You walk into your home after a long day. The lights are on. The air feels different. Someone has been here before you, and whatever they did—whatever atmosphere they created, whatever mess they left or order they made—that's what you now walk into. This is the strange intimacy of how fate works, especially this week.

We're in the wake of a recent eclipse, and Mars is now moving to square Uranus from that very same degree. Think of it as the first ripple moving outward from a stone already dropped. The eclipse established something in one area of your life—a change, a completion, a seed planted. Now Mars arrives to act on it, to push against it, to give it momentum and friction. And Uranus, from its position in Taurus, responds. It's not initiating; it's reacting to what Mars has already set in motion.
This is the astrology of consequence. Not punishment or reward, but the simple truth that action precedes reaction, that what we walk into was often set in motion before we arrived. The question becomes not "what's happening to me?" but "what am I now being asked to respond to, and how will I meet it?"
In this episode, we walk through all 12 whole sign horoscopes with a particular lens: understanding the superior position of Mars in this square and what it means for the house where Uranus sits. You'll learn a way of reading transits that you can carry forward—a small key to unlock larger patterns.
Throughout life, we form attachments. Eventually, we have to relinquish them. The eighth house teaches us that there is something vulnerable about this—something deeply human about the bonds we make and the painful grace of letting them go. When change comes to this place in our chart, it presses on everything else, asking which alliances carry reciprocal life and which have become only habit.
Whether you're an Aries watching the 11th and 2nd houses converse, or a Pisces sensing the 12th house stirring something in your daily mind, this square is an invitation to notice where the drama has already been set—and where you're now being called to respond.
If you'd like to go deeper into these themes, consider joining our morning meditations or the upcoming webinar on the first house as a place of dharma.

Hey everyone. This is Adam Elenbaas from Nightlight Astrology [https://nightlightastrology.com/].
Today we're going to take a look at the upcoming Mars square to Uranus. This square from Mars is happening on the degree of the eclipse, or really close to it. We talked about that earlier this week in a video where we sort of explored the general archetypal themes of Mars squaring Uranus.
Today, we're going to do horoscopes for all 12 whole signs. I'm going to give you a unique take on how to read horoscopes given the superior planetary aspect that we have from Mars. Hopefully you'll find that interesting, because you can easily apply that to tracking transits on your own. So it'll be like a little bonus astrology lesson for the day.
Anyway, before we get into it, as always, remember to like and subscribe, share your comments, your reflections, your stories, if you have them. It's always really nice to hear from you guys and what you're experiencing out there. Also take the two seconds to press the subscribe button if you watch regularly and are not yet subscribed. It means so much to us. It helps our business grow. We really appreciate it. You can find transcripts of any of these daily talks on our website. That's Nightlight Astrology.com.
When you are over there, just a couple of brief promotions today before we get started. Go to the events page. Click on immersive retreat. We are taking a retreat to Mexico for a unique training program in the art of divination. This is a retreat that's really meant to be about how you develop that living relationship with an Oracle, which can be applied to your relationship with Tao, astrology, the I Ching, really anything. But that part of it, we don't often talk about. We talk about theories and techniques and how to delineate a chart, but we don't often talk about how to develop a relationship with that living oracle that lives and speaks through things like cards or astrology and so forth. So if that sounds interesting to you, the deadline for registration is March 14. It's coming up soon. You still have some time to register. We have, like, 12 spots left or something like that.
All right. The next thing is daily meditation. Every single day at Nightlight in the morning, you can meet with us at 9:30am Eastern Time for group meditation. We sit for 20 minutes in silence to start the day. It's a great way to deepen your relationship with astrology. Have a little bit of accountability in group practice, which can really help if you have a hard time doing it on your own, having a group there to motivate you. It's easy. It's free. The link is down here at the bottom. And Sundays, we meet 11:30 Eastern, 10:30 Central, for Silent Sundays, which is meditation. Plus we have some time for group sharing, processing and reflecting, which is really nice. So check that out. New free event. Happy to be offering it.
Book a reading. Need based astrology reading, different tiered pricings. You can check that out if you want to get a chart reading. We want to make sure that people aren't priced out of getting readings. I offer horary readings. And then finally, go to the events page. Click on live talks, you'll see that my talk for March is on the 12th. It's for people wanting to go deeper with the first house. First house in your birth chart is a place of dharma. What does that mean? Why was it first associated with the topic of dharma? We're going to explore that in March's webinar. So register and you'll receive the link to the webinar. And if you can't attend live, you will get the download linked or you get the recording to watch later.
Okay, so on that note, let us now turn our attention to the real time clock. Let's remind ourselves of what's going on with this astrological transit first, so we can see that coming into the end of the month, we have the perfection of these two planets in their square is taking place Friday. So we're just out before this, and it's taking place, but it will get a few degrees of separation until Mars enters Pisces on Monday. So you can think of this as something that's taking place on Friday, but will stretch over the weekend in terms of the impact.
The other thing that's important to note is that this is taking place just one degree off from the recent Eclipse point. So the eclipse will be taking place and or the eclipse did... my words today, I'm like half, like I'm short circuiting. The recent eclipse took place at around 28 degrees of Aquarius. And so we're looking at the connection between the recent eclipse and this transit, as we talked about earlier this week, as a kind of shock wave, or a little bit of a reactivation of the eclipse. This is, in a way, the first event that carries forth from the eclipse. Because any time that transits happen around the eclipse point, especially in close succession to the eclipses, you typically see some of their fruits blossoming, so to speak, on a karmic level.
So what we're going to do today is we are going to look at this from the standpoint of all 12 whole sign horoscopes. But, and this is where the astrology lesson comes in. All right, I took a pause and opened my windows, let some light in. I think I was feeling a little sleepy. Okay. Well, what I want to focus on today is the fact that in this square, not only is it a reactivation of the eclipse, which makes that whole sign house of Aquarius within the square more prominent. In other words, when we think about this square from Mars in Aquarius to Uranus in Taurus, we're really thinking about the centrality of the whole sign house of Aquarius in our charts.
The other thing that points us in that direction is the fact that this square from Mars to Uranus is in the superior position, meaning Mars is setting the order of action. A simple way of thinking about this is that in superior/inferior aspect dynamics in ancient astrology, the aspect from Mars is coming off Mars's right hand side. So if you imagine that you are Mars and you're a person, Mars is a person looking into the middle of the wheel. To the right hand side of Mars, you're standing facing right into the middle, then off the right hand shoulder of Mars is Uranus. What that means is that the aspect is coming off the right hand side of Mars, making Mars the superior planet within the dynamic.
So this is important, because you can see from this visual right here that Mars has risen first, and in a 24 hour day, that means Mars will cross the top of the sky first, a place that was called Praxis or action. And what that means, in turn, is that whatever planet within an aspect dynamic is superior has crossed the center of the sky, the place of practice or action, first, meaning that its context is establishing the scene or scenario, karmically, that the other planet is going to rise into the sky and face or meet.
It's like, well, you know, if someone was in your house prior to you getting home, whatever they did in your house is going to be what you come home to. So whatever the planet that rises prior in order, in an aspect dynamic, that's the superior planet, is establishing what the other planet is entering into and facing. In a superior square, it's usually a direct line of conflict, but also it's defining something that has to be acted on, sometimes with the sense of urgency or determination or perseverance, but it can also mean a kind of conflict that the other planet is entering into.
So what we're going to do in these horoscopes is look at this from the standpoint of the centrality of the whole sign house of Aquarius, which is where the eclipse took place, and given Mars' superior position, also sitting right on the eclipse degree, the drama that's been set for Uranus to essentially work with. So it's a little subtle nuance that you can always throw in when you're reading aspects and charts. Think of the planet in the superior position as establishing what's happened in the house that the other planet is entering into, like the analogy of someone being in your home and then you coming home to receive whatever's taken place in your living space.
So Mars is setting the agenda. The eclipse is setting the agenda. Now, the square to Uranus is carrying it forth in some way, but Uranus in Taurus is responding to the agenda set by Mars in Aquarius and the eclipse in Aquarius. So that's what that means. All right, and I apologize because I am just like, I'm like half awake today. It's funny. It's really funny because I'm recording this on the day that Saturn and Neptune are conjoining. Basically, you get this a week, or I record this a week in advance, and I'm feeling so foggy today. It's just like, not even funny. But okay, so this is what we're going to do. We're going to work through all horoscopes, given the precedent being set by Mars in Aquarius.
Okay, so for Aries sun or rising. And as always, you can listen to these for your sun or rising sign. I always recommend your rising because that's going to correlate with the whole sign version of your birth chart. The transits will be super accurate that way, but whatever you do is just fine. So in this case, for Aries, we're thinking about the conflict that has established itself in the house of friends, groups, communities, or the sense of action or immediacy, or urgency, or transformation created by the eclipse in Aquarius in your 11th house of friends. This is also a house that pertains to the long term dreams, goals and visions for the future. And so what urgency or changes have been happening with respect to your dreams and visions, hopes and aspirations, or friends groups and so forth.
Within that space of change and transformation, Uranus in the second house of money and resources is responding and creating some need for change or revolution or inventiveness or a breaking of established patterns around things like money, resources, business, income, and assets, materially speaking, and what does material security look like. So think about the conversation happening between these two places in your natal chart, being activated, especially by the conflict, urgency, or action present in the house of friends. That's the point.
All right, let's move on to Taurus. So for Taurus, the action's been set by Mars in the career house, or the eclipse in the career house. So there's professional transformation occurring. Maybe new doors are opening, or a new era, or new chapter is starting. And this kind of change in the career house is immediately creating a kind of agitation or pressure to continue evolving personally, to break out of old habits or patterns, outdated or outworn modes of selfhood, character, even, you know, your appearance or your physical health. You want to think about it from that standpoint. So the urgency around Mars in the 10th in the career, or the public facing part of your life, setting the stage with the eclipse there, and the response, therefore, from Uranus in the first has to do with how does continued personal evolution fit into the pressures that I'm facing in the career or public facing part of my life.
Let's go to Gemini. So with Gemini, we're talking about Mars in the ninth, and that means, with an eclipse in the ninth, Mars at that eclipse point in the ninth, you're thinking about ideological, academic, or philosophical kinds of tensions or pressures or changes, or a need or call to action somehow that's related to your convictions, beliefs, worldviews. And this is in turn triggering things to be released or revolutionized from a more unconscious or subconscious place, in places that you can't see, or it could be forcing you inward somehow, or taking you away from the world and into a more introspective space where it could be unearthing unconscious material. But think about the unconscious space responding to the changes from the house of faith, learning, higher beliefs, maybe travel or foreign countries and so forth.
All right, let's move along now to Cancer rising. So for Cancer rising, the drama, the action has been established in your eighth house recently. This is a place of debts and emotional bonds, or karmic bonds with other people, friendships and group alliances in the eighth house, where there's a really deep give and take and there's maybe power dynamics. That's the Aquarius eighth house. So intimacy and the intimate dynamics of karmic exchanges are setting the stage, and then there's a response taking place within the space of community, friends, groups, long term dreams and goals. This is maybe about which alliances or networks have healthy karmic bonds and reciprocal dynamics taking place with them and which do not.
But think about the eighth house, a place of death, debt, what is shared, what has to be relinquished in the form of bonds or attachments. Throughout life, we form attachments, we eventually have to relinquish them. There's something very painful and vulnerable about the eighth house because of its association with attachments and release of attachments. So change in that space is pressing the issue somehow within spaces of groups, friendships and communities. So keep all of that in mind if you're a Cancer. The other thing is that, you know, intimate dynamics within friendships and changes to... because the 11th house is a place of friendship and the eighth is a place of the deeper exchanges karmically in life, there could be some very powerful changes happening in friendships right now, just generally speaking.
So with Leo rising, we see that the action is being established and set. The context that Uranus finds itself in has already been established by Mars and the eclipse in the seventh house of marriage and relationships. So something happening in the space of interpersonal dynamics, friendships and relationships is setting the parameters of action for revolutionary Uranus in your 10th house of career, vocation, and kind of your public or forward facing self. So the changes happening in intimate spheres, in interpersonal dynamics, any kind of partnership, and the way that relationships are prodding growth and change right now is intimately tied to what Uranus is reacting to in the 10th house of career or public, public image. So think about that as you are considering this square. It's really the established line of action is coming from the seventh.
All right, for Virgos, we have Mars in the sixth, and Mars in the sixth, along with the eclipse in the sixth, set the stage. So this has to do with the things you're working on, the things you're trying to get better at, the grind of life, the daily routines, the practical obligations that you have to work toward, health, tensions, maybe conflicts on a certain level, with other people that you're struggling with. These are all things that are pretty common for the sixth house. Also the need to do something that you believe in. If you're going to work and get good at something, it better be something that you think serves a purpose and falls in line with a real, authentic sense of who you are. But the established action in the six from the eclipse and Mars has to do with daily work, daily sacrifice, daily effort, the conflicts or difficulties that are worth it somehow and those that aren't.
This is, in turn, directly corresponding to Uranus, revolutionary Uranus in the house of the higher mind, in the house of religion, beliefs, philosophy. And so there's something happening in the sixth that's part of what Uranus in the ninth is responding to. The change in philosophy or the change in belief, or the different perception of reality, the deepening of your convictions or understanding of reality, is responding to what has been changing along the lines of daily work, daily health, daily effort, daily sacrifice, the daily conflicts of the material world that you're dealing with. It's a pretty ripe place for us to be thinking about what we believe to be true, because there's no better place than the drama of everyday life in the sixth house for that. But anyway, let's go forward to Libra.
So for Libra, we have Mars setting the stage from the fifth house, and Uranus responding from the eighth. So with Mars in the fifth, we're thinking about things like creative changes in life. An eclipse in the fifth house can mean that there's a new creative direction that you're seeking, that there are changes happening with respect to your children, or the topic of children in pregnancy could be important somehow. But also, like the creative risk taking is very Mars in the fifth. Anything that has to do with needing to more powerfully assert yourself creatively, spontaneously, playfully, for the sake of joy. Mars in the fifth house is kind of like, I'm going to go running, and I'm going to exert myself, and through exerting myself, find joy and happiness and a feeling of being powerful and confident that really wants to come through the drive of your assertiveness and will. So there's kind of a need for a stronger creative sense of vibrancy and happiness that's coming through the fifth.
Well, that's setting the stage for Uranus in the eighth, which is saying, well, in order to do this, something about my intimate exchanges and dynamics has to change. There has to be changes that come through the intimacy of my bonds and relationships. Also, anything that has to do with the deeper karma of parenting and your children could come up during this time, the deeper entanglements that we have karmically with our kids, or anything that we've created that has a way of providing us with useful feedback for the sake of growth and change.
All right, let's move on to Scorpios. So for Scorpio rising, Mars sets the action and establishes the drama. It tells you what's been happening when you get home to your house. You know, who's been in the house? What have they been doing? Well, Mars has been there in the fourth house, with an eclipse suggesting change around family, home, and roots, your living environment, your parental karma. There's a kind of a crossover here between like family, marriage, domestic themes, but they're usually kind of... it's kind of domestic. It has more to do with the entire private ecology of our life, the living space and the people that live there with us, and also parental, the living space we were raised in. So changes in that space of life are setting the stage for revolution around things like marriage relationships. And that could be that the topic of the family and the marriage are meeting because of family karma from your spouse, you know, or vice versa. But you get the idea. Mars is setting the stage in the house of family and home for revolution in the house of marriage and relationships.
All right, for Sagittarius. Excuse me, for Sagittarius, we have Mars in the third house squaring Uranus in the sixth. Mars sets the table. The drama of Mars in the third and the eclipse in the third is what Uranus is provided with. So this is change mentally and intellectually. This has to do with the nervous system, the brain, cognition. This also has to do with our psychology and our ego. And there's something here about needing to more forcefully or deeply learn how to express yourself. You know, the shift here will be maybe about how you handle conflicts, or how you handle boredom or a feeling of being stuck or even sort of immobile. And how do you create a feeling of momentum or change or mobility where there's been stuckness. And this might be something that really breaks down to a mental kind of change that needs to happen, a mental, intellectual change of behavior or character, or creative expression of your voice somehow. So asserting yourself, expressing yourself strongly, with conviction, with thoughtfulness, could create some conflict, some disruption of patterns, but they may also free you from places where you feel kind of like enslaved or trapped. So watch for those kinds of dynamics here. But Mars in the eclipse in the house of the mind and speech and communication in that everyday kind of immediate environment, seeking change and greater freedom, is what Uranus is going to try to help create through disruptions of daily routines, and through creating freedom where there's been maybe a sense of servitude or like mental or emotional slavery. That's very Uranus in the sixth.
Alright, let's go to Capricorn. So for Capricorn, it's Mars in the second setting the table, and the eclipse in the second setting the table. So we're talking about changes around money and values, materially speaking, what creates stability and material security? Mars is setting the stage here for Uranus in the fifth house. And here we're really talking about stress or changes around money, security, income, maybe placing some pressure on relationships or romantic spaces. That's possible, because the fifth house often has to do with that romantic space of joy and chemistry that we share with other people. And you know, sometimes financial things disrupt the joy and flow and ease with which we experience another person in relationship. Another thing would be that we're really talking about the desire to create changes financially that are connected to creativity. Or you could also say the desire to develop or refine skills and abilities relative to creative pursuits. This is where you might be spending money on a new instrument, a new musical instrument. Or you might be spending a lot of time investing time starting to write a book. The idea here in the second house is that there's a different kind of asset or resource that you're trying to create. That resource can be financial or material, but assets also are about what gives us a feeling that we have everything in our possession that we need, and sometimes that can be really intangible, especially with an air sign in the second. So what are you developing on the level of feeling capable and skilled and resourced, and how is that translating into creative pursuits? That's what I would be looking at for my Capricorns right now.
So for Aquarius rising, Mars in Aquarius in the first squares Uranus in Taurus in the fourth. Mars is setting the table in the first house where, you know, things like personal identity changes, transformation of character, transformation of body, the need to be assertive, or maybe even dealing with things like anger or aggression, have been present for you, Aquarians. And Pluto's in the first house. So for Aquarians, there's a lot of personal transformation happening. And Mars is squaring Uranus in the fourth house. So Uranus is trying to help that process of individuation or personal refinement and character evolution and development by saying, hey, well, let's respond by creating changes around living environments and the family scenario or the property that you live on, or how you find rest or relaxation, recovery and privacy. Revolution at the roots is responding, in other words, to an initiation of personal transformation in the first for Aquarians.
All right, finally, we have Pisces, and that means Mars is in the 12th house, setting the stage for Uranus in the third. So for Pisceans, you have those eclipses, that eclipse that just took place in the 12th, excuse me, and then Mars activating it. You're talking about things that are subconscious or unconscious that have been presenting themselves, that are calling for attention, that are spiking in drama or urgency, the feeling of dealing with, you know, detractors or... what am I thinking of, you know, kind of like subconscious or hidden enemies, kind of theme in the 12th house. But also anything that undermines you that comes from yourself. Those things might be peaking a little bit more, as is the urgency to look at things or confront things that are in the shadows. That is creating the scenario that Uranus in the third says, okay, well, in order to do that, let's create breakthroughs mentally and cognitively and psychologically. Let's create breakthroughs in terms of how we're thinking or how the environment around us is organized so that there's an ability to change based on the unconscious material that's coming up. So that's how I would look at those two corresponding.
All right. Well, we made it through. I hope that this gives you guys some good things to work with, as this square comes through, pretty dramatic square given the recent eclipse. So we'll keep our eye on this one. I'm curious to hear how you guys do with it. Hope you're having a great day, and we'll see you again tomorrow. Bye.
