We often think of Venus as the planet of desire, but when she sits at the throne of the Sun, something deeper is illuminated. In the sober, earthy sign of Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, the question transforms. It is no longer simply "What do I want?" but "What is worthy of my long-term devotion?" This cazimi marks a seeding point for a new cycle in your relationships, your values, and your understanding of worth. It’s a moment to discern what structures in your life support real intimacy and which have become rigid burdens.

Hey everyone. This is Adam Elenbaas from Nightlight Astrology [https://nightlightastrology.com/].
Happy Monday, everybody. Today, we're going to take a look at Venus cazimi. That is Venus conjunct, or at the heart of the Sun in the sign of Capricorn.
Now this is one of a few of these moments that we're going to be looking at this week. Mars is also combust slash moving into cazimi. The synodic resets of these planets are very interesting, highly charged symbols that we're going to be unpacking this week.
All of these planets are also moving through an opposition to Jupiter in the sign of cancer. So those three things, the Venus cazimi, the Mars cazimi, the series of oppositions to Jupiter will fill out most of our content for this week.
I've got a number of reflections and meditations on the symbolism to offer you guys this week. I'm excited for that, plus some other things in store. So that is our agenda for today.
Before we get into it, as always, please remember to like and subscribe. It helps our channel grow so much when you take a second to subscribe, especially you can find transcripts of any of these daily talks on the website that's Nightlight astrology.com.
Now, the big promotion for today and for this week is that through January 11, if you missed out on the Kickstarter sale, especially the sale of Our class passes that bring our training programs to 50% off if you bundle three or four programs, up to almost 75% off if you miss that sale, we are keeping it open until January 11.
We have a lot of people who, you know maybe their budgets needed to wait a little bit into January, or people who missed out on it who still want to take advantage of that sale. It's the only time during the year that we run a sale like this on our program.
So if you still want to pick up any of the rewards, or if you just want to pledge to the Kickstarter because you missed it, you'll find the link pinned to the top of the comment section or in the description of this video.
I know a lot of people when it comes to setting new year's resolutions. Set the resolution to dive into astrology at a much deeper level. Come study with us. We have amazing programs. Year one starts in June, year one starts again in November.
Year two starts along with horary in June, our year three programs, our guild program, our master classes, all start here in January and February. There is a ton of content that we have to help you transform your life from the inside out and prepare yourself to practice with other people professionally.
It's a great time to jump in on Nightlight classes while the sale is still going on until January 11, so you can, I'll take you over there really quick to you're going to find the Kickstarter link pinned to the top of the comment section again.
And when you go over there, you'll see at the top, it says, the project successfully funded, but you can still late pledge for available rewards. So if you then scroll down and you go all the way down to the bottom, you're going to see our class passes.

All right. Well, on that note, I hope you guys will enjoy today's episode on Venus cazimi. So I've prepared this for you today. It's a way of reflecting on the Venus retrograde.
But first, let's take a look at the real time clock, and you can see here on Monday, January 5, that Venus is at the heart of the sun. Now, if we take this forward another day, you'll see that that continues tomorrow, Tuesday, January 6, Wednesday, January 7, and it's not really until the end of the week, Thursday and Friday that Venus gets a full degree of separation from the sun.
So this is a week of Venus cazimi, in fact, and that means it's especially important to spend some time talking about it. Cazimi was considered an empowered moment for Venus being at the heart of the sun, but also it represents the seeding point of a new Venus cycle.
So with that in mind, I've written this reflection this morning that I'd like to share with you. As many of you know, I'm getting ready for the work on a new book, and so I've been in pre drafting mode and kind of trying to find the the streams that I really like. So I hope you'll enjoy this. It's kind of part of my workshopping. Uh creatively at the moment, this moment, called the cazimi, is one of the most powerful moments in the Venus cycle.
It's not always loud. It doesn't always announce itself with fireworks. It doesn't always feel like a massive climax, psychically or emotionally. In fact, it often feels more like a still, quiet point, a pause and a kind of sacred compression.
Venus disappears into the heart of the solar fires, and in doing so, is reborn in the ancient imagination. When a planet entered the heart of the sun, it was said to be seated beside the king or seated on the throne, not burned, no longer combust, not weakened, burnt up, but empowered, purified by proximity to the source of light, Venus, Planet of desire, Beauty, pleasure, love, harmony, attraction, esthetics is momentarily stripped of her visible form and returned to essence.
This is not Venus as ornamental beauty or desires indulgence. This is Venus as truth, truth and beauty fused as one. This rebirth right now is happening in the sign of Capricorn. Capricorn, I think it is safe to say, is not a very sentimental sign.
Capricorn does not traffic in fantasy. Doesn't promise ease. Capricorn asks us what lasts and what is real. It asks what we're willing to take responsibility for like a true Saturn ruled sign, what are you willing to commit to? What are we willing to build even when no one is watching?
So when Venus is reborn here in the sign of Capricorn, the question, I believe, is not what do I desire, but what is worthy of my consistent long term devotion? This cazimi marks the seeding moment of a new Venus cycle.
And so whatever Venus has been dissolving over the past weeks, old attachments, outdated values, pleasures that don't nourish us any longer, relationships that have lost their integrity now returns in a more distilled form. Something new is being planted, but in Capricorn, it's probably not flashy.
It's quiet, inward, intentional. It's a seed that will take time to grow and will only grow if tended with care and consistency over a long period of time. In Capricorn, I think we could say that Venus is reborn with a different posture. She's more sober, she's more discerning, she's less interested in instant gratification, and she's more interested in longevity.
What will last? What can I commit to? This is a Venus that asks us to mature our desires, to ask ourselves, not only what feels good or what do I want, but what is good for me, not only who or what I love, but how do I love and whether my love is sustainable?
Now, on the day of the cazimi itself, these next few days, there may be a sense of clarity without remarkable drama, a moment of insight that feels calm and grounded. This is an earth sign recognition that arrives not with excitement, but with gravitas.
You might notice a shift in how you relate to pleasure, affection, money, beauty, self, worth, something may just so quietly click into place, a decision might be made on an internal or psychic level, even if you're not acting upon it externally.
Yet, I think today, the next day, the next day as Venus stays in the cazimi, are good days for listening rather than pushing, for noticing rather than demanding, for sitting with questions rather than forcing answers.
This is the sobering effect of Venus sitting earthy, grounded, real, practical, mature, committed, disciplined in a Capricorn sign ruled by Saturn, Venus. Cazimi days are not often about immediate manifestation. They are usually about alignment.
When Venus is at the heart of the sun, the values of Venus are illuminated by solar consciousness. So we're shown gently but clearly what matters and what no longer matters. Capricorn adds a lot. The Rebirth of Venus is asking us to take things seriously.
Take your heart seriously. Take your love seriously. Take your relationship seriously. Treat love as something that requires structure, boundaries and accountability to understand that devotion isn't just a feeling but a practice.
You have to show up and you have to do it consistently, that beauty is not just something that we consume, but something we steward, that we shape with care and attentiveness over a long period of time, that worth isn't something we chase, but something we embody.
Reality that shows up because we've earned it. This Venus cycle, starting here in Capricorn, suggests a long arc of growth and development around relationships and values that are built slowly and intentionally incrementally, like climbing a mountain, it points toward commitments that deepen over time rather than burn brightly and fade, it favors partnerships any kind romantic or otherwise, that are rooted in mutual respect, commitment shared purpose and the willingness to do hard things together.
And I think we could also say that this speaks to our relationship with ourselves. Venus and Capricorn might ask, are you willing to show up for your own well being the exact same way that you would show up for someone that you love?
Are you willing to invest in your own healing, creativity, joy, happiness, even when it requires discipline, consistency and staying power? Are you willing to say no to what drains you so you can say yes to what nourishes you?
This is not a one off decision. It's a long term commitment. There's a quiet dignity to this Venus because of the Saturnian quality. She doesn't beg for affection, she doesn't Chase approval. She knows her value because she knows it is earned, not through perfection, but through perseverance.
This is a Venus, I think, that understands that love grows stronger and stronger and stronger when it is rooted in trust, and that trust grows when action matches intention. As this new Venus cycle unfolds in the weeks and months ahead, you may notice themes emerging around commitment, responsibility and long term vision in matters of love or value or material things, is a very earthly Venus sign, so even things like money can come up.
You may feel called to clarify what you are willing to invest your time, energy and emotional resources into. You may feel less tolerant of superficial things, superficial connections, more drawn toward depth, especially when depth requires maturity and adult level patience.
There can also be a very healing quality to this cazimi In the next few days, particularly around wounds that are related to rejection, inadequacy or scarcity. Capricorn carries the memory of striving, proving oneself, feeling that love must be earned.
So Venus reborn here also invites a kind of reorientation, not towards striving harder, but toward wiser effort, toward choosing relationships and values that reflect self respect rather than self sacrifice. And that's sometimes a fine line for Capricorn.
On a psychological level, this moment will ask us to examine the structures that we've built around love, the rules that we live by, the expectations that we carry, and look which of these are supportive and which are actually just terrible burdens, which help us grow and which keep us guarded.
Venus cazimi offers a chance to renegotiate these inner contracts through a moment of clarity, so we can release whatever has become rigid and reinforce what truly supports intimacy, love and trust.
You could say that Venus at the heart of the Sun is a moment of consecration, as in a ritual, there is a quiet dedication of the heart, and it might be good to mark this time in the next few days with a simple ritual like lighting a candle or journaling about what you're committing to love more deeply, or taking a moment to sit down and offer spoken gratitude for the relationships and values that have stood the test of time.
You might ask yourself, what kind of love Do I want to grow into this year? It's the start of a new year. It's a great time to set that intention. What kind of beauty do I want to cultivate, or what kinds of values do I want my life to reflect?
This isn't a Venus that promises ease, because it's work in Capricorn consistently. There's effort. There's a great mountain to be climbed, but it does promise that this will be meaningful and joyful if the commitment is real and correct.
No shortcuts here for this Venus, but solidity. It reminds us this Venus and Capricorn reset. I think that some of the most beautiful things in life are built slowly through repeated acts of care, honesty and presence, and then, as Venus emerges from the heart of the Sun in the days that follow, she gradually will become visible again in the next month, two months and the seeds planted now will take form.
What begins as a quiet knowing may become a clearer intention. What begins as an internal shift or value reorientation, can become an external commitment. So trust this process, trust the timing. It doesn't all have to happen this week today, this Venus cazimi is an invitation to love more maturely, to value with greater adult discernment, to build beauty that lasts.
I think it's a reminder that heart when aligned with purpose. And integrity becomes an architect of meaning in life. And sometimes the most important beginnings don't happen with a bang, but a moment of stillness at the center of the fire, the cazimi, where we can just see clearly what truly matters, and now quietly, choose to walk toward it one step at a time, one day at a time, one commitment at a time.
All right, that's what I've got for you guys today. I hope that was enjoyable. I hope you're off to a nice start to the new year. We'll see you again tomorrow. Bye.
