know, public validation has Become unhealthy, but the oracle in this line says: just because you have the clarity and you see the problem doesn't mean that everything is ready to be immediately solved or changed.
In other words, don't confuse the desire to react or impulsively change something with the clarity that you have right now the clarity is good. The impulse to act may be preemptive. That doesn't mean it won't come. It's just you usually need to plot and plan a revolution a little bit carefully because it's a potentially volatile situation. Some revolutions fail because they're they're premature.
In other words, so remember you have an entire process around a Venus retrograde to start working things out through. And remember, it's got an eight-year lifespan and will continue to mature. And if I take you forward between 2018 and the current time, I realize that those vows that I had taken were a bit too strict, right? And so everything is an evolution, but you're trying to with Venus retrograde in Scorpio, for example, with the pleasure principle that I explored in my storyline.
You're constantly trying to get into the right relationship with pleasure, for example, and that takes a kind of an ability to self-reflect, refine, try again, and keep doing That now, the so a good question to ask yourself in the next weeks is like, what truth has been awakened inside of me? Maybe a desire or a realization about something Venusian that I can now see very clearly, but I don't know how to like act on that or create the revolution just yet.
So that's the first part of the reading. This is why the retrograde is a process, and if you try to do everything at the outset of a process, just like Mercury retrograde, you'll often kind of like stub your toe for acting too quickly, especially around the station, like early October. Now we go to line four, and line four is. I'm going to read you that one next.
Let's go. Here it is. Disappointments vanish. Virtue, trust, and sincerity change the mandate, a favorable outcome. This is both a reference to the mandate of heaven and to fate or destiny. The oracle message is a conditional. If you have this, then you can change destiny, or as it is used here, when heaven sees another to be virtuous, trustworthy, and sincere, heaven will change the mandate.
Means to have gained the trust of or to convince. Thus, you need to gain the trust of the divine. In more practical considerations, you need to gain the trust of the people you are hoping to serve. Okay, simple, simple line, but again, very profound. With a really powerful revel, with a powerful insight comes the ability to change fate. Think about that for a second.
This is spoken about explicitly in Indian astrology and Indian karmic philosophy. You're going down a track. Let's say you're smoking or drinking, or you have some kind of addiction, right? And you have that realization. Right now, my life can go in two directions. I can go down this path. I can go down this path. And if I'm sincere and choose the virtuous path, I can change my fate.
There are moments in life where we all feel something like this is happening. If I go in this direction, I can I can probably avoid something that I was headed toward that wouldn't have been as good. At every moment in my life, with those modulations of the pleasure principle, I realize. Unless I do this, I'm not going to have healthy, sustainable relationships with other people.
Unless I figure this out a little bit more, I'm going to relapse into addiction. Right? It's all of those things, and at every moment, it felt like this is a time where I have to choose again. And every attempt, if you just do it with as much good faith and virtue as you can, you don't have to get it all right.
You just have to keep trying to get it right, especially at these inflection points where it feels like I'm being given a chance to change my fate right now. Take that is right. Changing the mandate that means ching the fate. So the trajectory can be altered around a Venus retrograde. The clarity comes first, then comes a choice, then comes the change of fate.
The pattern seems destined to repeat, but all of a sudden you realize it doesn't have to. An old relationship doesn't have to repeat doing the same old thing. A relationship pattern inherited from childhood. You become aware of it. It doesn't have to keep generating the same kind of partnership or dating experience. Your relationship with sex, beauty, desirability can change. It can be organized around a different principle.
But the change isn't accomplished just by wanting something intensely. It it is about realizing, okay, there's clarity. There's something I desire. There's some shift I need to make, but I can't just go trying to do it impulsively and quickly. I need to really let the gravity of the situation set in, and realize, okay, I have to do this right.
I can't. I might have the clarity, but it's also about getting this right because if I do, I'm going to change my fate in a positive way. The stakes go up, right? And that's what we want in these moments: is for the stakes, for our awareness of the stakes going up, to help give us greater discernment, care, thoughtfulness about how we create that revolution or change.
So then the question might be, why does this sequence lead to 39, which is which is sometimes called obstruction or obstacle? And it's interesting because hexagrams in the I Ching are always like juxtapositions: if this, then this, or maybe this, maybe this, or if you don't do this, then that, right? And you always have to play with the juxtapositions; they're like riddles.
I don't think that hexagram 39 is at all canceling out the kind of excitement of the revolution of 49, because hexagram 39 is about obstacles and how we move around obstructions. So often, in times of revolution, when there's clarity, there's an impulse to change something. An obstacle will present itself at the outset, and we go, "Oh man, you know, if only this person could change, or if I if I just had some more money, or if only they loved me, then this could really work, and we could create this revolution.
If only I were more attractive, or if only this collaboration were possible. If only I had what I want, whatever it is, we we immediately when we see the potential for making a change, boundaries, barriers, obstacles, obstructions, blocks will show up, and we go ah, you know, we just freak out. But the obstacle becomes the teacher because how we face the obstacle and move around it is like a it's like an end level boss in Mario Brothers.
You know, it's what's that dragon, King Koopa? Is that his name? Spitting fire at you, so the the obstruction may be very very meaningful. It's the fear beneath this romantic choice. It's the insecurity. It's the grief or jealousy. It's the loneliness behind a compulsive behavior, it's the control behind our financial behavior. It's the shame beneath our sexuality or our pleasure.
It's the wound that is somehow there in our relationship patterns. It's the dependency or the problematic attachment pattern in love. The obstacle is the thing that gets illuminated, and you have to work around it. And if you're careful and thoughtful about how you work around that obstacle, if you take it as a meditative omen, it's like no, really meditate on this.
Like, why is this such a block? I might be clear about what needs to change, but I feel so blocked in creating that change. But what is that block, and sit with it. So the other thing that's really important that I was thinking about is when you do create a revolution. Oftentimes, guess what? You have to face the new reality that comes after the revolution, and sometimes initially it doesn't feel too great.
Let me give you some examples. You change the mandate of your fate, and all of a sudden you realize that there's more responsibility required of you, you know, or you leave an unhealthy relationship, but now you're lonely. You stop people pleasing, but now you have to deal with a little bit more conflict than you're used to. You might become financially more responsible, but then encounter limits on your spending, and you have to deal with how to fill space that you used to spend in.
You may stop chasing validation, but then have to really be present with your inner insecurity. You may not have orgasms anymore, and then have to meet and get to know your desire nature and find other outlets for it. One of mine, and I'm being straight up honest here, has always been my guitar. When I feel that rising in me in a way that feels destructive, it's the same impulse that I used to have to to drink or to take opiates in my early 20s.
I will play my guitar. It's one working out is another one for me for sure. Meditation being my absolute number one, and hexagram 39 can also sort of change our strategy for how we revolutionize how we revolutionize. Yeah, so 49 says, hey, something's got to change. 49 line one is like, don't do it prematurely, you know, but be careful.
Number four is when the change is sincere and legitimate. You have changed your entire trajectory and your fate. Congratulations! But then 39 says, the adventure continues in the wake of this revolution. What is the next phase of life that you get to learn how to move through with new challenges that come with it? Don't think that there won't be the the next phase won't have new challenges that might be there almost immediately, but wouldn't you rather be in that set of challenges because it reflects a deeper level of awareness and consciousness in your life?
All right, that's what I've got for all of you today. I'm feeling a little vulnerable for sharing all of that, but I do hope that it helps you in in some way, to reflect upon your own life, your own journey. Certainly, we all have very different stories, and I hope you feel respected for yours.
Always on this channel, I'm going to sign off, but I'm going to tell you more about the Year One program next. I hope that you will consider coming and studying with us.
