You know the feeling of standing in a room when the air shifts before the storm. That is where we are now. Mars is preparing to meet Uranus in Gemini—a conjunction that arrives like the first crack of lightning in a sky that has been quiet too long. This is not chaos for its own sake. It is the psyche's way of breaking open what has grown too rigid, too familiar, too safe.
Uranus does not announce itself. It spills the syrup. It shatters the glass. You cannot predict the form, only the pattern: the sudden, the unexpected, the fiercely original. This is astrology as lived experience—not a forecast, but a conversation with surprise.
Where does Gemini live in your chart? That is where the first forceful act of this seven-year story will land. The question is not whether something will break, but what will be freed in the breaking.

Hey everyone. This is Adam Elenbaas from Nightlight Astrology [https://nightlightastrology.com/].
Happy Friday, everyone. Today we're going to take a sneak peek at Mars's upcoming conjunction to Uranus, which is happening in the sign of Gemini. Mars has not yet ingressed into Gemini, it is about to. I'm going to lay out the timeline for you and give you some things to watch for. This will be the first of probably a few episodes that we'll do, including horoscopes, on one of the biggest transits of the year.
One of the reasons that this is the biggest, a biggest transit of the year is that Uranus has been in Gemini only recently. We had a very little amount of time with Uranus in Gemini last year, and this might be one of the first major, rebellious, erratic, defiant kind of original moments for Uranus in Gemini. Everything that's hit Uranus in Gemini so far has been pretty light. So, having this moment to see Mars with Uranus will probably ignite some of the more dynamic changes that Uranus in Gemini is bringing into our lives.
So, for that reason, I feel like it's worth getting out in front of a little bit. That's what we're going to do today. Before we get into it, as always, remember to like and subscribe, share your comments, your reflections, your experiences. You might be feeling this coming on already, even though Mars is out of sign. So, tell me what you're noticing whenever you listen to this. You can find transcripts of any of these daily talks on the website, that's nightlightastrology.com
Let's head over to the website for a few brief promotions, you guys know I'm promoting my new book right now. Go to the shop page, click on my books, The Oracle Speaks. This is a book that's a collection of stories, really encrypted with everything I know and believe astrology to be at the deepest spiritual and metaphysical levels. Seems strange that you might say that about a collection of stories, but I think you'll get what I mean if you check this out. So I hope you'll enjoy it.
If you do read it, take a picture of yourself with a book somewhere on, tag me on Instagram at Nightlight Astrology. That'd be really cool. It's been really cool to also hear what chapters and stories really stand out to you, how you see your own stories reflected in this book, and your relationship with astrology. I will be announcing a little book release party that I'll be having open to the public. If you want to game, come hang out with me and celebrate the release of my book. I'll be announcing that next week, so stay tuned for that.
Anyway, the next thing is, of course, that first year program starts on June 28. That is coming up this weekend, so you have a little bit of time left, just a couple of days, if you want to join us. It's not too late. There's an informational video at the end of today's content, and you can check out everything that the course includes. There's need-based tuition if you need a little help to make the program happen. If you're hurting a bit financially or need something to really work within a tight budget, please do check that out.
We want to make sure that a spiritual topic like astrology is accessible to people at different financial backgrounds, so that's a big important part of our mission. Anyway, final thing I'll say is that on the events page, community quiet. Check out the daily meditation gathering, it's free. You can come join us. It's a nice community of people. I love hanging out with all of you. It's been really nice. We've been doing it since January, I think. Anyway, if you also go to the events page, the annual retreat.
This year's retreat was easily the best thing I've ever done at Nightlight, easily my favorite event I've ever hosted, class I've ever taught. It was so experiential, so immersive, so good to be with other people sharing this beautiful subject. We're going to be having an annual retreat in 2027 will go on sale in July. So, if you want to register and join us for next year's retreat, I'll have details on that in July. All right, that is it for promotions for the day.
Of course, you guys know every day I promote a CHEP, so which is my software program. I'm an affiliate for it. You can find the discounts, 20% off, in the comment section or the description of the video. It is a fantastic software program, you know. Pioneering new technology and into the astrology software realm is something that I believe should be led by astrologers who actually care about the spiritual integrity of the tradition, and that's what Necepso is.
It's founded by a group of people I know, people who really care and love, care about and love astrology. So this is better to me than people who have no interest pouring money into our industry that will capitalize on it without, you know, really deep, thoughtful consideration of why we're doing what we're doing and how we're doing it. So, anyway, check out Niche episode. All right. Well, anyway, on Niche episode today, here's what I want to point out. Let's get the, let's get the epic pen.
Here we are, Friday, June 26 and I want you to notice that Mars is culminating in Taurus. We looked at Mars on Algol earlier this week, if we take this forward another day, let's give it two days to Sunday, June 28 Mars enters Gemini and is immediately within that three degree range. So, if you're not feeling it already, usually there's a little bit broader engagement space for outer planets in my experience, because they move so slow, they're like they kind of have a heavy symbolic center of gravity.
If you take this transit forward just a little bit, you're going to see that they start their conjunction around July 3, and that conjunction finishes through July 4, and their separation takes place all the way till about July 7, so that means our Independence Day is very Mars, Uranus, and Gemini. If you know anything about the history of Uranus and Gemini in our country, ought to be interesting. I'll just say that, not that I have any big predictions, but I am kind of going, "Oh, this one's it's rare that you see transits like this not really popping in the collective, I've got to say, even though I'm not, my not a focus, my focus is not mundane astrology, anyhow.
So we are looking at right now, as we're listening to this, we're, you know, we're a little over a week away from the real consideration of this transit, but next week we'll do a lot of work with this transit on the channel, and I wanted to start, you know, just getting into it a little bit today, so I have five things to watch for. I also have to admit to you guys that I am on a bit of a time crunch today, because I had some, I had some issues with my software, and I have kids are home from school, blah blah blah blah, so my production schedule got crunched today because of dealing with tech issues, very Mercury retrograde, but anyway, Mercury's approaching its station as I'm making this, so I'm a little bit limited on time, so this episode will probably be a little bit shorter than usual, but I figure let's get out in front of this because it's such an epic transit. Let's talk about five things to watch for.
So, the first thing I want to say is that wherever the whole sign house of Gemini is in your chart, and we will do horoscopes for this in another episode, think about that house receiving maybe its first, most defiant, original, forceful act of rebellion or creativity that the Uranus and Gemini era has to offer the reason I say that is because sure we've gone through the sun's conjunction to Uranus, we have gone through, you know, I think it was Mercury or maybe even Venus early on, maybe Venus was like right out in front of it or something, but we haven't, we haven't really had, we had a new moon in Gemini, not conjoined Uranus, but we've had some things kind of stimulating that area of our charts, but when an outer planet like Uranus is going to spend seven years in a sign, the first big explosive releases of that energy or that symbolism in our lives often occurs when there are very powerful encounters with other planets in the first swath of degrees that the planet is traveling through in the new sign, what that means is that this Mars-Uranus dynamic is going to be that, that's the moment, right.
And then I'm going to put the chart back up on the screen for one second, because I forgot to show you guys one more thing. So the other thing to consider is that as this is happening, this conjunction between Mars and Uranus, Uranus is also within about a degree, degree and a half of its trine to Pluto, which is also another first major moment for these two planets. Now, the reason that I think that is really important is because it's a trigger event. A trigger event is often the first of a domino sequence, so if let's just show you how this plays out.
If we take this forward just a little bit more, we're going to see that the conjunction occurs between the third and fourth of July, and then right after that, let's give it to about July 7, three days later. Uranus moves on to the fourth degree and is now perfectly engaged with the trine to Pluto, that trine to Pluto will perfect throughout the course of the rest of July, which coincides with the Pluto-Jupiter, Jupiter-Pluto opposition around July 18, 19th. Uranus, Pluto are trine at that point, so this really is one of the first very, like, unmistakably dynamic loud moments for Uranus in Gemini, and to be honest, we just haven't had that yet. We have not had a big explosive Uranus in Gemini experience, so we're about to get one.
Let's see what it's like. I like to remind myself frequently, because I do this, I get in my head thinking I know what's going to happen when a transit occurs. No, I know the different patterns that are likely to occur, but I very rarely can I like nail exactly what's going to happen. For I'll just give you a simple example. My mom was visiting, and I knew in the evening of her visit that the moon was going to be squaring Mars, just a simple transit, but I thought, oh, that's marking the middle of our evening together, and I thought to myself, well, we'll avoid certain topics, you know, and you know what happened.
I opened a cupboard, and one of my girls, I think, had - I'm pretty sure had - who knows, maybe it was me, whatever I had, maybe I had put away a bottle of syrup, and it was somehow leaning against the door, and it was a glass bottle of syrup. So, when I opened it, because it was leaning against the door, it just fell right out and shattered on the ground. So, what happened over the course of the next half hour was trying to keep the dogs out, trying to keep my kids out, and my mom and my wife and I all trying to clean glass and syrup all over the floor now.
Earlier that day, I knew Moon and Mars are what an absurd story, by the way. But yeah, so we ended up, you know, picking up glass out of syrup, and then it was crazy. It was just nuts. And we had plans for what we were going to do with the evening, but everyone was so exasperated by the end of it. We were so annoyed with our kids because they kept trying to walk into the midst of glass and syrup, and the dogs too, that the whole evening just kind of got turned on its head, and we ended up just sort of doing something really subdued and simple, because it just, it took the air out of us, you know, the spirit out of us, or whatever.
My point in sharing this is that Uranus is very much like that as a planet, you think you know earlier in the day, well, there's a moon, Mars, you know, square, so probably there'll be some volatility, but the actual syrup falling out and surprising you as a glass and syrup shatter all over the floor. I never could have predicted it was a complete shock, a complete surprise. Most of astrology is like that, not surprising that a lot of people have associated Uranus with astrology itself, I think that it goes far beyond any of the, I don't know, people sometimes associate Uranus with eclectic sciences, spiritual sciences, things like that. Sure, fine, but one of the key reasons I associate Uranus with astrology itself is because astrology is both predictable and unpredictable, you can get the themes, patterns archetypally aligned, but that syrup is a surprise, that's usually how it works.
So this is going to be a first forceful act of Uranus in Gemini. We all sort of know what that looks like, but I guarantee it'll be a surprise. We will not see the glass syrup coming. And by the way, don't try to use a broom on syrup, my first. I was like, "Oh, wait, I didn't actually do it, but I almost did it, and then I caught myself, and I was like, "Hmm, that may not be effective." Anyhow, that's point number one.
Number two is defiant mental and verbal energy. So, look, when you get a Mercury ruled sign, I've got Mars in Gemini natally, and I love thinking, I love reading, I love typing, I love writing, I love writing, I love speaking, I like listening to people speak, I like hearing people talk. I'm, I, my brain is like a little coffee shop that, and I'm sure a lot of you can relate, if you have a strong Mercury or whatever, but Mars really likes to stir the pot, and I will say that it can get a little overstimulated in Gemini already. Mars in Gemini can a lot of my adult life has been about embracing physical exercise and meditation as two things that really keep my mind stained.
Be like, you work out obsessively, I'm like, you should see my head, it's a lot, it's a lot better in here, because, because I go and lift heavy stuff, and then my mind shuts up, and then it shuts up for a while. Thank God. The point is that the mental, verbal energy can be really intense, erratic, rebellious, defiant, but very original too. That's my third point, original thinking. So, we want to watch for erratic mental, intellectual, verbal, communicative energies. You can really pop off and hurt someone with your words with this transit.
You can also get into conflicts or arguments or power struggles with authority figures, especially where it feels like someone is trying to hold something over you that feels boring or unoriginal, on not so thoughtful or smart, there can be a real resistance to things that feel sort of, I don't know, like obtuse. Now, original thinking is the real gift of this transit. There are going to be some very powerful and very original thought ideas, maybe even use of technology. I wouldn't be surprised to see some people really experiencing. For all of us, it's relative.
I'm not saying we're all Mozart or Einstein, but moments of genius, moments where you just go, I just didn't see, you know, I just.. I just didn't see that coming. I don't know where it came from, but it was a great idea, or it was a good way of handling something. It was a good way of solving a problem. So, the originality can be just really off the charts with these two erratic forces, and I've never experienced these two in my life, to be clear. But I know the two of them independently put them together in this sign, I've got a pretty good idea.
We're going to have some very powerful and original thinking, but erratic. This is not the mean, be careful driving and out in busy places. The potential for these two energies, especially think of these two things also occurring. Let's not forget, as I back this up just a little bit, do not forget that these two planets in their conjunction are hosted by a Mercury retrograde. Okay, so, so the Mercury, Mercury retrograde has the power to really make this quite intense in terms of things going off the rails and being sort of habits patterns being like suddenly jolted and disturbed in, in ways that are, you know, really intense, so.
So let's keep, keep that in mind, and walk with reverence, walk carefully, walk thoughtfully, like mindfulness is a good ally with the erratic quality of this transit, taking your time, digesting experiences, being careful of reactivity, don't do things quickly when you're frustrated or overwhelmed, and there's any chance of hurting yourself, stuff like that.
Number five would be brilliance and breakthroughs. There are going to be things that happen around you, not that you're necessarily in control of, they don't necessarily come from your own mind, but you're just going to see brilliant things happening where you, they are really dazzling and awe-inspiring, and they create freedom, they create breakthroughs, they create opportunities, they, they open a space quickly and rapidly, they create an adaptable openness to change, and it's sudden, and it's fast, and it might feel quite exhilarating.
This is exciting. There's no reason to be super scared about this transit, even though some of these things are obviously, you know, there can be almost like an intemperance, like a potential to just fly off the rails at the same time. This is quite dazzling. We are.. I can't write about right away. I'm like, oh, I don't know about fireworks this year, because it could.. you could see we light off some fireworks out at the lake. They're just these.. they.. they don't let you do much here in Minnesota. You get these little.. I don't know what they are.. they're like little sparklers. Anyway, but I would be careful. This is got "blow your finger off." This has got "blow your finger off" written all over it.
But also, I could see this.. like, if I'm being honest, when I was a kid, funny story, I'll end with this funny story. When I was a kid, the I would go to my grandpa's house in the summer, and we were often there for the Fourth of July, and the neighbor down the street that I played with all the time, he was like a really good buddy, all of their kids were my friends, and on Fourth of July, we got to light off a huge stash of fireworks. This is the funny part: they were fireworks that had been confiscated by the sheriff, because his dad was the sheriff. So, so my friend's dad was the, like, county sheriff or whatever. He confiscated illegal fireworks, and then let us blow them up, and we would, and he didn't give us anything like crazy, like, but I mean, I'm sure, I'm sure there were big stuff he confiscated that he didn't give us, but he gave us a lot of stuff, bottle rockets, Roman candles, stuff like that.
Anyway, that was really funny, so we would blow off fireworks together on this, my grandpa had a lot of land, so there's a lot of space, you know, it was not like we were doing it in town or whatever, and we, my grandpa, my grandfather had the uncanny ability to tap wells, he absolutely rejected anyone saying that he had that water diviner ability, he thought that was hokum, but he did, because he could tap wells. He tapped two of them on his land purely by intuition, and like you asked him, like, how did you know where the water was, because he dug out these artesian wells and made artesian well ponds, whatever, like, how did you know? And he would be like, I just, I just learned as a kid growing up, and he was worked on the land his whole life, so I don't know, he had a maybe there were some ways that he knew or something, but he had a very sixth sense for this, and it was well known in the family.
Anyhow, there's an artesian well pond in the backyard, and we would stand on either side of it, and we would get these little pipes, and we would shoot bottle rockets at each other and try to hit each other from across the pond. How smart is that? Lucky that I'm not like Adam the one-eyed pirate astrologer or something like.. anyhow, I'm just playing, and I mean no offense to anyone who's lost an eye, Jesus, so anyhow, long story short, I think back at that, and I think, well, do you know how exciting and exhilarating that was for me as a kid to play with, kind of play with fire? Not that I'm, I am not condoning that by kids, did that, I'd be so pissed, but the point is, when you're a kid and Gemini is a very useful sign, sometimes you play with things that are sort of, it's like Mickey Mouse and the Sorcerer's Apprentice, you're playing with fire, there's Prometheus, is the fire, the stealer of the fire, so I gotta feel like the fact that that's happening on Fourth of July, I don't know.
Set aside all the other political and historical things that might be implicated, but anyway, that's where I'll leave it today. I hope you're all having a great day. I hope this was an interesting, you know, introduction to one of the bigger transits of the year. We'll get back to it again next week. Last day to check out the year one program we start this weekend is not late to join, need-based tuition is available. Check it out, and we'll see you again next week. Bye.
